Have you ever wondered what Jesus is doing, now that He has ascended to heaven? tells us that after offering Himself as a sacrifice for our sins, He sat down at theright hand of God. During my first several weeks as a Christian, I was taken to hear an evangelist speak. For a week, he talked at a town hall in the northern suburbs of Sydney, night after night. 6. We don’t have to account to God on our own behalf; Jesus has already done so; and we don’t have to make apologies for our own sins before a holy Judge; Jesus has already done so.
7. However, Jesus is our great defender, eternally pleasing God with His perfect righteousness, which was freely given to us by the sacrifice of His life.

Jesus provides a solution for you in your failing before God today.

He will carry your concerns, fears, uncertainties, and difficulties all the way to the heart of the Father, where they will be courageously welcomed in the mercy and grace that have been made available to you by Christ’s death and resurrection.

Remind yourself that Jesus is preparing something better when the darkness seems overpowering.

All of the world’s most beautiful things serve to remind us of the even more wonderful beauty that Jesus has in store for us, and the deepest of hurts and sorrows kindle in us a frantic need to be with Him where He is most at ease, at home, eternally.

Despite the fact that Jesus has done wonderful things for us and has promised to accomplish even greater things in the future, failing to recognize what He is doing right now is to undervalue the scope of His activity on our behalf in the present.

In this very time, he is toiling for you in the heavenly realms. You may be assured that Jesus’ work for you today is entirely excellent. He is maintaining you, safeguarding you, and providing you with a flawless and plentiful supply. He is not inactive, but rather is actively working on your side.

(Hebrews 12:1–2, English Standard Version) As we New Testament Christians run with endurance the race that has been set before us, we are encouraged by a large cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and are now ruling with Christ in the presence of the Father.

• Prophets, priests, and kings were among those who lived throughout the time of the Old Testament.
• The prophets were responsible for communicating God’s message to the people, and they occasionally made divinely inspired prophecies about the future.
• Kings were civil magistrates who administered civil law on God’s behalf, and they were the representatives of the people.
• The book of Hebrews 12:2 is one of the few places in the New Testament where Christ’s participation in performing these three duties is explicitly stated: Prophet:Jesus is the originator and consummator of our religious religion.
• King:Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God, in the position of King.

(Ephesians 1:21, ESV). Jesus Christ has now taken up residence at the right hand of the Father. He is the absolute ruler of the entire universe, and he reigns as such. There is absolutely nothing that is not within His control. What evidence do we have? We know this because the Bible says so!

So what is Jesus doing now?

However, just because Jesus is sitting, does not indicate that He is acting as a passive observer to what is taking place on the world. As the triumphant Son of God, He continues to carry out the functions of prophet, priest, and king throughout the world. Prior to His crucifixion, Jesus made a startling revelation, according to the prophet. They just did not understand:However, I tell you the truth:it is in your best interests that I leave, because if I do not go, the Helper will not come to you.

• However, if I have to go, I will send him to you.
• How could it possible be better if Jesus didn’t come back into the world?
• As He reminded them of the things that He had previously taught them, the Spirit would impart the word to them (John 14:26).
• This occurred on the day of Pentecost, ten days after the Ascension and ten days after the Transfiguration.
• Jesus is performing the duty of prophet by sending the Holy Spirit to His followers on the earth.

• In Ephesians 4:4–16, the Apostle Paul teaches that, when Christ ascended to the right hand of the Father, He gave (and continues to provide) gifts to the church.

We have the New Testament because Christ’s ministers diligently documented, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the word (the Bible) that we hold dear today, resulting in the preservation of the New Testament.

As well as excellent fruit in the lives of believers, the Spirit also bears fruit in the lives of nonbelievers: love, joy and peace; patience, kindness and goodness; faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).

The Holy Spirit has been poured forth at various periods and seasons throughout church history, and He will continue to do so until the day of Christ’s return.

Priest: It is excellently explained by the writer of Hebrews as to why Jesus is such a superb High Priest: Due to the fact that we now have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, namely, Jesus the Son of God, let us keep our confession firm.

Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to assist us in our time of need.

Those are some of the most soothing remarks I’ve ever heard!

And our High Priest is not only sympathetic to our frailties, but He is also interceding on our behalf before the Father, as follows: As a result, he is able to save to the fullest extent those who come to God through him, since he is constantly there to intercede on their behalf.

When we sin, we have a representative before the Father (1 John 2:1).

He is aware of the Father’s will.

He continues to live in order to intercede on our behalf.

King: According to Old Testament Israel, the function of a monarch was to supervise his country by administering justice, punishing evildoers, and rewarding the good.

In particular, he served as a mediator between God and His people, mediating the terms of the covenant.

Following Jesus’ ascension, He was instantly in the presence of the Ancient of Days, according to the Bible (God the Father).

In order that all peoples, countries, and languages serve him, God gave him dominion and glory, as well as a kingdom; his dominion is an eternal dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

(Daniel 7:13–14, English Standard Version) During the vision, Jesus was sitting at the right hand of the Father, where He is presently ruling as King of the Universe.

His empire will never be conquered or defeated.

He is in charge of the affairs of the many nations.

“But look at all the evil that exists on our planet,” others would argue.

Let us consider the narrative of Nebuchadnezzar, which is found in Daniel Chapter 4.

It was one of the most spectacular and gorgeous cities that had ever existed in the history of the world.

As God saw fit, the king’s position needed to be weakened.

Nebuchadnezzar was insane for seven years, and he died as a result of his illness.

At the conclusion of the seven-year period, Nebuchadnezzar regained his composure and praised God as the supreme authority over the affairs of humanity.

We can’t discern the genuine condition of circumstances just from the perspective of the earthly, temporal sphere of existence.

That same sword is in the hands of Jesus, who sits at God’s right side.

It goes like this: “Sit at My right hand till I make Your adversaries Your footstool,” the LORD says to my Lord.

The ultimate objective is to rule the entire globe.

While I realize it seems harsh, there is no other way to interpret what the Father means when he says, “Your adversaries will become your footstool.” But here’s where it gets very interesting.

Because the weapons of our fight are not of the flesh, but have heavenly ability to overthrow strongholds, we are able to defeat them.

(2 Corinthians 10:3–5, New International Version) Yes, Jesus has been granted complete and total authority.

And He is achieving this through the church, which is His earthly body of believers. You and I are being used by God to do this, as we share our stories with the world and demonstrate our changed lives, as well as our good actions done in His name!

It all makes sense!

Do you have a grasp of what Jesus is accomplishing right now, in the name of Heaven? He has taught us His word, the gospel of salvation, in his roles as our heavenly prophet, priest, and king. It is via the Holy Spirit, who has been sent by Jesus, that we are reminded of His teachings and empowered to serve others, as well as given talents so we might wage battle against Christ’s adversaries. “Because the weapons of our fight are not of the flesh, but have supernatural ability to destroy strongholds,” the apostle Paul explains in Romans 12:2.

In the Lord’s prayer, we are expressing our hope that this will be the case.

What Is Jesus Doing Now?

Following his resurrection from the dead, Jesus appeared to the disciples as well as to hundreds of other people. The disciples were taken to the top of a mountain forty days later, when he instructed them to “Go then and make disciples of all countries,” baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and instructing them to observe all that I have directed them to do. “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18–20, emphasis added). Then Jesus ascended, or went up to heaven, and sat down at God the Father’s right side, where he remained until his death (Mark 16:19;Hebrews 10:12, 12:2;Revelation 3:21).

But what exactly is Jesus doing right now?

Ruling

Because Jesus is God, he is also sovereign, which implies that he knows everything and has complete authority over all circumstances. His followers were instructed even before he left the planet that “all authority in heaven and on earth has been handed to me” (Matthew 28:18). According to the Scriptures (Ephesians 1:15–23; Hebrews 8:1–2; I Peter 3:12–14), he is stronger than anything that comes our way, and he does not allow anything to happen to us that he is not aware of.

Caring

In Matthew 6:28, Jesus says that he cares for even the most little of things, such as a sparrow or a flower in a field—imagine how much more he cares for you! Even from the heights of heaven, Jesus understands what we require and provides it for us. “However, my God will meet all your needs according to his riches in glory,” Paul stated in response (Philippians 4:19). In fact, Jesus says in Ephesians 3:20–21 that he is able to go above and beyond all we might possibly ask or imagine.

Interceding

According to Romans 8:34, Jesus intercedes on our behalf. Intercede is a Latin phrase that means “to move between.” The Bible says that because Jesus understands our wants, desires and temptations, he acts as a mediator between us and God, conveying our requests to the Father (Hebrews 4:15–16, 7:25, and 9:24).

When Jesus died on the Cross, he became the only means by which we as sinners might come into contact with a just and holy God. That is why we pray in the name of Jesus.

Advocating

As a result of our sins and requests for forgiveness, Jesus reminds the Father of his work on the Cross (1 John 2:1–2). Jesus defends us even when Satan attempts to accuse us of doing something wrong, and the Father forgives us when we ask him to do so (1 John 1:9).

Helping

Our thoughts are guided by Jesus, who encourages us to be more virtuous by encouraging us to love God and be patient with others (2 Thessalonians 3:5). In addition, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to reside inside Christians in order to assist us in living holy lives (John 14:26–27). He is always eager to assist us in doing what is right when we ask him to.

Although He was crucified and buried, the fact that He rose from the dead serves as our foundation of faith as Christians. Jesus has risen from the dead! But what exactly is Jesus up to right now? Were we to pay less attention to the work of Christ today when it came to the activity of God? We tend to attribute all of God’s generic functions to the Father, and we frequently consider and even debate what the Holy Spirit is currently doing.

He appears to be in heaven, just hanging out until the Father sends Him back to judge the world, which is our perception.

Jesus is present and active today – and he is working for you!

1. What happened to Jesus now? They were present after Jesus’ resurrection and can attest to His ascension, which is as follows:

• Then it happened, while He was blessing them and leaving them, that He was separated from them and lifted up into heaven
• Luke 24:51– As they stood there watching, He was lifted up into a cloud, and they were no longer able to see Him. 1. He has now been elevated to the Right Hand of God: Afterwards, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and seated at God’s right side. Mark 16:19 – Acts 2:30-33 (KJV) “Therefore, knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that He would raise up the Christ to sit on His throne from the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, 31 he foresaw this and spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, saying that His soul was not left in Hades, nor was His flesh corrupted.” 32 This Jesus God has brought up, and we are all witnesses to his resurrection. 33 Consequently, having been raised to the right hand of God and having received the Holy Spirit’s promise from the Father, He poured out that which you now see and hear. Jesus is seated at God’s right hand, where he holds the highest position possible: The apostle Peter writes in 1 Peter 3:22, “who has ascended into heaven and is seated at the right side of the Majesty on high, angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to Him.” “which He accomplished in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and sat Him at His right side in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is mentioned, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”

The current work of Christ, which He is upholding, is as follows: Paul writes in Hebrews 1:3 that Jesus’ superiority and uniqueness, as manifested in His divinity, are expressed in the author’s expression of His superiority and uniqueness. 2. A deist would tell us that God made this universe in the same way as an artisan puts a watch together, places it on a shelf, and waits for it to wind down. However, the fact is that the universe does not have a separate existence from the rest of the cosmos. The power of Jesus must be constantly replenished, so that it can function. If He were to abandon it for even a little minute, all visible creation would be destroyed
3. Even science is perplexed as to how the cosmos has managed to survive for so long. The general theory of relativity is the most comprehensive model we have for comprehending the nature of reality. As predicted by the general theory of relativity, the cosmos should not be able to maintain its cohesion. Stars should disintegrate in their orbits. Galaxies should be tearing apart. Scientists largely agree, then, that the cosmos is sustained by an unknown force that we are unable to define or quantify. Typically, they claim that dark matter is to blame, despite the fact that no one has ever observed or measured any of the stuff before. Personally, I have a strong suspicion that this amazing energy is nothing more than the word of Jesus’ strength
4. What is Jesus up to these days? In his hands, power is wielded on a cosmic and incomprehensible scale

1. He is Reigning: He continues to wield His authority over all things in His capacity as Our King. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All power has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18-20 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all countries, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to follow everything that I have commanded you
2. And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. The angels are under His authority. He is the spiritual leader of the church and is in charge of everything (Col. 1:18). 1. God’s revealed word continues to rule, and He is the head of the church (Eph 1:19-23). “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named,” says the Bible. 22 23 This church is His body, the fullness of him who fills all in everything
3. And He placed everything under His feet and appointed Him to be the head over everything in the universe.

1. B. He is Speaking –In his capacity as Our Prophet, He serves as God’s spokesperson today. The book of Hebrews (1:1-2) “God, who spoke to the fathers through the prophets at various times and in various ways in the past, has spoken to us in these last days through His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, and through whom He also created the worlds

C.He is acting as a mediator (interceding)

• It is possible that there is a distinction between intercession and mediation –different words in Greek–in that, while there is only one who mediates for us (1 Tim 2:5–For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, to be testified to in due time
• One mediator of the new covenant – Heb. 9:15), there are others who can intercede for us through prayer. Throughout the Bible, intercessory prayer is urged upon us. The writer of Hebrews claims that Jesus intercedes on our behalf – but this is always in connection with the blood He shed as a propitiation for us. Intercession is the act of contacting someone else on behalf of a third party. Mediation is the process of assisting two other parties in settling their issues – sometimes known as reconciliation.

1. Jesus is our advocate (intercessor) and points to the blood he shed as a propitiation for our sins in I John 2:1. As Our High Priest, He continues to mediate for us by shedding His own blood. “Who is he who condemns?” asks the apostle Paul in Romans 8:34. It is Christ who died and, more importantly, who has risen from the dead, who sits at the right side of the Father and who intercedes on our behalf.” The book of Hebrews (Hebrews 7:24-25) “However, He possesses an immutable priesthood since He is eternal and will continue to exist eternally.” Consequently, He is also capable of saving those who approach God through Him to the fullest extent possible, since He is constantly present to intercede on their behalf
2. He is capable of interceding because He gave the required element of atonement– His blood. The atoning force of Jesus’ blood is the source of the power that He wields on our behalf today. As Jesus said at His final Passover before ascending to the Father in Matthew 26:29,”For this is My blood of the new covenant, which has been spilt for many for the forgiveness of sins,” “Hebrews 9:11-13” is a biblical passage. Christ, on the other hand, came as the High Priest of the good things to come, bringing with him the bigger and more complete tabernacle, which was not constructed by human hands, and hence was not of this creation. 12 The blood of goats and calves was not used, but rather His own blood, which allowed Him to enter the Most Holy Place once and for all, obtaining eternal redemption. The apostle Paul describes the atoning value of Jesus’ sacrifice in Romans 3:23-26: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God set forth as a propitiation by his blood through faith to demonstrate His The apostle Paul goes on to discuss the ongoing impact of Jesus’ blood on behalf of His children. 5:9-11 (Romans 5:9) As a result of being justified by His blood, we will be spared from wrath through Him even more abundantly.” 10 Since we were once enemies, God was able to bring us back together via the death of His Son, and now that we have been reconciled, we will be rescued by His resurrection. It is not the imputation of Jesus’ perfect righteousness to us that is being referred to as “saving his life,” but rather the continual life of intercession on our behalf. He is not dead, but rather, he is alive and well for all time! This emphasizes the importance of being “in Christ.” Those who do not believe in Christ have no one to intercede for them
3. He is preparing a way – John 14:1-3 (KJV) ” Do not let your heart be concerned
4. You trust in God, believe likewise in Me
5. Do not let your heart be tormented.”

2 There are many mansions in My Father’s house; if this were not the case, I would have informed you. I’m going to go set up a space for you. 3 Moreover, if I depart to prepare a place for you, I will return to welcome you into Myself, so that where I am, you may be as well. Take a time to explore the grammar of the Greek language. The second-person plural pronoun is used in Koiné Greek. To put it another way, we could say. Rather of saying “you,” Jesus is addressing the entire congregation as “y’all.” To put it another way, that includes everyone still there at The Last Supper, but it also includes each and every one of us as individuals.

That is really significant.

Right now, He is planning to return and welcome you into Himself, ensuring that you will always be in the same place as He is, wherever He is.

• For those who are ‘in Christ,’ Jesus promises that the power of His blood will restore them to a right relationship with their Creator. Jesus will not fail to save those who have placed their faith in Him – Heb 10:22-23 (KJV). As we approach the house of God, with a sincere heart and full certainty of trust, 22let us be cleansed from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water, as we have a High Priest over the house of God. 23 Maintaining our confidence without wavering is essential, since He who has promised is trustworthy. You and I shall only be saved because Jesus labored on our behalf both at Calvary and at this current moment, not because of anything we have done. He was willing to pay the price of forgiveness. However, I must be “in Christ” in order to profit from His intercession
• Those who are not “in Christ” will be subjected to Jesus’ task, which will be judgment. In Luke 3:17, the prophet John the Baptist foreshadowed Jesus’ ability to judge. The winnowing fan in His hand, He will thoroughly clear up His threshing floor and gather the wheat into His barn, but He will burn the chaff with an unquenchable fire. 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 It is our goal to please God regardless of whether we are physically present or away from the earth.
