Why Is The Blood Of Jesus So Important?

4 Benefits of the Blood of Jesus — David Hernandez Ministries

  1. The blood of Jesus possesses tremendous power.
  2. For my part, I believe it is past time for the Church to begin talking about the blood of Jesus once more, and it is past time for the rest of the world to understand what it means to be cleansed in Jesus’ blood.
  3. The blood of Jesus has no expiration date.
  4. The whole life of God is contained inside it.

What is divine is filled with a sense of purpose, and the blood of Jesus serves the same purpose. The precious blood of the Lamb, sacrificed for the atonement of our sins, does more than simply the purification of sins – while the cleansing of sins is a great accomplishment in and of itself – it accomplishes much more. The only way for us to enjoy all of the benefits of the blood is by faith, since faith is the means by which we enter into the New Covenant with God.

In the same way that Abraham entered into a covenant with God by faith, we too enter into a new covenant with God through faith.Abraham was the foundation of our Jewish country in the traditional sense of the term. What did he learn about being reconciled with God as a result of his experience? If his good acts had resulted in his being accepted by God, he would have had something to be proud of.

  1. However, that was not God’s plan.
  2. After all, according to the Scriptures, ″Abraham believed God, and God recognized him as righteous as a result of his faith.″ – Romans 4:1-31 (NASB).
  3. Protection is provided by the blood.
  4. As the Passover Lamb, Christ is referred to as ″our Savior.″ Removing this evil individual from your midst can help you to get rid of the old ″yeast.″ Then you will be like a fresh batch of bread that hasn’t been fermented, which is exactly what you truly are.

Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been offered up as a sacrifice on our behalf.1 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV) When the angel of death visited Egypt on the night of Passover, Pharaoh stubbornly refused to free the Jewish people, God’s specifically designated nation, from slavery. It was on this night that the commemoration of the Passover was first observed.Because of Pharaoh’s intransigence, the first-born son of every Egyptian household met his death as a result.

  1. God, on the other hand, offered particular protection for His chosen people.
  2. When God told the Israelites to put blood around the doorways of their dwellings, the Israelites did as he said.
  3. As soon as the angel of death saw the blood of the lamb, he would flee the scene, leaving the firstborn and the rest of the family unscathed.
  4. Then Moses gathered all of Israel’s elders together and instructed them to ″go, select a lamb or young goat for each of your households, and slay the Passover animal.″ Drain the blood into a collection container.
  1. Once you’ve done that, take your bundle of hyssop branches and dip it in the blood.
  2. Brush the hyssop on the tops and sides of the doorframes of your dwellings to make them look more inviting.
  3. No one is permitted to leave the building until the next morning.
  4. Due to the fact that the Lord will pass across this area to strike down the Egyptians However, if the Lord notices the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe, he will pass over your house and not enter.
  5. He will not allow his death angel to enter your home and strike you down.
  6. He is a strong man.
  • – Exodus 12:21-23, the book of Protection for you and your family is provided by the blood of Jesus on the cross.
  • This does not rule out the possibility of anything unpleasant happening to you in the future.
  • It simply means that when you live in obedience, nothing outside of God’s will has the ability to affect you.
  • In order to stay beneath the blood, the Children of Israel were told to remain in their own houses.
  • We are protected by the Almighty as long as we remain under the bloodline.
  • 2.

Authority and deliverance are brought forth through the blood. And they have overcome him through the blood of the Lamb and the testimony of the saints. And they did not cherish their lives to the point that they were terrified of dying.- The Book of Revelation 12:11 The ″him″ alluded to in the preceding verse is Satan, often known as ″The Adversary.″ We have utterly defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the testimony of the saints.

What exactly does this mean?I appreciate the way this man of God said it: ″We conquer Satan when we personally witness to what the Word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us,″ he said.Derek Prince is the author of this piece.Jesus purchased our authority and deliverance with the blood of His sacrifice.Addictions are broken, spiritual bonds are broken, and the work of the enemy is subdued by the blood.

Our authority over and deliverance from demonic power are exercised when we testify of the Word and of the blood, and this is done by faith. The blood of Jesus has the power to undo whatever the adversary has done.3.The Blood is a source of healing Of fact, the blood of Jesus was also used to pay for your recovery.Nevertheless, he was wounded for our trespasses, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was laid on him, and it is by his stripes that we have been healed.- Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) As a matter of fact, forgiveness and healing are discussed together in the same sentence.

  • All that I am should give thanks to the Lord, and I should never forget the excellent things he has done for me.
  • He forgives me of all my sins and heals me of all my afflictions.
  • – Psalm 103:2–3, NASB When it comes to healing diseases, the same Jesus who forgave sins also heals them.
  • Take hold of this healing promise via your faith.
  • 4.
  • The blood provides mental tranquility.

In the midst of contemplating on the following scripture, the Holy Spirit revealed something quite profound to me: The soldiers fashioned a crown of thorns for him and slung it over his shoulders, as well as a purple robe around him.– John 19:2 (KJV) As we all know, Jesus was crowned with thorns on the cross. He was bleeding profusely from the top of His head.

  • Even though the troops appeared to be ridiculing the Lord, they were actually performing a prophetic action.
  • Whilst contemplating the Lord being crowned with thorns, the Holy Spirit brought my attention to this verse: ″For unto us is born a son, and to us is he given.″ His shoulders will bear the weight of the administration.
  • Also, he will be known as: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, and other such titles as well.
  • The Bible says in Isaiah 9:6 Then I received a message from the Holy Spirit.

″You see, it was with the crown of thorns that Jesus was crowned as the Prince of Peace,″ he said further.Because the blood of Jesus cleanses the conscience, we can have peace of mind as a result of it.Instead than simply cleansing the sin, it also removes the power of the memory of the sin.

It allows us to be at peace with God.Consequently, because we have been made right in God’s eyes by faith, we have peace with God as a result of what Jesus Christ, our Lord, has accomplished for us.– Romans 5:1 (New International Version) In the same way, the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit gave Himself without blemish to God, will purify your conscience from dead deeds in order that you may serve the live God, according to Hebrews 9:14.ARE YOU A FAN OF DAVID’S WEEKLY BLOG?CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR IT TO BE SENT TO YOU VIA EMAIL.

12 Reasons Why the Blood of Jesus Christ Is All-Important

  1. Blood is seen as both a symbol and a source of life in the Bible.
  2. ″For the life of every thing is its blood: the blood of every creature is its life,″ says Leviticus 17:14.
  3. (ESV) In the Old Testament, the theme of blood is prominent.
  4. According to Exodus 12:1-13, the blood of a lamb was smeared over the top and sides of each door frame as a symbol that death had already occurred, allowing the Angel of Death to walk over the threshold.

On the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to perform a blood sacrifice in order to atone for the sins of the congregation. It was necessary to sprinkle the altar with the blood of both a bull and a goat. The life of the animal was poured out, and it was offered in exchange for the life of the human.

During the ceremony at Mount Sinai, when God established a covenant with his people, Moses took the blood of oxen and divided it in two, placing half on the altar and the other on the people.(Exodus 24:6-8; 24:9-10)

The Blood of Jesus Christ

  1. Because of its connection to life, blood is seen as the ultimate sacrifice offered to God.
  2. In order to maintain God’s righteousness and justice, sin must be punished.
  3. The sole punishment or payment for sin is eternal death, and this is the only payment available.
  4. The sacrifice of an animal, or even our own death, is insufficient to atone for our sinfulness.

Atonement necessitates the offering of a faultless, spotless sacrifice in the exact correct manner. When Jesus Christ, the one and only flawless God-man, came to earth, he came to give the one pure, complete, and eternal sacrifice to atone for our sins.It is brilliantly explained in Hebrews chapters 8-10 how Christ came to be the everlasting High Priest, entering heaven (the Holy of Holies) once and for all, not through the blood of sacrificial animals, but by his own precious blood shed on the cross.

Christ gave his life as the ultimate atoning sacrifice for our sins as well as the sins of the entire world to atone for our sins.As a result, the blood of Jesus Christ serves as the basis for God’s new covenant of grace, which is contained in the New Testament. The following is what Jesus said to his followers at the Last Supper: ″This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in my blood.″ (Luke 22:20, English Standard Version) The valuable and powerful essence of Jesus Christ’s blood is expressed in well-known hymns and spiritual songs.Let’s have a look at the Bible right now to confirm its enormous relevance.

The Blood of Jesus Has Power To:

  1. Redeem us from our sins According to the riches of his grace, we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of our sins, and eternal life in him…
  2. Paul writes in Ephesians 1:7 that he entered the Most Holy Place once and for all with his own blood, not the blood of goats and calves, and therefore guaranteed our salvation for all eternity.
  3. (Hebrews 9:12, New Living Translation) Reconcile us with the Almighty.
  4. Because God offered Jesus as a sacrifice to atone for our sins.

Individuals are made straight with God when they accept that Jesus sacrificed his life by spilling his blood on the cross.(Romans 3:25 New Living Translation) Please pay our ransom.Because you are aware that God paid a price to redeem you from the meaningless existence you inherited from your ancestors, you are grateful.

And the ransom he paid was not just a simple sum of money in gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the blameless and spotless Lamb of God, that was spilled on the cross.According to the New International Version of 1 Peter 1:18-19, they sung a new song, saying, ″You are worthy of taking the scroll and opening its seals because you were murdered, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and country…(Revelation 5:9, English Standard Version) Sin must be washed away.

  1. In contrast, if we are living in the light, just as God is in the light, we are able to enjoy communion with one another and are cleansed of all sin by the blood of Jesus, God’s Son.
  2. (1 John 1:7, New Living Translation) Please forgive us.
  3. Indeed, according the law, practically everything is cleaned via the spilling of blood, and there is no remission of sins without the loss of blood.
  4. Free ourselves…

and ourselves from the clutches of Jesus Christ. As the loyal witness to these occurrences, he is also the first to rise from the grave, and he reigns over all of the monarchs of the world as their ruler. All honor and glory go to the One who loves us and has set us free from our sins by spilling his blood on our behalf.(Revelation 1:5, New Living Translation) Justify your position.

  1. As a result, we have now been justified by his blood, and we will be rescued even more by his blood from the wrath of God in the future.
  2. (Romans 5:9, English Standard Version) We must purify our guilty consciences.
  3. People’s bodies might be cleansed of ritual impurity using the blood of goats and bulls, as well as the ashes of a young cow, according to the ancient method.
  4. Consider how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful acts, allowing us to worship the real God in the presence of others.
  1. Because Christ sacrificed himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins via the power of the everlasting Spirit, we may have peace with God.
  2. (Hebrews 9:13-14, New Living Translation) Please cleanse us.
  3. As a result, Jesus likewise suffered outside the gate in order to purify the people by shedding his blood on their behalf.
  4. (Hebrews 13:12, English Standard Version) Make a pathway for God’s presence.
  5. Your union with Christ Jesus, however, has taken place.
  6. You were once separated from God, but now you have been reconciled to him through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
  • (Ephesians 2:13, New Living Translation) As a result, dear brothers and sisters, we have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place in heaven because of the blood of Jesus.
  • Give us peace, says the Bible (Hebrews 10:19 NLT).
  • In other words, God in all of his fullness was happy to dwell in Christ, and it was through him that God brought everything back into harmony with himself.
  • By the blood of Christ shed on the cross, he was able to make peace with everything in heaven and on earth.
  • Colossians 1:19-20, New Living Translation Overcome the adversary And they overcame him through the blood of the Lamb and the testimony of their lives, and they did not love their lives to the point of dying.
  • (Revelation 12:11, New King James Version)

The blood of Jesus. Why is it so important?

  1. There aren’t many individuals who are willing to speak about Jesus’ blood.
  2. 427 times throughout the Bible, this word is referenced.
  3. From the very first book of the Bible all the way to the very final book.
  4. Your whole connection with God is encapsulated inside the beautiful blood of Christ.

″And keep in mind that your heavenly Father, to whom you pray, judges all people equally.″ 1 Peter 1:17-21 reads, ″And remember that your heavenly Father, to whom you pray, has no favorites when he judges.″ As a result, you should treat him with reverence and respect until you reach heaven. He will judge you with complete justice for all you do, so behave in reverent dread of him from now on.You are well aware that God paid a ransom to deliver you from the impossible route to heaven that your forefathers attempted to travel, and that the price was not simply money or silver as you are well aware.

But he paid for you with the priceless blood of Christ, the innocent and spotless Lamb of God, who paid the price for your sin.God picked him for this purpose long before the world was created, but it was only lately that he was brought into the public eye, in these final days, to be a benefit to you and the world. It is because of this that you may place your faith in the God who resurrected Christ from the grave and gave him great glory. He is the only one in whom you may place your trust and hope.″ Jesus did not come as a result of chance; rather, He came as a part of God’s grand plan to rescue you and me.

Why is the blood of Jesus so important

  1. Specifically, Leviticus 17:11 states that – ″For, as I have said to you before, the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given you the blood to sprinkle on the altar as an atonement for your souls; it is the blood that atones since it is the life.″ Our bodies are like corpses when they are not supplied with blood.
  2. It doesn’t have any life in it.
  3. When you take the blood of Jesus out of the Bible, it becomes nothing more than a book of history, literature, and historical events.
  4. Even from the beginning of the Bible, when Adam and Eve sinned against God and acknowledged what they had done, God warned them of the repercussions of their actions and clothed them with skins to conceal their nakedness.

Because the skins were from an animal, it indicated that the animal had to die and that blood had to be spilt to atone for their crimes.Blood has played a significant role in the Bible’s history since its inception. The shedding of blood was not only how God dealt with the transgressions of Adam and Eve; it was also how God preserved his children during the final plague in Exodus by instructing them to apply the blood of an immaculate male lamb to their door post.

The angel of death passed by every house where the blood had been put to the doorposts, but those dwellings where the blood had not been smeared watched the firstborn in each family perish in their own home. All of the sacrifices made in the old testament foreshadowed what was to come in the new testament. However, although the Bible states that the blood of animals cannot remove sin, it was a prophecy of an ultimate sacrifice that would remove the sins of all people on the entire planet.God is pure and righteous.

  1. God is light, and there is no darkness in His presence.
  2. God has been showing us throughout the ancient testament that the cost of sin is death, and that blood must be shed in order to be forgiven of our sins.
  3. God has made it obvious that He is holy, and that sin will result in severe punishment.
  4. It needs the loss of blood and the giving of one’s life in order for sin to be dealt with.

A same theme ran through the whole Old Testament’s sacrifice system: God is holy, and sin must be condemned by God, and in order for sin to be judged, there must be death, which entails the shedding of human blood. We have a brief film about the significance of the blood of Jesus that you may see on our YouTube page.

Why is the blood of Jesus so precious

  1. Jesus was and continues to be more than just a man born in Bethlehem; He was and continues to be the Son of God.
  2. Jesus came to earth to offer himself as an everlasting sacrifice for our sins.
  3. He was born of a virgin, which means He did not have an earthly father when He was born.
  4. As the result of the Holy Spirit’s conception of Him, there was no sin conveyed to Him from Adam.

In fact, Jesus was the sinless Son of God, who was sent by God the Father on a specific mission: to be the perfect, immaculate sacrifice for all of humanity’s sins on the cross. We have all sinned, and our blood has been stained by sin and wickedness throughout history.Only Jesus’ pure, precious, sinless, and holy blood may be accepted as a perfect and holy sacrifice for our sins because it is sinless and without sin.

All of the previous animal offerings served only as a prelude to the final sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, on the cross.Every single individual on the face of the earth requires the blood of Jesus to be shed in order to be forgiven of their sins. You will not be able to establish a connection with God unless you believe in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. You will perish in your sins if Jesus’ blood is not shed for you.

With the blood of Jesus, we have redemption

  1. Jesus has paid the price for you and me by pouring His blood on the cross for our sins.
  2. He paid the price for our sin so that we would no longer be forced to live as slaves to it.
  3. God the parent accepted the sacrifice of His son Jesus as a substitution for our sins on our behalf.
  4. By the blood of Jesus, we have been redeemed and have gained entrance into the presence of God.

Because of our sins, God’s wrath was set to fall on all of us, and Jesus atoned for our transgressions.Every person who sins will perish, according to the just rule of the Almighty. We are all sinners, and as a result, our souls are doomed to perish in hell.

However, because Jesus paid the penalty for our sin on the cross, we are now free to live as God’s adopted children. We were rescued by Jesus! He atoned for the sins of the world and the wrath of God.

By the blood of Jesus, we have been forgiven

  1. As the Bible says in Ephesians 1:7-8, ″His compassion toward us is so overwhelming that he has taken away all our sins through the blood of his Son, through whom we are saved; and he has rained down the riches of his grace onto us—for how well he understands us and always knows what is best for us.″ Because of what Jesus accomplished for us, we now have the opportunity to accept forgiveness from God for our sins.
  2. God forgives you, not because you simply beg him to, but because His son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross and shed his blood as atonement for your sins.
  3. As soon as you place your faith in Jesus Christ and acknowledge him as your savior and Lord, as well as your acceptance that He died on the cross for your sins, God applies the blood of Jesus Christ to you and brings you back into His presence.
  4. There is no other sacrifice that can bring you into right relationship with God save than the blood of Jesus.

When we beg God to forgive us, His forgiveness comes not because we say, ″I will do better,″ but simply because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross, which is the only basis for His forgiveness. No matter how many crimes you have done, even the most heinous of them, the blood of Jesus is ENOUGH to cleanse, purify, and rescue you because of his sacrifice on the cross.God the father sent Jesus to suffer, bleed, and die in order for Him to be able to forgive you and your sins.

Wow!Take a time to express your gratitude to God for His incredible love for you and me.

We have been justified by the blood of Jesus

  1. God is holy, and he must punish those who sin against him.
  2. He has to be honest to himself in this situation.
  3. His law states that the soul who sins will perish.
  4. God has a responsibility to uphold his own rules.

In light of the fact that we have all sinned, there is nothing to look forward to other than death and eternity apart from God.So, how does God save us while yet adhering to his own set of rules and regulations?Because God sent his Son to die on our behalf and shed his blood as atonement for our sins.

Jesus died in our place, and the penalty of his death has been imposed to us.On the cross, Jesus paid the entire payment for your sins. When you embrace Jesus as your saviour, you are now considered righteous in the eyes of God.Note: Just because Jesus has set you free from sin and has declared you righteous in God’s eyes, does not imply that you now have unrestricted permission to continue to sin.

  1. It’s important to remember that you are now God’s child, and that He will punish you if you continue to sin.
  2. God sends you his Holy Spirit in order to empower you to follow and trust in Him more fully.

The blood of Jesus sanctifies you

Sanctification is the process by which God sets you apart. This process will last until the day you die. The Holy Spirit will work in your daily to transform you into the image of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Access to the father

  1. The blood of Jesus has been applied to you, and you now have direct access to God the Father through the blood of Jesus.
  2. As a result, we should speak to our heavenly Father on a regular basis in praise and thankfulness.
  3. Pray, and allow God to love and accept you.
  4. What is the importance of the blood of Christ?, and other questions are addressed in the text.

What is the significance of the blood of Christ?

The blood of Christ is directly stated on four occasions in the New Testament, and it is discussed in several other places as well.It was in 1 Corinthians 10:16 that the apostle Paul referred to the liquid served during Communion as ″participation in the blood of Christ.″ This was where the blood of Christ depicted the agony and death that Jesus underwent as a sacrifice for our sins was portrayed.″But now, in Christ Jesus, you who were once a distance away have been brought close by the blood of Christ,″ says Ephesians 2:13.The term ″blood of Christ″ relates to Jesus’ death on the cross, which allowed access to God and the establishment of a relationship with Him.″Remember that you were at that time divided from Christ, estranged from the nation of Israel, foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope, and without God in the world,″ the preceding verse reminds us (Ephesians 2:12).In addition, Hebrews 9:13-14 expresses clearly the significance of the blood of Christ: ″For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkleing of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works in order to serve the living God?″ A comparison is made between animal sacrifice under the Mosaic Law and the sacrifice of Jesus, as well as the shedding of His blood, which resulted in His death.

  1. The Old Testament sacrifices served as a model of what Jesus’ blood, and His labor on the cross, would achieve in the end.
  2. ″…
  3. you were ransomed from the useless ways inherited from your forebears, not with perishable things such as money or gold, but with the valuable blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or stain,″ according to 1 Peter 1:18-19.
  4. Peter points us that the blood of Christ serves as a ransom or payment for our sins, making it possible for us to be saved through faith in Jesus.
  5. In addition to these verses, it is abundantly obvious that the blood of Christ shed on the cross is intended to wash us of our sins.
  6. ″But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son washes us from all sin,″ says the apostle John in First John 1:7.

The apostle Paul placed a strong emphasis on the blood of Jesus and the power it possessed.″We have now been justified by his blood,″ the Bible says in Romans 5:9.″In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,″ says Ephesians 1:7.

  1. ″In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.″ Among the things that Paul writes about in Colossians 1:19-20 is that ″all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell in him and in him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.″ When the apostle John wrote to the seven churches, he addressed them in terms of the blood of Jesus, stating, ″I welcome you in the name of the blood of Jesus.″ ″Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kingdoms on earth are all titles that have been given to him.
  2. Amen.
  3. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and transformed us into a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, may glory and dominion be forever and ever in his reign on earth ″ (Revelation 1:5-6).
  4. It is through the spilt blood of Christ that we have been redeemed, and it is also the emblem of its fulfillment.

″Indeed, under the law, practically everything is cleaned via the shedding of blood, and there is no remission of sins without the loss of blood. As a result, it was required to purify the copies of the heavenly things with these ceremonies, but it was essential to purify the heavenly things themselves with finer sacrifices than those offered in these rites.Because Christ has entered into heaven itself, not into holy sanctuaries constructed by human hands that are mere replicas of the actual things, but into heaven itself in order to appear before God on our behalf. Not only was it not possible for him to give himself repeatedly, as the high priest accesses the sacred places every year using other people’s blood, but it was also not possible since he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the beginning of time.

However, as things stand, he has appeared once and for all at the end of the centuries to atone for sin via the offering of himself ″ (Hebrews 9:22-26).Truths that are related: What was the reason for Jesus’ death? What does it imply that Jesus died in our place because of our sins? What does Jesus’ role as the Lamb of God entail?

The Power of the Blood of Jesus

″The Power of the Blood of Christ″ performs an excellent job of educating Christians to the importance of claiming Jesus’ blood and of verifying its biblical reality. This book by Andrew Murray is more vital than ever in this day and age, when the blood of Jesus is being deleted from even the most literal translation of the Bible, when the mention of the blood of Jesus is considered offensive even in the churches, to clear up any misconceptions.″The Power of the Blood of Christ″ is a gift from God for those who are prepared to accept the ways of God without squirming in their seats of power.Despite the fact that the blood of Jesus is not supernatural in any sense, it is still essential and vital to getting any benefit from God.Andrew Murray’s publications, such as ″The Power of the Blood of Christ,″ demonstrate this reality in a simple and convincing manner.A slew of other advantages are mentioned, all of which are only attainable because of the spilt blood of Jesus.

  1. This book is still considered a Christian classic, and it has a fantastic sermon on ″The Power of the Blood of Jesus.″ According to the book of Hebrews in the New Testament, ″There is no remission of sins other from the spilling of blood.″ Andrew Murray demonstrates unequivocally that this statement encompasses ALL of the advantages that accrue as a consequence of forgiveness as well.

Why Do Christians Plead The Blood Of Jesus? Explained

It is written several times in the Bible that Jesus’ blood was shed. The fulfillment of the Old Covenant occurred when Jesus died and resurrected from the dead.Death and sin have been conquered in this battle.Although the term ″Pleading the Blood of Jesus″ does not appear in the Bible, it is nonetheless often used in Christian communities today. What is the purpose of Christians pleading the blood of Jesus?A number of Christians ″pray the blood of Jesus″ because they think that if they say something in conjunction with this phrase, God will respond positively.

  1. God, on the other hand, is already at work in our lives.
  2. When praying, saying ″I plead the blood of Jesus″ does not increase the likelihood that God will grant the petition.
  3. It is critical that we grasp what it means to ″pray in the blood of Jesus.″

What Does “Plead The Blood Of Jesus” Mean?

If you were born and raised in a certain area or went to a particular church, you may or may not have heard of someone ″pleading the blood.″ This expression relates to the blood that Jesus bled when he was on the cross, which has now been used to atone for our transgressions.Pleading is the expression used to express a sincere plea to someone or something. When you declare you are ″pleading the blood,″ you are expressing your belief in Jesus’ ability to defeat Satan and his plans for the world.Because of what the Israelites were instructed to do at the Passover, the expression ″pleading the blood″ has become widely popular among people. As the tenth plague descended upon Egypt, the Israelites smeared blood on their doorposts to mark the spot where the firstborn had perished. The blood surrounding the doorposts therefore served as a protective barrier against the last plague, which struck the Israelites.

  1. The blood will serve as a sign for you at the places where you are staying.
  2. Moreover, when I see the blood, I will pass over you and no plague will befall you that would cause you to perish when I attack the Egyptian territory of Sinai.
  3. Exodus 12:13 is a biblical passage.
  4. When the Israelites followed the Lord’s instructions, they were truly shielded from harm.
  5. This has led some to conclude that this is relevant to our current situation.
  6. After the Israelites were delivered from the final plague in Egypt, they still encountered many difficult times.

God remained with them, but it was not always easy for them to endure these trials. We may have the same attitude today since God is always with us, but that does not imply that everything will always be simple.Despite the fact that many Christians use the phrase ″Pleading the blood,″ it is most generally associated with those who preach the prosperity gospel.

  1. Those who use the phrase ″pleading the blood″ in the context of the prosperity gospel understand the term ″pleading″ as a legal term, implying that a legal claim is being made.
  2. The alternative perspective is that of pleading as an appeal, which is analogous to when we approach to God in prayer with a request to grant our want.
  3. Brokenness and mess characterize the world, and it is often the brokenness and mess that draws us closer to God.
  4. We must recognize that by refusing to turn to God in despair, we are denying ourselves a considerable amount of access to God.

God wants us to call out to Him and seek Him out when we are in need of Him.When we hear David’s cries for God in the Psalms, we may see an illustration of this in the Bible. Why are you in such a state of despair, O my soul, and why are you causing such havoc within me?Keep your faith in God, for I will once again glorify him as my Savior and God.

Psalm 42:11 (KJV) In David’s songs, he expresses his dissatisfaction, but he also expresses his gratitude to God and does not forget all that God has done for him.His spirits were down.Despite this, he puts his faith in the Lord.

“Pleading The Blood” In The Bible

The term ″pleading the blood″ does not appear anywhere in the Bible. However, there are other scriptures in the Bible that speak of Jesus’ blood and His victory over death on the cross. And they have vanquished him through the blood of the Lamb and the testimony of their lives, because they did not love their lives even to the point of death.Revelation 12:11 is a passage of scripture. Many individuals read this scripture and feel a strong urge to ″plead the blood″ in order to free themselves from the devil’s grip on their lives. When they are in the middle of spiritual warfare, they are crying out for protection through the blood of Jesus.

  1. Despite the fact that we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war in accordance with the flesh.
  2. Because the weapons of our fight are not of the flesh, but have heavenly ability to overthrow strongholds, we are able to defeat them.
  3. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (New International Version) In the Bible, we learn about the ability we have in Christ to fight spiritual battle and overcome it.
  4. When we come up against the devil and the grip that he has on our life, we do not battle him with physical weapons, but rather with the armor of God, as stated in Ephesians 6:11-20, which is a spiritual armor.
  5. Prepare yourself by donning all of God’s equipment so that you might be effective in your battle against the plans of the devil.
  6. In fact, we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers ruling over this present darkness, and spiritual forces of evil ruling in the high realms, not against one another.

Paul writes in Ephesians 6:11-12, ″ When we encounter spiritual warfare in our lives, we must be watchful. If pleading the blood of Jesus when confronted with spiritual warfare in your life is beneficial to you, there is no reason to avoid using that term.If using this term would only cause you to stumble in your spiritual journey, you should avoid using it.

  1. While Satan continues to attempt to bring individuals who follow Jesus to their knees, ″pleading the blood″ might be compared to asserting that you are a Christian and that Jesus has already thwarted the efforts of the adversary via his death and resurrection.
  2. When we are engaged in spiritual battle, ″pleading the blood″ may be a powerful means of submitting to God and appealing to Him.
  3. It may be an act of submitting to God and placing our confidence in His ability to guide us even in our darkest moments of despair.
  4. Throughout the book of James, we are urged to turn our struggles over to God for His guidance.

As a result, you must submit yourself to God.If you resist the devil, he will depart from your presence.4:7 (James 4:7) In order to escape the plots of Satan in your life, all we have to do is surrender to God and reject the devil; we do not need to ″plead the blood″ in order to be safe.We know that the Holy Spirit has power in our life, and we also know that the word of God has power.

We believe that the word of God has power.God’s word is not outdated or inactive; rather, it is alive and active in our lives.Because the word of God is alive and active, it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart, and it is more powerful than any weapon created by man.Hebrews 4:12 is a verse that says This verse speaks much about the way scripture may act in our lives as well as the lives of others around us.

  • God’s message is able to discern our thoughts and to act in our hearts as a result.
  • You can discover insight and power in God’s word if you are seeking comfort or protection.
  • If you are looking for comfort or protection, you can turn to the Bible to find understanding and strength in his words.
  • Scripture is replete with verses that provide knowledge and strength, and they have the potential to have a profound impact on our lives.
  • Even if we say the phrase ″Pleading the blood of Jesus,″ it is not a magical phrase that will compel things to alter just because we say it.
  • The only way that the blood has power is because of Christ’s work on the cross.

Caution on Pleading the Blood

We must stress that there is no reference in Scripture to pleading with blood….A person pleading the blood of Jesus in one aspect of life or another does not appear in any of the examples in the Bible.Because the term ″pleading the blood″ does not appear in the Bible, many people avoid using it totally in their conversations. In addition, it is critical to remember that the words we use have significance, and that what we say matters to God.The words of one’s tongue are like deep rivers, but the spring of wisdom is like a gushing torrent of knowledge.Proverbs 18:4 (NIV) This passage demonstrates that we must choose our words carefully and with wisdom.

  1. Think before you speak, and approach what you say with a heart that is submissive and appreciative, like Jesus did.
  2. We must take into consideration the fact that this term is extremely often used by individuals who preach the prosperity gospel before we use it ourselves.
  3. While it may appear like instructors of the prosperity gospel are speaking from the Bible, many times they are not preaching the actual gospel.
  4. It is extremely vital to avoid prosperity teaching.
  5. They place greater emphasis on bodily well-being than on spiritual well-being.
  6. More information about prosperity theology, as well as tips on how to avoid it, may be found in ″Prosperity Theology: Definition, Viewpoints, and What the Bible Says.″ Pleading the blood is often seen as a way to acquire what you want: ″I plead the blood over my finances,″ ″I plead the blood over my children,″ and so on.

Despite the fact that it is vital to pray in all areas of our lives, just because we spoke it out loud or uttered the magic word does not guarantee that it will occur. In some cases, pleading the blood can be utilized in a selfish and destructive manner, especially if you believe that you have the ability to force God to grant you something by saying these words.Neither the sacrifice made on the cross nor the remission of sins that took place require God to be reminded of what has occurred.

  1. Even if life as a Christian is not always simple or faultless, it is our faith in our Lord that helps us to get through it.
  2. There is no specific saying.
  3. However, although proponents of prosperity teaching will preach on the trouble-free life that you may have by following Christ, Jesus emphasizes a life that is not only full, but also purpose-filled because of your connection with God and his call on your life.
  4. The purpose of praying is to build a connection with God, and while we can make requests of God, we trust that God ultimately knows what is best and is working for our good in the process.

The fact that we ″plead the blood″ does not ensure that God will reward us financially; the words themselves have no particular power in this regard.Prayers will not become more special because of the words or phrases that you use; God will not be more convinced because of the words or phrases that you use. When we are completely at a loss for what to say, the spirit will intercede on our behalf. In the same way, the Holy Spirit assists us when we are weak.

Because we do not know what to pray for in the way that we should, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that are too deep to put into words. In addition, he who examines hearts understands what the Spirit’s thoughts are, since the Spirit intercedes for the believers in accordance with the will of God.Romans 8:26-27 (NASB) Even though prayers at many prayer groups and churches might appear formal and formalized with fancy terms, it is not the words we use that will make our prayers more meaningful to God; he knows our hearts and what is best for us, and we can put our confidence in him to do what is best for us.God, according to the book of Romans, hears us even when we are unable to express ourselves.

  • However, rather than wishing for our wishes and needs to be met by using these words in a misguided manner, we should be praying for God’s will in our lives, certain that his plan is the greatest one available to us.
  • Pay close attention to what they are teaching in order to avoid being led astray by people who believe that if you say it with trust in these words, you will receive what you desire.
  • Do they believe that if you are suffering or not obtaining what you ask for, it is due to a lack of faith on their part?
  • This is a hazardous situation to be in because God utilizes hardship and waiting for his glory to accomplish his purposes.

The Power in the Blood of Jesus

In part, its significance can be attributed to what Jesus accomplished on the cross, which was extremely significant throughout human history. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they brought sin into the earth.Throughout the Old Testament, we witness the Israelites, God’s chosen people, offering animal sacrifices in order to atone for their previous transgressions against the Lord.Rather than their paying the price for their transgressions as they should have, a clean and immaculate animal would do so.Because of the sacrifice’s blood, those who lived in the Old Testament were able to receive temporary forgiveness for their transgressions. While a result of their hardness of heart, they were compelled to sin once more, and they fell into the same cycle of seeking forgiveness by sacrifice even as they persisted in their sinful behavior.

  1. When we get to the New Testament, everything changes when Jesus appears in the flesh on the earth for the first time.
  2. Our sins are also covered and forgiven as a result of Jesus’ suffering on the cross for us.
  3. Because Jesus was flawless, the blood he shed on the cross was sufficient to cover all sins for all time.
  4. When he arose from the grave, he declared victory over sin and death.
  5. For this is my covenant blood, which is shed for the remission of sins on behalf of many people across the world.
  6. Matthew 26:28 (KJV) There is power in the blood of Jesus because no one else could have shed his blood and died in the same way that Jesus did to cover the sins of everyone who believe in him.

Jesus’ blood reflects the freedom we have from sin, as well as the fact that we are now members of Christ’s body.As Christians, we recognize the significance of the blood of Jesus and proclaim its power because nothing else could have brought us back from the brink of death to the promise of life like Jesus did when he died.Jesus took on the characteristics of flesh and blood.

  1. He was humbled by the experience.
  2. Because he humbled himself in this way, he was able to live a flawless life on the earth and die as a sacrifice for our sins.
  3. Then He rose from the dead, victorious over sin and death, and ascended to heaven, leaving us with the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.
  4. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, the work he is doing in our lives and our redemption are made possible.

Who, despite the fact that he existed in the form of God, did not see equality with God as something to be grasped, but rather humbled himself by taking the form of a servant and being born in the likeness of humanity. And as a result of being discovered in human form, he humbled himself by becoming submissive even to the point of death, including death on a cross.Philippians 2:6-8 (New International Version) Those who believe in the Word of Faith Movement, on the other hand, are a different breed.People who think that if we declare our desires aloud, we shall obtain them.

We have already witnessed the power of Christ’s blood in our lives when we accepted Christ as our Savior and received forgiveness.Christ’s activity in our lives will continue, but it will not always be in the manner that we expect or want from God.If you are going to use the expression ″pleading the blood,″ it is critical that you approach it from a place of prayer rather than from a place of entitlement to whatever you desire. The expression ″pleading the blood of Jesus″ will not assist you in obtaining what you seek, I hope this has been made abundantly obvious.

  • Jesus is aware of our deepest wants and understands what is best for us.
  • The ability to believe that Christ’s will is flawless and to put our confidence in what He has prepared is essential if we are not to give up hope and give up trying.
  • Saying, ″I plead the blood of Jesus″ does not imply that one is seeking salvation.
  • It is a matter of personal taste or conviction.
  • Keep in mind why you are praying what you are praying at all times.
  • Inviting Christ to match your heart with His is an excellent idea.
  • You may put your faith in His character and His good and perfect will.

Blood

Because blood is a manifestation of divine life that acts within the human body, it represents life itself on a global scale. It has been constantly alluded to as possessing magical properties and as the sole sustenance available to supernatural entities, and it has also been connected with the supernatural ″Blood fraternity, blood revenge, and blood baptism are only a few of the irrational concepts that exist.Because it matches so simply to the color red, it serves as the culmination of a series that begins with sunshine (yellow) and progresses through intermediate stages to vegetable life (green) (green). This word is closely associated with passion, but it is also associated with death, battle, sacrifice (particularly sheep, hog, bull, and man), and the warding off of evil forces – ‘blood has spilled, the danger has passed’ (Arabic saying).Close linkages to guilt, particularly in the form of bloodstains.Hitler used the term ″blood″ to refer to ″race,″ ″legacy,″ and ″genetic information.″ According to the traditional theory of reproduction, menstrual blood is one of the two components that contribute to the formation of new life.″ (Biederman, page 43.) Fertility.

  1. Symbolically, blood and WINE are interchangeable; in Chinese symbolism, blood and WATER are related as complementaries, as in THE YIN AND THE YANG (the opposites of each other).
  2. The expression ″cold blood″ alludes to the absence of emotion.
  3. In the context of Christ, it depicts atonement for all mankind – ″Look, look at where Christ’s blood runs in the heavens!″ Doctor Faustus (Marlowe, Doctor Faustus, 16).

Christ’s blood was shed for the sins of man

In the book of Hebrews, chapters 9 and 22 are devoted to the subject of marriage. The question that some might ask when we talk about the New Covenant is, ″What was wrong with the Old Covenant?″ Because there was nothing ″wrong″ with the old one, it was replaced. It served as a method of pointing to and preparing for the coming of the New Covenant in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, among other things. The construction and furnishings of the tabernacle in the Old Testament were symbolic of spiritual truths and values.Every day, twice a day, the priests went inside the holy place, also known as the outer tabernacle.According to the writer of Hebrews, only the high priest was allowed to enter the ″holy place within the vail before the mercy seat.″ Despite the fact that he did this just once every year, he did not enter without the blood of his sacrifice, ″which he sacrificed both for himself and for the sins of the people.″ In his role as mediator, the high priest was expected to provide blood in atonement for his own sins; but, since Christ Jesus, our Mediator, was blameless, He did not need to offer blood in atonement for His sins.

  1. The blood He shed atoned for the sins of the entire human race.
  2. Because of Jesus, a spiritual sanctuary, the New Covenant sanctuary, has been established.
  3. In verse 11, the writer appears to be saying, ″Look beyond this world to heavenly things.″ The tabernacle described in the Old Testament was constructed with human hands, while the sanctuary described in the New Testament was ″not constructed with human hands″ or using items found on earth.
  4. The earthly tabernacle needed to be maintained due to natural wear and tear, but the ″better and more perfect tabernacle″ is everlasting and does not require maintenance.
  5. Christ Jesus was conceived in the womb of a virgin, by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, and was born into the world as a baby.
  6. Despite the fact that He was flesh and blood, Jesus was not born in the same way that other men were in this world.

Because the blood of Jesus is far greater to the blood of an animal, there is no longer a requirement for the blood of animals to be shed in our place as a sin offering.Every time the high priest entered the Holy of Holies, he was doused with animal blood, and this was repeated over and over. When Christ Jesus died, ″he entered once into the holy place, having achieved eternal redemption for us,″ according to the Bible.

  1. The ultimate and last sacrifice for our sins, Jesus is the Son of God.
  2. Nothing in the Old Testament tabernacle worship could transform a person’s heart, but under the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit works in our hearts to ″purge your conscience from dead acts in order to serve the living God.″ The testament alluded to in Scripture is a covenant, which is also known as a final will and testament in some circles.
  3. It only becomes effective when the person who created the testament passes away.
  4. ″For a testament continues to be valid after men have died,″ we read in verse 17 of the Bible.

Since the beginning of time, it has been God’s will that blood be spilt in order for sins to be forgiven.″There is no forgiveness of sins without the spilling of blood,″ the Bible states. What was the purpose of Moses’ blood-sprinkling on the tabernacle and ″all the utensils of the ministry?″ Those things, without a doubt, were not sinful. With the blood sprinkled on the tabernacle and utensils, it was proven that the connection between those items and God had been altered.

Spiritually, the blood shed by the Lord Jesus Christ has irreversibly altered our connection with God, and we are eternally grateful for this gift of grace.

Bible Gateway Exodus 12: NIV

The Book of Exodus, chapter 121 In Egypt, the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,2 ″This month is gonna be the first month for you, the first month of your year,″ the prophet says.3 Inform the entire population of Israel that on the tenth day of this month, each man is to bring a lamb for his family, one for each home, and slaughter it.4 If a home is unable to accommodate a whole lamb, they must divide one with their nearest neighbor, taking into consideration the number of individuals in the household in question. You are responsible for calculating the amount of lamb that will be required based on how much each participant will consume.5 The animals you pick must be year-old males that are free of defects, and you may choose them from either the sheep or the goat flocks.Keep them safe until the fourteenth day of the month, when they must be slaughtered at twilight by the entire population of the town of Israel.

  1. They are then to take some of the blood and apply it to the sides and tops of the doorframes of the buildings where they are eating the lambs, according to the instructions.
  2. Those who are present are to have the roast meat over an open fire, along with bitter herbs and bread cooked without yeast, on the same evening.
  3. 9 Instead of eating the flesh uncooked or boiled in water, roast it over the fire-head, legs, and internal organs until it is tender.
  4. 10 Do not leave any of it until the next morning; if any is left until the next morning, it must be burned.
  5. 11 You are to consume it in the following manner: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand.
  6. It is imperative that you eat it quickly since it is the LORD’s Passover.

12 ″On that same night, I will travel through Egypt, killing every firstborn, both human and animal, and bringing judgment on all of Egypt’s gods,″ says the prophet.I am the LORD your God.13, 14 When I see the blood, I will pass over you because it will serve as a sign that you are present in the houses where you are staying; When I strike Egypt, you will be spared the wrath of any destructive plague.

  1. 14 ″This is a day that you are to remember; you are to observe it as a festival to the LORD for all generations to come, as a perpetual ordinance for all time.″ 15 For the next seven days, you must consume bread that has not been fermented with yeast.
  2. Remove the yeast from your homes on the first day, because anyone who consumes anything containing yeast from the first day through the seventh day will be cut off from Israel.
  3. 16 Hold a sacred assembly on the first day, and another on the seventh day, to commemorate the occasion.
  4. Except for preparing food for everyone to eat on these days, you are not permitted to do any work at all on these days.

″Please observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread on this day because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt,″ says the Lord.Celebrate this day as a permanent ordinance that will be followed by future generations.18 From the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day, you must consume bread that has not been fermented with yeast during the first month.19 For the next seven days, there is no yeast to be found in your homes.

And anyone who consumes anything that contains yeast must be expelled from the community of Israel, regardless of whether he is an alien or a native-born Jew.20 Do not consume anything that contains yeast. No matter where you live, you must consume unleavened bread.21 Then Moses called together all of Israel’s elders and instructed them to ″go immediately and select the animals for your families, as well as slaughter the Passover lamb.″ a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin, and apply some of the blood to both sides of the doorframe and on the top of the doorframe.

  • Nobody among you is permitted to leave his home until the following morning.
  • The blood on the top and sides of the doorframe will be visible to the LORD as he travels through the land to strike down the Egyptians.
  • He will pass over that doorway, and he will not allow the destroyer to enter your homes and kill you.
  • 24 In order to establish a permanent ordinance for you and your descendants, please follow these instructions.
  • 25 When you finally arrive in the land that the LORD has promised to give you, you must observe this ceremony.
  • 26 And when your children ask you, `What does this ceremony mean to you?’27 then tell them, `It is the Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’″ Then the people bowed down and worshiped.
  • 28 The Israelites did just what the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron.
  • 29 At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.
  • 30 Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead.
  • 31 During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ″Up!
  • Leave my people, you and the Israelites!
  • Go, worship the LORD as you have requested.

32 Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go.And also bless me.″ 33 The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country.″For otherwise,″ they said, ″we will all die!″ 34 So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it on their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing.35 The Israelites
