When God sent His Son to the world in human form, He had a variety of reasons for doing so, and He reveals many of those reasons with us in the Bible. 1. To Do the Will of the Father

2. To Save Sinners

“That Christ Jesus came into the world to redeem sinners, among whom I am foremost, is a saying that is trustworthy and deserving of complete acceptance.” 1 Timothy 1:15″because if that were the case, he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the beginning of time.” However, as things stand, he has appeared once and for all at the end of the centuries to atone for sin by offering himself as a sacrifice.” 9:26 (Hebrews 9:26)

3. To Bring Light to a Dark World

They do not teach that Jesus was a judge of sin and sinners, as some claim.

Throughout the month of December, you may hear Christians discussing the significance of the holiday season. The majority of people in our society would agree that the purpose of Christmas is to share love. The majority of Christians would claim it is to commemorate the birth of Jesus. But why is this so? What was the reason for Jesus’ birth? What was His purpose in coming to earth? What did He want to achieve? There are really quite a number Bible texts that speak to the reason why Jesus came, including the following: 5:17 (Matthew 5:17) It is important not to believe that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill” (Matthew 5:17).

Mark 1:38 is a biblical passage.
In response to their question, Jesus explained that people who are healthy require a physician, rather than the sick.
Mark 10:45 a.m.
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only born Son, that whomever believes in Him will not perish, but shall have everlasting life.
“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world.” “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me,” says Jesus in John 6:38.

Study 6 FIVE REASONS WHY JESUS CAME

The cause for the season is discussed by Christians during the month of December. We would all agree that the purpose of Christmas is to spread love among people. Christians might claim it is to commemorate the birth of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But why is this so important? The reason for Jesus’ birth is not well understood by most people. His purpose for visiting the earth is unclear. Is it possible that He had a goal? Although there are other Bible scriptures that speak to the reason Jesus came, the following are the most significant.

Matthew 10:34 is a verse in the Bible that states that The Prophet says, “Do not believe that I have come to bring peace to the globe; I have not come to deliver peace, but a sword.” In Mark 1:38, the apostle Paul says, “Let us travel somewhere else, to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there as well; after all, that is what I came for,” he urged to the group.

In response to their question, Jesus explained that people who are healthy require a physician, rather than the sick, and that he had not come to summon the righteous, but sinners.
1 John 3:16 (John 3:16 is the foundational verse of the Christian faith).
“For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world.” I have come down from heaven, not to fulfill my own will, but the will of Him who sent Me, as John 6:38 says.

Paul writes in Galatians 4:4-5 that Then, when the fullness of time had come, God sent out His Son, who was born of a woman and under the Law, in order to redeem those who were under the Law and to grant us the adoption as sons.

His arrival was historically verified. The historical narrative of the Saviour’s birth and life may be found in the four Gospels as well as the Letters to the Hebrews. 1. 1 JOHN 3:5 - He came to be our Sin-bearer.

2. 1 JOHN 3:8 - He came to destroy the works of the Devil.

“The purpose of the Son of God appearing was to demolish the devil’s work,” the text states. In the history of the human race, Satan has been the motivator of all sin and suffering that has occurred; every disease, heartache, murder, and war have occurred as a result of his existence on our planet. However, Jesus came to defeat Satan and to return to us everything that we had lost as a result of his wicked deeds, and He accomplished this via His death on the cross of Calvary. There, once and for all, Satan was defeated – see Hebrews 2:14 and Revelation 20:10 for more information.

This is beautifully illustrated in John 10:10, which is one of the most important Bible verses.
What an honor it is to be on the side of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Look up Matthew 12:30 in the Bible.
As well as assaulting and blaming God’s children, he is also a vanquished adversary, which is a blessing!

3. 1 JOHN 4:9 - He came to give us Eternal Life.

“This is how he demonstrated his love for us: He sent his one and only Son into the world so that we may live through Him,” the text says. Jesus came to offer us eternal life, and he has done so. This was our greatest need since the advent of sin had inflicted death onto the entire human race, spiritual death, which is separation from God – see Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1; and John 5:40 for more information. As a result of our spiritual death, God, who loves us, sent his one and only Son into the world in order that we could have eternal life.

How did we come to have this life? Look it up in 1 John 5:11-12 and understand what I mean. What is your belief on your own everlasting life and whether or not you have crossed the threshold from death to life? Look up John 5:24 in your Bible.

4. 1 JOHN 4:10 - He came to be the Atoning Sacrifice for our sins.

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins,” the passage says. Essentially, these words are stating that the Lord Jesus not only came to take away our sins, but that in doing so, He completely vindicated God’s holy and righteous character, as well as satisfying all the demands of His holiness and justice, thereby enabling God, in His mercy, to extend forgiveness to the guilty. Take a look at Psalm 7:11 to see how God is rightfully enraged by our sins.

Sin must be dealt with harshly.

As a result, we may join the psalmist in saying, “Look up Psalm 103:10.” Due to the fact that we place our faith in Jesus Christ, we are completely safe and secure in our relationships with one another and with God.

5. 1 JOHN 4:14 - He came to be the Saviour of the World.

“And we have seen and testified that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world,” the text states. This is the triumphant note on which we bring our study to a close. Jesus is the Saviour of the world, and the act of redemption that He did on the cross is sufficient for all people, everywhere on the face of the earth. Christ is the one Saviour who saves everyone everywhere. In fact, the message spoken to the shepherds on the first Christmas Day is still valid today – just look at Luke 2:10-11 and John 4:39-42 for proof.

No, it simply implies that salvation is offered and provided for everyone – but only if they choose to embrace it.

He is fully capable of saving everyone who comes to Him – see Hebrews 7:25; nevertheless, in order to be saved, we must call upon and place our faith in Him as our personal Saviour – see Romans 10:13.

Why Did Jesus Come into the World? [All 12 Reasons]

If Jesus was God, why did he come to the planet in the first place, you might wonder. A critical question has been raised. Jesus, to his credit, responded to this question in 12 distinct ways throughout the Gospels. Here is a comprehensive list of every reason Jesus offered for coming into the world. For anyone interested in reading the passage in context, links to the relevant scriptural passages are provided.

There are twelve reasons why Jesus came to earth.

1) Jesus came to fulfill the law.

5:17 (Matthew 5:17) It is incorrect to believe that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to eliminate them, but to bring them to fruition.

2) Jesus came to divide.

Luke 12:51 (NIV) Do you believe that I have come to bring peace to the world? No, I tell you, but rather a divide of the people. 10:34 (Matthew 10:34) Do not imagine that I have come to bring peace to the world. Quite the contrary. I have not come to bring peace, but rather a sword to the table.

3) Jesus came to call sinners.

Mark 2:17 is a passage from the Bible that explains how to be a Christian.

Those who are healthy do not require the services of a physician, but those who are ill do. I didn’t come to summon the virtuous, but sinners instead. Luke 5:32 (NIV) I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance, as some have claimed.

4) Jesus came to serve and give his life.

Mark 10:45 a.m. After all, even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and he gave his life as a ransom for the sins of the world.

5) Jesus came to proclaim good news.

Luke 4:18-19 is a passage from the Bible that teaches about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. “There is a presence of the Lord upon me, for he has anointed me to bring good news to the needy. To announce release to the prisoners and sight restoration for the blind, as well as to set free those who are afflicted, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,” I was sent by the Lord.

6) Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

Luke 19:10 (KJV) Because the Son of Man came to seek and to rescue those who had gone astray.

7) Jesus came that the world might be saved.

3:17 (John 3:17) In other words, God did not bring his Son into the world in order to condemn the world, but in order that the world may be rescued by him and his sacrifice.

8) Jesus came to do his Father’s will to keep, save, and resurrect believers.

6:38-40 (John 6:38-40) In fact, I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but to execute the will of the one who has sent me down. The will of him who sent me is that I should lose nothing of what he has given me, but that I should raise it all up on the final day, and this is his desire as well. In order to fulfill the will of my Father, I will raise him up on the last day in order that everyone who looks at the Son and believes in him may have everlasting life.

9) Jesus came for judgment.

9:39 in the Gospel of John In the words of Jesus, “I came into this world for judgment, so those who do not see could become blind, and those who see might become blind.”

10) Jesus came to give abundant life.

10:10 (John 10:10) The thief is just interested in stealing, killing, and destroying. I come so that they could have life, and that they might have it abundantly.

11) Jesus came so believers may not remain in darkness.

12:46 (John 12:46) I have come into the world in the form of light so that whomever believes in me will not be kept in the darkness.

12) Jesus came to bear witness to the truth.

18:37 (John 18:37) Then Pilate asked him, “So you’re a king?” he said. “You say that I am a king,” Jesus said. “You are correct. This is the reason I was born, and this is the reason I have come into the world: to give testimony to the reality of the situation. “My voice is heard by everyone who believes in the truth.”

Jesus Came to Destroy Something

They are the individuals who know and believe that there is something in them that has to be destroyed, and they are the ones who will be able to fully enjoy the true meaning of Christmas on Tuesday. “God sent the Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that through him the world could be saved,” as John stated in John 3:17, and it is true.

However, he saves the day by destroying everything. Like a doctor who amputates a foot that has become infected with gangrene or removes a malignant lung.

Jesus Came to Destroy Something

When asked about the necessity for a physician, Jesus responded: “Those in good health have no need of one, but those who are sick need; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners” (Mark 2:17). The only people who understand Christmas and accept it for what it is are those who are ill and who badly want their illness to be eradicated or at least reduced to ashes. You will not be able to receive Jesus as a Savior unless you first accept him as a destroyer in your life. 1 John 3:8 states that “the reason the Son of God come was to demolish the works of the devil.” This is the focus of this morning’s lecture.

Three Questions About the Christmas Mission

In respect to our Christmas mission, there are three questions that I would want to attempt to address.

What was it that the Son of God came to do away with? What method did he use to demolish it? Is it possible for us to directly contribute to his victory?

1. What Did the Son of God Come to Destroy?

According to 1 John 3:8, Jesus was sent to demolish “the works of the devil.” What exactly are the devil’s creations? Let’s work out in concentric rings around the word “works of the devil” found in 1 John 3:8 to see how effective it is. The closest concentric circle is formed by the sentence before it in verse 8a and the sentence following it in 1 John 3:9, respectively. According to verse 8a, “He who commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning of creation.” Afterwards, according to our reading, the Son of God came to demolish the works of the wicked one.

First and foremost, John claims that the devil sins and that all who sin are his.
And secondly, he continues, no one who is born of God is capable of committing sin.
There’s no doubt that the word “therefore” should be placed at the beginning of 1 John 3:9.
As a result, no one who has been born of God can be guilty of sin.” When individuals commit sin, it is because the devil has influenced them to do so.
When they commit sin, he has completed his task.
The Son of God came into the world to put an end to sin.
The fatal infection that has swept over the Appalachian community is sin.

On the Western Front, the enemy to be defeated is the sinful nature of mankind. Christmas represents God’s invasion of enemy land in order to save a people from the devil and remove the sin that has infected their minds and lives.

Sin Is Lawlessness

Consider adding another concentric circle to our text and attempting to characterize the “works of the devil” with greater specificity this time. What exactly is sin? 1 John 3:4 (NIV): “Everyone who sins is a lawbreaker, and this includes those who practice religion. Sin is the absence of the rule of law.” The law in John’s understanding at this point is not the United States Constitution. It is God’s commandment. It is the manifestation of God’s revealed will for all of his created beings. Living as though your own beliefs are greater to God’s is what it means to be lawless.

My conflicting wants take the place of God’s law in the absence of lawlessness.
Lawlessness is a form of rebellion against God’s authority to establish rules and manage his creation.
Aresin is one of the “devil’s handiwork.” Sin is the absence of law.
The purpose of Satan’s job is to entice us to reject God’s rule and to strive to become as perfect as God.
This is lawlessness; this is the essence of sin; and this is what the Son of God came to destroy in you and me when he came into the world.

2. How Did He Destroy It?

The text provides two possible responses, and we must determine how these two are connected to one another. There are two possible responses— His Appearance and the Beginning of a New Life First and foremost, according to 1 John 3:8, the Son of God manifested in order to demolish the works of the devil. In other words, Christ removes sin by appearing — that is, by coming from heaven and taking on the shape of a human being — and becoming man. It’s likely that John is thinking of more than simply the physical presence of the Son of God, but also everything that he accomplished by living, dying, and rising from the grave.

The second response is found in 1 John 3:9.
As a result, there are two ways in which the devil’s efforts are destroyed in this chapter.
What is the relationship between these two items?
It is not enough for Jesus to have arrived, died, and risen from the dead.
If this is not done, the devil’s works will not be destroyed.
It is also not conceivable for God to simply force individuals to be born afresh without the arrival of the Son of God.
So we wonder, what is the connection between these two?

God’s nature (or more accurately, God’s seed) abides in him, and he cannot sin as a result of his being born of God, according to 1 John 3:9.

Now, anyone who desires to sin can do so.

It’s similar to a birth in that something completely new has come into being.

Jeremiah refers to it as a “new heart” (Jeremiah 24:7).

Being born of God entails being transformed by God in such a way that the reign of sin is overthrown.

Something of the father is present in the child, which causes him to resemble his father.

Is There a Reason Why John Isn’t Teaching Sinless Perfection?

However, there are a number of reasons why we know he isn’t.

“No one born of God is content to continue sinning because God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot be content to continue sinning because he is born of God.” The most obvious reason (even if you don’t know Greek) that we know John isn’t teaching sinless perfection is what he says in 1 John 1:8 and 1 John 1:10, “No one born of God is content to continue sinning because God’s seed abides in him,” and ” According to the Bible, “If we declare that we have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

If we pretend we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar, and his word is not in us.
Walking in the Light is what the Christian life is all about.
What word would you use to describe it?
The Bible says, “If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” Walking in the light will enable you to be cleansed from all of your sins by the blood of Jesus.
According to 1 John 3:7, if you walk in the light, the sins that you do are cleansed—forgiven, wiped away, and blotted out—by the blood of Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins.
1 John 3:9is a clear parallel to 1 John 3:7, and it teaches exactly what the verse says.
“A person who walks in the light admits his or her sins.

He despises sin, he is sorry for sin, he repents of sin, and he turns and runs from recognized sin.

Walking in the light entails having your eyes enlightened to the truth about God, sin, and the Savior, Jesus Christ.

The monster may have a warm, hairy coat that appears beautiful in the dark, but the knight’s armor may appear frigid and threatening under the same lighting conditions.

Despite popular belief, sin does not die when the lights are turned on.

Because you see things the way God sees them, and you despise them, you confess them, and you battle against them.

Because of the blood of Jesus, we are cleansed from all sin as long as we remain in that frame of mind (in the light).

And with that, Christmas has been fulfilled.

I battle by focusing on a promise from God, which helps me to stay focused.

This past week, I was dejected and could hardly get myself out of bed on one particular morning.

The prospect that the printer could show up today made me quite thrilled all of a sudden.

I imagine that was similar to how a child feels the day before a summer vacation.

“Thy eyes witnessed my unformed nature; in thy book was recorded every one of them; the days that were formed for me while there were none of them,” I read in Psalms 139 as I headed to my chamber to pray.

And he has pledged to work with me to make everything work out for my benefit.

He orchestrates every detail of my days for my benefit and delight.

Encouragement in the run-up to Christmas As a result, my Christmas message to you is that the Son of God appeared to demolish the works of the devil, including our sins, lawlessness, and rebellion.
