Who Does Jesus Say I Am

Who Does God Say That I Am?

There are several texts in the New Testament that include biblical affirmations concerning our identity in Christ, and we have compiled a collection of such affirmations below. This is only a small sample of the numerous facts about who we have become as a result of our trust in God’s Son, but it is a powerful inventory to keep on hand from time to time for reflection. All quotations are taken from the NET Bible.

I am a child of God.

He has, on the other hand, granted the right to become God’s children to everyone who have welcomed him—those who believe in his name. (See also John 1:12).

I am a branch of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life.

My Father is the genuine vine, and I am the true vine’s gardener. I’m the vine, and you’re the branches on which I grow. The one who remains in me—and I remain in him—bears abundant fruit, because you can achieve nothing unless you remain in me (John 15:1, 5).

I am a friend of Jesus.

The term “slaves” has been dropped from my vocabulary since a slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have referred to you as friends because I have shared what I have learned from my Father with you (John 15:15).

I have been justified and redeemed.

They are, on the other hand, justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is found in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:24).

My old self was crucified with Christ, and I am no longer a slave to sin.

Knowing that our old man was crucified with him, we may be assured that the body of sin will no longer govern us, and that we will no longer be bound to sin would no longer exist (Romans 6:6).

I will not be condemned by God.

Therefore, people who believe in Jesus Christ are no longer under any condemnation whatsoever (Romans 8:1).

I have been set free from the law of sin and death.

Because the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death, you are no longer under the authority of those laws (Romans 8:2).

As a child of God, I am a fellow heir with Christ.

In addition, since we are children, we are heirs (specifically, God’s heirs as well as fellow heirs with Christ), if indeed we suffer with him in order that we may also be exalted with him (Romans 8:17).

I have been accepted by Christ.

Therefore, receive one another in the same way that Christ received you, for the glory of God (Romans 15:7).

I have been called to be a saint.

. To the church of God in Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus and have been called to be saints, as well as to all those in every area who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and our Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:2). Paul’s letter to the Philippians is also included in Ephesians 1:1 and Colossians 1:2.

In Christ Jesus, I have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

He is the reason you have a connection with Christ Jesus, who became for you God’s wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, as well as righteousness and sanctification for ourselves. (1 Corinthians 1:30).

My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me.

What part of you is unaware that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit is inside you (Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:19)?

I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with Him.

The one who is connected with the Lord, on the other hand, is one spirit with him (1 Corinthians 6:17).

God leads me in the triumph and knowledge of Christ.

Nevertheless, praise be to God, who continually leads us in triumphant procession in Christ and who makes known in every place through us the fragrance that is composed of the knowledge of him (2 Corinthians 2:14).

The hardening of my mind has been removed in Christ.

Their thoughts, on the other hand, were closed.

For even now, when people hear the reading of the old covenant, the same curtain remains./netbible2/index.php?header= book=2co chapter=3 /netbible2/index.php?header= book=2co chapter=3 It has not been eliminated since it is only through Christ that it is removed (2 Corinthians 3:14).

I am a new creature in Christ.

Accordingly, everybody who belongs to Jesus Christ has been transformed into a new creature; what was old has gone away-look, what is new has arrived (2 Corinthians 5:17)!

I have become the righteousness of God in Christ.

God caused the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would be made the righteousness of God (Rom. 5:20–23). (2 Corinthians 5:21).

I have been made one with all who are in Christ Jesus.

There is no longer a distinction between Jew and Greek, slave and free, male and female; rather, all of you are united in Christ Jesus as a community of believers (Galatians 3:28).

I am no longer a slave, but a child and an heir.

Consequently, you are no longer a slave but rather a son, and if you are a son, you are also an heir by the grace of God (Galatians 4:7).

I have been set free in Christ.

Christ has made us free in exchange for our freedom. So, maintain your resolve and refuse to be subjected to the yoke of servitude once more (Galatians 5:1).

I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has lavished upon us every spiritual blessing available in the heavenly regions through his Son Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

I am chosen, holy, and blameless before God.

Because he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, he desires for us to be spotless and pristine in his eyes, and he does this out of love for us (Ephesians 1:4).

I am redeemed and forgiven by the grace of Christ.

According to the riches of his grace, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins, and eternal life in him (Ephesians 1:7).

I have been predestined by God to obtain an inheritance.

As God’s own ownership in Christ, we have also been claimed as God’s own possession, having been predestined according to the one purpose of him who does all things according to the counsel of his own will (Ephesians 1:11).

I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) and put your faith in Christ, you were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, which was placed on your forehead (Ephesians 1:13).

Because of God’s mercy and love, I have been made alive with Christ.

But God, being rich in compassion, and because of the great love with which he loved us, even while we were dead in our sins, raised us up with Christ, and it is by grace that we are saved (Ephesians 2:4-5)!

I am seated in the heavenly places with Christ.

. And in Christ Jesus, he brought us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 2:6).

I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works.

After all, we are God’s handiwork, having been made in Christ Jesus for good works, which God planned in advance so that we may perform them (Ephesians 2:10).

I have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ.

But now, by the blood of Christ, you who were once far away have been brought close by the love of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).

I am a member of Christ’s body and a partaker of His promise.

They are coheirs with Christ, comembers of the body, and coparticipants in the promise that has been made to them through Christ (Ephesians 3:6). (See also Ephesians 5:30 for further information.)

I have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Christ.

[.] In him we have confidence and bravery in our approach to God as a result of Christ’s fidelity (Ephesians 3:12).

My new self is righteous and holy.

. Put on the new man, who has been made in God’s image—in righteousness and holiness that comes from the knowledge of the truth (Ephesians 4:24).

I was formerly darkness, but now I am light in the Lord.

As a result, you were once darkness, but you have now become light/netbible2/index.php?header= book=eph chapter=5 There is light in the Lord.

Children of the light should walk as such (Ephesians 5:8).

I am a citizen of heaven.

However, our citizenship is in heaven, and we are also looking forward to the arrival of a rescuer from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 3:20).

The peace of God guards my heart and mind.

As a result, the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds as you follow Christ (Philippians 4:7).

God supplies all my needs.

And my God will provide for all of your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus, which will beyond all of your expectations (Philippians 4:19).

I have been made complete in Christ.

. You have been filled with him, who is the supreme ruler and authority in the universe (Colossians 2:10).

I have been raised up with Christ.

As a result, if you have been raised with Christ, continue to seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right side of the Father (Colossians 3:1).

My life is hidden with Christ in God.

. Because you have died, your life has been hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).

Christ is my life, and I will be revealed with Him in glory.

When Christ (who is your life) arrives, you will be revealed with him in glory, and you will be like him (Colossians 3:4).

I have been chosen of God, and I am holy and beloved.

As a result, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly beloved, wrap yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. (Colossians 3:12).

God loves me and has chosen me.

We are aware, brothers and sisters who are beloved by God, that he has selected you. (1 Thessalonians 1:4). Because the more we accept these biblical realities regarding our identity in Christ, we will be able to be more secure, appreciative, and completely confident in our lives in this world.

Who Does God Say I Am?

There are several biblical affirmations regarding our identity in Christ that are taken from a few selected texts in the New Testament that are included in the list below. This is only a small sample of the numerous facts about who we have become as a result of our trust in God’s Son, but it is a powerful inventory to keep on hand from time to time for reflection.

I am a child of God.

Those who received Him, on the other hand, were given the authority to become children of God, including those who just believe in His name. (See John 1:12 for more information.)

I am a branch of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life.

In Me, My Father is the actual vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. I am the vine, and you are the branches; the one who abides with Me and I with him is the one who bears abundant fruit; for apart from Me, you can accomplish nothing. (See also John 15:1, 5)

I am a friend of Jesus.

I no longer refer to you as slaves, because a slave has no understanding of what his owner is doing; instead, I refer to you as friends, since I have made known to you all that I have learned from My Father through the Holy Spirit. (See also John 15:15.)

I have been justified and redeemed.

. being justified as a gift by His grace, as a result of the redemption that is found in Christ Jesus; and (See also Romans 3:24.)

I will not be condemned by God.

There is thus no longer any condemnation for those who believe in Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Romans 8:1 that

I have been set free from the law of sin and death.

Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death, you are no longer under the authority of those laws. (See Romans 8:2-3)

As a child of God, I am a fellow heir with Christ.

As children, we become heirs as well, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer beside Him in order to be exalted alongside Him. (See also Romans 8:17.)

I have been accepted by Christ.

In order to honor God, we must accept one another in the same way that Christ accepted us to his glory. (See also Romans 15:7)

I have been called to be a saint.

To the church of God at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, and to everyone else who, in every area, calls on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours, we extend our greetings and best wishes. Ephesians 1:1, Philippians 1:1, and Colossians 1:2 are examples of texts where this is true.

In Christ Jesus, I have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

But it is by His work that you have come to be in Christ Jesus, who has become to us knowledge from God, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. The first chapter of 1 Corinthians is titled

My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me.

What part of you isn’t aware that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God resides inside your being? You may not be aware that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, who is inside you and whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own person. (See 1 Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19 for examples.)

I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with Him.

The one who unites himself to the Lord, on the other hand, becomes one spirit with Him. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:17 that

God leads me in the triumph and knowledge of Christ.

But praise be to God, who constantly guides us to victory in Christ and expresses through us the delicious perfume of the knowledge of Him in every location, no matter how difficult the situation may seem. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 2:14 that

The hardening of my mind has been removed in Christ.

However, their hearts were hardened since, even now, when the old covenant is read, the same curtain remains unlifted because it has been removed in Christ. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3:14 that

I am a new creature in Christ.

So that anybody who believes in Christ is transformed into a new creature; the old things have gone away, and behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (New International Version)

I have become the righteousness of God in Christ.

He caused Him, who was without sin, to be sin on our behalf, so that we may be made the righteousness of God in Him through faith in Him. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21 that

I have been made one with all who are in Christ Jesus.

As a result of our predestination according to His purpose, we have also received an inheritance through Him, who works all things according to the counsel of His will. (10b–11) (Ephesians 1:10b–11)

I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Having heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—and having also believed—you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise after you were sealed in Him by the message of truth. (See also Ephesians 1:13)

Because of God’s mercy and love, I have been made alive with Christ.

But because of God’s great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our sins, God, who is rich in compassion, raised us up with Christ and made us one with Him (by grace you have been saved). Ephesians 2:4-5 is a passage that states that

I am seated in the heavenly places with Christ.

and raised us up with Him, putting us in His right hand as co-heirs with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus Paul writes in Ephesians 2:6 that

I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works.

For we are God’s handiwork, made in Christ Jesus for good works, which God planned in advance so that we would be able to walk in them when we do. Paul writes in Ephesians 2:10 that

I have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ.

But now, in Christ Jesus, you who were once a long way away have been brought close by the blood of Jesus. Paul writes in Ephesians 2:13 that

I am a citizen of heaven.

Because our citizenship is in heaven, where we are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul writes in Philippians 3:20 that

The peace of God guards my heart and mind.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds as you trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:7 (Philippians 4:17)

Who does God say I am?

QuestionAnswer Many of us spend a lot of our time worrying about what other people are thinking of us. We all want to be respected, loved, and appreciated, and we all want to be valued. When God’s perspective of us is the only one that truly matters, why should we base our identity and feeling of self-worth on the perceptions of other imperfect creatures. When it comes to our identity, the most crucial question we can ask is: Who does God say I am? The Bible is the sole source of trustworthy information on who we are in Christ and what God thinks of those of us who have been born again.

.and that is exactly what we are!” The Bible says in 1 John 3:16.

God declares that I have been chosen and adopted into His family via Jesus Christ, and that I will be His child forever: “Even before the creation of the world, God loved us and selected us in Christ to be holy and without blame in his sight.” (Ephesians 1:4) In advance, God made the decision to adopt us into his own family by drawing us to himself via the person of Jesus Christ.

  1. And thus we give thanks to God for the lavish generosity he has shown toward us, who are members of his precious Son” (Ephesians 1:4–6, NLT; see also 1 Thessalonians 1:4 and 2:13).
  2. “For we are God’s masterpiece,” he says of me, referring to me as Hisworkmanship.
  3. We are not a collection of haphazard lumps of clay.
  4. God created us in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26–27; 5:1; 9:6; James 3:9), and we are in His image and likeness.
  5. God considers us so important that He purchased us with the precious blood of His Son, Jesus Christ: “For you know that God paid a ransom to free you from the empty existence you inherited from your ancestors,” says the Bible.
  6. God’s perfect Lamb, the innocent and impenetrable Lamb of God, shed his precious blood for us.” (1 Peter 1:18–19, New Living Translation).
  7. “He is so abundant in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins” (Ephesians 1:7, NLT; see also Galatians 5:1; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 John 1:9).
See also:  Where Exactly Was Jesus Christ Crucified?

We are given a completely new identity and a completely new existence as a result of His salvation: “This implies that everybody who belongs to Christ has been transformed into a new person.” “The old life has come to an end; a new life is beginning!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, New International Version; see also Ephesians 4:24).

  1. (Ephesians 2:19; Philippians 4:21).
  2. God communicates His heart with us through a connection with Jesus: “I no longer refer to you as servants, since a servant does not understand his master’s business.
  3. As God’s ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20; Ephesians 6:20), his light in the darkness, and his witness to the world (Matthew 5:13–16; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 5:8), I am called to be His witness to the world.
  4. “And this is God’s plan: Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the wealth acquired by God’s children,” God says of me.
  5. God declares that I am an heir to His Kingdom and His glory (Galatians 4:7; Ephesians 1:11; Romans 8:17) because I am united with Christ in His life, death, resurrection, and glorification (John 15:1–10; Romans 6:4-6; Ephesians 2:6).
  6. ‘God has shown his tremendous love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were yet sinners,’ declares the Bible.
  7. (It is only because of God’s mercy that you have been rescued!) ” (Ephesians 2:4–5, New Living Translation).

When we make Jesus Christ the center of our life, we are changed into the person God says we are: “So that all of us who have had the veil lifted might see and reflect the glory of the Lord.” And the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his beautiful image, making us more and more like him as we grow in our knowledge of him” (2 Corinthians 3:18, NLT; see also Romans 8:29; 12:2; Philippians 1:6; Ephesians 4:15).

50 Important Bible Verses About Who I Am In Christ (Powerful)

We lose sight of who we are in Christ when we are surrounded by a cacophony of voices in our heads that are at conflict with our identity. Daily, I must tell myself that my identity is not defined by my failures, my problems, my humiliating moments or those discouraging negative voices in my brain. I must also remember myself that my identity is not defined by my accomplishments. In order to get Christians to lose sight of their actual identity, Satan is continually battling against them. God is always pouring out His grace on us and reminding us of who we are in His sight and heart.

Philippians 2:13 (New International Version) “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to do according to his good pleasure,” says Paul.

Who Does God Say I Am?

It is normal for human nature to be devoured by itself. We twist our necks for acceptance and engage in a frenzied practice of comparison, without the outwardly inverted viewpoint necessary to grasp who we truly are within ourselves. We begin to doubt our true selves – what we are worth and what we are meant to do in this world. The prerequisites for our identity can be found in our priorities as they relate to God. By connecting our everyday lives with biblical truth, we may program our internal GPS to navigate us in the direction of His plan.

God’s love for us is highlighted in the narrative of the Prodigal Sons.

Despite the fact that He knew we would always fall short, He chose to love us unconditionally.

After the prodigal returns, Greg Morse describes it beautifully: “The wayward son braces himself for a smack but instead receives an embrace.” God declares that we are:

  • .loved (John 3:16)
  • .His (1 John 3:1)
  • .worthy (Zephaniah 3:17)
  • .purposed (Jeremiah 29:11)

Why Does it Matter What God Says of Me?

What does the Bible teach about God, and how does it relate to us? We must first comprehend who God is before we can comprehend who we are, according to Him. The narrative of the Prodigal Son demonstrates God’s enormous love for us, as well as our ability to choose to accept it. In spite of the fact that he knows who we are, our Father and Creator wishes a true and personal connection with us. In Exodus 3:13-15, God declares three facts about Himself that are worth noting:

  • “I Am Who I Am” is a statement of self-identification. (3:14a)
  • “I Am has sent me to you” (3:14b)
  • “This is my name forever” (3:14c)
  • “I Am has sent me to you” (3:14d)
  • “I Am has sent me to you” (3:14e)
  • “I Am has sent me to you” (3:14f)
  • “I Am has sent me to you” (3:14 (3:15)

God is not in need of anything from us. He is all-knowing and all-powerful, and He is in complete command of the universe. Theologian John Piper remarked, “There is nothing more fundamental and nothing more ultimate than the reality that God exists.” Love, justice, righteousness, forgiveness, and wisdom are all characteristics that contribute to His persona. Once we have come to terms with who He is, the proclamation of His spoken name bears the appropriate amount of weight and importance. “It’s virtually usually rendered ‘LORD’ (all capitals) in the English Bible,” John Piper asserted clearly.

Who Am I According to God’s Word?

What does the Bible have to say about my true self? God, who spoke the universe into being, wishes to communicate with us. We are a part of the tapestry that He has woven for all of creation. We can understand our intrinsic need for something greater than ourselves since we were created in His likeness. We were created to seek and experience life in contact with God, and we have been called to fulfill a specific mission. His will for our lives reflects the loving Father that He is. He is all-knowing, just, and perfect, and His will for our lives reflects the loving Father that He is.

  1. Perhaps the greatest way to convey how God views us is to use the word “redeemed.” The writer Dave Burchett stated that redemption “is the fact I have to remind myself of on an almost daily basis.
  2. Despite this, I live as if my self-effort is necessary to make up for past challenges and attempts, which is not the case.
  3. Day after day, as he embraced the warmth of his house and the restoration of his family, he was sure to recall the destiny he had deserved.
  4. The payment of a ransom results in the release of a prisoner from prison.
  5. Who are we in the sight of God?
  6. in this now.
  7. Anything and everything may be used to disprove His flawless sacrifice for our everlasting freedom.

What Does God Think about Me?

“I have called you by name; you are mine,” we are told in Isaiah 43:1 b. God made us in the same way a potter shapes clay (The NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible). God has not only created us, but He has also developed us and called us to serve Him in specific ways that are customized to each individual’s unique circumstances. In the eyes of man, this is impossible; yet in the eyes of God, anything is possible.” (Matthew 19:25-26; Mark 10:25-26) According to the context of the preceding verse, the word “man” in the original Greek language denotes the distinction between God and human beings.

  • It differentiates us as human beings, but it also distinguishes us from plants and animals, as well as from God and Christ and as well as from angels. He is speaking particularly to who WE are and to the vulnerabilities that we have that cause us to sin
  • The manner in which Jesus addressed man evokes a sense of scorn or contemptuous pity, which is indicative of our underappreciated gift of His grace. We consciously choose to sin. It is not by chance that we are here, and God does not feel sorry for us because of our proclivity toward sin. The NASB version states that “man,” or more accurately, “people,” are two-fold in nature: body and spirit. He forgives us and loves us despite our shortcomings. When it comes to conforming to God’s nature, both the corrupt and the real Christian do so
  • Because of the impossibility, we are forced to confront our predetermined fate in eternity if Christ’s sacrifice had not occurred. Despite the fact that we are helpless to alter who we are, redemption provides us with the option to be grafted into His strength and surrender our will for His way

According to John Rinehart’s book, “What God Thinks About You,” we are important, new, Spirit-filled, undergoing transformation, and representatives of God’s character. “Remember who created you, O Jacob,” the VOICE translation of Isaiah 43:1 wonderfully reminds us: “Remember who created you, O Jacob.” O Israel, who fashioned your personality?

As you can see, you have nothing to be afraid about. I, the one who created you, will return you to me. “I have chosen you and declared you to be Mine.” A love that is unattainable for man, but not for God.

Who Am I in Jesus Christ?

I am made possible via Jesus Christ. To be more specific, I am powerful, tremendous, strong, and competent. “Then who can be saved in the whole world?” the disciples questioned Jesus. According to the NIV Study Bible Notes, “salvation is entirely the work of God.” Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-9, “God rescued you by his grace when you put your faith in him. It is a gift from God, and you have no right to claim credit for it. As a result, none of us can take credit for salvation because it is not a reward for the excellent things we have done.” According to an excerpt from John Rinehard’s book, “What God Thinks About You,” the reality of who we are in Jesus Christ is brought into sharper focus through biblical clarity: “You are no longer darkness, but light in my Son,” the Father says to you.

  1. If you are the light of the world, you are a city perched on a mountain (Matthew 5:14).
  2. You are the one I’ve picked (Revelation 17:14).
  3. You are both a witness and an employee (Acts 1:8;Ephesians 2:10).
  4. You have a bright future ahead of you (Romans 8:18).
  5. In 2 Corinthians 5:20, the Bible says, “You are an ambassador for my Son.”

How Can God Love Me?

God is able to love us because He is Love Himself. In order for them to be one as we are one – I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to total oneness, I have given them the glory you gave me. After then, the entire world will know that you sent me and that you have loved them just as much as you have loved me” (John 17:22-23). John, Jesus’ closest buddy on this planet, may have known more than anybody else who we are and what God says about us. He watched Jesus’ life, which was lived out in perfect love, firsthand.

“The love of God does not save us from pain and death.

What Does God See When He Looks at Me?

“My sheep are attentive to my voice; I recognize them and they follow me. “I grant them eternal life, and they will never expire; no one will ever be able to take them from my grasp” (John 10:27-28). God sees the ideal creation He designed, but he also recognizes that humans will always fall short of it. As we travel the path of life in pursuit of Christ, He will assist us in seeing our real reflection via our daily pursuit of His Word, which we will do through prayer and meditation. The Bible is the Word of God that is alive and active today.

God purposely places individuals in our lives who will love us and vice versa, so that we may love them back.

It is possible to learn a great deal about who God sees when He looks at us by looking at the people He has placed in our life. As Jesus said, “By your love for one another, everyone will know that you are my followers” (John 13:35).

10 Bible Verses about Who God Says I am

I know my sheep, and they know my voice. They follow me everywhere I go.” The life I give them is eternal, and they will never expire; no one will ever be able to take them from my grasp” (John 10:27-28). God sees the magnificent creation He designed, but he also recognizes that we will always fall short of that perfection in our actions. During our journey through life in pursuit of Christ, He will assist us in seeing our real reflection by encouraging us to read and study His Word on a regular basis.

Except for spending time with the Creator, there is no shortcut to wisdom.

It is possible to learn a great deal about who God sees when He looks at us simply by looking at the people He has placed around us.

” (John 13:35).

We Are Who God Says We Are

We are not defined by the faults that threaten to define us, but rather by the biblical truth that demonstrates our true value. We have been made by Love to love in the same way that we walk with Love. We are here to spread the word about Him. His aim is to accompany us on our journey, rewarding us and showering us with more than we could ever ask or dream for ourselves and our families. Only by coming near to Him and prioritizing our lives in such a way that we put Him first will we be able to perceive the layers of who we are from His perspective.

Jesus Specifically Said, “I am God”

As a skeptic, I was inclined to accept Jesus as a “good man” if he came across as such. The wise sage from the past who was misinterpreted and mythicized by leaders of a movement who were either misguided or deceitful, you know the one I’m talking about. Jesus may have been a kind person and a terrific teacher, but did he ever assert his right to be called the Son of God? Friends who were more knowledgeable about the Gospels than I was told me that Jesus never claimed to be God in any of the New Testament narratives, and I agreed with them.

Don’t get me wrong, Jesus didn’t use those precise words in that context.

When God came to Moses in the burning bush for the first time, Moses was skilled enough to inquire of God about His identity.

What you are supposed to tell the Israelites is, “‘I AM has sent me to you.'” Exodus 3:14 explains how to be a good person.

After that, there was Jesus.

Take a look at how He responded: “I am not possessed by a demon,” Jesus stated emphatically.

“I tell you the truth, if someone follows through on my promise, he will never die.” “Now we know that you are afflicted by demons!” screamed the congregation of Jews.

Are you more powerful than our ancestor Abraham?

“What do you think you’re doing here?” As Jesus said, “If I exalt myself, then my glory is worthless.” My Father, whom you claim to be your God, is the one who gives me honor and glory.

You may call me a liar, but I do know him and he is true to his word; otherwise, you would be right.

During his ministry, Jesus made two noteworthy comments.

But, perhaps more significantly, Jesus addressed himself with the ancient appellation “I AM,” which was formerly reserved for only God Himself.

According to their interpretation, Jesus clearly stated, “I am God.” What evidence do we have that this was their understanding of His words?

They retaliated by attempting to stone Jesus for claiming to be God (an act of blasphemy they believed worthy of death): At this point, they gathered stones to stone him, but Jesus slipped away from the temple grounds and into hiding.

Although the phrase “I am God” does not appear in the Gospels, you will almost definitely find the ancient counterpart of the phrase there.

My simple picture of Jesus as a “lovely man” or “good teacher” had to be re-examined once I read these remarks in the Gospels.

Because Jesus explicitly said that He was God, I was compelled to rethink my beliefs about Jesus and what He taught.
