Those Who Pierced Him
According to Revelation 1:7, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, including those who wounded Him; and all the tribes of the earth will grieve because of Him. The texts that are quoted are two prophecies, the first of which is from Daniel and the second from Zechariah, respectively.

Daniel 7:13 (NIV) – I kept watching in the night visions, and lo and behold, with the clouds of heaven came One who looked like the Son of Man, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented to Him. I couldn’t stop staring. It is important to note that the Son of Man was seen coming or going to the Ancient of Days, rather than to the world. It is possible to translate the term ‘coming’ (erchomai, Strong’s ref 2064) as’moving’ or ’emerging’ (as in to appear before someone or come before the public).
In order to receive sovereignty, glory, and a kingdom in which all nations would be subservient to Him, He traveled to His Father’s house in Bethlehem (Daniel 7:14).
Jesus was ‘coming’ in the sense that He would emerge in the sky as a symbol of His receiving the kingdom, and would thus be ‘coming’ with tremendous might and glory to judge the world from an earthly perspective.
There is no need to insist that Jesus’ second coming included His putting a foot on the ground, as He did previously.

If you pay attention to the usage of the phrase “on that day,” it is evident that the following prophecy comes true on the same day (which in this case does not refer to a 24-hour period, but rather to a period of time): “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the man, My Associate,” exclaims the Lord of hosts in Zechariah 13:7.
- As a result, the striking of the Shepherd occurred on the same day, or at the same time, as the judgment against Jerusalem outlined in Zechariah 12-13, which included the event during which ‘they’ would look on Him whom they had pierced (Zechariah 13:1).

So, how would all of the tribes of the globe express their grief over His death? Return to Zechariah’s house.
