Who Put Jesus On The Cross Tozer

Who Put Jesus on the Cross?

Twelve sermons on Christian maturity, originally delivered at Southside Alliance Church, are provided by Mr. Tozer for your listening pleasure. The natural man, according to him, “is characterized by the ability to keep oneself so preoccupied with minor trifles that he is not forced to deal with the most essential issues connected to life and existence.” He believes that we spend too much time thinking about becoming great when we should be more concerned with being decent. According to him, it is critical for Christians not to lose sight of the fact that Jesus came to bring an end to themselves rather than to educate, tolerate, or polish them.

About A. W. Tozer

The poet Aiden Wilson Tozer (1897-1963) was born on a tiny farm in what is now the town of Newburg in Pennsylvania. His family relocated to Akron, Ohio, when he was a little kid, and he grew up there. Tozer was 17 years old when he heard a street preacher and responded to Christ’s call, which marked the beginning of his lifelong pursuit of God. After becoming an active witness for Jesus as a lay preacher, he joined the Christian and Missionary Alliance and was shortly appointed as the pastor of the Alliance Church in West Virginia, which was established in 1919.

  1. During that period, he preached on the radio station owned by the Moody Bible Institute.
  2. In 1950, he was appointed editor of The Alliance Lifemagazine, a position he held until his death in 1998.
  3. He was on a quest to discover God’s will after years of intense study and continual prayer.
  4. Tozer believed that “there was no substitute for seeing God directly.” He wrote many of his books with a single goal in mind: that his readers would find their true happiness in God and that they would be able to maintain their relationship with Him.
  5. Both he and his wife, Ada, led a modest, non-materialistic existence, and a large portion of the earnings from his works was donated to charitable organizations.

According to Tozer’s biographer, James L. Snyder, his “preaching and publications were just extensions of his prayer practice.” He has the power to force his audience to examine themselves in the light of what God was saying to them.”

Who Put Jesus on the Cross? by A W Tozer

After all was said and done, who was ultimately accountable for sending Jesus to the cross? Is it possible for us to ever be good enough for God? Is it true that all “religious” individuals will go to heaven? Who was it who nailed Jesus on the cross? A.W. Tozer tackles some of the most difficult problems that Christians have to face in their lives. His condemnation of a mediocre belief system serves as the foundation of his argument, in which he asks the reader what it truly costs to be a believer in Jesus Christ.

A W Tozer

Although A. W. Tozer passed away in 1963, his life and spiritual legacy continue to inspire many people to seek a deeper understanding of God. Throughout his life, Tozer served as a pastor in a number of Christian and Missionary Alliance congregations. His major focus was on missions and growing in one’s relationship with Christ. In addition, he worked as the editor of the Alliance Life. Despite the fact that he never got a formal theological education, Tozer wrote more than 40 works, including at least two masterpieces (The Pursuit of God and Knowledge of the Holy), which is an incredible feat for someone who never obtained a traditional theological education.

The presence of God served as his classroom, and his notes and tools were prayer, God’s Word, and the writings of early Christians and theologians, the Puritans, and those great men of faith who had gone before him. – According to the publisher.
