Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!I wanted to share with you some of my many DIY projects, so I’ll be publishing and sharing some of the great DIY projects that I’ve completed in the coming months.The fact that I am a believer of Christ has lead me to seek into Christian retirement communities for my parents, which has brought me to this retirement community in Toronto.This sparked the idea for my first DIY, which will be a DIY Jesus costume, which I will share with you as Halloween approaches.

Start with making the primary portion of your Jesus costume, which will be a long tunic made out of white cloth.The robe should be ankle-length and have long bell-shaped sleeves to complement the dress.2.Construct a sleeveless tunic out of brown cloth that will be worn over the white robe.This is accomplished by folding the cloth in half and cutting a circle in the centre for the entrance for the mouth.

Sew up the sides starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top, allowing enough leeway at the top for the arms to poke out.
A corded rope, such as jute in a natural tone, can be tied around the waist to keep it secure.
Alternatives to the brown tunic include draped red cloth over your shoulder and around your waist, which can be tied at the waist with a long red ribbon.

Put on a long brown wig with a big beard and mustache; costume shops have a variety of designs in this category.

How to Make Joseph & Mary Costumes With Sheets

How to Make Bible Costumes Out of Sheets

To draw a huge, round plate on the sheet, start with a pencil and trace the plate around the page.Then cut a hole in the center of the circular to accommodate your head.You should try it on to ensure that it fits comfortably over your head..Then, reduce the length above the feet so that the ankles may be seen through.

If the sheet is long enough to cover the sides of the body, you can cut armholes in it.
If you don’t want your flesh to show through, leave the sides open and put a similar shirt below them.
It is recommended that the belt for this costume be created from a thick length of rope.
Alternatively, you may tie it in a loose knot and let it to droop on one side.
Get a piece of black cloth and cut out a long strip to use as a substitute if you don’t have any rope on hand.
Also required for biblical figures are sandals; nevertheless, these shoes should not have high heels or be embellished in any way.

A pair of slippers or flats in an earthy color would also be appropriate.Made from light blue or white pillowcases, you may create Mary and Joseph costumes for youngsters of a young age.Make a basic tunic out of the pillowcase by cutting armholes on the sides and a hole in the top for the head.If the case is not long enough to seem demure, use safety pins to attach a piece of blue or white cloth to the bottom of the case to make it look more demure.

Alternatively, you can cut the seams off another pillowcase and lay it on the child’s head after shortening the pillowcase if necessary.
It may be held in place with a flexible headband, rope, or more fabric.
Dress it up with a belt and a pair of flat leather sandals.

Choose a brown or cream-colored pillowcase for Joseph, and use it to make the basic tunic top that he will wear.Joseph will also require a skirt, which you may construct from a cloth with an earthy tone.Instead of a skirt, Joseph can go for a pair of baggy, loose-fitting pants.

Don’t forget to include the sandals, belt, and head covering in your ensemble.

Additional Nativity Characters

The three kings may be dressed in old bathrobes in solid colors, with strands of gold tinsel sewn onto them using safety pins to give them a festive appearance.To make a necklace, create an eye-catching pendant out of gold card and glitter and thread it onto a piece of satin ribbon.A crown made of gold cardboard is also a nice touch (or neutral cardstock painted yellow).Put on a belt made of gold material or a flashy belt that you already own to finish the look off perfectly.

Shepherds can be seen walking around in brown hessian bags (find them at local garden centers).Incorporate a long skirt and belt with sandals for the final look.For the head covering, a patterned tea towel with a flexible band would suffice.Shepherds can make a crook out of a garden cane or a broom handle if they want to be really genuine.

Bible Costume in Five Minutes

In this brief video, I demonstrate how to build a Bible costume in five minutes or less, without the need of any stitching.(This video has received more than 292K views!) The costume is quite adaptable and may be used in a variety of settings and time periods.An old white bed sheet, a pair of cloth shears, and a bottle of fabric glue are all you’ll need to complete this project.In addition, you will require a rope to serve as a belt.

Fold the sheet in half to make a square.The fold is located at the very top.If necessary, you may have someone lay down on top of it to ensure that the tunic is long enough.If so, you might want to consider using a queen- or king-sized sheet instead.

After that, add a long, black wig and a beard to complete the look.Sandals or bare feet are also acceptable alternatives for footwear.

Adam and Eve

Cleopatra of Jerusalem was a lady who lived during the Roman Empire’s first century BC. She was known for her beauty and strength. She was Herod the Great’s fifth wife and the mother of his five children.

Biography

There is a chance that Cleopatra was the daughter of a local lord from Jerusalem, according to historical evidence. She was born and nurtured in the city, and her ancestors might have been Jewish or Edomite-Phoenician, depending on who you ask. As a way of distinguishing herself from the Ptolemaic Greek Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt, Cleopatra was given the title Cleopatra of Jerusalem. The children of Cleopatra by Herod were raised and schooled in the city of Rome.After her husband’s death in 4 BC, her second son inherited a portion of his father’s realm and ruled as a Roman client king until his death in 34 BC, when he was overthrown.Cleopatra eventually became the mother-in-law of Philip’s wife, Salome, and Salome’s niece.Philip and Salome were unmarried and had no children.

Step 1: Cut the Star

Increase the size of the star pattern and cut it out of cardboard.Make an aperture that is large enough to accommodate the child’s face; it is preferable to begin by cutting a smaller hole and then holding it up to the child’s face to determine the proper size.You have the option of making the hole larger if necessary.Make holes along the edge of the star using a nail or a drill to hold the star in place.

Poke the star from the front to the rear to give it a more refined appearance on the front.Step 4: Download the Patternstar costume for free.

Step 2: Paint the Star

Allow the star to dry after painting it gold. Make certain that the paint is even and thick enough to completely cover the cardboard. It may be necessary to apply two coats to completely cover the surface. 5th step in making a star costume

Step 3: Add Glitter

Craft glue should be applied to the star.While the glue is still wet, sprinkle glitter on top of the glue and set aside to dry completely.Shake off any extra glitter when it has dried.Using tiny sections makes it easier to avoid the glue drying up before you can apply the glitter.
