Who Crucified Jesus Yahoo Answers

Companions who were watching Jesus crucified?

15 years ago today The fact that I was present at Christ’s crucifixion and did nothing is shocking to all of the believers. They were so weak that they never stood up for themselves? Isn’t it true that they should have died in order to preserve Jesus? Later on, they spread the teachings, and as a result, we received every aspect of religion from such individuals. 15 years ago today Tom D’s Favorite Response They most likely did not want a Roman spear thrust into their chest. Have you ever stood by and seen anything go horribly wrong because you were worried about your own safety?

Do not pass judgment, lest you too be considered a good Christian.

Anonymous Only someone who was genuinely selfless and enlightened would have given their life for the sake of Jesus.

His followers were probably not convinced that he had risen from the dead until they saw his resurrected body emerge from the tomb.

  • They were clearly inspired in their works, but I feel that they can only be comprehended and viewed through spiritual eyes.
  • However, when one looks beneath the words, with the eyes of Spirit, one discovers a vast and inexhaustible Truth.
  • The New Testament serves as a guide for individuals who are dying to their egos, as well as for those who have been given spiritual eyes to see with.
  • Egos wreak havoc on the Bible, claiming to be acting in the name of Jesus.

  • Jesus was completely aware of his responsibilities, and as a result, he did not struggle or attempt to flee.
  • Furthermore, seeking vengeance or retaliating in any form is not appropriate Christian behavior.

Yahoo Answers is dead, but its weird and amusing legacy lives on

CNETI photo by Angela Lang It has come to an end. In the early hours of May 4, Yahoo Answers was taken offline, bringing an end to one of the strangest, oldest, and least structured groups of people who submitted questions and received answers from others. From interesting thought experiments (from luminaries such as Stephen Hawking, no less) to the silliness of someone asking the community, “What did my father just say to me,” the site’s apparently constant procession of user-submitted inquiries covered a wide spectrum of topics.

  1. Sean Buckley of CNET sent this screenshot of Yahoo Answers.
  2. Some of the questions became well-known memes in and of themselves.
  3. The group became a goldmine of material for YouTube comedians, including PewDiePie, who benefited from the wealth of content.
  4. Yahoo Answers left a lasting impression.
  5. Let us entertain your brain with the most interesting news, from streaming to superheroes, memes to video games, and everything in-between.

What Yahoo Answers was supposed to be

When Yahoo introduced its question-and-answer platform in 2005, it had no intention of becoming a fixture of online comedy. However, that is exactly what happened. Described as “a platform where individuals can ask each other questions on any topic, and get answers by sharing facts, views, and personal experiences,” the service was launched by the firm in 2010. Even yet, Yahoo Answers was not formed for the sake of its own existence; rather, it was designed to assist in the improvement of Yahoo Search results.

  • It’s easy to lose sight of just how influential Yahoo used to be.
  • In 2005, on the other hand, it was up against stiff opposition.
  • This is a great example of technical help.
  • Long term, Answers has the potential to attract incremental users, increase time spent on the Yahoo!

Yahoo Answers was never truly about the answers, which may explain why the service became most well-known for the questions that its users submitted.

What Yahoo Answers became

Regardless of what Yahoo Answers was intended to be, it is most well-known for the startling and bizarre questions that users have submitted to the service. Most searches for Yahoo Answers on search engines like Google, YouTube, and other platforms returned lists of ridiculous and humorous musings before the news of the shutdown surfaced. It is possible to find dozens of comedy films that parody Yahoo Answers’ oddest inquiries, and teasing these often too-personal queries will be a part of the service’s history for the foreseeable future.

  1. More in-depth searches may take you to difficult, but harmless inquiries about growing up and human development – potentially the questions of children who are too ashamed to ask their parents about their development and growth.
  2. Some of the queries were just kids attempting to “get help” with their schoolwork via the internet.
  3. CNET / Sean Buckley captured this snapshot of Yahoo Answers.
  4. A question asker may select the most appropriate solution to each given question, which would assist the individual who wrote that answer receive points and move up in a ranking system inside the organization.
  5. One of the things that made Yahoo Answers intriguing was the sense of community that existed there.
  6. Facebook and Reddit were both in their infancy at the time, while Twitter was just a few months away from being a reality.
  7. It was created at a period when users on the internet were migrating away from traditional message board systems and chat rooms.
  8. CNET / Sean Buckley captured this snapshot of Yahoo Answers.
  9. CNET / Sean Buckley captured this snapshot of Yahoo Answers.

Even in its closing days, browsing the categories on Yahoo Answers brought up plenty of traditional inquiries seeking answers (“Can you write on money?” and “How can I get a grease stain out of concrete,” for example), but you could also discover the same kinds of debates you’d expect to see on Reddit.

These range from new parents inquiring about the name of their kid in the parenting forum to political partisans arguing the latest headlines in the politics and news sections.

Yahoo Answers and the internet afterlife

After May 4, the Yahoo question-and-answer service will be phased off, just like GeoCities was before it. There will be no formal attempts to preserve or archive the service in its current form or format. Unless an outside organization steps in, the millions of questions on Yahoo Answers – chaotic, humorous, and exquisite – will be lost to the passage of time. CNET / Sean Buckley captured this snapshot of Yahoo Answers. Thank goodness for the internet, where there is always someone willing to maintain a peculiar database of awful spelling and unusual questions – even when it may not be worth preserving in the first place.

Because of this, a group known as the Archive Team began working on a similar project in 2016.

Whether for the better or for the worse, the bizarre legacy of Yahoo Answers will be preserved on the Internet Archive.

As God incarnate, Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity, our creator, the resurrected savior and redeemer, and the only method of redemption for sinners. He is also known as the Son of God.

Jesus: Overview

In the first century A.D., Jesus of Nazareth was a Jewish carpenter and teacher who lived in Nazareth. Jesus is the Messiah (Anointed One) of Israel, and he is the Son of God. He was born as God in the flesh, lived among mankind, and taught the Jewish people about a “new covenant” that would replace the old one. Around the year 30 A.D., he was crucified by Roman authority. After his death, Jesus was buried, and on the third day, he rose from the dead to demonstrate his victory over death. Throughout his life and ministry, as well as through his miracles, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ demonstrates his mission: He is both God and the Savior of the world.

Did Jesus Really Exist?

Yes, there was a person named Jesus. He was a Jewish man who was born at the end of the first century B.C. in the town of Nazareth. In the first century AD, he lived and taught in ancient Palestine, which was then a Roman province. The Bible’s first four books of the New Testament, known as the Gospels, contain accounts of Jesus’ life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, all of which are based on the historical events of his death and resurrection. Other non-biblical sources also point to Jesus’ actual life and the early followers of the Messiah.

GenealogyBirth of Jesus

When the Holy Spirit covered his mother, Mary, Jesus was miraculously conceived without the involvement of a sexual partner (Luke 1:35). He was therefore born into a family that included some of the most well-known figures in the Old Testament, as well as a number of women. In the Gospels, there are two distinct genealogies that are recorded. In the Gospel according to Matthew (1:1–17), the lineage begins with Abraham and continues via King David until Jesus’ birth, which is most likely traced through Mary.

According to Luke’s gospel (Luke 3:23–38), Jesus’ ancestry may be traced all the way back to Adam through the lineage of his earthly adopted father. According to Jewish messianic prophecies (Jeremiah 23:5–6), we can see how Jesus was rightly referred to be the Son of David in both lineages.

Jesus’ LifeMinistry

During his early years, Jesus lived at Nazareth, a tiny town in the Galilee region on the eastern Mediterranean Sea’s southeastern shore. He was reared as an observant Jew, and he had brothers and sisters, as well as a carpenter’s apprenticeship under his belt (Mark 6:3). The prophet John the Baptist baptized him when he was around 30 years old, and he immediately began serving as an itinerant rabbi, or a Jewish teacher, throughout the surrounding area (Mark 1:19–15). he drew followers to himself and taught the throngs of people who had congregated in his vicinity His supporters eventually declared him to be the Christ, or the “anointed one” in the biblical sense (Matthew 16:16).

Jesus’ TeachingMiracles

There were numerous topics covered in Jesus’ teachings, including love, the kingdom of God, repentance, non-hypocritical confidence in God, forgiveness, discipleship and prayer. He also spoke about marriage, divorce, everlasting judgment, and eternal life for those who believed. His preferred technique of imparting spiritual lessons was through “parables,” which are short tales intended to convey a spiritual message. The miracles performed by Jesus were another important component of his mission.

Among other things, Jesus accomplished the miracles listed below throughout his public ministry:

  • He transformed water into wine (John 2:1–11)
  • He healed a paralytic (Mark 2:1-12)
  • He healed a withered hand (Mark 3:1–3)
  • And he raised the dead (Luke 4:1–6). The following are examples of Jesus’ healing abilities: Calmed a storm (Mark 4:35–41)
  • Healed a servant from afar (Luke 7:1–10)
  • Revived a dead man (Luke 7:11–17)
  • Healed a bleeding woman (Luke 8:43–48)
  • Healed a man born blind (John 9:1–12)
  • Fed the multitudes (Matthew 14:13–21)
  • Walked on water

Sermon on the Mount

The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7) is considered to be Jesus’ most famous sermon. Jesus put forth some of his most well-known teachings, including the Lord’s Prayer, in this collection of sayings. It is the longest continuous teaching discourse known in the New Testament, and it is delivered by Jesus himself. The discourse (Matthew 5:3–12) offered rewards to individuals who exhibited specific traits (for example, being poor in spirit and compassionate). It featured Jesus’ mission to fulfill the requirements of the Old Testament law (Matthew 5:17–20), among other things.

He also taught on a variety of other topics.

Biblical Sources for Jesus

The four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) serve as the major source for information on Jesus’ life. Each of these biographies offers a unique viewpoint on the life and work of Jesus and his disciples. The Synoptic Gospels are the first three Gospels of the New Testament that are organized in a roughly chronological manner. The Gospel of John is organized more topically, with a strong emphasis on theological topics, than the other gospels. In addition, every other New Testament copy (with the exception of the letter of 3 John) refers to Jesus by his first and last names.

These writings frequently delve into the teachings of the apostles and the early church, among other things. But there are certain references to events in Jesus’ life, particularly his death, burial and resurrection (for example, 1 Corinthians 15:1–11), which are worth noting.

Extra-biblical Sources for Jesus

There are several non-biblical texts that make reference to Jesus’ life. These ancient writings provide additional evidence for the historical accuracy of the biblical sources:

  • Pliny the Elder (A.D. 61–113), Suetonius (A.D. 69–140), Lucian of Samosata (A.D. 115–200), Celsus (A.D. 175), Jewish Talmud (A.D. 400-700), The Toledat Yeshu (A.D. 1000)
  • Mara-Serapion (A.D. 70)
  • Mara-Sera

The “Lost” Years of Jesus

“The lost years of Jesus’ life occurred between the time when a 12-year-old Jesus met with religious authorities (Luke 2:42–52) and the time when a 30-year-old Jesus began his earthly mission (Luke 2:53). (Luke 3:23). There is no indication of what Jesus accomplished during those years in the book of Matthew. Many have attempted to fill in the gaps in the tale. Some have speculated that he traveled to the United Kingdom (twelfth century A.D.). It has been stated that he traveled to India in 1869, while others have said that he traveled to Tibet, Persia, Assyria, Greece, and Egypt (1908).

All early biblical and extra-biblical sources agree that the man Jesus existed exclusively in first-century Roman Palestine, and that he was crucified there.

Was Jesus Married?

No, Jesus did not get married when he was on the planet. Based on the Bible and early Christian literature, we have no basis to believe that he was married, and there are multiple grounds to conclude that he was not married based on those texts.

  • Jesus entrusted his mother to the care of the Apostle John—no mention of his wife is made (John 19:25–27)
  • Paul makes no reference of Jesus’ marriage when addressing Peter’s marriage (1 Corinthians 9:5)
  • And the Bible makes no mention of Jesus’ marriage at all. In contrast to any other woman, the church is referred to as “the bride of Christ” (Ephesians 5:23–32). Clement of Alexandria, an early bishop, confirmed Jesus’ singleness (The Stromata, III.6.49). Tertullian, another early Christian philosopher, referred to Jesus as “unmarried” in his On Monogamy, chapter 5.

Jesus’ Death: Did He Really Die?

Jesus passed away at the conclusion of his earthly teaching career. The death of Jesus is recounted in all four Gospels, as well as in several New Testament epistles and other ancient sources. As a result of his crimes, he was executed by crucifixion, a punishment reserved for the most serious of criminals under Roman law. The Romans were quite effective at assassinating individuals. On the crucifixion, some skeptics have proposed that Jesus just “swooned,” rather than dying as is often believed.

The main source materials do not support this notion in any way.

Did the Disciples Just Hide His Body?

Jesus died at the conclusion of his earthly teaching career. In all four Gospels, as well as several New Testament epistles and other ancient sources, Jesus’ death is portrayed. A cross was nailed to the ground in front of him, a penalty reserved for the most despicable of offenders according to Roman law. Assassinating individuals was a specialty of the Romans, who were extremely effective at it. On the crucifixion, some skeptics have maintained that Jesus only “swooned,” rather than dying as some have claimed.

The main source materials provide no support for this notion. No one has ever survived the first-century scourging with iron balls and bone fragments (scourging), which was followed by the Roman crucifixion on the cross.

Jesus’ Resurrection

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after he was laid in the tomb (Luke 24:6–7), according to the Bible. The resurrection of Jesus from the grave is mentioned in each of the four Gospel accounts. After a torturous execution, Jesus was raised from the dead and given a new, exalted body. The main difference between his new body and his former body was that he could appear in the middle of his disciples (John 20:19, 20:26). But it was comparable to his former body in that he was still able to eat fish (Luke 24:42–43), which was a good thing.

Liar, Lunatic, or Lord?

C.S. Lewis posits a trilemma in his book Mere Christianity, which has to do with the essence of Jesus. There are only three plausible options when it comes to making a decision regarding Jesus, as Lewis asked them to do. One of three things happened: he was lying, insane, or the Lord he claimed to be. It is my hope that this will prevent anyone from stating the very ridiculous thing that people often say about Jesus: “I’m willing to accept Jesus as a wonderful moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God.” That is the one thing we are not allowed to mention.

  1. He would either be a lunatic, on a par with the man who claims to be a poached egg, or he would be the Devil of Hell, depending on your point of view.
  2. Either this man was and continues to be the Son of God, or he is a lunatic or something far worse.
  3. You have a choice.
  4. That is not something he has left available to us.

Is Jesus God?

Yes, Jesus is God’s Son, as the saying goes. By virtue of the fact that Jesus has the titles, qualities, and authority of God; that he performs the acts of God; and that he is worshipped as God, he must be regarded as God (John 20:28). God exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. God is one God existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit Jesus’ divinity is also explicitly taught in Scripture on a number of different instances.

The author of Hebrews taught Jesus’ divinity (Hebrews 1:8), and the apostle Paul affirmed Jesus’ divinity as well (Romans 1:20).

(Titus 2:13). In John 1:1, however, the most dramatic confirmation of Jesus’ divinity is found, in which John declares that Jesus was God from the beginning of creation: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Conclusion: The Good News of Jesus

Finally, even though Jesus Christ was completely pure, he was subjected to death and God the Father’s rightful anger towards sinners on the cross in order to atone for mankind’s guilt. He died in order to meet the just demands of God’s righteousness and justice, which he received from his Father. Jesus was the most suitable sacrifice. He died on a crucifixion, but on the third day, he rose from the dead, victorious over death, allowing everyone who really believe in Him, repent of their sin, and place their reliance in Him (rather than in their own worth) to be reconciled to God and live for eternity with their Creator in His presence.

  1. Divination and spiritualism are condemned by Jehovah’s Witnesses in all of their manifestations.
  2. The misleading charge in this question is based on the Witnesses merely mentioning the Catholic translator J.
  3. The truth is that Greber’s translation had nothing to do with the translation of the NWT, and it was never even considered for consideration.
  4. It is a dishonest and hypocritical lie to assert that Witnesses were “involved” with Greber or spiritism in any way.
  5. As an example, Metzger’s The Text of the New Testament, published by the Bible Museum and Biblical Research Foundation, and Duthie’s How to Choose Your Bible Wisely are both Trinitarian academics who have relied on Johannes Greber as a source of support.

Yours, BAR Ron Rhoades’ ANERGES (Ron Rhoades) is taken from Jehovah’s Witnesses Defended, 2nd edition, Appendix C: The Watchtower and Johannes Greber, which is available on Amazon.

In the third installment of this series, we read: “It shouldn’t come as any surprise that a former Catholic priest, Johannes Greber, has converted to spiritualism and written a book on it titled ‘Communication with the Spirit World, Its Rules, and Its Purpose,’ which is available on Amazon.

In its Foreword, he makes the classic error of believing that the Bible is the most significant spiritualistic work since its primary contents are messages from the beyond to people who are currently living.” A few months later, The Watchtower published an article on some priests who are sympathetic to and supportive of spiritism.

  • When the day finally arrived for me to take my first step toward such contact, I was confronted with events that rocked me to the core of my being.
  • (Page 15, paragraphs 2 and 3) Greber’s translation is bound with a gold-leaf cross on the stiff front cover, in line with his Roman Catholic upbringing.
  • That is why, in response to the query, “Why, in recent years, has The Watchtower not made use of the translation by the former Catholic priest, Johannes Greber?” the Watchtower says, “The translation by the former Catholic priest, Johannes Greber” is not used.
  • He married a medium who worked for God’s Spiritworld, and his wife was often crucial in delivering the proper answers from God’s Messengers to Pastor Greber.
  • (See Deuteronomy 18:10-12 for more.) “When it was discovered in 1955 that Greber was a spiritist, it begged the question: why is Greber’s translation referenced with approbation in editions of The Watchtower between 1955 and 1983 for its interpretations of Matthew 27:52, 53, and John 1:1?
  • The Watchtower magazine has been an outspoken opponent of spiritism since its inception, and it continues to remain so.
  • Alternatively, it’s conceivable that some Watchtower authors felt Greber’s translation was the product of a spiritist who also happened to have an excellent understanding of ancient Greek grammar, rather being a spiritist himself.
  • In arguing that Greber, since he is a spiritist, is incapable of apprehending the original meaning of New Testament language, at least in certain situations, one is committing a logical error.
  • (17th verse) Indeed, Paul did not get tired of her until she continued to do so for “a number of days,” at which point he exorcised the demon from her body.
  • His realization that, even if she was true in her assertions, her contact with the spirit realm could no longer be accepted was without a doubt a relief.

It’s likely that in their case, those who cited Greber’s translation and others as evidence for what they believed to be an accurate translation of certain passages did so unaware of the specifics of Greber’s involvement with spiritism, despite the fact that other Watchtower writers were aware of and wrote about it.

  • Part 3 of 3.
  • On February 15, 1956, The Watchtower published an article titled “Triumphing about Wicked Spirit Forces,” which ran on pages 110 and 111.
  • Consider the following example: “Who is referred to as “The Word”?
  • The Watchtower Publications Index 1930-1985, as well as the Watchtower Publications Index 1986-1990, are excellent resources for confirming this point (Brooklyn: Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 1986, 1990).

Princeton Theological Seminary.

Oxford University Press, New York and Oxford, 1968, p.50, note 2, p.51.

The Watchtower was thus only using his translation to show that its translation in the NWT was not alone. Final points:

  • His translation was cited by even the famous Bible scholar Bruce Metzger
  • The Watchtower was just citing his translation to demonstrate that its translation in the NWT was not the only one
  • It was discovered after a review of the Watchtower staff’s notes that Greber claimed uncanny influence, and as a result, it was deemed unacceptable for the Watchtower to continue to make use of it, and Metzger set a terrible precedent by using his own translation
  • Greber claimed to be under the control of angels rather than devils. He was a farce, I believe (in actuality, I believe).

Trigger warnings that are quite evident. Trolls are where I’m going to start. I’m a big fan of the ReligionSpirituality part of Yahoo! Answers, and I’ve been a level 7 member there for quite some time, despite the fact that it’s subject to the same entropy as the section I’ve just described. The normal polarization of thought is there, with the two main groups being metaphysically naturalistic atheists and fundamentalist evangelical Protestants, who inadvertently agree on a historical-grammatical approach to Scripture, presumably because they are unaware of any other alternatives.

  • Some of them are difficult to fathom, but one recent apparent attempt at trolling has been to ask variants of the question posed at the beginning of this article: Is it possible that Jesus was raped?
  • Before I go any further, I should point out that most of what I’m about to say is a paraphrasing of study conducted by theologian David Tombs of the University of Otago, although it is also a personal reaction to which I’ve added more.
  • The common New Atheist claim that he didn’t is unfounded, and it is an example of an extreme attitude taken as a result of a lack of knowledge.
  • Many of them are themselves agnostic or atheist, and they have no personal grudge towards anyone.
  • I won’t go into detail about him because that isn’t what this is about.
  • Beyond this, things become more contentious, but imagine someone fitting that description had existed during that time period and that the allegations made above are accurate of him or her.

Moreover, I would like to emphasize that by concentrating on the question of his sexual assault, I do not intend to minimize any other suffering he or anyone else endured under the Romans or any other oppressive regime, but rather that I wish to draw attention to an aspect of his life that most people do not consider and seem to avoid discussing: his sexual assault.

  1. After that is out of the way, there are at least three major sources of evidence that Jesus was sexually raped, and I believe it is reasonable to define his assault as anal rape, which may have occurred several times throughout his lifetime.
  2. First and foremost, historical evidence reveals that the crucifixion included components other than those described in the gospels.
  3. It’s a disturbing photograph of a real-life occurrence.
  4. The fact is that people did hang and suffer like this, and died from a combination of heatstroke, dehydration, suffocation, and suspension syndrome – look them up if you want but this is not a medical post.
  5. Would there have been a loincloth if there had been?
  6. Why would they have done something like that?
  7. No, I don’t believe so.
  8. This robe must be torn from Jesus’ body, exactly as Matthew claims the temple curtain was cut in two at the moment of his death; doing so highlights the absolute nothingness to which the Romans were reducing him.

To my knowledge, the hijab in Islam for men consists of covering the waist from the navel to the knees at a minimum, and since religious Jews, Christian Christians, and Muslims are all people of the book, it appears very likely that something along those lines would’ve been enforced by the Pharisees during Jesus’ time on the earth.

  1. It is quite likely to be in violation of Jewish religious regulations.
  2. An aspect of the motive for the crucifixion of Jews was an insult, and maybe an act of blasphemy, directed at Christ.
  3. The fact that creative representations of the crucifixion, as far as I am aware, usually commit this mistake is also noteworthy, as it indicates that it is difficult for them to confront the likely actuality of his nakedness and vulnerability in this regard.
  4. Despite the fact that Josephus was writing for a Roman audience and was unlikely to depict the Jews in a sympathetic light, these types of torture were common in the ancient world and may be assumed to have occurred in other situations even if they did not occur in the one he recounted.

Furthermore, the Romans were known for arranging the bodies of their victims in “amusing” poses on the cross, and if Jesus hadn’t been castrated by that point, it isn’t a stretch of the imagination to believe that his genitals might have been nailed to the cross as well, given that his limbs had been nailed to the cross.

While you may entirely exclude the possibility of sexual humiliation being used as a tool of force during the crucifixion itself, you can still think the soldiers gang-raped him anally during the execution.

It is at this point that I turn to the gospels themselves.

However, given that the New Testament is normally rather careful about these matters, and only refers to them elliptically if at all, this isn’t unexpected.

If you’re concerned about inaccuracy or mythologising at this stage, keep in mind that the myth you might believe this to be is nonetheless significant and helpful to many people.

A sexual component to all of this is very plausible at this point.

crucifixions were carried out in order to « encourage les autres », as Voltaire put it, meaning that if the penalty is harsh enough, it becomes easier to submit a population to the punishment.

That a dictatorship like Rome would exercise its control over its conquered peoples by putting them to sexual servitude is completely plausible; after all, this was something that happened on a regular basis during wartime and continues to do today in that context.

Today, sexual assault and various forms of anal rape against males are common in these contexts; nevertheless, this practice has been documented throughout recorded history.

Okay, so while I am very certain that this did occur, the issue comes as to why it is necessary to draw attention to it at this point.

As a Christian, Jesus is the person who serves as a positive example to me since he was able to avoid wrongdoing and selfishness in every scenario in which he found himself.

Also, he is not a distinct individual from the rest of us.

This is not the type of monarch Jesus is known to have been.

Because of his incarnation, Jesus has literally spent a lifetime walking in our shoes, and that applies to every single one of us.

Despite the fact that it is understandable, the current apprehension about disclosing this information is consistent with the way these sexual sins were concealed in the past when they were committed against Jesus.

Exactly this is the type of king that Jesus is.

Yes, it is uncomfortable to claim that, in addition to all the other agony he had, Jesus was definitely raped, but it is beneficial because it implies that Christ is with us in this and that there is no place he will not go to walk by us in our journey.

To consider the possibility that spirituality is only about comfort is a tough and disconcerting concept, but is it really worth having at all if it is merely about comfort?
