We all know that Christmas is a religious holiday that honors the birth of Jesus and is a significant religious event for Christians all over the world.However, many people are unaware that Jesus is also revered in Islam, despite the fact that the majority of Muslims do not observe Christmas as a religious festival.(However, some Muslims, particularly those in the United States, do observe it for cultural reasons!) For the occasion, here are six interesting facts about the position of Jesus — and his mother, Mary — in Islam that you might not have known before:

1. Jesus, Mary, and the angel Gabriel are all prominent characters in the Qur’an (as are Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and a slew of other Bible characters)
2. Muslims believe that Jesus (referred to as ″Isa″ in Arabic) was a prophet of God who was born to a virgin
3. and Muslims believe that Jesus (referred to as ″Isa″ in Arabic) was a prophet of God who was born to a virgin (Mary). He will also return to Earth before the Day of Judgment, they believe, to restore justice and vanquish al-Masih ad-Dajjal, also known as ″the false messiah″ or ″the Antichrist,″ as he was previously called. Many Christians will recognize a lot of this as being familiar territory. (The fact that Muslims are aware that ″al-Masih ad-Dajjal″ is the Arabic term for the Antichrist caused some.uh.unexpected complications for Netflix recently — spoiler alert: this article contains spoilers.) Mary (also known as ″Maryam″ in Arabic) is commemorated in the Qur’an with a complete chapter, which is the only chapter in the Qur’an to be dedicated to a female character. As a matter of fact, Mary is the only woman to be specifically recognized by name in the whole Qur’an. ″Other female figures are recognized simply by their relationship to others, such as the wife of Adam and the mother of Moses, or by their title, such as the Queen of Sheba,″ according to the Study Quran. More times in the Qur’an are references to Mary than there are references to her in the entire New Testament of the Bible
4. Just as they do with all of the other prophets, including Mohammed, devout Muslims recite ″peace be upon him″ after every time they refer to Jesus by name
5. Muslims believe that Jesus performed miracles, such as: There are numerous of Jesus’ miracles mentioned in the Qur’an. These include restoring sight to the blind, curing lepers, reviving the dead, and breathing life into clay birds
6. among others.
7. When Jesus was a child in the cradle, the account of his birth as related in the Qur’an is also the tale of his first miracle, when he spoke to his mother and announced himself to be a prophet of God. The plot is as follows:

And keep in mind Mary’s story in the Book, when she separated from her family and moved to an eastern location.And she kept her identity hidden from them.Then We sent Our Spirit to her, and it took on the appearance of a flawless man in order to serve her.″I seek shelter from thee in the Compassionate, if you are reverent!″ she said in response.″I am only a messenger from thy Lord, sent to bestow upon thee a pure boy,″ he explained.″How am I going to have a son when no guy has ever touched me, and I have never been unchaste?″ she wondered.

It was he who stated, ″As a result, it shall be.’It is simple for Me,’ thy Lord declares.″ We did this so that he could serve as a sign to the world and as a mercy from Us.And that is a subject that has been decreed.As a result, she conceived him and retreated with him to a remote location.

• She was driven to the trunk of a date palm by the agony of delivery.
• ″Would that I had died before this and had been a thing of the past, completely forgotten!″ she said.
• As a result, he yelled to her from underneath her, ″Do not be alarmed!
• A rivulet hath been created beneath thy feet by thy Lord.

• Shake the trunk of the date palm in the direction of oneself, and fresh, ripe dates will fall on thy head.
• So eat and drink, and keep thy eyes open and cool.
• When encountering any human being, inform them that you have pledged a fast to the Compassionate, and that you will not speak to any human being on this day.″ Then she brought him with her to her people, carrying him on her back.
• Then they shouted, ″Mary, Mary, Mary!
• You’ve brought something very remarkable!

• O Aaron’s sister, how I adore you!
• Thy father was not a bad guy, and thy mother was not a promiscuous woman.″ Then she gestured to him with her index finger.
• ″How are we to communicate with someone who is still an infant in the cradle?″ they wondered.

He stated that, ″I truly believe that I am a servant of God.He has given me the Book and elevated me to the status of prophet.He has blessed me wherever I may be, and he has placed upon me the practice of prayer and almsgiving for as long as I live, as well as the need to be faithful to my mother.And He has not turned me into a bossy, horrible creature.God’s blessings be upon me on the day I was born, on the day I die, and the day I am resurrected from the dead!″ That is Jesus, the son of Mary, making a proclamation of truth, which they do not believe.

Muslim believers venerate Jesus as a prophet despite the fact that they do not think Jesus is the son of God, which is a key gap between Muslim and Christian views on him.Merry Christmas to you!

Sirat al-Mustaqim – Wikipedia

This is a section of Surah Al-Fatiha, which means ″the Book of Fate.″ The road of Islam known as the Sirat-al-Mustaqim is the way that leads to the path of success in the afterlife, according to Islamic tradition.In Islam, Allah has instructed Muslims to stay on the middle route, or the straight path, and not to deviate from it by taking the ‘other pathways,’ which, according to Mujhid, relate to innovations and questionable topics.Makruh (Arabic: ) refers to issues that are in doubt or disliked.They are not regarded sins, but rather represent a gray area between good and evil.

The theology of the Trinity is a Christian belief that God is a single entity who exists simultaneously and eternally as a communion of three distinct people, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are all equally divine.Such a concept of diversity within God, in any case, is regarded a rejection of monotheism and is thought to be incompatible with the revelation revealed in Muslim scripture.It is considered to be a kind of disbelief in Islam when people attribute partners to God – whether they are sons or daughters, or other types of companions.Throughout the Quran, God’s ultimate oneness is asserted frequently and strongly, thereby ruling out the notion of another entity sharing his sovereignty or essence.In Islam, the Angel Gabriel is considered to be the personification of the Holy Spirit.The fact that Muslims have expressly rejected Christian beliefs of the Trinity from an early age has been shown beyond any reasonable question.

So put your faith in Allah and His prophets. And don’t say ″three″
• refrain from doing so – it is healthier for you. Indeed, there is only one God, Allah. He is exalted above the status of having a son. Whatever is in the skies and whatever is on the ground are both in His possession. Allah is adequate in all things
• those who claim, ″Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,″ have undoubtedly disbelieved, whereas the Messiah has declared, ″O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord,″ have undoubtedly disbelieved. Indeed, anyone who connects people with Allah has been denied entry into Paradise, and the Fire is his only haven from the punishment of Allah. And there are no apologists for those who have done evil. Those who assert that Allah is the third of three gods have unquestionably disbelieved. And there is only one God, and he is the only one who exists. They will undoubtedly suffer from a terrible penalty if they do not refrain from speaking what they are saying at this point in time. So, will they refuse to repent to Allah and ask His forgiveness in this situation? Allah, on the other hand, is Forgiving and Merciful. The Messiah, the son of Mary, was only a messenger
• messengers had come before him and gone on before him. His mother, on the other hand, was a believer in the truth. They were both used to consuming food. Check out the indications that We provide, then check out how they are mislead
• and when Allah says, ″O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?’″ they will be shocked. ″You are exalted, O God!″ he would exclaim. It was not my place to say anything that I had no right to say. You would have known what I was talking about if I had stated it. You are aware of what is going on inside of me, and I am unaware of what is going on within of You. Indeed, You are the only one who has knowledge of the unseen. I didn’t say anything to them other than what You had instructed me to say – to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. In the meantime, I served as a witness over them
• nevertheless, when You lifted me up, You became the Observer over them, just as You are the Witness over everything. In the event that You punish them, it is true that they are Your slaves
• yet, if You pardon them, it is true that You are the Exalted in Might and the Wise.

• Aside from that, the following scriptures are related to the theory of the ″Trinity″: 19:88-93, 23:91, and 112:1-4 They also claim that ″The Most Merciful has taken a son.″ You have committed a heinous crime against humanity. The skies are on the verge of bursting out, the earth is splitting open, and the mountains are collapsing in destruction, which they credit to the Most Merciful’s son, according to the Bible. Furthermore, it is not fitting for the Most Merciful to accept a son as a sacrifice. As long as there is no one in the heavens and on the earth except that he comes to Allah as a servant, Allah has never taken a son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. If there were multiple deities, each deity would have taken what it had created, and some of them would have attempted to defeat the others. Allah is exalted above and beyond anything people describe.

Modern scholars have offered a wide range of interpretations of these passages.Although the last group of passages has traditionally been interpreted as rejecting the standard Christian understanding of Jesus as God’s son, Watt has argued that they pertain particularly to an unorthodox notion of ″physical sonship.″:47 Watt’s argument is supported by a number of other scholars.A possible criticism of Syriac literature that refers to Jesus as ″the third of three″ has been suggested as an interpretation of verse 5:73, which is seen as an attack on the notion that Christ was divine.As a result, it is possible that lines 5:72–75 are simply condemning the notion that Jesus and God are one and the same.Alternately, it might be a deliberate reduction of the Christian belief in the humanity and divinity of Christ in order to reveal its possible weakness when viewed from the solidly monotheistic stance of Islam.In a similar vein, verse 4:171 might be seen as a denial of Jesus’ divinity.

Notably, early Muslim Quranic commentators observed that ″the Christian ‘three’ was an interior attribute of the godhead, rather than a sequence of exterior entities united along with God″ while understanding these verses.Some Muslim scholars feel that 5:116 refers to Mary as a member of the Christian Trinity, which they believe is correct.This is used by critics to suggest that the Quran’s author was wrong about orthodox Christian teachings, which hold that Mary is a human being and that the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity.According to Muslims, in the past, heretical Christians have expressly regarded Mary to be a divine entity, whilst Christians have denied this.

• While some believe that Q5:116 does hint to the Trinity, others believe that it does not since the term ″Trinity″ is not expressly defined in the verse and because in situations where the Trinity is explicitly acknowledged (Q4:171 and Q5:73), Mary’s purported supernatural position is not mentioned.
• The Quranic indictment of Mary’s divinity claim in Q5:116;:47 is supported by some contemporary Western research, which argues that the passage typically serves as an example of Shirk and admonishes those who engage in it.

″Can you tell me who people think I am?″ Jesus posed this question to his disciples.How his followers understood his life and mission is seen in their responses, which range from John the Baptist to Elijah or one of the prophets.Today, asking Muslim communities all across the world the same question—who do you believe Christ to be?—is just as illuminating as it was then.The Quran references Jesus, also known as Isa, 25 times, but each time in a distinct way.The Quran teaches that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary (19:20–21) and that he is ″highly esteemed in this world and the next″ (3:45–47) as a result of his birth.As a result, he is referred to as Isa ibn Maryam, or Jesus son of Mary.
