Austin LifeCare Is Going to Jail!

by Shawn Osmond, Proven Way Member Austin LifeCare to jail, and it's good news!

For the past 7 months, I, Shawn Osmond, have had the privilege of working with the incarcerated women of TCCC through Redeemed Ministries.  Our team helps prepare incarcerated women with practical life skills they will need once released.  We also share the love of Jesus Christ while addressing the heart issues that so many of them are dealing with like addiction, avoiding toxic relationships, and how to set healthy boundaries.

Now AustinLife Care is collaborating with Redeemed Ministres to bring additional hope and healing to inmates through Forgiven and Set Free, a Bible study for post abortive women!   Forgiven and Set Free helps women who have suffered emotionally and spiritually from their past abortions learn to accept the forgiveness of Jesus Christ and walk in the freedom of knowing that the cross is big enough for all sin -- even the sin of abortion!   Pam Flynn, Director of Life Change Bible studies for the last 17 years and I will both facilitate Forgiven and Set Free beginning at the end of May.  I am so excited to be working with my friend Pam and to see how God has brought a much-needed resource into an area that so desperately needs the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Austin LifeCare has been serving Austin for over 30 years with the goal of meeting the needs of women, men and their families, who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. All services are provided free of charge.  Among the services provided by Austin LifeCare are pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound services, childbirth and parenting classes, as well as Bible studies for men and women who are suffering from past abortions, sexual abuse or miscarriage.  More information can be found at

Redeemed Ministries is seeking to empower individuals, churches, and communities to seek changes at all levels of society through awareness of the realities of sex trafficking and engage the church in its mission to work with the least of these. This includes our sisters in the Travis County Correctional Complex.  More about this incredible organization can be found at

We need your prayers, but more importantly, we are always looking for motivated volunteers!  You can contact Pam Flynn directly at (512) 279-9407 or at  You can also reach me, Shawn Osmond, at (512) 934-2544 or at
