When the blind Bartimaeus called out to the Lord, the entire congregation responded: “Heal us, heal us today!” As the leader said: “His faith healed him, and his sight was restored.” All: *Lord Jesus, please heal us!

“When Jesus the Healer was passing through Galilee,” says the Bible. Peter D. Smith is a professor of English at the University of California, Los Angeles. Hymn 263 from the United Methodist Hymnal. “Heal us, heal us now!” cried out the crowds as Jesus the Healer went through Galilee.
