In the summer finale on Monday, not one, not two, but three of the Fosterkids found their whole existence on the verge of being overturned. When Mariana chose to combine Jesus’ ADHD medication with wine after discovering that her boyfriend Mat may be attending school in Boston, the already-eventful season finale took a risky turn. The adolescent, who was not in her right mind, believed she saw her ex-boyfriend, Nick, coming after her and fled.

The Fosterscould go on forever, just pouring out characters and storylines that exemplify the world’s ills, and I’d like to think there’s a universe where it does. The final season finale — the third and final installment of three parts that could have easily been combined into a single more concise installment, grumble grumble — feels more like a launching point than an ending. It all comes to a close at the Adams-Fosters’ house, the location where it all began.

To be eligible to run for the assembly, Lena must live in a different district, which means that she must say goodbye to her home and to the Fosters family.
Mariana is headed to San Francisco, Callie is headed to Los Angeles, Brandon is scoring movies, Jesus is going to Europe (with Mariana), and Jude is going back to school, where he’ll communicate more frequently when he’s overwhelmed.
This was never a graceful or clean show, and neither was it ever intended to be.
The troubles of the Adams-Foster family ranged from concussions to sex trafficking to charter schools.
Even in the finale, which makes a half-hearted grab for drama, stability feels inevitable.
That said, some tiny ripples happen.
In the final bits ofThe Fosters,Emma and Jesus enacted a small romantic comedy.

She’s there to get her man back.

Jesus slept with Jaden that very night and, according to Jaden, the sex was “amazing.” (She later rescinds this compliment.) The Fosterstakes the hard way out with this couple: They break up.

Even after Jesus declares his love for her.

After finding out he slept with Jaden —they were on a break!

That’s a long time to have spent with someone.

This show really wanted us to think it would end with a canceled wedding.

For starters, Eliza is an entirely new character, and why should we, the audience, care about her well-being?

That’s not what happens here.

I know that look,” Callie tells Brandon during a late night meeting.

Brandon, worried that he’s losing himself in this marriage, seeks the advice of his dad.

Good to have you back.

Take care of yourself, Brandon.

He apologizes to Eliza; they kiss, and then stand up to Eliza’s parents.

Brava, new couple!

They escape the hotel room for some late-night skinny-dipping.

In this case, a hotel worker fetches their robes from the beach, and Stef and Lena run around covering themselves with leaves for half of the episode.

Plus, the kids are moving out soon, so, more time for swimming naked!

Callie and Brandon, after five seasons of tension, didn’t end up together.

The episode flashes back to the beginning of Callie and Brandon’s relationship during the wedding.

They never dated!

(Even though, as Callie said with a pained voice, “We can’t!”) Revisiting it is almost pointless.

Plus, there’s always… Will Callie fall for the corporate lawyer?

But, for the moment, Callie has to end up with a man.

At least she’s the agent of this romance.

Mat, that fedora-wearing bassist, makes a meal of the situation by kissing Ashley at the wedding just as Mariana decided she would tour Europe with him over the summer.

After all, this show is aboutfamily,notbassists.

He’s distressed.

I can’t be whatever I want to be,” he says.

But also, in the larger ‘verse, there are a million Carters, kids who can’t talk to their families about their emotional turmoil.

The shoe is mostly stable — that’s why it’s so good at pointing at everything that’snotstable.

The Adams-Fosters promise to stay in his life.

It’s Not Where You Come From… — It’s all the very excellent matte lipsticks in this finale.

— It’s when Lena says that she wants to run for assembly because more women need to run for office. — It’s where you beeeeloooong.

‘The Fosters’ Season 4, Episode 11 Spoilers; Jesus Seriously Injured, Callie Gets Into A Car Accident With Troy

As “The Fosters” season 4 returns after a long hiatus, the foster family will be confronted with a number of challenges. The events of the previous episode will be dealt with in greater detail in Episode 11. In the meantime, Jesus (Jake T. Austin) is in serious condition and Callie (Maia Mitchell) will be involved in a vehicle accident. Jesus was knocked unconscious in “The Fosters” season 4, episode 10 titled “Collateral Damage,” which aired in August of last year after attempting to protect Mariana from Nick.

According to the official description for “The Fosters” season 4, episode 11, Jesus will be transported to the emergency room in the episode.
Because this is Jesus’ second head injury, there is a good chance that problems may arise.

In the chapel, a tearful Stef is praying for him.
Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) will be remorseful for the fact that Jesus was harmed as a result of his actions.
