Using notification alerts on Apple Watch

One of the benefits of owning an Apple Watch is being able to check alerts without having to pick up your iPhone from its case. By default, these alerts are identical to the ones that are received to your iPhone or iPad. You may also customize your alerts, as seen in the example below.

Setting up notifications for Apple Watch

A significant difference exists between the way native and third-party apps handle alerts on Apple Watch in terms of responsiveness. When it comes to the former, there are specific configuration options available through the Apple Watch app for the iPhone. You can only toggle alerts on or off in the case of the latter. When you have your Apple Watch on your wrist and it is not locked, notification alerts display on the device. Using the swiping down feature on the watch, you may access any missed notifications.

Whenever there is an unread notification, a red dot will display at the top of the watch face when the Notifications Indicator is turned on (which is the default setting).

Only notifications from persons on your Favorites contact list will be displayed when Do Not Disturb is turned on in your phone. When this occurs, your Apple Watch continues to function as normal. In addition, when you lift your watch, the display will illuminate as well. When you choose Do Not Disturb, you’ll be given the option of deciding how long it should be active for (see below)
  • Theater Mode, on the other hand, shuts off all audio and vibratory signals completely (same as Silent Mode, see below). It should also be noted that the only method to turn on your watch during this time period is to tap on it’s screen.

How to Deliver Quietly

Deliverer Quietly, which was first released in iOS 12 and watchOS 5, is now available on both iOS and watchOS. On Apple Watch, you may use this feature to turn off notification pop-ups for certain applications on the fly, directing all notifications to the Notification Center instead. You may configure each app’s alerts so that they show on your Apple Watch in a way that is unique to you.

  1. Turn on your Apple Watch’s screen. The list of alerts is accessible by swiping down from the top of the screen. Swipe left on a notice to dismiss it. To use the button, press it. TapDelivery in a quiet manner.

Only alerts from that app will now appear in the Apple Watch Notification Center, and not any other notifications. In addition, from this screen, you may turn off alerts.
