Since starting to actually read my Bible, I have learnt a great deal. Unfortunately, there are many phony churches and individuals that are as I was, which is painful to witness. They are really mistaken, and they are not complying or following the commands of Jesus or his apostles. God does expect his followers to fulfill his commandments (John 14:15; 1 John 2:3–4), the most important of which is to love him and to love others (the greatest commandment) (Galatians 5:14; James 2:8). As stated in the Bible, those who do not follow his commands or who are unloving towards others do not know Jesus (1 John 3:6; 1 John 4:8).

Reading his word (the Holy Bible) is the best way to find out for yourself. This is how you will become acquainted with him (Romans 10:17). It was through reading God’s word that I fell in love with him, and it is the most romantic narrative ever written.

The Bible Clearly Tells Us How to Be Saved

As you read, I believe you will be startled to learn exactly how incorrect the religious world can be, and, unfortunately, how many people actually do not know Jesus and are teaching and preaching false doctrines and doctrines contrary to the Bible. The Bible cautions against a second Jesus as well as false instructors (2 Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:6-7; 2 Corinthians 11:13; 2 Peter 2; 1 John 4:1; Matthew 7:15). They are described as “ravenous wolves” by Jesus in his warning, and we shall recognize them by the fruit of their deeds, which will be revealed in the future (their actions).

There will be MANY who have believed they were following Jesus on the very last day of this earth, when everything is destroyed, when he returns to judge the world righteously, and when he takes his followers with him to be with him for eternity.
They did not follow his instructions or observe his commands.
So I’m writing this letter to you for a lot of different reasons.
Second, I care deeply about your soul and want you to be rescued as well.

Why do I need to be saved?

So here’s how it works. Jesus Christ, God’s righteous judge, will judge the entire world on the final day through the eyes of his Son, God the Son (Acts 17:31). Every everyone who has ever walked this world will come before God one day, and we shall be evaluated according to our deeds, as well as by the words and teachings of Jesus, and we will be rewarded or punished accordingly (2 Corinthians 5:11; John 12:48). God has provided us with his law (his commandments). I believe God has set a standard for us that we must live up to; but, we have all fallen short of that ideal and broken his law out of our own free will (Romans 3:23).

Everyone who has ever lived will spend forever in one of two places: either hell or paradise.
Furthermore, God want to establish a connection with us, but our sin keeps us from having that relationship.
Our sin results in death, which is the punishment for our sin (Romans 6:23).
It is necessary for him to punish us for breaching the law if he is a just judge.
God is just, yet he does not wish to punish us for our disobedience in the first place (Romans 3:26).

He longs to be merciful and for us to come to know who he is (Hosea 6:6; Matthew 12:7). As a result, he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us and pay the penalty for our sins, so enabling us to be rescued from their consequences!

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the son of God. Despite the fact that he is eternal and has previously lived in paradise, Jesus chose to leave the pleasures of heaven and come to earth. He took on a human body for our sakes (Philippians 2), lived a completely sinless life, went through all of the emotions and trials that we as humans go through, and then died an incredibly agonizing death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins on our behalf. He gave his life in our place. Then, on the third day, Jesus was resurrected from the grave and ascended back to heaven, where he died.

God the Father has placed Jesus at his right hand, where he is presently ruling over his church (the body of rescued believers), and he is waiting for the day when he will return to judge the world (Acts 2:30-35).

How can I be saved by God? What are the steps to be saved?

It is necessary for us to embrace the redemption made available by Christ in order to gain forgiveness of our sins and, consequently, eternal life through him. Following the instructions provided in the Bible, there are six stages we must perform in order to achieve this salvation.

1. Hear

First and foremost, we must hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, “faith comes through hearing, and hearing comes via the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). One can not qualify as a Christian just because his parents are Christians. Faith is not something that can be passed down through generations (Ezekiel 18:20). Each individual must come to faith in Jesus Christ for himself or herself. Christianity is built on a foundation of sound doctrine (Matthew 28:19-20). One cannot be saved until he has heard the Gospel and understood that Jesus Christ died for his sins, was buried, and was raised from the grave on the third day, according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

And how are they supposed to believe in Him of whom they have not heard anything?

2. Believe

Second, one must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that he died and rose again (Matthew 16:16). “.if you do not accept that I am He, you will perish in your sins,” Jesus stated emphatically (John 8:24). “Sirs, what do you think I should do to be saved?” the jailor at Philippi inquired of Paul and Silas. When he asked what they said, they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your household will be saved” (Acts 16:30-31). “He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned,” Jesus also warned (Mark 16:16).

Faith can only be gained via hearing God’s Word (Romans 10:17).

Hebrews 11:6 further informs us that we cannot please God unless we believe.

3. Repent

Third, in order to be saved, one must repent of his or her sins (Acts 17:30-31). “Repentance and forgiveness of sins should be taught in His name to all nations, beginning with Jerusalem,” Jesus stated in the Sermon on the Mount (Luke 24:47). A person’s repentance is the outcome of feeling sad for his or her sins (2 Corinthians 7:10). They were “cut to the heart” when they discovered, through Peter, that they had crucified the Son of God on Pentecost Day (Acts 2:37). It was because they want to be pardoned of their faults that they inquired, “What must we do?” Their instructions were as follows: “Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” (See Acts 2:37-38.) When someone repents, he or she is turning away from their misdeeds (1 Thessalonians 1:9).

4. Confess

Fourth, one must admit that Jesus Christ is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that one believes in him (Matthew 16:16). In fact, this tremendous truth serves as the basic basis upon which the church of Christ is constructed (Matthew 16:18; Acts 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 3:11). According to Jesus, if we want Him to confess us to the Father, we must be prepared to confess Him to others as well as to ourselves (Matthew 10:32-33). “However, what does it say?” the apostle Paul inquired. In other words, the word of faith that we teach is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart: that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Matthew 16:16).

“I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God,” the eunuch admitted after that moment (Acts 8:35-38).

5. Be Baptized

Fifth, in order to be saved, one must be immersed in water. The words of Jesus were, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved” (Mark 16:16). Please keep in mind that baptism comes after believing. A person who does not believe in the Gospel cannot be authentically baptized in the Christian faith. As a result, babies cannot be baptized because they are too young to (1) have sin, (2) hear the Gospel, (3) repent of sins, and (4) confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. When people inquired about what they should do to be saved on Pentecost Day, Peter responded by telling them to “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized.” (See Acts 2:38.) A person who has not sincerely repented will not be able to be truly baptized.
The term “immerse” comes from the Greek language and implies “to entirely submerge” under water.
As a result, sprinkling and pouring do not constitute true baptism.
According to the beliefs of several faiths, one is not saved until he is baptized.

6. Remain faithful to God

Any person who is willing to come to Christ and humbly subject himself to His terms and laws has the potential to be and will be saved, according to the Bible’s teaching. However, becoming a Christian entails much more than simply being redeemed from one’s sins. A Christian’s growth as a result of his or her obedience to Jesus (Hebrews 5:9), abiding in his or her teachings, and keeping his or her commandments must be maintained (2 Peter 3:16-18). (John 15:6; 2 John 1:9; Matthew 7:21-27). All of your days must be spent being faithful to God, no matter how difficult the situation appears to be.

By Grace

The most significant feature of salvation is described in the first section of Ephesians 2:8, which declares that we are saved “through grace.” This is the most crucial aspect of salvation. The word grace has a variety of connotations, but when it comes to salvation, it refers to compassion shown to someone who does not deserve to be saved. To put it another way, grace bestows favor on people who do not deserve such favor. In the realm of grace, the question is not whether or not a person deserves favor or blessing, but rather whether or not he has been determined to be eligible for such favor.

Romans 3:24 states that Christians “are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that has come through Christ Jesus,” which means that they are not required to pay anything.

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s generosity that he bestowed upon us with all knowledge and understanding,” the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 1:7-8.

Every event in which grace is stated is wholly attributable to God’s favor, not to the efforts of the individual.

Through Faith

Grace, according to Ephesians 2:8, is obtained by those who place their trust in Jesus Christ and obey him. This, however, raises a very practical concern about what is meant by faith in the first place. The fact that there are many people in the church today who have made some sort of outward confession of faith in Christ but have never been born again and exhibit no signs of salvation should be self-evident to anybody who pays close attention to the church. So, how does one determine whether or not he has placed his faith in Christ or not?

Convicting Work of the Holy Spirit

True faith in Christ is preceded by the work of the Spirit, as Jesus Himself describes in John 16:7-11: “True faith comes before works, and works come before faith.” It is for your own benefit that I am departing, though, and I tell you the truth about it. If I do not go, the Counselor will not come to you; however, if I do leave, I will dispatch him to you. At his return, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men have refused to believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I have gone to the Father, where you will no longer be able to see me; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.

He must also confront the reality that God is just and that He is the one who judges sin.
It is important for an unsaved person to understand that, while he is a sinner in the same way that all men are sinners, this is just a portion of his or her condemnation before God.
As a result, he must recognize that redemption is only possible via faith.
The Scriptures disclose numerous types of righteousness, such as the false righteousness of human deeds, among other things.
“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all of our good actions have become like filthy rags,” according to Isaiah 64:6.
Judgement may also be characterized as referring to the fact that sin was judged when Christ died on the cross, and Satan was convicted and is now waiting for God’s judgment to be carried out on his behalf.

(1) A person seeking salvation must understand the nature of sin in contrast to God’s righteousness, (2) that God provides a righteousness that is not earned or deserved, and (3) that God has judged sin in Christ on the cross, including the condemnation of Satan, are the three aspects of the Spirit convicting the unsaved of their need for salvation.

As we come to believe in Christ and are saved, Christ takes on the role of our sin-bearer for us. Jesus Christ, in the words of John the Baptist, is the “Lamb of God, who wipes away the sin of the world!” (See also John 1:29).

Salvation is from the Lord

Consideration of all the facts concerning salvation and the preparatory work of the Holy Spirit before one can be saved reveals that simply assenting to the fact of the gospel and mentally believing that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world does not result in salvation and is therefore not truly what can be referred to as “saving faith.” It is also vital to recognize that faith must be derived from the full individual, that is, from his brain, sensibility, and will, while considering the nature of faith.

It is necessary to have some mental comprehension of what the gospel is in order to be saved, and the sinner who comes to Christ should realize that it takes more than just agreement to be saved; it takes an act of the complete person to receive salvation.

While the English term believe comes close to expressing what is predicted in the Bible, the word trust, or devoting oneself to faith in Christ, is a more appropriate expression.

However, as long as a person remains outside of the elevator, his belief that the elevator is in good working order and would transport him to the top floor of the building is of no use to him; therefore, his belief that the elevator would transport him to the top floor of the building serves no purpose.

In the same way, trusting in Christ entails more than just expressing agreement with what has been spoken.
In addition, because a person is spiritually dead, God must do a work in order to lead him to Christ.
As a result, according to Scripture, faith in Christ is an act involving the entire person.
This is what the Bible refers to as “saving faith,” according to the text.
However, the Scriptures make it clear that it is not faith plus works, but rather faith that results in works that results in an individual’s salvation.
As a result, on the divine side, there must be an activity of God in bringing the sinner to Himself; there must be a convicting work of the Spirit; and then the individual, enabled by God, must react by placing his or her confidence in Christ as his or her Savior by an act of volition.

Not by Works

Some have felt it essential to add conditions to the basic need of faith for salvation in order to distinguish real faith from simply assent in an effort to distinguish true faith from mere assent. In order to achieve this purpose, they have mandated that anybody desiring salvation acknowledge the lordship of Christ and make a commitment to serve the Lord from that point forward. This has been established as a precondition for faith. This viewpoint is challenged by Scripture, which teaches that works follow faith rather than preceding it.

The Bible states in Ephesians 2:8-10 that salvation is not by works, but that salvation produces works; and when a person becomes a new creature in Christ, he or she is able to do things that are pleasing to God in both time and eternity.
Nor should one require works as a condition for salvation or as a requirement for faith before faith is exercised.

What must I do to be saved?

He must be prepared to pray the one and only prayer that a sinner may pray and hope to be heard: the sinner’s prayer. “God, be compassionate to me, a sinner,” says the speaker (Luke 18:13). A man must acknowledge the existence of a God, the fact that he has sinned against God, and the fact that God is the Moral Governor of the universe. He must recognize that God is forgiving, that man has no worth of his own, and that he must put his faith in God’s mercy in order to be saved.

Who saves me from my sin?

However, someone must pay the sinner’s obligation before the Divine law, for he is weak and impotent to pay it himself, and thus someone else must do it. “”Death is the penalty for sin” (Romans 6:23). Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died on the cross in the place of the sinner. God has accepted the sacrifice made by His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, on our behalf, and we are grateful. As a result, the only thing that remains is for us, as free moral agents, to confess our sins and place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.

The issue is, does God realize how difficult it is? Is it possible for God to assist me? Is it possible for God to provide me victory? Is God aware of how difficult it is for me to sever my relationship with sin? He’s well aware of the situation! There are thousands of people who have been delivered by him who were in a worse position than you are in.

God has the ability to do anything. You should not be concerned about His power to save you. You must decide whether you would surrender to Him in the name of Jesus Christ and ask Him to set you free. That is the key question. Are you willing to let go and allow God to work in your life?

Pray to God

If that’s the case, would you just lower your head right now and pray with me the following prayer—pray it from the bottom of your heart: “O God, I submit.” Please forgive me of my sins in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Make me into the person I should be. You may have my life—everything I have—and utilize me in Your noble service. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen! Privately, alone with God, bow down and confess your sins to Him, speaking out to Him as if you were a small child, and believe that He has forgiven you of your crimes.

Have you made a public confession of your sins?
