Jesus’ Claims to be God – Yes, Jesus Said He is God

Sue Bohlin provides a solution to the topic of whether Jesus claimed to be God by evaluating the primary scriptural texts in which Jesus made such a statement.
This investigation conclusively demonstrates that Jesus was God and that he openly declared himself to be so.
The bottom conclusion is that Jesus made it quite plain that He and the Father are one and are God.
However, while this article does not provide an entire list of Christ’s claims to be God, it does address the most important of these claims.
I recommend that you read this with your Bible open, as I have not included all of the texts that are referenced.

Mark 2:11–12.

A paralytic is healed by Jesus.

He has the ability to forgive sins, which is something that only God Himself has the authority to accomplish.
Then, in order to prove His point, He healed the paralyzed as a demonstration of His power.

There is a very strong hint of Jesus’ divinity in the miracles that He accomplished (because no mere human can work actual miracles by his own power).

In John 10:24-39, Jesus alluded to miracles as evidence that he was revealing the truth about his claims.This text contains Christ’s own answer to the charge of blasphemy leveled against him by the unbelieving Jews (dishonoring God by claiming to be God).A magnificent promise is contained inside this passage, which states that once you have been saved, born again, or converted, you will never be able to lose your salvation again.In verses 28-29, it is said that we shall ″never expire; no one will be able to take them from My grasp.″ The power of my Father, who has given them to me, is stronger than all others; no one can take them from my Father’s grasp.

‘I and the Father are one,’ I declare.″ (This is another more emphatic declaration that He is God.) As Christians, we enjoy the certainty of everlasting security because we did not earn salvation; it was given to us as a gift (Ephesians 2:8,9).

During Christ’s trial, the chief priests confronted Him with the question, ″Tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God,″ and He responded affirmatively.

After which He stated, ″I am.″ (See Mark 14:60-62 for further information.) ″It is, in fact, as you say.″ (Matthew 26:63-65; Mark 10:6) ″You are absolutely correct in stating that I am.″ (Luke 22:67-70; Mark 10:67-70) Essentially, they are all various methods of stating the same idea, but they were written by different people.According to John’s gospel, Jesus’ discussion with Pontius Pilate is recounted (John 18:33-37).Pilate was curious as to whether or not He was the King of the Jews.After then, Jesus spoke about how His kingdom was not of this world but rather of another.In response, Pilate said, ″You are a king, then!″ ″You are correct in claiming that I am a king…″ Jesus said.

The fact is that he is the undisputed ruler of the entire universe.
Lastly, in John 10:11-18, Jesus declares that he is the Good Shepherd.
It becomes clear when you read this scripture in conjunction with Ezekiel 34:1-16 that Jesus was aligning Himself with God, who proclaimed Himself to be the Shepherd over Israel in that chapter.
The Jewish people, who lived in an agricultural and shepherding civilization, were familiar with and cherished this passage of the Old Testament because God was utilizing a metaphor that they could relate to on a daily basis.
There was no mistake that Jesus was claiming to be God when He stated, ″I am the Good Shepherd,″ and the entire John chapter so obviously paralleled the Ezekiel chapter.

John 4:25-26 (King James Version).This is the point at which the Samaritan woman, whom Jesus had met at the well, engages Jesus in a debate about ″living water.″ He identifies her evil way of life (information that He would not have known as a simple human bystander), and then He confesses that He is the long-awaited Messiah: ″I who speak to you am He,″ he declares.6.

The book of John (5:1-18).On the Sabbath, Jesus cures a crippled man, which the unbelieving Jews took exception to and earned Him a bad reputation.″My Father is always at work, and I am also working,″ he responded.

A well-known Jewish school of thought held that, although though God rested on the seventh day following Creation week, He continued to ″work″ in His loving, compassionate and just ways as well as in maintaining the earth’s ability to produce food and keep the sun moving, among other things.For better or worse, even if the producing had ceased, the upkeep continued—even on the Sabbath, and this was the only ″work″ that was permitted on that particular day.As a result, by working on the Sabbath, Jesus is placing himself on an equal footing with his Father.

And by referring to God as ″My Father″ (rather than ″Our Father″), he was asserting a level of intimacy with God that far outstripped that of everyone else on earth.So, in these two ways, he was elevating himself to the level of divinity.7.The book of John (16:28).I entered the world as a messenger from God the Father; now I am departing the world as a messenger from God the Father.″ Essentially, Christ is stating that He lived with the Father prior to being born.

It was via enveloping Himself in human flesh and being born as a baby that He ″entered the earth.″ In the course of His life and ministry, He was crucified and resurrected from the dead (all as part of the ″mission″), and then he returned to the Father in heaven, where He is now sitting at God’s right hand (see Revelation 22:12).(the place of honor).He is the only human who has ever lived prior to the formation of the universe.In other words, the fact that Christ existed in a ″pre-incarnate condition″ proves that He is God.

It is many people’s favorite argument for the divinity of Christ, including my own, and it is presented in this section.
Begin by reading the book of Exodus 3, when Moses encounters God at a burning bush.
God tells Moses that he is the one He has selected to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and Moses accepts the responsibility.

″Suppose I go to the Israelites and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?’″ Moses ponders with God.
″Suppose I go to the Israelites and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?″ ″Then what am I supposed to tell them?″ God responds to Moses by saying, ″I AM WHO I AM.″ What you are supposed to tell the Israelites is, ″’I AM has sent me to you.’″ I Am is God’s own name, and God has stated that His own name is ″I AM.″ Now…
a) Read John 8:56-58 in your Bible.
Jesus is speaking to a group of Jews who do not believe in him.
″Your father Abraham was overjoyed at the prospect of witnessing My day; he witnessed it and delighted.″ ″You are not even 50 years old,″ they pointed out to Him, ″and you have seen Abraham?″ they inquired.

I AM, I tell you the truth,″ Jesus declared, referring to the time before Abraham was born.
Jesus was the great I AM from the beginning of time; He was long before Abraham ever lived on the earth.
He is claiming to be the I AM of the Old Testament in this passage.
The Jews gathered stones to stone Him, according to verse 59, but the Lord Jesus managed to get away.
The reason they sought to stone Him was because stoning was considered the death sentence for blasphemy at the time of His execution.
The man was proclaiming himself to be the prophet Yahweh—Jehovah—All-Powerful God—I AM.

In any case, it was not blasphemy when Christ claimed to be who He really was!b) John 8:24 (KJV).In my last message, I warned that you would die in your sins; if you do not accept that I AM, you will die in your sins actually.″If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be…″, you may find the following in your Bible.The additional words have been added by the editors and are not included in the original text.If you’re familiar with the story of Exodus 3, you won’t need the extra words to understand what’s being said grammatically.

The Lord Jesus is asserting his divinity once more.
c) John 18:4, which is the fourth chapter of the Gospel of John.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Judas, together with a group of priests and soldiers, is going to arrest and imprison Jesus.

In light of all that was about to befall Him, Jesus walked out and questioned them, ‘Who is it that you want?’ They responded with the name ‘Jesus of Nazareth.’ Jesus declared, ‘I AM.’ The disciples backed away and fell to the ground as He exclaimed, ‘I AM.’″ Once again, it is possible that the editors of your Bible inserted ″I am″ to make the sentence grammatically correct.
When it comes to Greek, it simply says ″I AM.″ When Jesus claimed to be Yahweh (I AM), the force of his claim was so overwhelming that it literally knocked the arresting officers and Jewish priests off their feet.
The points listed above are by no means exhaustive, and they are provided to aid the reader in understanding that Jesus Christ is Lord because He is God, not because He is a human being.
In a similar vein, My final thought on the subject is a quote from noted author C.S.
Lewis from his classic, Mere Christianity, which I believe is one of the most powerful ever written on the subject: I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say.
A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.

He would either be a lunatic—on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg—or else he would be the Devil of Hell.You must make your choice.Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse.

You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon, or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God.But let us not come away with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher.He has not left that open to us.He did not intend to.

The term’son of man’ is also used frequently in the Hebrew texts when referring to individuals (Job 25:6; Psalm 80:17; 144:3; Ezekiel 2:1; 2:3; 2:6-8; 3:1-3).
God would not have done so because he would not have contradicted Himself by first stating that He is not the son of a man, and then becoming a human being who was referred to as ″the son of man.″ It’s important to remember that God is not the source of confusion.
Furthermore, human humans, including Jesus, are referred to as’son of man’ in order to separate them from God, who, according to the Bible, is not a’son of man.’ According to the Bible, Jesus denied that he is God.
Then Jesus talked to a man who had referred to him as ″good,″ asking him, ″Why do you refer to me as good?″ Except for God, there is no one who is good.’ (See also Luke 18:19) I asked him, ″Why are you asking me about what is good?″ he responded.
There is only One who is good; nevertheless, if you seek to enter into life, you must observe the commandments.’ (Matthew 19:17; Mark 12:17) Jesus did not teach his followers that he was the Son of God.
Assuming that Jesus was telling people that he was God, the guy would have received praise from Jesus.

As a result, Jesus scolded him, declaring that he was not good, i.e., that Jesus did not believe that he was God.
God, according to the Bible, is bigger than even Jesus.
‘My Father is more powerful than I am.’ ‘My father is bigger than all,’ says Jesus in John 14:28.

(See also John 10:29) If God is bigger than Jesus, he cannot be God, and vice versa.
The Christian doctrine that the Father and the Son are equal is in direct conflict with the plain teachings of Jesus on the subject.
″When you pray, say Our Father who art in heaven,″ Jesus never ordered his disciples to adore him.
″Our Father who art in heaven,″ he said.

(See also Luke 11:2) ‘On that day, you are not permitted to ask me any questions.Whatever you ask of the Father in my name, I will grant you.’ (See also John 16:23) ‘The hour has come, and the time is now, when sincere worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeks such to worship him,’ says the Bible.(See John 4:23.) If Jesus was God, he would have sought out worship for himself and for his followers.Due to the fact that he did not do so, but instead sought worship for God in the sky, he could not be considered God.

‘That they could know you, the one real God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent,’ Jesus said as he worshipped the one and only true God.
(See also John 17:3) ‘He continued to pray to God throughout the night.’ (See also Luke 6:12) For the same reason that the Son of Man did not come in order be served, but in order to serve,’ (See Matthew 20:28 for further information.) What was Jesus’ method of praying to God?
Then he bowed his head to the ground and prayed: ″My Father,″ the story goes.

(Matthew 26:39; Mark 12:39) Jesus sent up pleas and requests to the one who could save him from death with loud screams and tears during the days of his earthly existence, and he was heard because of his respectful obedience to the one who could rescue him from death.’ (See also Hebrews 5:7) When Jesus was thrown to the ground, who was he praying to?Was Jesus sobbing uncontrollably to himself, praying to be spared from the cross?No individual, whether normal or deranged, will ever pray to himself!Without a doubt, the response must be an emphatic ‘No’.Jesus was praying to ‘the one and only true God,’ according to the Bible.

Jesus was a servant of the One who sent him, and he was the Son of God.
Is there any more compelling evidence that Jesus was not God?
It is confirmed in the Quran that Jesus urged people to worship just the One and Only True God: ″It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; so, worship Him.″ ″This is a Straight Path,″ says the author.
According to the Quran (3:51), The disciples did not accept that Jesus was the Son of God.
The Bible’s Acts of the Apostles chronicles the activities of the disciples during a thirty-year period following Jesus’ ascension to the right hand of the Father.
At no point did they refer to Jesus as God over this entire span of time.

Peter, with the other eleven disciples, stepped before a multitude and declared: ‘Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you via miracles, wonders, and signs that God performed among you through him, as you yourselves know.’ (See Acts 2:22.) God’s servant, according to Peter (as affirmed in Matthew 12:18), and God has glorified his servant Jesus: ‘The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus.’ (See Acts 3:13 for more information.) ‘God brought up his servant,’ says the Bible.(See Acts 3:26.) ″We must obey God rather than man,″ Peter declared when confronted with opposition from the authorities.Jesus was resurrected by the God of our forefathers.

(See Acts 5:29-30 for further information).The disciples prayed to God in the manner in which they had been instructed by Jesus in Luke 11:2, and they regarded Jesus to be God’s representative.’They joined their voices in prayer to God,’ says the author.

‘Sovereign Lord,’ they said, ″you created the heavens and the earth and the sea, as well as everything that exists in each of them.″ ‘Your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,’ says the Bible (Acts 4:24).’of Your holy servant Jesus,’ according to Acts 4:27.’I am indeed a servant of God,’ says Paul in Acts 4:30.

(Al-Quran, verse 9:30) According to the Bible, Jesus served as God’s servant.’Behold, My servant, whom I have chosen, in whom My heart rejoices,’ declares the Lord.(See Matthew 12:18) Because Jesus is God’s servant, he cannot be considered God.According to the Bible, Jesus was unable to accomplish anything on his own: ‘The son can accomplish nothing on his own; he can only achieve what he sees his Father accomplishing.’ (See also John 5:19) ‘I am incapable of doing anything on my own.’ (John 5:30 a.m.) According to the Bible, Jesus did not believe himself to be on an equal footing with God, and God performed miracles through him.Jesus was also restricted in what he could accomplish: They were astounded, and they praised God for having given such authority to men.’ (See Matthew 9:8) A guy who has been confirmed to you by God via miracles, wonders, and signs that God accomplished through Him while you were present.’ (See Acts 2:22.) The Bible says that Jesus went about doing good and curing everyone who was plagued by the demon because God was with him.

If Christ were God, the Bible would simply state that Jesus performed the miracles himself, without making any mention of God or the supernatural.The fact that it was God who provided the power for the miracles demonstrates that God is greater than even Jesus himself.Furthermore, Jesus’ ability to perform miracles was restricted.The man was not healed the first time Jesus attempted to heal him, and Jesus had to try a second time before the man was healed (Mark 8:22-26).

Once upon a time, a woman was cured of her uncontrollable bleeding.
The woman walked up behind him and touched his coat, and she was instantly healed of her ailments.
However, Jesus was completely unaware of who had touched him: ‘At that moment, Jesus recognized that his power had been taken away from him.
In the midst of the mob, he turned around and said, ‘Who touched my clothes?’ (Matthew 5:30) There were no miracles to be performed there, except for the healing of a few sick persons by laying his hands on their bodies.

(Matthew 6:5) It goes without saying that someone with such restrictions cannot be God.
Jesus did not have the ability to perform miracles.
According to the Bible, angels came to Jesus’ aid when he was in need of assistance.
God, on the other hand, does not require any reinforcement.
God, on the other hand, does not require strengthening since God is All-Powerful.

If Jesus needed to be bolstered, he couldn’t possibly be God.
A heavenly messenger appeared to him in the Garden of Gethsemane, bringing him comfort and encouragement.
(See also Luke 22:43) As soon as the demon left him, ‘angels appeared and began to minister to Him’, says the Bible.
‘And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts, and the angels were ministering to him,’ says Mark 1:13, ″and he was tempted by Satan.″ (Matthew 1:13) According to the Bible, Jesus desired that God’s will be carried out, saying, ‘not my will, but Yours be done.’ (See also Luke 22:42) ‘I am not seeking my own will, but the will of Him who sent me,’ says the apostle Paul.
‘For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him who sent me,’ says the Lord Jesus in John 5:30.
(See also John 6:38) Is it possible that certain members of the coequal Trinity are subordinate to, and less than equal to, others?

Do they follow the directions of others without question, despite the fact that they have different wills (‘I do not seek my own will’), or do they query the directives of others (‘the will of Him who sent me’)?Jesus acknowledges that he has subordinated his own individual will, despite the fact that the Trinitarian theology states that they should all share the same will.Should one of the triune partners be forced to forego his or her own desires in order to fulfill the desires of another member of the Trinity?Should one of the triune partners be forced to forego his or her own desires in order to fulfill the desires of another member of the Trinity?Isn’t it reasonable to expect them all to have the same intentions?’I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father,’ says Jesus in the Bible, referring to himself and God as two witnesses.

(See also John 8:17-18:) ‘Do not allow your emotions to be disturbed.
‘Put your confidence in God, but also in me.’ (See also John 14:1) If Jesus had been God, he would not have treated God’s testimony as if it were separate from his own testimony.
According to the Bible, Jesus is God’s equal and submissive.

I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of every woman is man, and the head of Christ is God,’ says the apostle Paul.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 11:3 that In this way, the son himself will be subservient to the one who subordinated everything to him, allowing God to be the center of everything.’ The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:28 that According to the Bible, Jesus gained in wisdom and knowledge.
God, on the other hand, is All-Knowing and does not require instruction: Jesus increased in wisdom, but God is the only one who is smart.
He is ‘great and plentiful in power,’ and His comprehension is unfathomable.
(Psalms 147:5; 147:6) The Bible says, ″And Jesus increased in wisdom.″ (See Luke 2:52.) Even if God does not need to learn, Jesus did: ″Despite the fact that he was a son, he learnt obedience.″ (Hebrews 5:8) God, on the other hand, has limitless knowledge, but Jesus had limited knowledge.
Because Jesus did not know, he could not be considered all-knowing, and as a result, he could not be considered the God whose knowledge is all-encompassing.

The Father is the only one who knows the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven or the son.Only He knows what day it is or what time it is.(Matthew 13:32) God cannot be tempted ‘in every way – just as we are,’ according to the Bible, even if Jesus was tempted.

‘For God cannot be tempted by evil,’ says the Bible (Heb.4:15).(James 1:13; 2:21) Because God cannot be tempted, yet Jesus was, it follows that Jesus was not the Son of God.It is written in the Bible that Jesus’ teachings came from God, not from himself.

When they pressed Jesus for an explanation, he responded simply: ‘My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me.’ (See also John 7:16.) If Jesus had been God, he would not have spoken this since the doctrine would have been his to teach.
The Bible claims that Jesus died, yet God is unaffected by death.
Jesus died, according to what the Bible says.

God is incapable of death.
God is said to be immortal in Romans 1:23 and other passages of Scripture.
It is defined as ‘not susceptible to death’ in this context.
This phrase is reserved for God alone.
The Bible claims that Jesus was able to live because of God.
It is because of the Father that I am able to live.

(See also John 6:57) Due to the fact that Jesus was dependent on God for his own existence, he cannot be considered God.According to the Bible, Jesus was granted all of his powers: ‘All power has been given unto me.’ (Matthew 28:18; Mark 12:18) Everyone knows that God is all-powerful; no one can take away God’s abilities; otherwise, God would cease to be God because He would be weak.As a result, Jesus could not possibly be God.According to the Bible, Jesus was instructed and ordered by God: ‘As my Father hath taught me, I speak these things,’ Jesus said (John 8:28) I was given a mandate by the Father, who sent me,’ Jesus said.’I have obeyed my Father’s commands,’ says Jesus in John 12:49.

(See also John 15:10) God cannot be taught because else God could not be All-Knowing and would be obligated to His instructor.Due to the fact that Jesus was taught and instructed by God, Jesus cannot be considered God himself.A distinction exists between the instructor and the pupil, the commander and the commanded.The Bible claims that God created Jesus as ‘Lord’!

Jesus is now both Lord and Christ, according to God’s decree.(See Acts 2:36.) The term ‘Lord’ is used in a variety of contexts throughout the Bible, and persons other than God and Jesus are addressed as ‘Lord.’ As an illustration: Matthew 20:8 identifies two types of property owners: 1) landowners, and 2) heads of household (Mark 13:35) 3) the owners of slaves (Matt.10:24) 4) Husbands and wives (1 Pet.3:6) 5) A son addressed his father as ″Lord″ (Matt.21:30) 6) The Roman Emperor was addressed as ″Lord″ (Acts 25:26) 7) The Roman officials were referred to as Lords (Matt.

27:63) The term ‘Lord’ is not synonymous with the term ‘God.’ The title ‘Lord’ (from the Greek word kurios) is a masculine title of honor and nobility that appears numerous times in the Bible.If Jesus was God, then the Bible’s claim that he was’made’ Lord would be illogical and contradictory.According to the Bible, Jesus was on a lower level than angels.‘But we do see him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus.’ (Hebrews 2:9) God, the Creator of angels, can not be lower than His own creation, but Jesus was.

Therefore, Jesus was not God.Bible says that Jesus called the Father ‘my God’ ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?’ (Matt.27:46) ‘I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.’ (John 20:17) ‘the temple of my God the name of my God the city of my God comes down out of heaven from my God.’ (Rev.3:12) Jesus did not think of himself as God, instead Jesus’ God is the same as ours.

Bible says that God cannot be seen But Jesus was seen by others ‘no man has seen God at any time.’ (John 1:18) Bible says twice that Jesus was accused of being God But he denied it: According to the Bible, on only two instances the Jews opposed Jesus on the basis that he pretended to be God or equal with God.Had Jesus, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, claimed to be God, he is likely to have been opposed on this basis more frequently.Because in these two instances, when charged, in the one case, with making himself God, and in the other, with making himself equal with God, he denied the charges.In reply to the charge of being an equal with God, he says immediately: ‘The son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do’; and directly after ‘I can of mine own self do nothing.’ (John 5:19, 30) In answer to the charge of making himself God, he appeals to the Jews in substance thus: Your own Scriptures call Moses a god, and your magistrates gods; I am surely not inferior to them, yet I did not call myself God, but only the ‘son’ of God (John 10:34-36).(John 10:34-36).This is unlikely to have been Jesus’ actual response.

Yes! Jesus declared Himself to be the Son of God. On a number of instances, Jesus revealed that He was God in His own words. Here are a couple such illustrations.

John 5:18

Early in Jesus’ mission, the religious authorities realized that He had declared Himself to be on an equal footing with the Father.
As a result of Jesus’ healing of the man, a discussion ensued between him and the religious leaders, and we are told that the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him because He was not only breaking the Sabbath, but He was also addressing God as His own Father, thereby elevating himself to the status of god himself.
5:18 (John 5:18) (NAS95S) The religious establishment saw Jesus’ claim to be ″equal″ with God as an assertion of equality.
ISOS is the Greek word for ″equal,″ and it may be rendered as ″equals.″ ISOS is an abbreviation that denotes ″pertaining to something which is equal in quantity, size, quality, or other attributes.″ They realized that Jesus was claiming to be more than simply a human being at this point.
They, on the other hand, did not comprehend that Jesus was asserting that He was more than merely ISOS.

John 8:58

Jesus was attempting to assist them in comprehending that He was God.

John 10:33

The Jewish authorities finally grasped the significance of Jesus’ declaration that He is God a short time after that.
″I and the Father are one,″ says the Son.
The Jews gathered their stones once more to stone Him.
″I have shown you many excellent acts from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?″ Jesus responded to their question.
″We do not stone You for doing a good deed; rather, we stone You for blasphemy; and we stone You because You, being a man, make yourself out to be God,″ they said.
John 10:30-33 (New American Standard Bible) As a result of realizing that He was claiming to be God, the Jewish authorities intended to stone Him to death.

Blasphemy carried with it such a severe punishment.
In response, Jesus challenged them to provide a rationale for their behavior.
They responded by claiming that He had blasphemed.

Their response was succinct and to the point.
Those who opposed Him said that He was a human being and therefore could not be God.
They were aware that He was claiming to be the creator of the universe.
However, they rejected His word in the same way as others have.

People today may assert that Jesus never claimed to be God, but the religious authorities were certain that He did.This is something that many do not want to accept Jesus stated because they do not think He is the Son of God.The term ″Son of God″ was a phrase that implied that Jesus was the Son of God.When you examine John 10:33 and 10:36, you will see that it did not imply that Jesus was God’s son or that He was God’s daughter.

In John 10:36, Jesus Himself provided an explanation of the phrase’s significance.
Later on in John 19:7, the Jewish authorities exploited this argument against Jesus once more, this time to their advantage.

Other Statements

Immediately before Jesus’ ascension into heaven, the apostle Thomas declared this, to which Jesus responded with the words, ″My Lord and my God!″ 20:28 (John 20:28) (NAS95S) Why would Thomas make such a statement if Jesus had never told them that truth?
Thomas was certain that Jesus was God, and he publicly announced it.
In addition, take note of the lines written at the conclusion of 1 John.
The Son of God has come, and He has given us insight so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, through His Son Jesus Christ.
This is the genuine God, and this is the source of eternal life.

After witnessing Jesus walking on the water, His followers fell on their knees in reverence (Matthew 14:33).
When He came to them after the resurrection, they prostrated themselves at His feet and worshipped Him, as Scripture says (Matthew 28:9).
The disciples were well aware of the consequences of blasphemy under the Mosaic Law, but they continued to worship Jesus as God, and Jesus welcomed their devotion.

Colossians 2:9 – For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily 1 Timothy 3:16 – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
Titus 2:13 – looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ Hebrews 1:8-9 – But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” 2 John 1:7 – For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.

This is a deceiver and an antichrist.Revelation 1:8 – “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” say
