How Old Is God Jesus

How old is God now?

Asked in the following category: General The most recent update was made on the 28th of January, 2020. Godas, as a single all-powerful being, has been around for approximately 3,350 years. As a result of these methodologies, most academics believe that Jesus was born between 6 and 4 BC, and that his public ministry began about AD 27–29 and continued for one to three years. They locate the death of Jesus between the years AD 30 and AD 36, according to their calculations. In addition to the foregoing, how can God have no beginning?

This God is so powerful that time and space are unable to constrain or define Him in any way.

Also, do you know how old the Bible is in 2019?

Of course, this is only the information we have been able to gather and date.

The Book of Genesis, according to the majority of Biblical academics, was the first book ever written down.

It is the JewishGod, whose name is YHWH, who is descended from the ChristianGod (possibly pronounced Yahweh, which means “The one who is”).

How Old Was Jesus When He Died?

As Easter approaches, many people may begin to wonder about some of the less well-known details of Jesus’ life and ministry. We’re curious in his appearance, what clothes he wore, how tall he was, and what kind of food he ate. While contemplating Jesus’ humanity, we can’t help but ask ourselves these kinds of questions, especially as the day of his death draws closer. One question comes up rather frequently because we want to know how valuable it is in comparison to our own lives. What was Jesus’ age at the time of his death?

  • Was he of a certain age?
  • Was he weakened by his advanced age and the responsibilities of a long life?
  • As we contemplate our own mortality, his humanity screams out to us from the threshold of death.
  • In addition to you, it is also yours.

How Do We Determine Jesus’ Age?

There are no scriptures in the Bible that tell us how old Jesus was when he died. What we do have are passages that tell us how old he was when he did specific tasks, as well as the cultural expectations of hisfaithcommunity regarding significant anniversaries in a person’s life at certain points in his life. The dates when he began his ministry and the length of time he spent in ministry up to his death are the ones to keep an eye out for since they are related to his death. But first and foremost, we need to know when he was born.

According to Luke 3:23, Jesus was roughly thirty years old when he began his career (26-30 AD) and remained in service for three years, putting Jesus’ death between 29 and 33 AD.

In addition to the circumcision and Temple salvation, the Bar-Mitzvah and reaching the age of majority would have been significant events in Jesus’ life (20 years old).

What Were Some Milestones in Jesus’ Childhood?

When attempting to calculate the age of Jesus, we must take into consideration anything that is described in Hebrews 4:15. He was completely free of sin. As a result of his Jewish background, he was raised to believe that he was flawless in accordance with the Law of Moses. Whether or not he was perfect according to the Law of Moses indicates that the expectations of the communal life guided by the Law were satisfied in a satisfactory manner. This implies that if we look closely, we can track some of his life milestones and use that information to construct a rough chronology of his existence.

  • The Mosaic Law stipulated that all men were compelled to do so.
  • A kid cannot become a member of this religious society unless he has undergone ceremonial circumcision.
  • This was done during the cleansing rite forty days following the birth of the child.
  • As a kid (Jesus) was in contact with his mother’s blood at birthing, the ritual declared him to be clean.
  • Due to the fact that Jesus was the firstborn male, this was also the ceremonial of redemption.
  • Teaching at the Temple when I was twelve years old (Luke 2:41-51).
  • At a time when Jesus was still considered a kid and when his father was still held accountable for his moral acts, Jesus stands alongside and educates the instructors in the Temple.
  • When the Magi came to visit, I was only two years old (Matthew 2:16).
  • Using the information provided by the Gospel of Matthew, we may establish the ages of additional individuals associated with Jesus’ life.
  • As a result, we know that Jesus was two years old when the Magi came to honor him.

We can also infer that Jesus’ family remained in Bethlehem for a period of two years following the birth of their son. While it is possible that Jesus was born in a stable, it is more likely that his family had relocated to a more permanent residence.

Do We Know What Jesus Was Doing as a Young Adult?

The Bible does not provide us a detailed account of Jesus’ life from the age of twelve until he reached full manhood, but it does provide us with some indications of what he was up to during that period. Despite the fact that the individuals who wrote the passage contained in Mark 6:3 were not depicting Jesus in a good manner, the verse did represent something that they knew about him. These are the folks who have grown up with him and who refer to him as “the carpenter.” The fact that his father Joseph was a carpenter by profession is also known from other scriptures, and it would have been expected in the culture that Jesus would have learnt his father’s craft and carried on the family business.

  • It is not impossible that Jesus may have worked on some of these projects while he was a young man because they required a considerable quantity of labor to be completed successfully.
  • Dr.
  • Joseph goes into much detail about this here.
  • The Essenes are not particularly mentioned by name in the Bible at any point in time.
  • As a result, Jesus’ teachings on the latter days and communal life are consistent with some of the themes that the Essene community was intensely concerned about at the time of his death.
  • A further point in favor of the thesis is the fact that Jesus did not marry.
  • Carrying water was considered a woman’s responsibility in Jesus’ day.
  • If a household possessed slaves, the slaves may be assigned to this work, although this was typically a female-only responsibility.
  • According to this report from the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Essenes were known to be present in Jerusalem at the time, and they were known to dwell in houses that were divided according to gender.
  • In this chapter, there is also the question of what Jesus instructs his disciples to say to one another.
  • The “Teacher of Righteousness” was the title given to the leader of the Essene society in ancient times.

While we cannot be certain that Jesus was a member of the Essene community, it appears that he was at the very least aware of the Essene sect’s Jerusalem branch, its practices, and its teachings, according to the evidence.

How Old Was Jesus When He Began His Ministry?

When Jesus reached the age of thirty, he would have been eligible to begin serving in the ministry. According to Luke 3:23, Jesus was around thirty years old when he began his preaching. For him to be permitted to teach in the Temple area of Jerusalem, he would have needed to come from a lineage that authorized him to do so. When Elizabeth was revealed to be the daughter of Aaron in Luke 1:5, Mary, Aaron’s mother, was a relative of Elizabeth. The fact that Jesus is descended from Abraham gives him the authority to function in the teaching capacity that he assumed when he visited the Temple.

  1. A number of incidents are depicted in the Gospel of Luke to mark Jesus’ initiation into the ministry.
  2. The significance of this sequence of milestones and occurrences may be understood on a number of different levels.
  3. There are spiritual causes for Jesus’ confrontations with both temporal and spiritual powers throughout his lifetime, according to this passage.
  4. This puts his age at the time of his death on the cross at thirty-three years old.
  5. The typical lifespan in Jesus’ day, according to several sources, was thirty-five years old, which would make Jesus appear to be a much older man at the time of his death.
  6. I would have to agree that Jesus died very young when compared to his contemporaries.
  7. When he tallied up the expenses, he concluded that we were worth it.

What Does This Mean for Believers?

Many people are called by God to serve in ministry. While some people begin at a young age, and this has been the accepted standard for a long time, the tide is turning on this. Many persons who have entered the ministry in recent years have done so as second or third jobs, according to statistics (including the author of this article). Prior to entering the ministry, Jesus worked as a carpenter, which was a very different profession. Don’t allow your age deter you from pursuing your goals. Even if you are a child, keep in mind that Jesus was twelve years old when he gave his first public teaching to the Temple instructors.

  1. Spend a short amount of time discerning, and then follow God’s direction.
  2. The fact that Jesus died should be the most important factor to consider when examining his age at the time of his death.
  3. His age is significant in that he was not a kid and was able to make his own decisions while on Earth, since he was not compelled to do so.
  4. In addition, he did not die by natural causes.
  5. He was prepared to pay such a high price for the sake of his family.

He was here for a long enough period of time to demonstrate to us how to live, how to die, and how to live again in eternity. Credit for the image goes to Getty Images/mumemories Larry White is the pastor of Ephesus Baptist Church, which is located in Sanford, North Carolina.

How old was Jesus when he died?

However, the picture of Jesus’ crucifixion is one of the most important symbols in Christianity. But how old was Jesus when he died? (Image courtesy of Getty) The death of Jesus Christ through crucifixion – and the subsequent resurrection of Jesus Christ – is the reason we celebrate Easter. There has long been recorded proof that Jesus, who claimed to be the son of God, was a genuine man who lived in the first century AD. In the first century, he was a Galilean Jew who was born at the beginning of the first century.

  1. So, how old was he at the time of his death?
  2. However, that particular point is as obscure as mud.
  3. The gospels, on the other hand, indicate that Jesus was born during the Census of Quirinius, which took place 10 years after Herod’s death, which runs counter to this supposition.
  4. The majority of experts believe Jesus was crucified between 30 and 33 AD, which corresponds to 1985 to 1988.
  5. In a Spanish church, an actor portraying Jesus is on the stage (Picture: Getty) The length of his ministry (which came to an abrupt stop with his crucifixion) has been estimated to have been roughly three years.
  6. The Synoptic Gospels, on the other hand, only mention one Passover during Christ’s ministry, implying that he was only around for a year after being baptized.
  7. It’s true that this is disputed on the basis of many contradicting elements in religious scriptures, but historians are only ever fighting over a few years in his age when they make this claim.

Good morning, my fellow Christ-followers and brothers and sisters. I hope we had a good time last night! I have a perplexing question that I believe the Lord has asked me when I was considering the upcoming Christmas celebration and simultaneously hearing a variety of prayers and desires from a variety of sources. So, what exactly is the question? It’s the title of the communication, as you can see. What is the age of Jesus Christ? The question has been bothering me because I believe that knowing the answer to this question would help me to justify the purpose for his birthday celebration.

  • People are constantly very happy and cheerful, but is Christ also happy and joyful?
  • Answering this question will provide a clue as to why we need to commemorate birthdays in our lives.
  • “Can you tell me your age?” they inquire.
  • A person’s age is determined by the year in which he or she was born and the year in which they are celebrating their birthday.
  • According to the Bible, celebrating our birthdays is about learning to count our days so that we may grow a heart of knowledge, which is why we should learn to count our days.
  • Teach us how to live a healthy lifestyle!
  • Growing in wisdom is essential, just as we grow older, we should also increase in understanding.
  • Most significantly, we place our trust in God’s wisdom to guide us in living properly as we should, in accordance with His expectations for our life.
  • The issue is, how old is our Lord Jesus Christ in chronological terms?
  • The exact age of Jesus is unknown.
  • If that is the case, then his age isn’t all that significant in comparison to the mission that God has given him, since he came for us to demonstrate how to live in God’s kingdom and how to be restored to what we lost when Adam rebelled against God.

Jesus’ birth was certain, and his purpose and vision were unmistakable and unambiguous. Consider the following facts about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to begin:

  1. His conception was one-of-a-kind
  2. No one else has ever been born in the same way. In the absence of a relationship between man and woman Mary and her husband, Joseph, did not have any sexual encounters. In order for God’s sperm to fertilize Mary’s matured egg, the Holy Spirit overshadowed her and caused her to release it
  3. While Jesus was in the womb, the natural/physical father did not interfere with Mary’s pregnancy, and Joseph did not sleep with his wife during the pregnancy period
  4. He was born as a king, saviour, ruler, the Lord, and counselor. In other words, he was aware of the reason for his birth. We didn’t know why we were born until we discovered it for ourselves
  5. He died, was raised, and ascended to heaven, where he will continue to live eternally. He is alive and well now
  6. He sits at the right hand of God, interceding for us
  7. He will return to rule on earth with those of us who have trusted him, followed him, and walked with him
  8. He is the ultimate judge of all
  9. He is the judge of all things.

With all of these facts, as well as much more that we may discover, it is very evident that Jesus came to fulfill a specific mission that no one else will ever be able to complete. What he has come to undertake cannot be accomplished by anybody else. In the same way, what God created us for is not the same as what another person is capable of accomplishing. One of the only times that God will give up on us is after we have completed our assigned time on this planet. According to the Bible, a man is only allowed to die once, and after that, he will face judgment.

God assigns each man a work to do, a need to meet on this planet, a vision to realize, and a goal to achieve on his journey through life.

Returning to our Lord Jesus Christ, the fact that He is a baby is not beneficial to both heaven and man.

During his early childhood, he might have suffered from any of the following events:

  1. He is completely at the mercy of others. Individuals can murder him if he is not protected by his heavenly Father, which is why God placed him in the care of people who could provide him with the highest level of care and protection the majority of the time. Nobody is chosen by God if they are reckless with their life or if they refuse to heed him when he gives them instructions. He instructed Joseph, his father, and his mother Mary on a number of occasions, saying, “I am a slave to man.” He had to subordinate his will to man, because he was under the authority of man, particularly his parents and elders in his immediate vicinity. Galatians 4:1-6
  2. He is completely helpless. As a result, he was unable to accomplish anything for himself, and he was unable to employ all of his parts as instruments of goodness to heaven and mankind
  3. He was unable to offer joy to his father or to assist his brothers in any way. He was unable to redeem us from our sins, nor was he able to restore our life to us. He was placed under the supervision of others
  4. He was limited to the tasks needed of him as a carpenter
  5. He was allowed to accompany men
  6. He could be made scared
  7. He could be exploited
  8. He might be destroyed

All of these things, and much more, might be done to our Lord Jesus while he is still a child. Most Christians still regard him as if he were a baby, and they do not consider him to be their life and Lord. The only thing we can take away from his birth is the fact that it gave all of heaven and earth hope that, at long last, the human race is on the verge of being redeemed from eternal torment and separation. As well as that this kid would grow up to fulfill his or her God-given mission on earth, which is to bring pleasure to the skies and blessings to mankind.

  1. The heavens rejoicing for our sake, knowing that God’s deepest wish has finally been fulfilled via his son.
  2. Heaven delighted because of us, not because of the heavens.
  3. We had lost touch with the Holy Spirit, and Jesus came to bring him back to us.
  4. Man was created in God’s image and likeness in order to have dominion over all of creation.
  5. Growing in intimacy and closeness with the Holy Spirit, who is the ruler of God’s kingdom, is how we will achieve this.
  6. He increased in knowledge and understanding.
  7. Growing in understanding in order to accomplish your God-given vision, mission, and purpose on this planet is what Christmas is all about.
  8. In order to obtain a heart of knowledge, it is necessary to understand how to count and number the days of our lives.

Amen. Have you progressed in your understanding of God’s wisdom, righteousness, and grace since the last Christmas? Consider this as you commemorate the life and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

How old is God?

Although we humans measure our age by the day of our birth, this approach does not work when it comes to determining God’s age since He does not have a chronological age. God has always existed and will continue to exist. As a result, He exists beyond of time and space, and not only that, He is the creator of time itself. God is the creator of the entire cosmos and everything included within it (John 1:3). God created time, and we are able to measure the passage of time by which we may count our days, years, and seasons as they pass (Genesis 1:14; Psalm 104:19).

  1. God addressed himself as “I AM WHO I AM” in His first communication with Moses (Exodus 3:14).
  2. God demonstrated to Moses his omnipotent rulership, infinite strength, and never-ending presence by addressing him as “I AM.” He is the God who exists at all times.
  3. Jesus is God and was with God before the beginning of the creation of the world (Colossians 1:16; John 1:1–3).
  4. In fact, Jesus is “I am” even before Abraham was born (John 8:58).
  5. In the words of the Greeks, he is “the Alpha and Omega,” “the first and last, the beginning and the end” (Revelation 22:13; cf.
  6. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, while Omega is the last letter of the alphabet.
  7. God, on the other hand, is not constrained by the limitations of time.
  8. As a result, asking “How old is God?” is an erroneous categorization.
  9. Wanting to know how old God is, is like wanting to know what the color blue sounds like (colors are not audibly perceived) (colors are not audibly perceived).
  10. We have a God who has always been and will always be.
  11. We know that God is always with us and will never leave us (Hebrews 13:5–6); we know that He is faithful to complete His good work (Philippians 1:6; 2:12–13); we know we can never be separated from His love (Romans 8:28–39).

The First Sunday of Lent: Jesus is tempted in the desert // Faith at Marquette // Marquette University

As one Bible scholar pointed out, if Jesus had not revealed this event to some of his disciples, it would not have been included in the stories of his life and work. He is depicted as being susceptible to the deceptions of Satan. In the aftermath of his baptism, why would Jesus go into the desert for a forty-day retreat? For the same reason, individuals go on retreat: to reflect on who they are, where they are heading, and how they will get there in the best possible way. The blurring of one’s perspective on life occurs as a result of all the noise and bustle of everyday existence.

Matthew 4:1-11

At that point, Jesus was brought into the desert by the Holy Spirit, where he was tempted by the devil. He had fasted for forty days and forty nights and had become hungry as a result. “If you are the Son of God, order that these stones be transformed into loaves of bread,” the tempter said as he approached him and added. “It is written: ‘One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God,'” he remarked in response. He was then taken to the sacred city, where the devil forced him to stand on the parapet of the temple and demanded that he throw himself down since he was the Son of God.

“Again, it is stated, you shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test,” Jesus said.

It is written: “You shall worship the Lord, your God, and you shall serve him alone,” says the Bible.

Reflection from the Preface of the Mass:

Because of his forty-day fast, this is considered a holy season of self-denial. Choosing to reject Satan’s temptations has taught us to cleanse ourselves of the hidden corruption of evil, and in doing so to eat his paschal feast with purity of heart until we reach the fulfillment of the meal’s completion in the promised land of heaven.

Suggestions for Reflection

  1. A holy season of self-denial has been established by his forty-day fast. Choosing to reject Satan’s temptations has taught us to cleanse ourselves of the hidden corruption of evil, and in doing so to eat his paschal feast with purity of heart until we reach the fulfillment of the meal’s purpose in the promised land of heaven.

Ages when Americans become Christian

Ages at which Americans say they initially placed their belief and faith in Jesus of Nazarenth as the promised Messiah and thus became evangelical, born-again Christians

The information contained in the pie graph or chart was gathered from research conducted by the Global Ministry Center of the Church of the Nazarene (CMN). In another poll conducted by the International Bible Society, it was discovered that 83 percent of all Christians make their initial commitment to Jesus between the ages of 4 and 14, which is to say, while they are youngsters or young adolescents. In surveys conducted by the Barna Research Group, children aged 5 to 13 in the United States have a 32 percent chance of embracing Christ, and youth or teenagers aged 14 to 18 have a 14 percent chance of doing so.

In light of this information, it is critical to influence children’s decisions about whether or not to follow Christ and accept Him as Savior and Lord.

“Let the small children come to me, and do not prevent them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like these,” Jesus declared. – Matthew 9:14 (New International Version)

Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God, also known as the Kingdom of Heaven, is the spiritual realm over which God rules as king, or the fulfillment on Earth of God’s will, according to Christian doctrine. The term appears frequently in the New Testament, and it is most commonly used byJesus Christ in the first three Gospels, among other places. Although it is generally agreed that the Kingdom of God is the major issue of Jesus’ teaching, there have been vastly divergent perspectives on the nature of Jesus’ teaching on the Kingdom of God and its relationship to the established concept of the church.

  • Jesus may have used the Aramaic termmalkut to refer to his kingdom, which is hidden below the Greek word for kingdom (basileia).
  • In English, a term such as kingship, rule, or sovereignty could be more effective in conveying the concept than other words.
  • Their hope rested on the arrival of the Kingdom of God, according to Christian eschatology.
  • For the majority of Jews in Jesus’ day, the world appeared to be so utterly cut off from God that nothing short of direct supernatural action on a cosmic scale would be able to resolve the issue.
  • It appears that the majority of Jesus’ miracles should be seen as prophetic emblems of the advent of the Kingdom, and that his teaching was concerned with the appropriate reaction to the crisis of its arrival, as revealed in the first three Gospel accounts.
  • When it comes to the subject of whether Jesus preached that the Kingdom had truly arrived during his lifetime, academic opinion is mixed.
  • He may have considered his own death to be a providential requirement for the ultimate creation of the organization.
  • The failure to bring about the end of the world in one generation, as predicted by some Christians such as Paul (for example), caused consternation among them.

As a result, even though the phrase Kingdom of God was used less frequently, the concept it represented was thought to be partially realized in the life of the church, which has been virtually identified with the Kingdom at various times; the Kingdom of God, on the other hand, would be fully realized only after the end of the world and the accompanying Last Judgment.

The Johannine writings in the New Testament had a significant role in the shift from the conventional Christian vision of the Kingdom of God to this more traditional Christian perspective.

How Old is God?

As a result, God does not have an age. “Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty,” according to the Bible, is God, who is also known as “The Alpha and the Omega” (Revelation 1:8).

  • Verse in the Bible that refer to God’s age include: God: from the beginning
  • God: the Eternal One
  • God: never grows old
  • God: eternally youthful.

Bible verses about God’s age:

1 Timothy 1_17= “Now to the King everlasting, immortal, unseen, to God who alone is wise…” In Psalm 90:2, the author writes, “Before the mountains were born forth, or before You made the earth and the globe, Even from the beginning of time to the end of time, You are God.” Psalm 93:2 says, “Your throne has been set from the beginning; you have existed from the beginning.” Rev 10:6 = “and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything that is in it,” says the author of the book of Revelation.

“The everlasting God is your refuge,” says Deuteronomy 33:27.

1) God: No beginning, no ending

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the world,” according to the Bible’s very first words (Genesis 1:1). However, this passage is not referring to the beginning of God’s existence; rather, it is referring to the origin of our planet and the cosmos. God was present at the beginning of our universe, but He had existed for a very long time before that. In reality, the Bible makes it quite apparent that God has existed since the beginning of time. Throughout history, there has never been a point in time when He did not exist, and there will never be a point in time when He ceases existing.

2) God: The Eternal One

“I AM,” for example, is one of the names God uses to refer to Himself (Exodus 3:14), indicating that God lives in the everlasting present. He has been, and He will continue to be, the center of the universe. Humans exist in three distinct time periods: the past, the present, and the future. God, on the other hand, does not have the same concept of time as we mortals who live and die. According to the Bible, “With the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years are as one day” (Matthew 6:33).

3) God: never gets old

When it comes to objects becoming old and changing with time, we humans are used to it. God, on the other hand, never grows old. God does not alter with the passage of time. “The everlasting God. neither faints nor is weary,” declared the prophet Isaiah. (See Isaiah 40:28–31.) As a gift, God will grant us immortality when Jesus returns for the second time, allowing us to live life without having to worry about growing old or losing our youth.

Death will be swallowed up in victory because we will get immortality as a gift from the eternal, immortal, and everlasting God, and we will live forever in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:53, 54).

4) God: forever young!

The concept of things becoming old and changing with time is nothing new to us as human beings. God, on the other hand, does not get tired of us. God is unaffected by time. “The everlasting God. does not faint nor grow tired,” stated the prophet Isaiah. Scripture reference: (Isaiah 40:28-31). God will grant us immortality at the second coming of Jesus, allowing us to live a life free of the ravages of time and the ravages of old age. As a gift from the eternal, immortal, and everlasting God, we will be able to swallow death up in victory because we will have received immortality (1 Corinthians 15:53, 54).

How can Jesus be God, when Numbers 23:19 says that God is not a man or a son of man?

QuestionAnswer The passage Numbers 23:19a, which states, “God is not a man, that he should lie; nor the son of man, that he should repent,” is used as a biblical example of how the Old Testament indicates that Jesus cannot be God (KJV). This is based on the logic that if God is not a human being, then the Christian claim that Jesus, a human being, is God is untrue. The fact that Jesus refers to himself as the “Son of Man” on a number of occasions in the gospels is also troubling (e.g., Mark 14:21).

  • The New Testament, on the other hand, demonstrates that Jesus made claims to be God while also referring to Himself as the “Son of Man,” a term that declares His humanity.
  • Jesus claimed to be both the Son of God and the Son of Man, which was a controversial assertion at the time.
  • He claimed to be God while also asserting that He is (at the same time) a human being.
  • In the past, it was weird, and it remains strange now—strange enough to warrant the creation of a new word, thehypostatic union.
  • As a result, there is no way to gather “evidence.” We either believe in Jesus or we do not believe in Jesus.
  • As a result, when Jesus began teaching new doctrines, the old doctrines did not cease to be valid; rather, they were revealed.
  • All of Jesus’ new insights function in exactly the same way as the previous ones.

In fact, as Philip’s interaction with the Ethiopian demonstrates (Acts 8:30–35), this process is not destructive of the previous knowledge; rather, it is enlightening.

The argument being emphasized in Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, and Hosea 11:9 is that God is trustworthy and does not tell lies.

No matter how he feels, His everlasting objectives remain unchanged.

As a result, when God is said to as not being like a man, he is comparing one characteristic of God’s nature with an analogous aspect of man’s nature.

When God is referred to in the Old Testament as being unlike man, these allusions do not apply to Jesus’ special sort of humanity.

Rather of being a limitation, it is a contrast.

As a result, it may be asserted that God knew He would become a man before the book of Numbers was even written!

Christians believe that the Old Testament foreshadows the coming of the God-man because the New Testament revelation aids in the interpretation of the Old Testament allusions (e.g., Matthew 2:15; cf.

In light of this, it is crucial to note a key aspect about biblical interpretation: God reveals His truth gradually and over time.

For example, Adam and Eve did not need to know about salvation when they were innocent; yet, once they sinned, the timing was ripe, and God lay it out for them in Genesis 3:15.

We now realize that Genesis 3:15 refers directly to Jesus’ death on the cross, and that this understanding is crucial for us to live in the present day.

Their ignorance before to the collapse, couched as it was in innocence, was suitable for their situation.

Christians are now held accountable for the entirety of God’s Word, since we live in an era in which it has been completed.

Because God’s revelation is a gradual process, a person’s reaction to God is dependent on where he is in the process.

However, the predictions of John the Baptist, followed by the miracles of Jesus, were a further revelation.

The purpose of these writings, however, is for you to accept that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God” (John 20:30–31).

Whoever does not understand this is spiritually blind.

The book of Revelation unfolds in stages, with Old Testament principles becoming more fully articulated in the New Testament.

What was God Jesus doing between the ages of 9 and 33?

What was Goddoing between the ages of nine and thirty-three years?

Bible Answer:

Goddoing did between the ages of nine and thirty-three.

Jesus’ Birth

The same may be said about Jesus. In the Bible, we learn that Jesus’ father was Joseph and his mother was Mary. This information comes from the gospels of Matthew and Luke (Matt. 1:18-25). His mother was a virgin, which made his birth all the more rare. “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit,” said an angel of the Lord to him in a dream, adding, “Do not be frightened to take Mary as your wife, for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.” As a result, she will get pregnant and give birth to a son, whom you will name Jesus, because it is He who will redeem His people from their sins.” (NASB) Matthew 1:18-21 We are told that on the day of His birth, angels proclaimed His birth to a group of shepherds, and that approximately two years later, certain magi from the east came to honor Him by bestowing presents on Him.

Circumcision and Dedication

Because He was a Jew, He was circumcised according to the Law of Moses when he was about eight days old (Luke 2:21), when he was about eight days old. After a few months, His parents traveled to Jerusalem to have Jesus consecrated at the Temple there (Luke 2:22-35). The moment they reached their destination, a righteous man called Simeon cradled the newborn Jesus in his arms and cried out, “For mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, which Thou hast prepared in the midst of all peoples, A LIGHT OF REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, AND THE GLORY OF THY PEOPLE ISRAEL.” Luke 2:30-32 (New American Standard Bible) In addition, a prophetess named Anna expressed gratitude to God for Him (Luke 2:36-38).

Jesus was a great child as a baby!

Luke 2:40 (New American Standard Bible)

Dedication-to-Twelve Years

The next time we see Jesus Christ is when He is twelve years old, which is when He is born. Every year for the Passover, Jesus’ parents would take him to Jerusalem with them. This was more than simply a vacation for me. It was similar to a festival. This year, however, was unusual because Jesus remained in the temple after the Passover had ended, asking questions of and listening to the instructors who were present. Every year during the Passover holiday, his parents used to go to Jerusalem to be with him.

Then, after three days, they discovered Him at the temple, sitting among the professors, both listening to them and asking them questions about their teachings.

Luke 2:41-42, 46-47 (New American Standard Bible) Jesus was an out-of-the-ordinary youngster.

Luke 2:52 (New American Standard Bible) We know that Jesus had a number of brothers and sisters, according to tradition.

“Do His sisters not happen to be here with us?” They were offended by Him, as a result. Mark 6:3 (New American Standard Bible) Whether His sisters and brothers disliked, mocked, or adored Him is unknown to us at this time.

Twelve-to-Thirty Three Years

We don’t know anything about Jesus’ adolescence or twenties, either. Because He worked as a carpenter, we think that he did not have a formal education (Mark 6:3). When Jesus was around thirty years old, He began preaching in the local community. This was the minimum age at which a man might become a Jewish priest in the Jewish faith. And during the time of His public ministry, Jesus was around thirty years old. (NASB) Luke 3:23 (NIV) Because He cared about us, Jesus preached, taught, healed, and performed miracles for us.

That, however, was not the reason He came to this planet.

Conclusion:

As a result, the Bible does not provide us with much information about Jesus’ early life, because the most essential truth about Jesus is that He was sent to die. In order for you and I to be forgiven of our sins, he died on the cross. He died on the cross for all of us. The sins of everyone who believes that Jesus is God and asks Him to forgive him or her will be removed from their record. What was Jesus up to between the ages of nine and thirty-three? He was preparing to teach us the truth and then die in our place for our sins.

They have discovered that their lives have been altered and that their misdeeds have been forgiven.

Are you ready?

The Biblical Accounts of the Christmas Story

Jesus

Mr. Wednesday: “You’ve got your White, Jesuit-style Jesus, your Black African Jesus, your Mexican Jesus, and your swarthy Greek Jesus.”Shadow: “That’s a lot of Jesus.”Mr. Wednesday: “Well there’s a lot of need for Jesus, so there is a lot of Jesus.”
– Head Full of Snow

The major character of Christianity is Jesus Christ. On the feast day of Ostara, he was raised from the dead.

Background

Throughout history, Jesus has been gracious in his sharing of the Easter feast with the old goddess. Although Ostara is a sympathetic character, the too sympathetic Son of God would be saddened to learn that she feels some deep-seated anger toward him over the matter.

” A Murder of Gods “

Mexican Jesus is a fictitious character created by a fan. Mr. Ibiswrites a narrative called Coming to America about acoyote who leads a group of individuals across the border between the United States and Mexico. They arrive at the Rio Grande river and must wait until dusk before crossing it safely. Before attempting the crossing, the group is led in prayer by a female leader. The coyote cautions them that the water is deep and that if they are unable to swim, they should stay behind in the boat.

  1. When the party reaches the opposite side, one of them expresses gratitude to the Lord.
  2. Someone grabs his hand and lifts him to his feet.
  3. The sound of an engine revving and the illumination of the beach by clearance lights mounted on the tops of off-road trucks may be heard.
  4. They are shot at and murdered by men wielding rosaries and firearms emblazoned with the words Thy kingdom come engraved on the barrel and loaded with Vulcan ammunition.

When Jesus extends his arms to halt the slaughtering, the soldiers shoot him as well as the others. He is lying dead on the ground, a blood stain growing over his heart, and his hand has been blasted through with a bullet.

” Come to Jesus “

WhenShadowandJesus Primedoes On Easter Sunday, during a visit to Ostara’s house, one of the numerous Jesus figurines (Jesus Prime) comes up to Shadow and says hello. Wednesday informs Shadow of this “Believing is the same as seeing. Gods exist if you believe in them, and they are genuine.” A second Jesus figure with jelly beans dripping from his stigmata and haloes around the Madonna and infant is seen to Shadow as he glances around the room. Wednesday reveals that there is a Jesus Christ for every religious belief, branch, and denomination, and that there is one for everyone.

Wednesday contends that while millions of people may participate in parts of the rites of Easter, just a small number of people really invoke her name in prayer.

After taking Ostara’s day, Jesus expresses regret to Ostara, who attempts to console him before dragging Wednesday and Shadow inside the house to speak in private.

Shadow inquires as to whether Jesus Prime has always believed, to which Jesus Prime responds that he ‘is’ belief.

Jesus responds that it makes no difference whether Shadow believes that any of this is true or not; he is still on a trip and can only follow the route that his senses show him, and walk that road all the way to the finish.

Chapter Eight

It all depends on where you are, says Jacquel, who refers to Jesus as “the happy son of the virgin.” However, a friend of his reports seeing him hitching in Afghanistan, so it all depends on where you are. As a side note, Jacquel informs Shadow that Christmas is not truly his birthday, but rather the birthday of Mithras.

Chapter Eleven

Wednesday and Shadow arrive in San Francisco, where they catch up with Easter, who is enjoying an elaborate lunch in a park. Wednesday attempts to persuade her to join his side in the oncoming conflict by leaving her picnic behind and taking her to a coffee shop where she may feed anybody in the park with her leftovers. Easter is reminded on Wednesday that she is only doing well because of bunnies, eggs, and Jesus, not because of herself.

Chapter Fifteen

Shadow goes crazy when he is suspended from the World Tree. While walking through a Spanish-style building and conversing, a bearded man with a baseball cap hands him a glass of sour wine. When the guy inquires about the vigil on the tree, Shadow replies that it can be cleaning and purifying and that Shadow is giving up his mortal existence in order to become a deity, the man is taken aback.

When it comes to becoming a deity, whether ancient or modern, the stranger cautions that there is a price to pay.

  • Jesus Prime is Jeremy Daviesas
  • Fode Bangouraas is “Black Jesus”

  • And other characters are portrayed by Jeremy Daviesas.

PowersAbilities

The powers assigned to Jesus by Christian beliefs and sacred writings are exactly the same as those demonstrated in the television series: he is portrayed walking on water and turning water into wine, among other things (two miracles recorded in the New Testament). When it comes to the television series, one of Jesus’ most distinguishing characteristics is his capacity to live in numerous forms of himself at once. As Mr. Wednesday explains to Shadow, there is a Jesus Christ for “every religion, branch, and denomination.” Each version depicts the way a culture or an ethnicity portrays or believes in Jesus.

They have the same abilities as the original Jesus Christ, including the ability to be killed and resurrected (as the Mexican Jesus presence inCome to Jesusdespite having been killed inA Murder of Godsdemonstrates), and all of the different versions of Jesus Christ share a halo around their heads, which takes the form of a glowing aura of holy light.

Notes and trivia

  • Jesus is the son of the Christian God
  • Despite the fact that Jesus is anOld God, he is still doing fairly well because to his reputation as a currently revered person, with millions of believers offering prayers in his name. Unlike many of his fellowOld Gods, such as Mr Wednesday and Bilquis, who have lost the majority of their worship and, as a result, their power, Mr Wednesday and Bilquis have gained a resurgence in popularity. It was revealed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green that they “love” Jesus, and that they intended to portray him in the program as the kindest and sweetest guy who ever lived
