The true gospel – What is it?

″Repent and believe in the gospel,″ Jesus said in Mark 1:15, directing people to do so.But, what exactly is the real gospel of Jesus Christ?The real gospel is the message that Jesus shared with his disciples.The term ″gospel″ comes from an old English word that literally means ″good news.″ According to John 3:16, ″For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whomever believes in him should not die but have eternal life.″ Romans 3:23 states that every human being save Jesus is guilty of sin and that this sin is deserving of death, which entails permanent separation from God (Romans 6:23).We have a perfect substitution for our sins because of the death of Jesus on the cross for our sake.When we put our trust in Him, our sins are forgiven (1 John 2:12), and we are given the ability to enjoy an abundant life now (John 10:10), as well as the promise of eternal life in the future (John 3:16).

What is the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Answer to the question Given that the term gospel literally translates as ″good news,″ then the gospel of Christ is the good news of His coming to grant forgiveness of sins to anyone who would believe in Him (Colossians 1:14; Romans 10:9).Since the fall of Adam and Eve, mankind has been under the condemnation of the Almighty (Romans 5:12).Everyone is guilty of breaking God’s flawless law by committing sin because everyone breaches God’s perfect law (Romans 3:23).Physical death (Romans 6:23) is the punishment for the crime of sin, followed by an eternity spent in a place of punishment (Romans 6:23).(Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:46).The ″second death,″ which is eternal separation from God, is likewise referred to as such in Revelation 20:14–15.

  • The gospel, or the good news of Jesus Christ, is meant to contradict the terrible news that everyone is guilty of sin and thus condemned by God.

The Main Message of Jesus

When the Gospel authors introduce Jesus’ career, they portray Him as a messenger from Heaven, bearing a vital message that comes directly from the heart of God.This message, according to Mark, is known as the ″Gospel of the Kingdom of God.″ (Matthew 1:14) ″What or where is the Kingdom of God?″ is one of the most important questions we need to ask.″Can you tell me what the major point of this letter is?″ ″Can you tell me how this message affects those of us who live in the twenty-first century?″ Whenever we look at Jesus’ life, it becomes plainly evident that he spent the greater part of his time teaching and preaching about the Kingdom of God.Unlike the Scribes and Pharisees, he delivered a message that was in opposition to theirs.It was a message of love, acceptance, and forgiveness that he was delivering.Theirs was a message of denunciation and condemnation on the part of the audience.

  • Tolerance and inclusivity were the themes of his speech.
  • One of intolerance and exclusivity, that was their way of life.
  • His teaching was so completely different from what they were expecting that they sought to murder Him because of it.
  • What is it about this message that has sparked such a polarization in public opinion?
  • Begin by identifying what Jesus was referring to when He talked of the Kingdom of God in the first place.
  • There are two fundamental implications for me when it comes to the Kingdom of God.
  • The first is the immediate: the meaning of ″right now.″ The other is one that is eschatological in nature (eschatological is a theological word referring to a future order connected to the return of Christ and preceding events).
  • There are certain parts of God’s promises that are fulfilled right now, and there are others that are not fulfilled yet.
  • We must maintain these two concepts together, but in the appropriate amount of tension.

The purpose of Jesus’ coming was to prepare us for Heaven, but He also came to instill Heavenly principles into our lives right now.We can have certain things now that He wants us to have, but we will have to wait until we get to Heaven before we can have others.What is apparent, however, is that Jesus desired for us to be a part of the Heavenly community while we were still on earth.One of the most straightforward ways to explain the Kingdom of God is to simply state: ″The Kingdom of God is any location where God’s will is carried out.″ Those who live in places where the will and purposes of God are seen as preeminent have entered into the Kingdom of God.When Jesus tells us that the Kingdom of God may be found inside us, he is implying that we have surrendered ourselves to God’s will (Luke 17:21).If we start with this description as a beginning point, it becomes much easier to add other concepts that expand on what it means to ″do the will of God.″ Matt 5, 6, and 7 expose us to Jesus’ most in-depth teaching on Kingdom principles, which occurs during the sermon on the mount.

It is possible to characterize it as the Manifesto of Kingdom ideals.Allow me to show you many examples of them.We begin with eight Kingdom principles and behaviors that are described in what is popularly referred to as ″The Beatitudes,″ which are the teachings of Jesus Christ.1.THE PEOPLE OF THE KINGDOM DEPEND ON GOD.Blessed are the poor in spirit, for it is theirs that the Kingdom of Heaven will be revealed.

(See Matthew 5:3) The way the CEV (Contemporary English Version) interprets this stanza is very beautiful.″God favors those who rely only on Him for their needs.″ Poor in spirit, as a result, implies that one is in need of and dependent on God.This instantly draws a distinction between those who require God’s help and those who do not require God’s help.

Both God-reliant and God-independent people exist in the world.Those who believe they are deficient in spiritual things and those who believe they are self sufficient in spiritual matters are two types of people.Those who are spiritually impoverished, as well as those who are spiritually whole and needless.

There were many people in 1st century Palestine who believed that they were complete and didn’t require any spiritual guidance at the time.For example, the Scribes and Pharisees were included in this group.They were in control of the law, they were in control of their religion, and they were in control of their connection with God.They did not consider themselves to be ″poor in spirit″ for even a single moment.The wealthy, the powerful, and those in positions of authority were all included in this group.Jesus was explaining to these individuals, as well as to everyone else who would listen, that the first qualification for entering the Kingdom of God is to be in desperate need of God’s help.

Kingdom individuals are clearly distinguished from one another.They are reliant on God rather than being self-sufficient.They are self-aware enough to recognize their need on God.In their hearts, they see that the vacuum in their lives is a ″God shaped void,″ and that nothing other than God can fully fill that hole.

Before one may join the Kingdom of God, it is necessary for us to cry out, ″God, I need You.″ As a result, this is the first of the Beatitudes to be said.It serves as a gateway to the remaining Kingdom Values in the world.In the same way that this one bestows blessings on the person who takes it, the other seven do the same.

On the seventh day, the Sabbath represented man withdrawing from his own activities (the six-day work week) and resting in Christ alone, as represented by the Jewish calendar (the Sabbath).In terms of a ceremonial ordinance to be maintained, the Sabbath was given to Israel alone, and not to any other people or group of peoples.God does not expect us to observe the Sabbath day on this particular occasion.If He did, we wouldn’t be able to do things like start a fire, leave our houses, cook, and so on.For a specific people (the Jews) living in a specific place (Israel) during a specific historical period, the Sabbath was instituted by the Creator (the Old Testament).The Jewish people were the only ones who observed the ceremonial laws, which included the Sabbath, circumcision, feasts and sacrifices, food and dress regulations, and so on.

Each of these worldly regulations for the Jew served as a reminder to him of a heavenly commandment from on high.For example, circumcision served as a continual reminder to the Jews that they were God’s people and that they were to be separated from the gentile world (thus depicting God’s Children as being separated from the non-Jewish world).In fact, whatever was written before was written FOR OUR LEARNING, so that we could have hope through patience and the consolation of the scriptures, as we have hope in Christ (Romans 15:4).

Through the history of the Jewish people, God has provided us with guiding principles for our lives.As a result, the Sabbath was a ceremonial ordinance (applicable only to Jews) that served as a lesson to the rest of the world, instructing us to desist from our own efforts and instead rely on Christ alone for salvation.Isn’t that a lovely statement of truth?

Despite the fact that certain religions (such as the Seventh-Day Adventists) continue to preach that you must keep the Sabbath in order to be saved, this is not the case.You do not need to hold on to anything in order to be saved; only rest in Jesus.Is it true that you have entered God’s rest by placing your faith in Christ to free you from your sins?Those who do not put their trust in Christ will spend eternity in hell.Only Jesus can pardon sins because only Jesus has the nail-scarred hands and feet to atone for our wrongdoing.No one else has the same knowledge!

In fact, I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, for it is the POWER OF GOD unto salvation to everyone who believes, first and foremost to Jews, and then to Gentiles (Romans 1:16).The most effective method of winning ANYONE to the Lord is to just share the plain good news (Gospel) of Jesus Christ with them.If a person would not follow the simple Gospel, then no amount of debating or disputing will be able to change their heart’s state of disbelief in the Lord Jesus Christ.The word power is a slang term for dynamite.

People who turn in repentance from their disbelief and to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation will be struck by God’s dynamite through the Gospel.It is important to note that God had selected Israel as His chosen people to spread the Gospel across the world.The Old Testament high priest would atone for Israel’s sins once a year, according to the law of Moses.

When the Israelites placed their confidence in the future Savior, who was represented by the blood sacrifice, they were rescued from their plight.It is possible for people living in other countries to be rescued if they place their trust in the God of Israel.Salvation has always been accomplished via grace and trust!

What Is the Message of Jesus Christ?

People are beginning to question whether or not the religion we refer to as ″Christianity″ has strayed greatly from the true, spiritual message of Jesus Christ.Who is Jesus Christ, and what is his message to us?The depth of wisdom contained within the ancient Christian texts discovered at Nag Hammadi has not yet been appreciated by mainstream Christianity, but I happen to love this message from the Gospel of Thomas because the poetic imagery is so mystically evocative and I believe it captures truly the heart of Jesus Christ’s message: 77 (1) Jesus declared, ″I am the light that shines throughout all things.″ (2) 144 I am everything: everything has sprung from me, and everything has arrived to me.145 (2) Split a piece of wood, and I’ll be right there.(3) When you lift up the stone, you will discover that I am there.″ The Gospel According to Thomas O Christ, what a magnificent message You have given us!You are the ethereal light that permeates everything and everyone.

  • You are the light that shines beneath the stone.
  • If you’re looking for light, look no farther than you are now.
  • You are the beacon of light in the void of outer space.
  • You are the light at the end of the longest tunnel.
  • Everywhere I look, I can’t help but find You, since there is no place on the planet where You aren’t.
  • And, certainly, you are more vulnerable to being discovered in the dark.
  • When a volcano erupts and hundreds are killed, you are there.
  • When a fawn is starved to death, you are there to save it from death.
  • But why is this so?

What is the source of all this suffering?Because yours is a light that shines through everything, but there is still darkness, and there is still death, sickness, and pain.Oh, my God, how much pain there is now.What happened to the logic?What if it exists, but is not visible to me?Where has the compassion gone?

Even if it exists, many people suffer as a result of it.Where has all the love gone?Even if it exists, it will not prevent an earthquake from killing thousands of people.So, where exactly are you?

Seek and Ye Will Find

Many Christians have expressed similar reservations.I don’t hold it against them.The replies are absolutely logical and justifiable in light of the clearly seen atrocities that exist in our society.I’m sorry, but I don’t have a solution for people who are in the depths of despair.I don’t have a hidden theological argument that I can use to answer the dilemma of God’s seeming absence from this world.Despite the fact that I am well aware of the intractable nature of the issue of evil, I believe the teaching of Christ to be filled with immense insight.

  • Because it is possible that it is less about discovering God behind the stone and more about the delights that come with lifting the stone.
  • It is less about discovering Christ inside the wood than it is about the depths of experience discovered through the act of gazing.
  • It is a feeling of longing.
  • It is the process of searching.
  • ″Seek and ye shall find,″ as the saying goes.
  • ″Ask, and you shall get,″ as the saying goes.
  • Is it true that this statement applies to all ″asks″?
  • Will I be able to obtain a trillion bucks if I ask for it?
  • Unlikely.

So, what exactly am I supposed to be watching out for here?″It is the light that reigns supreme over all things.″ What exactly is this bright light?I’m confident that no scientific tool will be able to detect it.I am unable to view it with my eyes since it is too far away.So, what exactly is it?How do I know I’m not simply a delusional poet spouting gibberish terms that have no connection to the world I’m writing about?

The Magic of Christ

Have you ever gone outdoors and felt as if the world was alive with promise, as if a magical spell had been cast over all you could see?This is a common experience.The trees appear to be more magnificent than they have ever been.The light from the setting sun gives everything a gentle sheen that adds to its allure.Almost as if they were putting on a show for you, the birds fly together in a choreographed dance.The leaves sway and flutter around as if they were possessed by a divine spirit.

  • The psychedelic experience is well-known to everyone who has had the pleasure of participating in it.
  • In the world, it is that experience of enchantment that is both fully embodied and rooted in the environment, while at the same time being totally transcending in nature.
  • Although we may not have used psychedelics at the time, I’m sure we’ve all had times like this, where the majesty and beauty, as well as the awe-some-ness, of reality takes us completely by surprise.
  • Like the CEO who is so preoccupied with seeking a better stock price that he fails to appreciate how gorgeous the sunset is on his way home from work every evening.
  • However, after an extremely long day in which he appears to have reached his breaking point, he is startled by the sight of the sunset.
  • As the sun begins to set, Like takes notice of it as if it were the first time he has ever observed such a sight.
  • Perhaps he also hears a voice in his brain, one that is loud and clear and speaks to him directly.
  • It is the voice that delivers the exact message he needs to illuminate his entire Soul.
  • It is less about the content of the message than it is about the full phenomenology of how the voice emerged in his consciousness at such an unexpected moment.

Perhaps, at the same time, a song comes on the radio that is deeply important in connection with the voice and the beauty of the sunset is broadcasted on the radio.When the subtle, magical light of the entire gestalt penetrates his heart and radiates throughout his entire nervous system, he is overcome with emotion, as all of his ego-artificial consciousness’s barriers and defenses are cleansed and washed away by the experience in its totality and wholeness, he is pierced and flooded with emotion.In terms of being the ″light that is over all things,″ I believe this delicate, magical light is what Jesus is alluding to when he says he is the ″light that is over all things.″ It is the light of years of experience.It shines with the light of gnosis.

Christ as Oversoul

Allowing for the sake of argument, let us assume that everything has a soul.Consider the possibility that the collection of all things is likewise endowed with a soul: This is referred to as the ″Oversoul″ by Ralph Waldo Emerson.As the smaller souls move and engage with one another, they are also moving and engaging with the Oversoul, and the Oversoul is moving and interacting with them in a cosmic dance of reciprocity.The tiny souls are analogous to an endless number of raindrops constantly falling into a limitless ocean, creating ripples and waves to spread over the entire body of water.As they descend, some raindrops beat their chests, puff themselves up, and declare themselves independent of the ocean, completely forgetting that they too are created from the ocean and will soon return to it, thanks to the cycles of evaporation.The same is true for us humans and the stars from which we are descended as well.
