After receiving His baptism, Jesus journeyed to the Judean wilderness, leaving the Jordan River behind. He would be alone at that location, preparing to commence His mission. The forty days and nights that Jesus spent in the desert were a spiritual test for him. The moment was right for him to feel close to His heavenly Father. When Jesus reached the conclusion of the 40-day fast, he was extremely hungry, and Satan came to tempt Him. Satan made fun of Jesus. He asserted that if Jesus was indeed the Son of God, He should be able to transform stones into bread so that He might eat.

“It is stated, Man shall not live by food alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God,” He said in response to Satan’s question.

Satan returned to tempt Jesus once more.

After being baptized by John (Matthew 3:13–17), being tempted in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1–2), beginning His preaching ministry (Matthew 4:17), calling His first disciples (John 1:35–51), performing His first miracle (John 2:1–11), and traveling to Capernaum with His family, He returned to Jerusalem (John 2:12).

To this, we may add the 40 days that elapsed between Jesus’ resurrection and His ascension (Acts 1:3), giving us a complete time frame for the duration of Jesus’ earthly mission.

Joseph is not mentioned again until he and Mary return to the feast to pick up Jesus, who was twelve at the time and was sitting in the temple asking questions. “And everyone who heard him were surprised at his comprehension and his responses,” the Bible says of his understanding and answers (Luke 2:47).

When Jesus was twelve years old, he became old enough to speak in the temple since the Jews thought that age to be the age of responsibility; consequently, the boy transitioned from being a kid to becoming a young man at that age.

The Beginning of Jesus’ Ministry

Although there is substantial doubt that Jesus began His earthly mission at or around the age of thirty, the number thirty has special importance in both the Bible and contemporary society. According to Jewish tradition, Joseph began ruling Egypt at the age of thirty, thirty is the minimum age to be a member of the United States Congress, and Jewish law requires congregants to seek certain qualities when selecting a cantor to lead the services on the High Holidays, but they must be at least thirty years old; thus, thirty appears to be the “moment of truth” for the Jews.

It’s possible that the actual mystery is why so many people do not believe in Jesus Christ.

John’s Ends, Jesus’ Begins

Beginning with John the Baptist’s arrest, Jesus’ earthly ministry began, which coincided with His defeat of Satan during the temptation in the wilderness. The words “inspire,” “prophet,” “evangelist,” and “teacher” are all used to describe people.

What are these five ministries, and what do they do? Is this type of ministry utilized in our congregations? Pastors are frequently referred to be people who take the lead in congregations, but what about the other four ministry roles? We don’t know what to make of the apostles, prophets, teachers, and evangelists (preachers), to name a few examples. Is there anyone like this in our social circles? Such ministries (Gifts) are dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit to function properly. Going to a Bible school or seminary is not the best way to learn about such missions.

1 Corinthians 12:8-10 specifies nine different gifts of the Holy Spirit, the list of which includes the following:

Interpreting Languages

A variety of gifts are required for various ministries. For example, having the ability to cure others is a valuable asset for an evangelist. A prophet must be endowed with the ability to prophecy. Similar to this, the keeper (shepherd) should be gifted with knowledge and understanding. (Can you tell me how old Jesus was when he began his ministry?)

Why Was Jesus Ministry Only 3 Years

In light of the fact that we know that Jesus began his mission at the age of 30, and that he died at the age of 33, we may conclude that Jesus’ ministry lasted just three years.

FAQ About Jesus’s Ministry

1.What did Jesus do between the ages of twelve and thirty? Even though the Bible does not mention the Lord Jesus’ childhood from the age of 12 until he began his public ministry at the age of 30, the Bible is not completely quiet on the subject. Answer: The fallacy propagated by opponents of God and the Lord Jesus that the Bible says nothing about his age range of 12 to 30 years is therefore unfounded. On the basis of this illusion propagated by them, they spread another lie that the Lord Jesus traveled to India and learned from the people there before returning to Israel and preaching in accordance with those teachings.

2.What did Jesus do when he was 12 years old?
Then, when he was twelve years old, Jesus addressed the instructors in the temple.
His Kingdom-preaching mission and education of the people officially began at that point.
No one knows where he went when he was thirteen years old.
During his lifetime, there is no reference of him in the Bible.
In addition, a report on all of the foregoing studies has been published in the ‘Los Angeles Times’ newspaper.
As a result, Jesus began his public ministry beyond the age of thirty.

His father’s name was Joseph, to give you an idea of who he was. He was a carpenter, and when he was in his 20s, Jesus took up the carpentry work for his family. In addition to assisting his stepfather with carpentry labor, Jesus took care of the family following Joseph’s death.

1. Jesus Begins His Ministry (John 1:1-34)

Background/Review

As an example, say: “We just celebrated Christmas.” We are all familiar with the tale of Jesus’ birth, which takes place in Bethlehem with Mary and Joseph. We decorated our home with a little manger scene to remind us of the unique manner Jesus decided to enter the earth. (Lead the children in singing the opening line of “Away in a Manger.”) It is a fantastic story, and it is good that we can commemorate it on this day every year. The life of Jesus and what happened to Him as He got older will be the subject of our study over the following few months.

I have a couple questions concerning Jesus that I would want to ask.
Consider the question of how He can be both God and man.
Was it truly necessary for his parents to teach him how to walk and talk, or did he simply pretend not to know anything in order to avoid hurting their feelings when they attempted to teach him things?
God can’t possibly be exhausted.
The book of John, on the other hand, provides some solutions.
They are the gospel writers Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
He was a member of Jesus’ inner circle.

He tells us about Jesus’ life, although his account is substantially distinct from the other three gospels in terms of content.

John, on the other hand, backs up, and he backs up a lot.

We’ve all heard those phrases somewhere before.

Was Jesus still alive at the time?

“Logos” is the word used in Greek to describe this.

Was already there at the start of the game.

He was there with God at the beginning of time.

Nothing that has been created has been created without His involvement.

Because I’m unable to demonstrate a Spirit, let’s assume that this water represents God’s Spirit and Jesus’ Spirit.

However, in reality, they are not confined at all!

They were, however, always in the same place.

Jesus lived prior to the formation of the world as a spiritual being.

He was simply always there.

When He spoke, the light, the sun, and the moon were formed as a result of His words.

His word produced the oceans (raise your hand to a seashell), the big oak trees (raise your hand to a tree), and, most importantly, humans like as you and me.

All of these things were made by Jesus, and they were all extremely excellent.

However, the people quickly discovered that they were in the midst of a major crisis.

They made the decision to do things their way.

Pry open the people’s eyes and reveal the dark markings hidden within.

It’s a major issue since their sin caused them to be estranged from God.

He’d get them back to their original state!

They waited for generation after generation after generation after generation after generation.

He chose to make His home among us.

It is the crowning achievement of the one and only Son.

And He was overflowing with kindness and truth.

The Word took into human form (NIV).

What happened here is not perfectly illustrated in a textbook!

It is a total wonder, an astounding work of a flawless God.

Jesus became a human being at just the correct moment.

I’m not sure how He achieved it, but Jesus took on the characteristics of flesh and blood that you and I share.

Are you able to feel your skin and bones, everyone?

In Philippians 2:6-7, it is said that, despite the fact that (Jesus) was God, He did not consider His equality with God anything to cling to.

(New Living Translation)When Jesus came to earth as a newborn human, He chose to empty Himself.

Fill the pitcher halfway with sponge water.

He grew up in the town of Nazareth.

Place the sponges representing the people next to the sponge portraying Jesus.

On the outside, they should be fairly identical in appearance.

According to the Bible, there was nothing particularly remarkable about His appearance (Isaiah 53:2).

However, there was one significant difference.

Jesus was completely without sin. Of course, we can’t see sin on the surface of a person, but sin was there on the inside of every other individual as well. When Jesus was a child growing up in Nazareth, none of His neighbors were aware that they were living next door to the Savior of the world!

John In The Wilderness

Later, God sent a special messenger to inform everyone that the Savior was about to come into the world. Who knows who the messenger was in the first place. John (not the author of this book, but the son of Zechariah and Elizabeth) is a biblical figure. Do you recall that incredible story that happened soon before Christmas?) I would have delighted to have had the opportunity to meet John! John is not the type of person who is concerned with what other people think of him. The majority of people are concerned about what other people think of them.

There is no way we want other people to perceive ourselves as odd or out of the ordinary.

He couldn’t care less about being accepted.

He followed God’s instructions to the letter!

He began preaching it, and he preached it loudly.

To hear him speak, people had to go a long distance out of town in order to hear him preach.

What Mark has to say about John is as follows: As a result, John arrived.

In addition, he preached that people should be baptized and repent of their transgressions.

All of the people from Judea’s rural areas flocked to him in solidarity.

John baptized them in the Jordan River after they confessed their sins and received forgiveness from God.

In the middle of his waist was a leather belt.

Here’s what John had to say in his sermon.

I’m not strong enough to get down on my knees and undo His sandal laces.

He will, on the other hand, baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” — Mark 1:14-8:00 Say:An increasing number of people came out to hear John speak.

They were perplexed as to whether he was the Savior.

One day, John looked up and saw Jesus approaching him.

The Lamb of God, the Son of God!

This is the one I was referring to before.

God, on the other hand, wishes to make it crystal plain to Israel who this Person is.

Upon Jesus’ arrival, John declared that Jesus was the One and only!

JESUS.

Isn’t it fantastic that John was constantly tuned in to God’s voice and guidance?

Jesus desired to demonstrate to everyone who was present that John’s message was correct.

Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.

A voice from the heavenly realm remarked, “This is my Son, and I adore him very much.

God poured His Spirit out on Jesus (Luke 4:1).

So now, we have an amazing thing.

In the coming weeks, we’ll see the amazing miracles that Jesus did because He was filled with God’s Holy Spirit.

Even the smartest grown ups don’t fully grasp how any of this happened.

That is calledhaving faith.

Jesus always existed.

The people chose to sin, and they were separated from Him.

He left heaven.

Somehow, He emptied Himself of His power.

And when the time was right, He came out to be baptized by John the Baptist.

In the coming weeks, we will read about the amazing things Jesus did: He healed the sick, made blind people see, made demons flee, and even raised people from the dead!
