What Does The Blood Of Jesus Do For Me?

12 Reasons Why the Blood of Jesus Christ Is All-Important

Blood is seen as both a symbol and a source of life in the Bible.″For the life of every thing is its blood: the blood of every creature is its life,″ says Leviticus 17:14.(ESV) In the Old Testament, the theme of blood is prominent.According to Exodus 12:1-13, the blood of a lamb was smeared over the top and sides of each door frame as a symbol that death had already occurred, allowing the Angel of Death to walk over the threshold.

On the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to perform a blood sacrifice in order to atone for the sins of the congregation. It was necessary to sprinkle the altar with the blood of both a bull and a goat. The life of the animal was poured out, and it was offered in exchange for the life of the human.

During the ceremony at Mount Sinai, when God established a covenant with his people, Moses took the blood of oxen and divided it in two, placing half on the altar and the other on the people.(Exodus 24:6-8; 24:9-10)

The Blood of Jesus Christ

Because of its connection to life, blood is seen as the ultimate sacrifice offered to God.In order to maintain God’s righteousness and justice, sin must be punished. The sole punishment or payment for sin is eternal death, and this is the only payment available. The sacrifice of an animal, or even our own death, is insufficient to atone for our sinfulness.

Atonement necessitates the offering of a faultless, spotless sacrifice in the exact correct manner. When Jesus Christ, the one and only flawless God-man, came to earth, he came to give the one pure, complete, and eternal sacrifice to atone for our sins.It is brilliantly explained in Hebrews chapters 8-10 how Christ came to be the everlasting High Priest, entering heaven (the Holy of Holies) once and for all, not through the blood of sacrificial animals, but by his own precious blood shed on the cross.

Christ gave his life as the ultimate atoning sacrifice for our sins as well as the sins of the entire world to atone for our sins.As a result, the blood of Jesus Christ serves as the basis for God’s new covenant of grace, which is contained in the New Testament. The following is what Jesus said to his followers at the Last Supper: ″This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in my blood.″ (Luke 22:20, English Standard Version) The valuable and powerful essence of Jesus Christ’s blood is expressed in well-known hymns and spiritual songs.Let’s have a look at the Bible right now to confirm its enormous relevance.

The Blood of Jesus Has Power To:

Redeem us from our sins According to the riches of his grace, we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of our sins, and eternal life in him…Paul writes in Ephesians 1:7 that he entered the Most Holy Place once and for all with his own blood, not the blood of goats and calves, and therefore guaranteed our salvation for all eternity.(Hebrews 9:12, New Living Translation) Reconcile us with the Almighty.Because God offered Jesus as a sacrifice to atone for our sins.

Individuals are made straight with God when they accept that Jesus sacrificed his life by spilling his blood on the cross.(Romans 3:25 New Living Translation) Please pay our ransom.Because you are aware that God paid a price to redeem you from the meaningless existence you inherited from your ancestors, you are grateful.

And the ransom he paid was not just a simple sum of money in gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the blameless and spotless Lamb of God, that was spilled on the cross.According to the New International Version of 1 Peter 1:18-19, they sung a new song, saying, ″You are worthy of taking the scroll and opening its seals because you were murdered, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and country…(Revelation 5:9, English Standard Version) Sin must be washed away.In contrast, if we are living in the light, just as God is in the light, we are able to enjoy communion with one another and are cleansed of all sin by the blood of Jesus, God’s Son.(1 John 1:7, New Living Translation) Please forgive us.

  1. Indeed, according the law, practically everything is cleaned via the spilling of blood, and there is no remission of sins without the loss of blood.
  2. Free ourselves…
  3. and ourselves from the clutches of Jesus Christ.
  4. As the loyal witness to these occurrences, he is also the first to rise from the grave, and he reigns over all of the monarchs of the world as their ruler.
  • All honor and glory go to the One who loves us and has set us free from our sins by spilling his blood on our behalf.
  • (Revelation 1:5, New Living Translation) Justify your position.
  • As a result, we have now been justified by his blood, and we will be rescued even more by his blood from the wrath of God in the future.
  • (Romans 5:9, English Standard Version) We must purify our guilty consciences.
  1. People’s bodies might be cleansed of ritual impurity using the blood of goats and bulls, as well as the ashes of a young cow, according to the ancient method.
  2. Consider how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful acts, allowing us to worship the real God in the presence of others.
  3. Because Christ sacrificed himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins via the power of the everlasting Spirit, we may have peace with God.

(Hebrews 9:13-14, New Living Translation) Please cleanse us.As a result, Jesus likewise suffered outside the gate in order to purify the people by shedding his blood on their behalf.(Hebrews 13:12, English Standard Version) Make a pathway for God’s presence.Your union with Christ Jesus, however, has taken place.

  • You were once separated from God, but now you have been reconciled to him through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
  • (Ephesians 2:13, New Living Translation) As a result, dear brothers and sisters, we have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place in heaven because of the blood of Jesus.
  • Give us peace, says the Bible (Hebrews 10:19 NLT).
  • In other words, God in all of his fullness was happy to dwell in Christ, and it was through him that God brought everything back into harmony with himself.
  1. By the blood of Christ shed on the cross, he was able to make peace with everything in heaven and on earth.
  2. Colossians 1:19-20, New Living Translation Overcome the adversary And they overcame him through the blood of the Lamb and the testimony of their lives, and they did not love their lives to the point of dying.
  3. (Revelation 12:11, New King James Version)

The Precious Power of the Blood: Five Benefits Christ Purchased for You

There’s pow’r, pow’r, and wonder-working pow’r everywhere.Invested with sacred blood from the Lamb When I hear these words, a flood of happy memories floods my head. When I was younger, we used to sing them in church all the time, bouncing up and down on our toes.Toe-bobbers were the most popular church tunes in the South.

My father, on the other hand, appeared to enjoy ″Power in the Blood″ the most.I could tell he was going to sing a little louder than usual on this one, and I was going to do the same.I believe the entire congregation sang with greater fervor than normal, but I couldn’t hear them very well since the two of us were lifting our voices at the same time.

Christians of different denominations and political persuasions accept that the blood of Jesus has real power.Word- and Spirit-shaped souls instinctively know this, but have you ever stopped to consider how they know it?Is it true that the magic blood exists? So, if there is power in his blood, how can we account for the reality that exists? In celebrating this wonder-working pow’r, what truths are hidden beneath the surface of the waterline?

What Does the Blood Do?

From the Old Testament sacrificial system (and its blood) to the new covenant and Jesus’ once-for-all sacrifice, the New Testament letter to the Hebrews serves as a transitional text (Hebrews 9:7, 12).Throughout the Bible, blood denotes life (for example, in Genesis 9:4), while the spilling or shedding of blood represents death (for example, in Genesis 9:5).(Leviticus 17:11, 14; Deuteronomy 12:23).Given that the fair punishment for human sin against God is death (Romans 6:23), the death of sanctioned animal sacrifices, via the offering of their blood, served to temporarily substitute for the demand of death on the part of sinners.

Despite this, the high priest was had to return year after year, ″repeatedly″ (Hebrews 9:7; 9:25), since ″it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to wipe away sins,″ as the Bible states (Hebrews 10:4).The repeated animal sacrifices served only to postpone the inevitable, allowing God’s fullness of time to arrive. It is certain that there will be an ultimate retribution for sin.

Christians, of course, believe and celebrate that the time has arrived for the reckoning to take place in Christ and under the parameters of a new covenant. It was Jesus’ willing ″offering himself″ (Hebrews 9:14) by ″once for all″ shedding ″his own blood″ (Hebrews 9:12) that brought the temporary covenant that came before (the old covenant) to its intended conclusion and inaugurating in its place a ″eternal covenant,″ (Hebrews 13:30), which we refer to as the new covenant. The book of Hebrews commemorates some of the specific blessings Christians have received as a result of Jesus’ blood (Hebrews 10:19; 13:12), but it is the apostle Paul, in particular, who commemorates the abundance of grace that has been extended to us as a result of Jesus’ blood. In a general sense, every divine favor that comes to us may be traced back to Jesus’ blood, but Paul makes the link explicit five times, each time mentioning both blood and a specific feature of what Christ has secured for us through his sacrifice.

Propitiation: To Remove God’s Righteous Wrath

According to Romans 3:25, Jesus is the one whom ″God presented as a propitiation via his blood, to be received by faith.″ Because God is righteous, the sins of his people constitute a significant impediment to his purposes. He has chosen to love us out of compassion and grace, but he cannot put our transgressions, which are acts of cosmic treason against him, under the rug of the cosmos because they are acts of cosmic treason against him.Consequently, he devises a solution to fulfill justice while also triumphing in mercy, all out of love.It is God himself, in the form of his own Son, who takes on human flesh and blood and gives himself in the place of sinful people, accepting the rightful wrath of God and paying our punishment in his death, all for the sake of our salvation.

He then expiates his rightful anger, defends divine justice, and opens the floodgates of compassion by his blood, which represents the sacrificial sacrifice of his life in the place of those who deserve death (and who have ″accepted through faith″).

Justification: To Extend God’s Full Acceptance

″We have now been justified by his blood,″ according to Romans 5:9.Justified is the lingua franca of the courtroom. The prosecution and defense both make their case, and the judge or jury makes a decision: either the defendant is found to be innocent or guilty. The defendant is either found guilty as charged or proclaimed to be in good standing with the law — that is, justified — depending on the circumstances.

Those who are joined to Jesus by faith are justified in part as a result of Jesus’ sacrificial and substitutionary death, which is described in the Bible. He gladly bled his own blood, not for his own crimes (which he did not have), but for ours (which he did not have). The shedding of his blood to atone for our sins made it possible for us to share in his righteousness by uniting us to him through trust in what he had accomplished.

Our sinfulness would stay unchecked if it were not for his blood.″Righteous,″ his Father said, but we were unable to stand with him at the last judgment and receive the same word as him.

Redemption: To Purchase Our True Freedom

″In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins,″ says Ephesians 1:7.″In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses.″ To redeem implies to purchase someone’s freedom or to ensure the liberation of someone who is enslaved. We were (and continue to be) held captive in spiritual captivity as a result of our misdeeds.Because of our transgressions of God’s law, we deserve the wrath of his omnipotent and righteous anger.

He sells our release from justice and from the power of Satan via the spilling of his blood, which cleanses us before God and absolves us from our crimes before him.Because of his sacrifice on the cross, Jesus ″disarmed the rulers and authorities and exposed them to public disgrace″ (Colossians 2:13–14), ″having forgiven us all our transgressions, by erasing the record of debt that stood against us with its legal claims″ (Colossians 2:13–14).(Colossians 2:15).

It was unforgiven sin that was the most powerful weapon the devils had against us, but when Jesus spilt his own blood in our place to forgive us of our sins, he set us free from their clutches. He rescued us from Satan, as well as from the record of debt and legal claims that had been placed against us.

Forgiveness: To Restore Our Best Relationship

These priceless topics, of course, are intertwined.Even though we’ve already seen how important forgiveness is, Ephesians 2:13 brings the significance of forgiveness front and center: ″now in Christ Jesus you who were were afar off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.″ The repair of humanity’s relationship with the divine is at the heart of this ″coming close.″ On a personal level, it is the establishment in Christ of personal access to and a relationship with God that we, as sinners, could never have obtained on our own.On a corporate level, it is the restoration in Christ of the connection with God for which we were created in the first place.God has placed a barrier between us and him as a result of our sin and disobedience against him.

He drew near to his covenant people, whom he called Israel, as a result of his old-covenant mercy. However, under the new covenant, he comes closer not to a certain ethnic group, but to everyone who believes in his Son and receives him in faith, no matter who they are or how far they have traveled. To be more specific, the statement ″drawn near by the blood of Christ″ speaks directly to the essence of what each of these heavenly gifts contained inside Jesus’ blood does for us: it takes us closer to God.

One of the best summaries of everything we’ve seen thus far concerning the power of Jesus’ blood is found in 1 Peter 3:18, which reads as follows: In order for him to bring us to God, ″Christ suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, so he could bring us to God.″

Pacification: To Make Peace with God Himself

At long last, the God-centered purpose of the consequences of Jesus’ blood is verified in their ability to bring about peace between God and his people.Colossians 1:19–20 explains that God reconciles his people to himself via Christ, ″creating peace through the blood of his cross.″ The fact that Jesus died on the cross had been implied in each of the previous instances, but now Paul makes it explicit. It is ″the blood of his cross″ that brings about the reconciliation of God and man.He made peace with a tool of purposeful and horrible torture and execution, and he accepted its consequences.

It was not by chance that Jesus shed his blood on the cross. This was not a haphazard death. As tragic as it was, it was done on purpose and with full knowledge of the consequences.

In spite of the fact that he was executed unjustly, his blood was shed on purpose upon the cross, both by sinful men and by the holy God-man himself. They took his life, and he sacrificed his life in return. This enabled Jesus to absorb the just anger of God, grant us full legal acceptance, purchase our genuine freedom, repair our most essential connection, and bring us into harmony with God himself in the process.Paul describes this as the means by which he was able to secure ″the church of God, which he won with his own blood,″ as he says elsewhere (Acts 20:28).

Precious Blood

Following the trial of blood in Paul’s letters, we begin to see an ocean of grace in that last line of the familiar chorus: There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r / In the precious blood of the Lamb.Precious, indeed. That pairing of precious with Jesus’s blood comes from the apostle Peter: You were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.(1 Peter 1:18–19) It is fitting to sing of his blood and, in doing so, celebrate all the riches represented by it.

When we add precious in that final line, we’re not just adding two additional syllables to make the cadence work with the tune. His blood is truly precious to us.Infinitely valuable.

Because Christ himself, and God himself in him, is precious to us.And because the blood of Christ, more precious than any other means, fulfills our deepest aches and longings in God, not just temporarily but finally and forever.

20 Things the Blood of Jesus Does

  • This post is an extract from my upcoming book, Jesus Now: Unveiling the Present-Day Ministry of Christ, which will be released in September. Throughout the book, there are other lists such as this one, which stress the seven dimensions of Christ’s present-day ministry. Here are the twenty things that the Blood of Christ does. It is a sin-forgiveness ritual (Matt. 26:28 NKJV)
  • Those who consume it will live (John 6:53), and we will live in Christ and Him in us (John 6:56). It is the means by which Jesus purchased the church (Acts 20:28)
  • it is the means by which Jesus becomes our atonement through faith (Rom. 3:25)
  • it justifies us and saves us from God’s wrath (Rom. 5:9)
  • it brings those who were far away from God near to Him (Eph. 2:13)
  • It is the way by which Jesus cleanses us (Rev. 1:5
  • 7:14 KJV)
  • it is the means by which we conquer the accuser of the brethren (Rev. 12:10–11)
  • and it is the means by which we defeat the accuser of the brethren (Rev. 12:10–11).

Thank God for the ″precious blood″ of Christ (1 Peter 1:19), the ″sprinkled blood″ of Christ (Heb.12:24), the blood of ″the new covenant″ (Luke 22:20), and the ″blood of the eternal covenant″ (Heb.12:24) shed on our behalf by Christ (Heb.13:20).

″The vitality…is in the blood,″ says the narrator (Lev.17:11).

Covered by the Blood of Jesus

The majority of us have either contemplated or made the decision to give blood at some point in our lives or another. We were aware that blood banks need a sufficient supply in order to be able to offer this life-giving fluid in times of crisis. Our bodies may require blood at some point, and it is comforting to know that there are supplies accessible in case this happens to us.Blood cannot be produced in a medical setting.

While considering Jesus, we may not immediately picture Him as someone who would physically donate blood in order for us to have a bodily transfusion. His blood spilt for us during His agony and ultimate sacrifice on Calvary, however, does far more than simply keeping us from death. Is the phrase ″covered by the Blood of Jesus″ something you’ve heard before?

When Israel was covered by the Blood

When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague will not come upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt, according to the Word of God in Exodus 12:13.The blood will serve as a symbol (sign) on the dwellings where you are staying. In addition, according to Exodus 12:7, the blood of an immaculate lamb is applied to the two side posts and the top door posts of each dwelling, respectively. It’s possible that you’ve noticed that the positions of these three points correspond to the positions of Jesus’ head and hands on the crucifixion.

As is always the case with God, nothing happens by chance.Read the entire book of Exodus 12 to find out what happened.

What did the blood on the doorpost do?

It enabled the Hebrews to be released and set free (from Egyptian slavery), it protected them from death (God’s punishment), it marked them for life (Passover is observed annually as a reminder), and it recognized them as God’s offspring (God’s Chosen people). As a result, in the Old Testament, the immaculate lamb served as the blood donor for the Hebrews, and they were covered by the blood of the lamb — protected and delivered. As a result, we have a significantly larger blood donor! We have Jesus to rely on!

He is God’s acceptable, flawless, and immaculate offering — the sacrificial Lamb on which we depend for salvation!

What does being covered by the Blood of Jesus do for you?

It enabled the Hebrews to be released and set free (from Egyptian slavery), it protected them from death (God’s judgment), it marked them for life (Passover is commemorated annually as a reminder), and it recognized them as God’s offspring (God’s Chosen people) For this reason, in the Old Testament, the Hebrews received blood from a spotless lamb, and their blood covered them – protecting them and delivering them.We now have a far larger pool of potential blood donors to draw from.God has provided us with Christ. He is God’s acceptable, flawless, and immaculate offering — the sacrificial Lamb on which we depend for salvation.

  1. The blood atones for the sins of the world. ″For the life of the body is in the blood. for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul,″ says Leviticus 17:11, while Isa. 53:10 talks of Jesus’ life being offered as a sacrifice for sin. In Heb. 10:4, the Bible makes it plain that the blood of animals cannot atone for our sin
  2. instead, Jesus’ blood brings about a new covenant with the Father. As recorded in I Corinthians 11:24-25, Jesus proclaims to His followers at the Passover dinner the night before his betrayal that the cup represents a new covenant in His blood, and that the blood of Jesus saves those who trust in Him. ″. while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,″ according to Romans 5:8. It was as if we had never sinned because of his blood sacrifice. The fact that we are justified by His blood is confirmed in verse 9. Instead of seeing our sins, when God looks at us, he sees the blood of Jesus covering us.
  3. As Christians, the blood of Jesus purchases our redemption. It is confirmed in Ephesians 1:7 that we have redemption by His blood in Him.
  4. Christians are brought closer to God as a result of the blood. According to Ephesians 2:13, we, as Gentiles, were formerly separated from the Hebraic covenant, but have now been brought closer by the blood of Messiah, Jesus. The dividing wall between Jews and Gentiles has been demolished, according to verse 14.
  5. The blood of Jesus brings believers back into right relationship with God. According to Col. 1:20, all things have been reconciled to God as a result of the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. Because of His sacrificial love on the cross – the spilt blood of Jesus – we have been reconciled, and this is not due to anything we have done on our own.
  6. The blood elevates believers to the status of kings and priests. It is said in Rev. 1:6 that He who loved us and wiped away our sins with His blood has made us kings and priests before God, the Father.
  7. His blood cleanses the believer’s mind of all traces of evil. The Bible teaches in Heb. 9:14 that ″the blood of Christ, who by the everlasting Spirit sacrificed Himself without blemish to God, purifies our hearts.″ Why? So that we can better serve God.
  8. It is because of the blood that we, as Christians, have the audacity (confidence) to enter the Holy of Holies. The book of Hebrews (10:19) affirms that the spilling of Jesus’ blood has made this possibility possible. With the blood of Jesus, we may approach the most personal area with God and never feel inadequate or humiliated since we have been cleansed from ALL sin. 1 As it says in John 1:7, ″If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, the Messiah, purifies us from all sin,″ we have fellowship with one another because we are walking in light.

Covered by the Blood = Love Beyond Comprehension

Christ’s selfless love is beyond our comprehension. He willingly left His royal position in Heaven to be born of a woman and take on the form of a man, ministered for three and a half years to reveal the love of God to all, and willingly offered Himself to die in our place for sin penalties that were never attributed to Him.He paid the price for our bodily and spiritual life, and the good news is that His holy, clean, and immaculate blood washed away ALL of our transgressions.Your sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus!

The following verses are probably well-known to most of us, but they are worth repeating. The work of the Messiah, Jesus, is described in Isa.53:1.

He endured our ailments and carried our sorrows, as it states in verse four.We learn in verse 5 that He was wounded for our trespasses, bruised for our iniquities…, and that it is through His stripes that we are healed. It is apparent that our Eternal Blood Donor’s work is described in this way.He gave everything He had to acquire everything He wanted us to be.When we accept His valuable gift, His blood is applied to our earthen vessels in the same way that the blood of the Lamb was applied to the Hebrews’ houses in Egypt when they were faithful in doing so.The book of John 15 gives a beautiful picture of what it means to be covered by the Blood of Jesus.

  1. When Jesus states in verse 13, ″Greater love has no one than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends,″ He is confirming the power of His spilt blood.
  2. ″You are my friends if you obey my commands,″ He adds in Verse 14, referring to those who follow his orders.
  3. At times, we believe that we are destined to fail no matter how hard we strive to obey His rules.
  4. What gives Him the right to call us His friends?
  • But keep in mind that God is not on the lookout for occasions to blame us.
  • That is the work of the accuser, the adversary who, as we know from Revelation 12:10, has been defeated.
  • God bless you and your family as you celebrate the victory of the blood over him and us.
  • Jesus refers to us as friends, and he claims that he no longer refers to us as servants because we understand what our Master does.
  1. Jesus shared all He had learned from His Father with His followers, and this includes sharing it with us.
  2. We are members of God’s family!
  3. Take a minute to express gratitude to God for the protection provided by the Blood of Jesus!

What does the blood of Jesus do for us?

There are so many things! There is no way that you or I could be saved aside from the spilling of Jesus’ blood, which is why the blood of Jesus is so important to our salvation in the first place.Heretical is any religion or teaching that downplays the significance of Jesus Christ’s blood, which was truly shed on the cross of Calvary, and substitutes it with his mere death or with wine as an alternative. The shedding of Jesus’ blood: Sins that have been forgiven – (Mat 26:28) For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for the forgiveness of sins on behalf of many people.

Sins are removed when they are forgiven. It was as if John the Baptist stated it himself: ″Behold, God’s Lamb, which takes away the sin of the world.″ When he gave his blood for them, he was able to take them away. The church was purchased – (Acts 20:28) Keep watch over yourself and over all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost has appointed you as overseers, in order to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood, as a result of this.

Did you note that the blood Jesus sacrificed in order to purchase the church was God’s blood as well as his own?He was, after all, God manifested in the flesh! We are to perform those things that will bring him glory since he purchased us (1 Cor 6:19-20).Propitiates are those who help others (Rom 3:25) He is the one whom God has appointed to be a propitiation by faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the forgiveness of sins that have been committed in the past, and to do so through the forbearance of the Father.Propitiation is another word for appeasement. Before we were saved, each and every one of us was under the wrath of God (Jn 3:36).

  1. By placing our trust in the spilt blood of Jesus, God’s anger against us was appeased, and we were delivered from his wrath (Rom 5:9).
  2. Justifies the use of – (Rom 5:9) Much more, because we have now been justified by his blood, we will be rescued from wrath by means of him.
  3. We have already been tested for our sins and found not guilty because Jesus carried them in his own body on the cross and paid the penalty for them in full.
  4. To be justified by Jesus’ blood implies that we have already been tried and found not guilty (2 Pet 2:24).
  • Obtains a refund – (Eph 1:7) Who, according to the riches of his generosity, has provided us with redemption by his blood and the forgiveness of our sins.
  • We were devil’s children because we were sinners (1 Jn 3:10).
  • By spilling his blood, Jesus purchased us freedom from the devil and transformed us into God’s children (Jn 1:12).
  • Makes it to the end – (Eph 2:13) By the blood of Christ, those who have been separated from Christ have been brought closer to one another.
  1. We were severed from the covenant of promise that God had created with Israel before we were redeemed, and we had no hope in the world and no relationship with God.
  2. During our salvation experience, the blood of Christ enrolled us into the covenant of promise and pulled us closer to the God who had previously been absent from our lives, providing us with hope for the first time in our lives (Rom 8:24).
  3. It brings about calm – (Col 1:20) Having established peace via the blood of his cross, he has promised to reconcile all things to himself; I say, whether they be things on the earth or things in heaven.

As evil sinners, we were unable to find serenity (Is 48:22).Having been reconciled to God via Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, we were at peace with God when he poured his blood and we were rescued (Rom 5:1; 2 Cor 5:18).Efforts to purge – (Heb 9:14) In what way is it possible that the blood of Christ, who by the eternal Spirit presented himself without stain to God, will not also purify your conscience from dead deeds in order for you to serve the live God?Our consciences were bad (Heb 10:22), having been polluted (Tit 1:15) and scorched by sin before we were redeemed (1 Tim 4:2).

  • However, when each of us had embraced Jesus, we could plead the blood, and God would apply it to our conscience, purging it of those previous sins and cleaning it up, so giving us a clear conscience and giving us peace of mind (1 Pet 3:16).
  • You can now plead the blood and beg God to cleanse your conscience so that you can continue to serve him whenever you are burdened by those previous evil deeds, rather than reliving the past.
  • Sanctifies a place – (Heb 13:12) As a result, Jesus likewise suffered outside of the gate in order to sanctify the people with his own blood.
  • In order for someone to be utilized by God, he or she must be cleansed and separated from the rest of society.
  1. That occurs as a result of the blood of Jesus being shed for you.
  2. What other way could God have used a previous killer of Christians to write most of the New Testament and create churches all throughout Asia Minor, bringing men and women to faith in Jesus via his preaching?
  3. (1 John 1:7) However, if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:8).
  • Every time you sin, both your body and your spirit become dirty as a result.
  • In order to wash your flesh and soul of this filthiness, you must first find a means to cleanse yourself of it (2 Cor 7:1).
  • God has provided us with the blood of Jesus Christ in order to deal with this particular issue.
  • Washes are a type of cleaning that is done on a regular basis (Rev 1:5) From Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the prince of the kingdoms of the earth, we pray: To him who loved us and washed us clean from our sins with his own blood, we give thanks.
  • The Bible says that ″even if your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow″ (Is 1:18).

The blood of Jesus is the substance that gives them their whiteness and cleans them.As a result of these verses, it is clear that the blood of Jesus Christ is very necessary. We would not be saved and we would not be able to enjoy the advantages of salvation on this side of eternity if it were not for it.I hope this has been of assistance.Pastor Bevans Welder (Pastor Bevans Welder)

The Power and Importance in the Blood of Jesus

Blood may be seen throughout the Bible, but what does Christ’s blood represent to us is less clear. When we arrive in the country, thou shalt fasten this string of crimson thread to the window through which thou let us in by…As for anybody who comes into your home and is with you, his blood will be on our heads if any hand is placed upon him.Joshua 2:18-19 (NASB) She was a prostitute in the city of Jericho, and the lady addressed in this chapter was named Rahab.

Because of her city’s location, when the Israelites took possession of the country, she was doomed to be destroyed along with it.However, by simply tying a crimson thread to the inside of her window, she was delivered and her life was revolutionized. This rope symbolized the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and it pointed to the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, who was crucified on the cross.

In reality, the whole Bible is about Jesus Christ and His blood salvation, and you will see this crimson thread running through the entirety of God’s written Word.

The Prophesy of the Blood of Jesus

He or she is disclosed from the very beginning of recorded human history. When Adam and Eve sinned, God shed innocent blood in order to provide them with clothing made of animal skins to cover their nakedness (Genesis 3:21).This is a representation of the covering of righteousness that we get as a result of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf. In Genesis 4, we learn that Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel, who were separated at birth.

They were driven by an instinctual need to worship God.Cain offered up the produce of the earth as a sacrifice. The fact that God wanted blood had previously been understood by Abel, who thus brought a lamb.

God accepted the blood of Abel’s lamb, but He refused to accept the blood of Cain’s lamb. Why?Because ″there is no forgiveness of sins without the spilling of blood″ (Hebrews 9:22).(Hebrews 9:22).And God instructed Abraham to offer up his long-awaited son Isaac as a sacrifice (Genesis 22).Just as Abraham was about to thrust the knife into the throbbing heart of his son, an angel intervened and prevented the attack.

  1. Abraham came upon a ram that had been entangled in a bush.
  2. Isaac was set free, but in the process, the blood of an innocent animal was shed.
  3. God desired to free His people from slavery in the country of Egypt at that point in time.
  4. God gave each household the instruction to slaughter a lamb and place the blood on their door on the night of the Passover.
  • According to Exodus 12:13, God replied, ″When I see the blood, I will pass you across.″ And thousands upon thousands of sheep, oxen, turtle doves, and other animals were slaughtered and their blood spilled as sin offerings in the tabernacle and afterwards in the temple, respectively.
  • Finally, on the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ died for all of mankind.
  • His death was the culmination of all of the prophecies and promises made to him.
  • According to Revelation 13:8, He was killed before the foundations of the world were established.
  1. He came to die; He planned to die; He lived to die; and He was born to die.
  2. He came to die because he wanted to die.
  3. As we’ve seen, the blood of Jesus is referenced throughout the Bible.

What is the significance of the Blood of Jesus for us today?

The Power of the Blood of Jesus

His blood is the only thing that can save us.There was a price against us that we were unable to pay, but the blood of Jesus paid the price for our redemption.1 Peter 1:18-19 reads, ″Forasmuch as you are aware that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, keep this in mind.″ Rather, with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or stain.″ His blood is the means by which we are brought into communion with God.Nevertheless, as Paul writes in Ephesians 2:13, ″you who were at one time afar off are brought near by the blood of Christ.″ Man is a long distance from God if he does not have the blood of Christ.

God is reconciled as a result of his blood.Man is, by his own nature, at conflict with God, and we can only approach to God on His conditions of peace, which is via the blood atonement. In Colossians 1:20, the Bible states that ″and, having made peace through the blood of His cross, He has committed Himself to reconcile all things unto Himself.″ His blood purifies the body.

Not only does it erase the punishment for sin, but it also removes pollutants from the environment. No matter what sin you have done, ″the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin,″ says the Bible (1 John 1:7).His blood grants him authority over the demon. The blood is what Satan is afraid of.″And they defeated him with the blood of the Lamb,″ according to Revelation 12:11.The devil does not want you to become aware of the existence of blood.

  1. He despises it!
  2. God had already made up His mind in His heart that He would send His Son to die on the cross long before our planet was even thrown into outer space.
  3. What a joy it is to follow the red thread of Christ’s blood as it weaves its way across the pages of Scripture!
  4. How much more beautiful it would be to directly see its restoration.
  • God is to be praised for the blood of His Lamb!

3 Problems Only the Blood of Jesus Can Solve

In previous blogs, we addressed how Christians may be completely confident that they are saved and that they would never lose their salvation. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, we were forgiven of our sins and cleansed of our transgressions. However, even though our salvation is everlasting, we continue to commit sins even after we have been rescued. In numerous occasions during our everyday lives, we disobey God or fail to meet His expectations.

After all, according to 1 John 1:8 (which was written to Christians), ″If we declare that we have no sin, we are misleading ourselves, and the truth is not in us.As a result of our sin, three difficulties arise, involving three different parties: God, ourselves, and Satan.Let’s take a look at these issues and the one and only remedy to each of them: the shed blood of Jesus.

1. We’re separated from God

What happens between ourselves and God when we sin is described in Isaiah 59:1-2: ″No, Jehovah’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so heavy that it cannot hear.″ Your sins, on the other hand, have created a barrier between you and your God, and your transgressions have obscured His face from you, making it impossible for Him to hear you.″ As a result of our transgressions, we are separated from God, who is holy and utterly righteous. It does not take committing a severe crime to for us to be separated from God; even uttering a small untruth can establish a barrier between us and our Creator.Only the blood of Jesus has the power to remove this obstacle.

Solution: The blood of Jesus cleanses us from every sin

″But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son washes us from all sin,″ says 1 John 1:7 and 9.The Bible says that if we confess our sins, God is trustworthy and just to forgive us of our sins and wash us from all unrighteousness.By the blood of Jesus, we can be forgiven and cleansed of all of our sins forever. This eliminates the barrier that exists between ourselves and God.

However, we should take note of the fact that, in order for us to be forgiven, we must first confess our sins to God, as stated in these passages. The Bible says that when we confess, God is loyal and just to forgive and cleanse us because the blood of Jesus meets all of God’s legal and moral criteria.According to the New Testament Recovery Version’s Note 2 on verse 9, God is true to His word (v.

10) and righteous in the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ (v.11).(v.7).His message is the truth of His gospel (Eph.1:13), which informs us that He would forgive us our sins because of Christ (Acts 10:43); and the blood of Christ has satisfied His just requirements in order that He can forgive us our sins (Eph.

  1. 1:13; 1 John 1:9).
  2. (Matt.
  3. 26:28).
  4. If we confess our sins, He forgives us in accordance with His word and on the basis of our redemption by the blood of Jesus.
  • He must be loyal in His word and righteous in the blood of Jesus; otherwise, He would be unfaithful and unjust.″ Occasionally, even after confessing our sins to God, we may still not feel pardoned.
  • However, it is not our sentiments that determine whether or not we are forgiven; rather, it is the blood of Jesus that determines our forgiveness.
  • According to the Bible, if we confess our sins to God, we are forgiven and have the right to come openly before Him to seek His forgiveness and healing.
  • The barrier between us and Him has been broken, and we may once again enjoy communion with Him.

2. We have guilt in our conscience

Another major issue brought about by sin is the inward feeling of guilt we experience.Despite the fact that God is pleased with the blood of Jesus as payment for our sins, we may still be plagued with feelings of guilt.Because the crimes we commit leave a stain on our conscience, we must confess them. Our tarnished conscience is the source of our feelings of guilt.

Having a guilty conscience is a significant subject that requires careful consideration. We are all familiar with the debilitating effects that a guilty conscience can have on us.Nothing we do will be able to remove the stain from our conscience, no matter how hard we try.

Solution: The blood of Christ purifies our conscience

However, the solution to this difficulty is found in the Word of God.How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works in order to serve the living God?″How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works in order to serve the living God?″ ″The same blood that is necessary for God to forgive us also cleanses our conscience and removes the stain of sin from our souls.Jesus Christ’s shed blood has incredible power!

Following our confession of sins, we should simply stand on the Word of God if a sense of guilt persists in our hearts.″Thank You, Lord Jesus, for by Your blood, I have been pardoned and cleansed,″ we might say in prayer.I believe that Your blood may even purify my conscience, Lord, according to Your Word!

Thank You, God, that my sin has been fully wiped away by the blood of Jesus.″ The more we rely on the Word of God rather than our feelings, the more certain we are that the stain on our conscience has been removed.

3. We’re accused by Satan

Having dealt with our sins before God, we may meet another issue: an interior feeling of guilt about our transgressions. This is a problem that we must deal with. This allegation has the potential to become like a big cloud hovering over our heads, depriving us of all sense of calm.Despite the fact that we understand we have been forgiven by God and that our conscience has been cleansed, we may nevertheless be plagued by the lingering accusation and continue to hold ourselves responsible for what we have accomplished.

This feeling may lead us to confess our fault to God a second time, believing that we did not confess deeply enough the first time, or that we did not feel guilty enough the first time. The charges, on the other hand, will not be dispelled no matter how many times we confess the same fault to God.What is the reason behind this?

It’s critical to understand where these charges are coming from before responding. They are not sent by God.We’ve seen that God’s faithfulness and righteousness obligate Him to forgive us when we confess our sins to Him.The allegations do not originate from our own consciences, as well.It is by the blood of Jesus that we are cleansed from our sin-tainted conscience. So, where do these kinds of allegations originate from?

  1. They are said to have originated with Satan, according to the Bible.
  2. To be more specific, Revelation 12:10 states that ″the accuser of our brethren has been put down, who accuses them before our God day and night″ has been struck down.
  3. Satan is God’s adversary as well as our accuser.
  4. He spends his time denouncing the believers, which he does at all hours of the day and night.
  • His purpose is to make us feel weak and perhaps paralyzed.
  • He wishes to deprive us of our pleasure of the Lord and all that He has done for us in the past.
  • Accusing him of wrongdoing will cause our communion with God to be hampered, and we will suffer a significant setback in our spiritual life.

Solution: We overcome Satan because of the blood of Jesus

  1. However, Revelation 12:11 instructs us on how to respond to Satan’s accusations: ″And they defeated him because of the blood of the Lamb.″ The following is the second note on this passage in the New Testament Recovery Version, which is instructive: ″The blood of the Lamb, which is shed for our redemption, answers all of the accusations leveled against us by the devil before God and grants us the triumph over him.″ (Hebrews 10:22) We must use this blood anytime we feel the accusation of the devil,″ says the pastor.
  2. The only way to be forgiven and cleansed of the stain of sin is for us to come before the Lord and confess our sins to him.
  3. However, if we continue to be harassed by unresolved charges relating to the same offense, we will be forced to take additional action.
  • Satan’s charges must be met with a resounding ″NO!″ and the entire efficacy of Jesus’ blood must be declared to him in response.
  • To bring Satan, the one who accuses us, to justice, we must direct him to the blood of the Lamb.
  • In order to avoid falling prey to Satan’s charges, we must vigorously reject them.
  • In response to his allegations, we should simply reply, ″Satan, I reject your accusations.″ Take a look at Jesus’s shed blood.
  • God has been satisfied by Christ’s redeeming blood, my conscience has been cleansed by His cleaning blood, and you have been vanquished by Christ’s overpowering blood!″

Experiencing the blood of Jesus

  1. Our Christian walk will be transformed as a result of our faith in and experience of the efficacy of Jesus’ blood.
  2. Our separation from God, plagued by shame, and tortured by Satan’s charges do not have to last forever.
  3. In order to be forgiven and cleaned by the blood of Jesus, we must first confess our sins to God, then trust that God has forgiven us and has wiped our conscience of the stain of our sin.
  • We must even announce to Satan that we have been forgiven and washed by Jesus’ blood.
  • Jesus Christ’s shed blood is extremely valuable!

The Power of The Blood of Jesus – What you need to know

  1. This is something I can’t believe I’m saying, but unfortunately it’s true: people have forgotten about the power of the blood of Jesus.
  2. It’s not something you hear people shouting about anymore.
  3. Only a few handful are capable of doing so.
  • How could something that is so vital to us as Christians be completely ignored?
  • We have substituted the message of the victorious blood of Jesus with ″feel good″ sermons that are devoid of substance.
  • Because the devil doesn’t want people to know about the blood that destroyed him at Calvary and put him helpless, he must be behind all of this.
  • The goal is to put Christians like you in the same position as before: helpless and defeat.
  • And it was by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony that they were victorious over him…
  • Revelations 12:11 is a verse that states My sincere apologies for saying this, but if your Pastor does not speak about the blood of Jesus, you should consider finding another church.
  • We are living in difficult times, and you do not need to waste your time listening to nonsense speeches.
  • You are in desperate need of the truth and power of the gospel.

Why is the Blood of Jesus important?

  1. Because you are aware that God paid a price to redeem you from the meaningless existence you inherited from your ancestors, you are grateful.
  2. And it wasn’t paid in gold or silver, which quickly lose their worth as the metals age.
  3. It was the precious blood of Christ, the blameless and spotless Lamb of God, that was spilled on the cross.
  • 1 Peter 1:18-19 (English Version) Your sin, and the sin of the entire world, was paid for by the blood of Jesus on the cross.
  • Because of his sacrifice, you have been cleansed of the sin that has tarnished your life and kept you separated from God and on your way to hell.
  • This quotation from Charles Spurgeon is one of my favorites: It is morality that can keep you out of jail, but it is the blood of Jesus Christ that will keep you out of Hell.
  • Charles Spurgeon was a British clergyman who lived in the 18th century.
  • Death, according to the Bible, is the penalty for sinful behavior.
  • That was the amount of money that you were required to pay.
  • However, Jesus came and, with His precious blood, paid the
