Trigger warnings that are quite evident. Trolls are where I’m going to start. I’m a big fan of the ReligionSpirituality part of Yahoo! The normal polarization of thought is there, with the two main groups being metaphysically naturalistic atheists and fundamentalist evangelical Protestants, who inadvertently agree on a historical-grammatical approach to Scripture, presumably because they are unaware of any other alternatives.

Yes, it is uncomfortable to claim that, in addition to all the other agony he had, Jesus was definitely raped, but it is beneficial because it implies that Christ is with us in this and that there is no place he will not go to walk by us in our journey.

To consider the possibility that spirituality is only about comfort is a tough and disconcerting concept, but is it really worth having at all if it is merely about comfort?
