Last week, we discussed the words of Jesus that he used to describe Hell.
This week, we’ll be looking at what Jesus taught about Heaven, which is both His home and the future home of anyone who place their faith in him for redemption of their soul.
When we consider the Old Covenant, we must recall that no one went to Heaven when they died under its terms.
It was necessary for man’s sins to be totally atoned for and for him to be made perfect in order to be admitted into Heaven.
The work of Jesus on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins was completed on our behalf by His death.
As the one who opened the path to Heaven, Jesus is trustworthy to forgive sinners and to impute His righteousness to them when they repent and place their confidence in His work (2 Cor 5:20).

Forgiveness of sins results in perfection in God’s eyes because of Jesus’ imputed righteousness (His righteousness attributed to us).When Jesus talked of the place of the righteous dead during His earthly ministry, He was alluding to a location on the earth that He referred to as Abraham’s Bosom (Luke 16) and Paradise (Matthew 16).(Luke 23:43).When Jesus ascended to Heaven (Acts 1), He ″emptied″ Abraham’s Bosom and escorted the believers who died under the Old Covenant to Heaven, the location where God dwelt at that time (Eph 4:8).You may read more about what Jesus had to say about Abraham’s bosom here: Abraham’s Bosom.

So What Did Jesus Say About Heaven?

Surprisingly, Jesus didn’t say much about Heaven in the Bible. He spoke more about everlasting life and how one can enter Heaven than He did on the location of Heaven, which is a bit surprising. With these statements, Jesus provided a direct allusion to Heaven while comforting the disciples on their journey to Jerusalem: John 14:2 (KJV) There are many mansions in my Father’s home
if this were not the case, I would have informed you. I’m going to go set up a space for you. John 14:3 (KJV) Moreover, if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into myself, so that where I am, ye may be as well. 14:4 (John 14:4) And you know where I’m going, and you know how I’m getting there. God’s dwelling place (His Father’s house) was revealed to Jesus through these words, confirming that Heaven is a genuine location and that God is a real being. God the Father’s residence in Heaven was mentioned nineteen times by Jesus, including the following: 5:16 (Matthew 5:16) Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven
Mat 5:45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven
for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust
Mat 5:48 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven

Consequently, you will be perfect in every way, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Heaven is Perfect

We know from all of Jesus’ statements that Heaven is the location where we will spend eternity with God once we pass away from this earth.
We know that it is a place of rest and tranquility, as well as a place of perfect unity and communion with our Creator, Lord, and Saviour, as well as a place of perfect union and communion with ourselves.
We are aware that it is a crowded area that has been prepared by Jesus (John 14:1-3).
We also understand that, at the same time that Jesus is preparing Heaven for us, He is simultaneously preparing us to go to Heaven.
We are being transformed into His likeness via the power of His Holy Spirit.

The Model Prayer’s teaching about heaven

Jesus instructed us to pray for the establishment of God’s Kingdom on Earth.
He never instructed us to pray that we might enter the kingdom of heaven.
Instead of our going to heaven, the Kingdom of God will arrive and establish itself on this planet.

The future resurrection

To conclude, let us look at how Christ depicted the events that took place in the aftermath of His return to this world.
We read the following passage from John 5:28-29: Take this without a second thought, because the hour is approaching when all those who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good will be raised to eternal life, and those who have done evil will be raised to eternal condemnation.
Friends, did you get what I was saying?
Those who are in the graves, rather than in heaven, will hear the voice of Jesus, according to the Bible.
You could believe that this is just relevant to evil individuals, but that is not the case.
Take note that he stated, ″Those who have done well.″ As a result, Christ was effectively stating that the righteous are in their graves awaiting the Savior’s second coming.

Lazarus, heaven and the resurrection

If not heaven, then what?

Heaven is not the reward for those who do good deeds.
When we die, we really do die.

The 2 Requirements to Enter Heaven – God Revealed to Me

God revealed to me the two conditions for entering heaven during a visitation on the 9th of July, 2015. God also showed the following throughout that same night:

Earthquakes and odd objects rising in the sky are common occurrences.
In Kenya, a heavy dark cloud is falling and many people are being swept away by its waters.
God destroys and murders in order to protect His people.

It is necessary for someone to do the following in order to reach heaven:

Be born again and
Love

You must be reborn.
When Jesus spoke to Nicodemus the Pharisee in John 3:3, Jesus said: ″Most surely, I say unto you, unless a person is born again, he will not see the kingdom of God.″ What is the process through which a person can be reborn?
That’s exactly the question Nicodemus posed.
Nicodemus questioned Him, saying, ″How can a man be born when he is old?″ (John 3:4).
Is it possible for him to enter his mother’s womb for a second time and be born?

According to John 3:5, Jesus said, ″I guarantee you that unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he will not be able to enter the kingdom of God.″

What is being born of water?

Before Jesus began speaking, a voice in the wilderness cried out, demanding that people be baptized with water.Mt 3:1-2 (KJV): As a result of his preaching in the Judaean wilderness, John the Baptist called on people to repent since the kingdom of heaven was near.baptism with water signifies a repentance-filled life.

Acts 19:4 (NIV): John, according to Paul, baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should place their faith in Him who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus, and that they should repent.
John the Baptist was laying the groundwork for the coming of Jesus.
John 1:23 (New International Version) ‘I am the voice of one calling out in the desert, Make straight the way of the Lord,’ he declared, echoing the words of the prophet Isaiah, who claimed that baptism with water for repentance was preparing the way for the kingdom of God to come and dwell among mankind.
After introducing himself, Jesus continued with the message of John the Baptizer, ‘Repent, because the kingdom of heaven is at hand’ (Mk 1:14-15), but He did not baptize with water, but with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

As I baptize you with water toward repentance, so He who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not fit to wear: He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire, as I baptize you with water unto repentance.
Keep in mind that, prior to His death and resurrection, Jesus did not baptize any individuals.
Jesus himself did not baptize, but his followers did.

Baptism with water is an external indication of repentance, and it was superseded by baptism with the Holy Spirit and baptism with fire in the book of John.As you can see, baptism with water is an outward demonstration of one’s willingness to repent.Repentance makes it possible for the Holy Spirit to come into a person’s life and dwell inside them.

A person who has not repented will not be able to receive the Holy Spirit (or reside in the kingdom of heaven).Reason Repentance is preached by John the Baptist, Jesus, and His disciples.Only through repentance can a human being be prepared to enter the kingdom of heaven.It is time to repent for the kingdom of god is at hand.See what it takes to be repentant.Becoming baptized with water is the same as getting born of water, which is baptism of repentance; having repented and being remorseful are two different things.

You must repent in order to reach paradise; else, you will perish.Lk 13:3 (NIV): I assure you that this is not the case; yet, unless you repent, you will all perish.Because baptism with water, the external evidence of repentance, has been replaced by baptism with the Holy Spirit, you no longer need to display an outward sign of repentance to demonstrate to mankind that you have repented.Only God knows whether or not a person has truly repented of his or her sins.

Repentance is defined as ceasing to sin.If you have sincerely repented, you will not commit another sin in the future.It is unlikely that you will ever be drunk again if you have sincerely repented of your drinking habits.For example, if you have repented of sexual immorality, you will not repeat the same crimes again, and so on.This is what sincere repentance looks like.

Moreover, if you sincerely repent, you are born of water, which means you are born of repentance.

What is being born of Spirit?

When a person sincerely repents, the Holy Spirit descends upon him or her and takes up residence in them.This is what it means to be born of the spirit; to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.Refer to the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit cannot reside in a person unless that person has been born of water and repented.
If the Holy Spirit is present in a person, and that person sins and refuses to repent, the Holy Spirit will leave that individual.
See why the Holy Spirit has left the room.
A person must die to the flesh in order for the Holy Spirit to reside within him or her; a person must die to the flesh in order to be born of the spirit.

Gal 5:24 (NIV): And those who belong to Christ have crucified their body with its passions and lusts, just as Christ did.
When the Holy Spirit takes up residence in a person, that person begins to live spiritually.
A person’s carnal (natural) nature gives way to spirituality, and vice versa.

One’s carnal nature is replaced with a spiritual nature.Romans 8:6 says that to be carnally oriented is to die, but to be spiritually minded is to live and be at peace.What exactly are you thinking about?

Is it vehicles, building earthen castles, deciding what you will eat and where you will eat it, money, celebrity, power, or something else?This is being carnally minded, and it is an act of hostility toward God.Because the carnal mind is at odds with God, according to Romans 8:7.A person who has been born of the spirit is led, directed, guided, and taught by the Holy Spirit and does not rebel against him or her, as other people do.He/she is guided by the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire.The Holy Spirit is represented by the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire.

A person who has been born of the spirit possesses the kingdom of God inside him or her.The kingdom of God is characterized by peace, justice, and pleasure.According to Romans 14:17, the kingdom of God is not composed of meal and drink, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.See, the kingdom of God is not in words, but in deeds and deeds are spoken.
