How Powerful Is Jesus? Unlimited? Omnipotent? Infinite?

The Bible refers to “God Almighty” as “the Almighty.” How about theSonofGod, Jesus Christ, as an example? What kind of power does He wield? Consider this: those who regard Him as a diluted version of God the Father should reconsider their position! The Scriptures will be examined to show Jesus’ “every authority” and “infinite power,” which He is glad to exercise on behalf of those who love and serve Him. 17-18 (Matthew 28:17-18) When they saw him, they fell down and worshipped him. Afterwards, Jesus appeared to them and declared, “I have been given all power in heaven and on earth.” Acts 10:36 (New King James Version) Jesus Christ is the one one who is Lord of all.

Jesus revealed an incredible revelation to His followers just before He ascended back to His present position at the right side of God the Father in heaven: “ALL power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” What authority do you have?

What level of authority did the Father bestow on the rising Savior?

When you see anall in the Bible, my pastor in Alaska used to say, “Let your all be all.” He meant it literally.

Jesus is all-powerful, and nothing on the face of the world or in heaven can prevent it from being subjected to His “all authority.” In case we weren’t clear enough on this point, the apostle Peter provided a second statement of this beautiful reality when he declared, “Jesus Christ— He is Lord of all,” which means, “Jesus Christ is Lord of all.” Peter stated something similar while he was preaching to the Jews in Jerusalem: “God has made this Jesus, whom you killed, both Lord and Christ” (Acts 2:36, NKJV).

Let’s look at some examples from the Bible of how Christ’s Lord-of-all authority is shown in this world and in our personal lives.
When Jesus was on the world 2,000 years ago, he treated “every illness and malady” that existed among the people (Matthew 4:23; 9:35).
(Hebrews 13:8).
He is the Lord of everything, and he has complete authority over sickness, disease, and infirmity, among other things.
According to 1 Peter 2:24, Jesus not only carried our sins, but He also bore our diseases throughout His crucifixion and resurrection.
Consider allowing this fact to sink deeply into your soul and spirit: Jesus once and for all bore the burden of all of our ailments, afflictions, and infirmities on His shoulders.
Come in simple trust and fervent petition to the Savior who loves you, and he will hear your prayers.

Luke 4:18-19, verses 21 and 22, New King James Version It has been anointed by God to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal brokenhearted people, proclaim release to prisoners and sight restoration to the blind; He has sent Me to set at free those who are oppressed; He has sent Me to announce the Lord’s acceptable year.

He read from the prophet Isaiah’s writings, which included the passage above.
And we witness the Lord Jesus performing all of these things and more during His career, which is recounted in the Gospels.
In this instance, we witness His identical ability to heal the brokenhearted.
to liberate the oppressed, and so on.
Do you require physical rehabilitation?
Do you require the healing of a broken heart?
Jesus was there “for me,” as the saying goes.

Jesus is Lord over all of this, and he is always available “for you.” Allow His unending power to act on your behalf by praying a simple prayer of faith and coming to Him in that manner.

“Come out of this guy, you unclean spirit!” Jesus had cried to him earlier in the day.

“My name is Legion,” he said, “since we are numerous.”.

He granted them permission, and the filthy spirits poured out and entered the pigs’ stomachs.

This legion of demons appeared out of nowhere, according to Matthew’s narrative (8:32), and they joined the herd of pigs when Jesus merely shouted “Go!” The message here is that Jesus our Savior is indeed “Lord of all,” even over the vile devils of hell, which is a powerful statement.

What should we take away from this?

He is capable of and will provide protection against the devil and his demonic demons.

We are reminded by the apostle Paul in Romans 8:37-38 that, because of Jesus, “we are more than conquerors” (37), including over demons (38).

And He is overjoyed to deliver you victory over the devil in your battle against him.

Jesus was asleep on a couch near the stern of the ship.

He sprang to his feet, rebuked the wind, and commanded the seas to “Quiet!

Is there a raging tempest raging through your life right now?

Perhaps you have lost your job or possibly your home?

In prayer, express your gratitude to Him.

Be still!” command into the dreadful circumstances you are currently facing.

The storm will die down and become absolutely peaceful, just as it did there.

And you will undoubtedly come to recognize how effortlessly He may transform the situations in which you find yourself.

Hebrews 13:8 (Hebrews 13:8) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and for all of eternity.

It occurs to them that “Jesus accomplished all of this during His time on earth 2,000 years ago.” But I’m not confident that He will do it today, or even for me.” Refrain from thinking nonbiblical notions!

Today, He sits at the right hand of the Father in radiance and magnificence in the heavenly realms.

It is at this very now that the Lord Jesus Christ, the gracious Savior and beloved friend of your soul, is in heaven, offering you the totality of His redemption (He will “save totally”).

In fact, he’s completely on your side.

Hebrews 4:16 encourages and promises you that when you come to God’s throne of grace, “we will receive mercy and find grace to assist us in our time of need.” Jesus, our Lord and Savior, will hear your prayer and will bring His mighty power to bear on your behalf in order to meet your need.

You may have had a sense that God’s Holy Spirit was speaking to your heart as you were reading this.

Alternatively, you may be unsure whether you have or have not done something.

The good news is that Jesus is right there with you right now, waiting for you!

How powerful is Jesus?

When it comes to modern evangelicalism—a movement that claims to adhere to both scripture and tradition—one of the most difficult intellectual challenges is how to reconcile one’s commitment to a rationally constructed trinitarianism with the dominant apocalyptic narrative about Jesus that we find in the New Testament. Not that it can’t be done, but it’s really tough, in my opinion. Here’s an illustration: Following the resurrection, according to Matthew 28:18, Jesus declares that he has been granted all authority in heaven and on earth.

Nevertheless, because Jesus is God, he must have had this power “from the beginning of time”.
So what was the point of Jesus requesting authority that he already possessed?
Piper’s response exemplifies the gyrations to which theologians are sometimes forced to resort in their efforts to bring theology and historical interpretation into harmony.
God the Son already existing prior to the incarnation, but Jesus the God-man did not exist at that time.
Nevertheless, the God-man, Jesus Christ, had not yet died for sinners, and the sentence of condemnation that had been hanging over his people had not yet been taken away from Satan’s grasp via the shedding of his Son’s blood.
There are several issues to contend with.
Throughout the Gospel of John, it is simply stated that the creative Word or Wisdom of God, which was involved in the act of creation, became flesh in the life and work of Jesus.
The latent atonement idea is colorful and exaggerated in its claims.

As a result, two independent narratives have been forcibly inserted into one another: an orthodox christological narrative about Christ’s eternal existence as the second person of the trinity and a crudely expounded narrative about the Son who suffered as a result of Israel’s sins and was exalted to the right hand of the triune God.

While on earth, Jesus demonstrated control over disease, devils, and the natural order; after his resurrection, the resurrected Lord demonstrated authority over the monarchs of the earth, his adversaries, death, and the mission of the church, among other things.

First and foremost, the power that he possesses is always granted to him: as the Son of Man, he has been given the ability to cure the sick, drive out demons, forgive sins, govern the nations with a rod of iron, and so on.

Second, the power that Jesus has and wields is not total; rather, it is precisely constrained by the events of the apocalyptic story. This, I believe, can be proven by looking at a few significant scriptures from various parts of the New Testament, including Matthew, Paul, Hebrews, and Revelation.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me

When the resurrected Jesus appears to the eleven disciples on a hilltop in Galilee, they fall to their knees before him, albeit some of them are torn between loyalty and disloyalty. As he addresses them, he declares, “All authority (exousia) in heaven and on earth has been given to me,” and he commissions them to teach the nations in preparation for the conclusion of the period of Jewish history known as the Second Temple period (Matt. 28:16-20). Against this backdrop comes Daniel’s vision of the vindication of the “one like a son of man,” who is described as As well as royal power (exousia), he received the support of every country on the face of the globe, according to posterity, and he was surrounded by all honor.

It is Paul’s prayer that the saints in Ephesus will come to understand the “power” that was at work in the resurrection of Jesus, when God raised Jesus from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come; and “he put all things under his feet” and gave him as head above all things for the church, which is his body, (See my translation of Ephesians 1:20-23.) It amounts to a repetition of Jesus’ own remarks to the high priest during his trial: “The leaders of Israel will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven” (Matthew 24:36).

The fact that Jesus rose from the dead makes him both the son of man figure who comes with the clouds of heaven to receive an everlasting royal authority (Dan.

First and foremost, Paul does not claim that the elevated Jesus has complete control over (epi) all things in this passage.
According to Colossians 2:10, the phrase “head of every rule and authority” refers to the same thing.
The power entrusted to Jesus as the firstborn from the dead during the eschatological transition is principally intended to serve the aim of preserving the witness of the churches during the transition.
According to the story of Psalm 110, Jesus must reign at the right side of God until all of his adversaries have been defeated and destroyed, including the death of the last adversary.

The empire to come has been subjected to him

It is the same essential assertion that is stated by the writer to the Hebrews, but in much greater detail. The book of Revelation unquestionably portrays the political power of the exalted Jesus in a positive light. As the faithful witness to Israel, he was resurrected from the dead in advance of the resurrection of the righteous on the day of God’s wrath, and he has risen to become “the ruler of kingdoms on earth,” according to the Bible (Rev. 1:5). As such, he is specifically the one who is like a son of man, who arrives with the clouds of heaven, who has eternal reign, glory, and dominion, and who is the only one who can destroy the world (Rev.

In his capacity as YHWH’s anointed king—and as the Lamb authorized to open the scroll of judgment—he will judge and reign over the nations “with a rod of iron” (Rev.

I would go so far as to say that the apocalyptic narrative is entirely devoted to the question of Jesus’ authority as the Son of God: the righteous and obedient Son of Man suffers, is killed, but is raised by God from the dead, seated at his right hand, and given authority as a heavenly king to judge and rule over both Israel and the nations in the age to come.

The identity of the exalted Christ is determined not only by his relationship to the Father, but also by his relationship to those who will suffer in him, for the sake of his future rule over the nations of the Greek-Roman world, and by his relationship to those who will suffer in him for the sake of his future rule over the nations of the Greek-Roman world The New Testament, I believe, understands this epochal political action of the living God as the embodied or incarnated work of the creative Word or Wisdom of God, and that redescriptive shift steers us, not surprisingly, in the direction of the later trinitarian formulae, which are not unreasonable.

However, this development cannot be explained biblically, but only historically, which is good because history is what the Bible is all about in the first place!

Jesus is Powerful

You may not have given it much thought, but have you ever imagined what Jesus might look like if he walked into this room? I wish you and I had been as taken aback by this section as I was, but it has become so routine.

It was “Jesus’s understanding” that the Father had placed everything in His hands, that He had come from God, and that He would be returning to God.

So how does Jesus use his power?

Consider the instances in which you’ve witnessed men and women abuse their God-given authority. When it comes to your family, a board meeting, or a classroom, you can’t be stubborn and hard-headed. It is not power, that is not strength; that is a perversion of power, and it is abhorrent to the Lord Jesus Christ.

What does it mean that there is power in the name of Jesus?

When it comes to names, none are more powerful than the name of Jesus. God bestowed to Jesus the “name that is beyond all names” (Philippians 2:9). What is it about this name that is so compelling? He was able to accomplish this because of the sacrifice He made—by living a sinless life, dying a sinner’s death, and being raised from the dead. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved,” Jesus said, paving the path for all of mankind to be rescued and restored to good standing with God (Romans 10:13; cf.

There is nothing intrinsically strong about the word “Jesus.” Its force comes from Christ, the person who came into this world as God incarnate and established a path for us to be saved.

God honored Jesus’ sacrifice by bestowing upon him the most potent name known to man.

As a result, God has elevated him and given him the name that is above all names, so that at the mention of Jesus’ name, every knee should bend, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” The very mention of Jesus’ name prompts us to praise Him and give God the glory he deserves.

It takes faith to trust in the power of Jesus’ name, and faith is required (Hebrews 11:6).
The name of Jesus is the most potent name in the universe when used with faith.
If you ask me to accomplish anything in my name, I will, according to the Bible (see also 1 John 5:13–15), as Jesus states in John 14:14.
When we confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in Him as our Savior, we have the same power that He possesses, the power of the Holy Spirit, within us.

However, we can be certain that God will not acknowledge the power contained inside Jesus’ name unless it is accompanied by trust in Jesus Christ as Lord.

Rather, the Person of Jesus is the source of the power of Jesus’ name.

As Christians, we are completely persuaded of the authority that the name of Jesus possesses.

Christians live their lives from a point of honoring the power of Jesus’ name: “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3:16).

Because of the transforming power of Jesus’ name, it is possible for all individuals to be saved, healed, and delivered.

Why is Jesus So Powerful?

Easter is the time of year when Christians commemorate Christ’s victory over death and sin. We commemorate this line from the book of Revelation, in which Jesus declares, “I was dead, and now I am alive forever.” “I am in possession of the keys to Death and Hades.” (Rev. 1:17-18; Revelation 1:17-18) That is what we are celebrating: a Jesus who is full of power. It is when we perceive Jesus as weak that we feel ourselves as weak as His followers. People despised and despised Jesus. What do you suppose they were thinking as they nailed Him on the cross?

The Bible says, “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life in my name and for the gospel’s sake will find it.” Each and every chapter of Matthew is a description of the great Jesus.

If you adore your sin, if you adore your possessions, then don’t bother trying to follow me.

Take up your cross and carry it with you.

This Jesus, this mighty Jesus, who turned the Temple tables upside down, was mercilessly killed, and was afterwards risen from the dead.

This is the Jesus whom we venerate. 17-18: The book of Revelation states that “Do not be alarmed; I am the first and the last, as well as the living one. It seems as though I died, and yet, lo, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys to both Death and Hades in my possession.”

Why Is the Blood of Jesus so Powerful?

If you grew up in the church, it’s likely that you’re familiar with the concept of Jesus’ blood cleansing us from our sins. But what is it about Jesus’ blood that makes it so potent? Moreover, have we fully comprehended the gravity of Jesus’ sacrifice as well as the enormous privilege we have in being washed clean by the blood of the Lamb?

What Does the Bible Say about the Blood of Jesus?

Through the Old Testament, the only way for man to be cleansed of his sins was by the shedding of blood in animal sacrifices, since “it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” (Leviticus 17:11). However, animal’s blood is not potent enough to save humanity from the curse that has been placed upon them. Bringing about this restoration could only be accomplished by the spilt blood of God’s own divine lineage. Any other sort of blood would have been tainted to an unacceptable degree. What the Bible says about Jesus’ blood in Hebrews 9:12-14: “With his own blood, not the blood of goats and calves, he entered the Most Holy Place once and for all time, securing our salvation for all time.” People’s bodies might be cleansed of ritual impurity using the blood of goats and bulls, as well as the ashes of a heifer, according to the ancient method.

Jesus desired for us to be able to benefit from the power that His blood contained.
God’s blessings on your life: “And it was through him that God brought everything back to himself.” By the blood of Christ shed on the cross, he was able to make peace with everything in heaven and on earth.” Paul writes in Colossians 1:20.
“Let us give all thanks to God, who loves us and has set us free from our sins by pouring his blood on our behalf.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15.
“For you are aware that God paid a price in order to free you from the empty existence you inherited from your ancestors,” says the prophet.
God’s perfect Lamb, the innocent and impenetrable Lamb of God, shed his precious blood for us.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 is a passage of scripture.
And a complete restoration of connection with our heavenly Father: “But now you have been joined with Christ Jesus,” says the apostle Paul.

“You were once separated from God, but now, through the blood of Christ, you have been reconciled to him.” Paul writes in Ephesians 2:13 that he wants to be a blessing to others.

What Is the Purpose of the Blood of Jesus?

A rift was formed between humans and God as a result of the fall in the Garden of Eden. We were no longer able to communicate with our Creator as a result of our sin, and the only way we could be reconciled with Him was by the loss of blood, which was done through animal sacrifice. This blood would function as an atonement for our crimes, as well as a covering for them. This is emphasized in Hebrews 9:22, which reads: “In reality, according to the Law of Moses, practically everything was sanctified by the use of human blood.

Specifically, according to Leviticus 17:11, it is the “life of the body” that is “in the blood.” Instead of the real blood of the animal having power in and of itself, it was God’s acceptance of it that provided the blood with such power.

Our protection from the enemy and his demons will come from our faith in the blood of the Lamb. This blood shields us from the consequences of our misdeeds, allowing us to flee from the penalty of our sins. Jesus offered to be our Passover by laying down His life for us.

Why Should All Christians Know about This?

“Through the spilling of his blood, God offered Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, to be received through faith,” according to Romans 3:25a. This faith must be active and visible on a constant basis, as demonstrated by obedience, for faith without obedience is dead (James 2:17,James 2:22and 24). Because of our resistance and lack of trust, we cannot claim to be covered by Jesus’ blood if we move out from under its covering. In 1 Peter 1:2, Peter states that we have been chosen because of our “obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Christ.” Later, he informs us that we, as a holy priesthood, are responsible for “offering spiritual offerings acceptable to God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:5).

Once a year, the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies and sprinkled the blood of the animals along the mercy seat of the sanctuary.

The only method for the Priest to approach God’s throne was through this ritualistic process.

The Bible says in Hebrews 10:22 that we should “come near with a genuine heart in full certainty of faith, having our hearts cleansed from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water” in order to receive forgiveness.

When the Bible mentions the sprinkling of blood in Hebrews 12:24, it is referring to a present-tense event.

Not only did we gain salvation in Christ yesterday, but we continue to do so now.

The Israelites’ compliance was required in order to fulfill the covenant of protection that had been established with them in order to save them from the plague.

For the second time, this serves as a prophetic and illustration of the protection we receive when we are covered by the blood of the Lamb.

And it is there that we will find triumph, according to Revelation 12:9, which reminds us that we will only be victorious via the “blood of the Lamb” and the “word of the testimony of their witnesses.” The blood of victory rushes through our veins.

Cleansing and deliverance are on the way.

A breakthrough.

So why should we continue to behave in a lifeless manner, as the rest of the world does—devoid of hope and freedom?

No way, not at all!

When we Christians act as though death is just around the corner, that is exactly what we end up accomplishing.

Following the most powerful “blood transfusion,” it is time for us to quit acting like dead men and get out of our hospital beds, celebrating the new life we have found in Christ.
