3 Problems Only the Blood of Jesus Can Solve

In previous blogs, we examined how believers in Jesus Christ may be completely confident that they are saved and that they would never abandon their faith. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, we were forgiven of our sins and cleansed of our transgressions. However, even though our salvation is everlasting, we continue to commit sins even after we have been rescued. In numerous occasions during our everyday lives, we disobey God or fail to meet His expectations. According to the Bible’s 1 John 1:8 (which was addressed to Christians), “If we declare that we do not have sin, we are misleading ourselves, and the truth does not dwell within us.” As a result of our sin, three difficulties arise, involving three different parties: God, ourselves, and Satan.

1. We’re separated from God

What happens between ourselves and God when we sin is described in Isaiah 59:1-2: “No, Jehovah’s hand is not so short that it cannot save, nor is His ear so heavy that it cannot hear. However, your crimes have caused a rift between you and your God, and your transgressions have obscured His face from you, making it impossible for Him to hear you.” Because God is holy and utterly just, our sins separate us from Him and separate us from one another.

It does not take committing a severe crime to for us to be separated from God; even uttering a small untruth can establish a barrier between us and our Creator. Only the blood of Jesus has the power to remove this obstacle.

Solution: The blood of Jesus cleanses us from every sin

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son washes us from all sin.,” 1 John 1:7 and 9 declare. In the event that we repent of our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” By the blood of Jesus, we can be forgiven and cleansed of all of our sins forever. Because the crimes we commit leave a stain on our conscience, we must confess them. Our tarnished conscience is the source of our feelings of guilt. Having a guilty conscience is a significant subject that requires careful consideration. We are all familiar with the debilitating effects that a guilty conscience can have on us.

Solution: The blood of Christ purifies our conscience

However, the solution to this difficulty is found in the Word of God. It is said in Hebrews 9:14 that the only cure for a guilty conscience is found: “How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit gave Himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead deeds so that we may serve the living God?” The same blood that we must shed in order for God to forgive us also cleanses our conscience and removes the stain of sin from our souls.

Jesus Christ’s shed blood has incredible power!

“Thank You, Lord Jesus, for by Your blood, I have been pardoned and cleansed,” we might say in prayer.

God, thank You for washing away all of my sins via the sacrificial blood of Jesus.” The more we rely on God’s Word rather than our emotions, the more certain we may be that the stain on our conscience will be removed from our lives.

3. We’re accused by Satan

Having dealt with our sins before God, we may meet another issue: an interior feeling of guilt about our transgressions. This is a problem that we must deal with. This allegation has the potential to become like a big cloud hovering over our heads, depriving us of all sense of calm. Despite the fact that we understand we have been forgiven by God and that our conscience has been cleansed, we may nevertheless be plagued by the lingering accusation and continue to hold ourselves responsible for what we have accomplished.

The charges, on the other hand, will not be dispelled no matter how many times we confess the same fault to God.
It’s critical to understand where these charges are coming from before responding.
We’ve seen that God’s faithfulness and righteousness obligate Him to forgive us when we confess our sins to Him.
It is by the blood of Jesus that we are cleansed from our sin-tainted conscience.

Satan is God’s adversary as well as our accuser.
His purpose is to make us feel weak and perhaps paralyzed.
Accusing him of wrongdoing will cause our communion with God to be hampered, and we will suffer a significant setback in our spiritual life.

Solution: We overcome Satan because of the blood of Jesus

But, according to Revelation 12:11, we may deal with Satan’s charges in the following way: “And they defeated him because of the blood of the Lamb.” The following is the second note on this passage in the New Testament Recovery Version, which is instructive: “The blood of the Lamb, which is shed for our redemption, answers all of the accusations leveled against us by the devil before God and grants us the triumph over him.” (Hebrews 10:22) We must use this blood anytime we feel the accusation of the devil,” says the pastor.

The only way to be forgiven and cleansed of the stain of sin is for us to come before the Lord and confess our sins to him.

In response to his allegations, we should simply reply, “Satan, I reject your accusations.” Take a look at Jesus’s shed blood. God has been satisfied by Christ’s redeeming blood, my conscience has been cleansed by His cleaning blood, and you have been vanquished by Christ’s overpowering blood!”

Experiencing the blood of Jesus

Our Christian walk will be transformed as a result of our faith in and experience of the efficacy of Jesus’ blood. Our separation from God, plagued by shame, and tortured by Satan’s charges do not have to last forever. Throughout the Western world, the use of the chalice for common communion has become less and less efficient, as the dangers of disease transmission and spillage (which could be sacrilegious) have been deemed sufficient reasons to remove the chalice from common communion altogether, or to use it only on special occasions.

In the Protestant Reformation, this was considered to be one of the most important concerns.

As time progressed, the chalice was made more accessible to the general public. At every Mass involving a congregation, at the discretion of the priest, everyone were granted complete liberty to receive communion from the chalice following the Second Vatican Council, which took place in 1962.

Theology

When the bread and wine are consecrated, the Catholic Church holds that, via the process of transubstantiation, they become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ—in other words, the entire Christ. It was a particular phenomena of Flemishpiety in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries that gave rise to the famous picture of Grace as the “Fountain of Life,” replete with blood, spilling from the wounded “Lamb of God” or the “Holy Wounds” of Christ. When receiving Holy Communion, the clergy (deacons, priests, and bishops) will receive the Body of Christ in addition to the Blood of Christ in a separate container. Artistic depictions
