You might ask what Jesus is doing now that He has risen to the Father’s throne in heaven. According to the Bible, after presenting Himself as a sacrifice for our sins, Jesus sat down at the right side of the Father. Because of the wording of verse 13, one may conclude that He is merely sitting up there, waiting for the moment when He will return to rule and reign on earth. However, when we take a look at other verses, we quickly understand that He is quite active on our behalf. Even though the Son is present in heaven with the Father, He is also present within every believer through the Holy Spirit, whom He sent to be in and with us (John 15:26; Romans 8:9–10).

Christ is actively at work within you, shaping your character and empowering you to fulfill your responsibilities.

He makes requests on our behalf and intercedes on our behalf before the Almighty Father.

We are declared righteous in Christ’s presence because of His sacrifice and because of our trust in Him.

Furthermore, according to John 14:1–3, Christ is preparing a place for us in paradise.
Jesus is hard at work in heaven, following out the Father’s instructions.
He saved us in order for us to mirror His life in our work, attitudes, words, and conduct, as well as in our relationships with others.

During my first several weeks as a Christian, I was taken to hear an evangelist speak. For a week, he talked at a town hall in the northern suburbs of Sydney, night after night. Every communication came to a close in the same way. When Jesus was on the cross, dying for the sins of the world, there was an appeal for people to come forward and pledge their lives to him. I couldn’t figure it out. A question thrust itself into my mind: What is Jesus up to right now? Perhaps you are asking yourself the same question as you gaze out at a world that appears to be devoid of God for so many people.

At the age of eighteen, I purchased my first Bible. Years have gone, and with them, my understanding of Scripture has expanded, as has the number of responses to my query. The period of time in which we are currently living is referred to as theregnum Christi (‘the reign of Christ’) by theologians.

Ruling the Universe

For starters, Jesus is now the ruler of the universe. The period of time in which we are currently living is referred to as theregnum Christi (Latin for “the reign of Christ”). According to Acts 2:36, “Let all the house of Israel then know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified,” God has made him both Lord and Christ. It was therefore considered disrespectful by imperial Rome to accept the title “Christian.” Governor Pliny of Bithynia addressed a letter to Emperor Trajan in the early second century.

It was a question of loyalty to Caesar.

Saving Sinners

Furthermore, Jesus is rescuing sinners in our own day and age. As Paul says, “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of complete acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to rescue sinners, of whom I am the foremost,” and “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first.” (1 Timothy 1:15) According to I. H. Marshall, the term “salvation” in the New Testament is a catch-all term for the advantages of the gospel, which include regeneration, justification, forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and glorification, to mention a few examples.

It is possible that this will unwittingly obscure what Jesus, the Saviour of the World, is truly accomplishing at this time.

By the 1930s, it had become fashionable to refer to oneself as having been converted.

Today, it appears that the most popular reaction is to state that you have made a promise.

I’ve noticed that the terminology has gotten increasingly anthropocentric, rather than theocentric, in recent decades. It is possible that this will unwittingly obscure what Jesus, the Saviour of the World, is truly accomplishing at this time.

Interceding

Furthermore, Jesus is our Great High Priest right now, and he will continue to be our Great High Priest as long as he lives to intercede for us. We have someone we can turn to when we are in trouble. In Hebrews 7:23-25, we learn about Jesus’ role as our Great High Priest: While the prior priests were many in number due to the fact that they were prohibited from continuing in office by death, he retains his priesthood in perpetuity due to the fact that he endures eternally. As a result, he is able to save to the fullest extent those who come to God through him, since he is constantly there to intercede on their behalf.

Overseeing Churches

Finally, Jesus is assessing all aspects of church activity, including ours. “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.” “I know your works, your toil, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but I have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and I have found them to be false. “I have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and I have found them to be false.” I am aware that you are bearing up patiently and bearing up for the sake of my name, and that you have not become weary.

Among those that circulate in my circle of influence, few if any believe that a Christian may achieve sinless perfection in this life.
In the Old Testament, Israel is shown as acting badly (see, for example, Amos), while the New Testament presents Christians as behaving terribly (see, for example, Matthew) (e.g.1 Corinthians).
We may rest comfortable that our Lord rules, guides, rescues, intercedes, and assesses as we wait and hope for the outcome of the election.
Every knee will be bowed on that day (Philippians 2:5-11).

What exactly is Jesus doing right now? Have you ever thought to yourself, “What if?” Think about it: do you see Him just sitting up in heaven and watching us scamper around as we might watch an army of ants scurrying around? Or perhaps you get a glimpse of Him taking it easy, casually strolling through the streets of gold, playing football, or simply savoring that enormous table laden with copious amounts of food. If we’re being completely honest, Jesus is much more than a passing spectator. Jesus is concerned about us.

What Jesus is doing is acting as an intercessor on our behalf!
People used to bring their sacrifice (a pigeon, dove, or goat) to the high priest during the time of the Old Testament.
He served as a go-between, the one who could bring people back into a meaningful connection with God.
But then Jesus came to earth and was fashioned to look and act just like us.
He was with us through it all.
Because of His blameless existence, He was the ideal sacrifice for our sins.
That’s not all, either.
The right hand of God is a location of honor, authority, blessing, and power.
As a result, Jesus is interceding for us from His place of honor, using all of His power and authority to do so.
This implies that Jesus engages with us in conversation, prays for us, and intervenes on our behalf as needed.
He has complete authority and complete power, and he is actively interceding for you and me right now, and he will continue to do so indefinitely.

Here are a few other specific ways Jesus is looking out for us right now:

1. He is providing us with a rich and plentiful life (John 10:10). 2. He is fortifying and safeguarding our position (2 Thessalonians 3:3). 3. He is standing up for us (Psalm 3:3). 4. He is providing us with everything we require (Philippians 4:19). (5) He is consoling us, encouraging us, and giving us reason to be hopeful (Romans 15:4). 6. He is transforming our hearts (Ezekiel 26:36). 7. He is extending mercy and grace to us in this time of need (Hebrews 4:16). 8. He’s always there for us – He never abandons or forsakes us (Deuteronomy 31:6).

He takes attention of you.

The fact that He is paying attention to you shows how much He cares about you. God may be approached at any time, for any purpose, and from any location because of Jesus. Thanks to the work that Jesus is doing for us, we will never be alone in our requests, requirements, problems, or adventures!

What Is Jesus Doing Right Now?

After what seemed like an eternity of blank looks, one of the students piped up, “He’s keeping an eye on the dinosaurs,” he said. I’m still not clear what he was getting at with his statement. But then I realized that they had no idea what Jesus was up to at the moment. Perhaps this is due to the fact that we tend to make a big deal about Christ’s first coming, and we all speculate about his second coming, but we rarely speak about the present. The Apostles’ Favorite Bible Verse

We can deduce anything from Psalm 110:1, the Old Testament passage that was most frequently mentioned by the apostles and other New Testament writers. In his letter, David writes that the Lord has told him to “sit at my right hand until I make your adversaries your footstool” (ESV). David is recording the conversation between the Father and the Son in heaven, and the New Testament connects it to Jesus’ ascension to the right hand of the Father. When Jesus returned to heaven after his resurrection, the Father gave him a mandate to reign on his heavenly throne with complete control over all things in heaven and on earth (see Matthew 28:18).

Since Christ’s initial arrival, his kingly dominion has been sprouting like a mustard seed in the world (Matthew 13:31-32).
What does that appear to be like?
Christ’s current mission is the joyful victory of rebellious hearts via the preaching and teaching of the gospel.
But, if Jesus possesses all of this authority right now in heaven, why has he taken such a long time to return?

Waiting While He’s Working

Peter exhorts us to “consider the patience of our Lord as salvation” (count the patience of our Lord as salvation) (2 Peter 3:15a). Be patient, he advises, for Christ will only remain on the scene for as long as it takes him to save all of his followers. Despite the lengthy delay, he remains committed to completing the assignment. At some point in the future, everyone will be able to celebrate because “the kingdom of this world has been transformed into the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 11:15).

The church’s actions in the present are shaped by this historical reality. The current rule of Christ in heaven necessitates missionary action on the ground.

The Implication for Missions

“Count the patience of our Lord as salvation,” Peter encourages us to do (2 Peter 3:15a). He advises patience, stating that Christ will only delay his return until he has saved all of his people. He vows to do the assignment, despite the significant delay. At some point in the future, everyone will be able to celebrate because “the kingdom of this world has been transformed into the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, who shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 11:15). The church’s actions in the present are shaped by this historical truth.

God’s Son came into this world flawlessly and lived magnificently before dying horribly, rising triumphantly from the dead, and ascending gloriously back into Heaven, promising to return and take us home one day. The entire process was carried out with the express intention of rescuing sinners and reconciling them to God. This narrative, more than any other, has had the greatest impact on the globe. It serves as a constant reminder that we are only a minor part of a much greater divine design.

Everyone and everything that Jesus comes into contact with is transformed as a result of His presence.
As a result, we rejoice what Jesus has done for us, trust that we will never be able to outdo him, and take comfort in the knowledge that we do not need to try.
He has done and will continue to do wonderful things for us.
While we give thanks for what Jesus has done and look forward with great expectation to what He has promised to accomplish, we frequently neglect to consider what He is doing now now, right now, right now, right now, right now, right now.
Jesus is not taking a break or kicking back as He waits for God to give Him the green light to return to the world.
His redemption of our past and assurance of our future are unquestionably true, but He is also uniquely and personally involved in our present.
The most prominent position of influence and power in the entire cosmos is now occupied by him, and he is actively ministering to and engaging with all of creation as well.
As He sits next to the Father, He has a bird’s eye view of everything, understands everything, and is able to tactically manage all things in line with His Father’s desire.
His ethereal influence radiating from Heaven is greater than all of the difficulties, struggles, worries, enemies, fears, pressures, sins, guilts, shames, and oppressions that we are subjected to on this earth.

However, while it may appear at times that the kingdom of this world is the final ruler, it is our genuine and greater King Jesus who proclaims, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.” (See Acts 7:49.) Jesus is larger, better, and more powerful for you right now, in whatever situation you may be in right now, now now.

Because he is constantly alive to intercede for them, Hebrews 7:25 says that he has the ability to rescue those who come unto God through him to the fullest extent possible.
He is integrally and intimately involved in our everyday interactions with the Almighty and with one another.
As a result, we are not required to represent ourselves.
He is now conferring with God concerning you, discerning what is totally best and excellent for you, and making provision in accordance with that determination.
He consistently refers to His work on the Cross for us as the foundation for our repentance before the Righteous Judge, and we should do the same.
We don’t have to account to God on our own behalf; Jesus has already done so; and we don’t have to make apologies for our own sins before a holy Judge; Jesus has already done so.
However, Jesus is our great defender, eternally pleasing God with His perfect righteousness, which was freely given to us by the sacrifice of His life.

Jesus provides a solution for you in your failing before God today.

He will carry your concerns, fears, uncertainties, and difficulties all the way to the heart of the Father, where they will be courageously welcomed in the mercy and grace that have been made available to you by Christ’s death and resurrection.

He gave up His life a long time ago in order to be able to stand up for your life now.

There are several rooms in my Father’s house.

Moreover, if I go and prepare a place for you, I will return and take you to myself, so that you may be with me wherever I may be.” John 14:1-3 (KJV) Jesus is looking forward to your entrance into glory with bated breath and is making preparations for your arrival right now.

This planet is not our permanent residence.

Even in times of clarity amidst the chaos of this world, we may take comfort in the knowledge that our citizenship is elsewhere (Philippians 3:20) — that while darkness and brokenness may reign around us, Jesus is preparing for us a better and more magnificent home.

His active preparation for our coming into the fullness of what He has in store for us is underway at this time.

Remind yourself that Jesus is preparing something better when the darkness seems overpowering.

All of the world’s most beautiful things serve to remind us of the even more wonderful beauty that Jesus has in store for us, and the deepest of hurts and sorrows kindle in us a frantic need to be with Him where He is most at ease, at home, eternally.

Despite the fact that Jesus has done wonderful things for us and has promised to accomplish even greater things in the future, failing to recognize what He is doing right now is to undervalue the scope of His activity on our behalf in the present.

In this very time, he is toiling for you in the heavenly realms. You may be assured that Jesus’ work for you today is entirely excellent. He is maintaining you, safeguarding you, and providing you with a flawless and plentiful supply. He is not inactive, but rather is actively working on your side.

Since he is the “Head” of his “Bodily,” Jesus is in continual communication with each of his body parts, which includes you and me.
In spite of all of the temptations he faced, Jesus was the only human being who ever fully surrendered himself to God.
We are “re-presenting” him in the world today, and he will assist us in being the best we can be for him.
He also serves as our Commander-in-Chief, and he is the one who directs us into combat.

Jesus Christ is building his Church by pouring out the gift of holy spirit to all those who believe.

Because the growing process of the body is controlled by the head, it is the Lord Jesus Christ who is adding to his body by saving all who call upon his name. 2:46 and 47(46)Every day, they continued to gather in the temple courts to worship God. With joyful and sincere hearts,(47) they broke bread in their houses and ate together as a community, praising God and basking in the favor of all the people. Jesus Christ is interceding for us as our mediator.

Satan, the Lord’s adversary as well as your adversary, wishes to have you removed from service. “To steal, murder, and destroy” is the objective of the Devil and his army of evil spirits, which is divided into three categories (John 10:10). In the face of such a tremendous supernatural adversary, we require an even more powerful supernatural ally to stand by our side. I am able to accomplish anything because of him, who provides me with strength.

Jesus Christ is giving revelation to the members of his Body.

The whole book of Revelation is comprised of God providing Jesus Christ with revelation, which he then communicated to the Apostle John (Rev. 1:1-2). When we need to hear from the Lord, he communicates with us via his word. We are completely reliant on him for guidance and direction as we navigate our individual paths of righteousness through this corrupt world. It is my desire that you, brothers, understand that the gospel I taught is not anything invented by man.

Galatians 1:11 and 12(11)I want you to understand that the gospel I preached is not something invented by man. It was not taught to me, nor did I learn it from anybody else; rather, it was shown to me by Jesus Christ in a revelation.

Jesus Christ is giving ministries to Christians.

According to the Bible, “ministries” are several forms of service. Those listed in the following verses are especially related to leadership roles and responsibilities. Jesus was the Apostle, the Prophet, the Evangelist, the Pastor and the Teacher, and now, as the Head of the Body, he is “diversifying himself” by allowing some of his followers to function in various roles. This is crucial. Revelation 4:11-13(11)It was he (Jesus) who appointed some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists and teachers;(12)to train up God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the full measure of the fullness of Christ.) As the next passages demonstrate, the Lord also empowers members of his body to perform additional functions: Romans 12:4-8 is a passage of Scripture.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all of these members perform the same function,(5)we who are many constitute one body in Christ, and each member is connected to all the others.

If a man has the gift of prophecy, he should use it in accordance to his level of trust.

Jesus Christ is the Commander of the angels.

The globe is a battleground, and the majority of the fighting is taking place in the spirit realms. The Devil is in command of his army of evil spirits, and the Lord Jesus is in command of God’s army of angels, according to the Bible. Their major responsibility is to provide service to God’s people. Hebrews 1:4 and Hebrews 1:5 (4) As a result, he gained the same level of superiority over the angels that the name he acquired has over theirs. “You are my Son; today I have become your Father,” God spoke to which of the angels at any point in time.

Paul writes in Philippians 3:20 and 21. (20) Our citizenship, on the other hand, is in heaven. And we joyfully anticipate a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ(21), who, by the power that enables him to put everything under his control, will convert our humble bodies into something that resembles his magnificent body on the other side.

(16)For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a resounding command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise.

As a result, we shall be with the Lord for all eternity.

The Lord Jesus Christ is “alive and well” now, and he will be until he returns to collect his followers.

He will be an active and strong force in each of our lives to the extent that we allow him to be, and he will be able to make himself known to the rest of the world as a result. Let us take his hand in ours and walk with him.

Although He was crucified and buried, the fact that He rose from the dead serves as our foundation of faith as Christians. Jesus has risen from the dead! But what exactly is Jesus up to right now? Were we to pay less attention to the work of Christ today when it came to the activity of God? We prefer to attribute all of God’s general functions to the Father, and we frequently contemplate and even argue what the Holy Spirit is now doing.

He appears to be in heaven, simply hanging out until the Father sends Him back to judge the world, which is our view.

Jesus is here and active now – and he is working for you!

What happened to Jesus now? They were present after Jesus’ resurrection and can attest to His ascension, which is as follows:

Then it happened, while He was blessing them and leaving them, that He was separated from them and lifted up into heaven
Luke 24:51– As they stood there watching, He was lifted up into a cloud, and they were no longer able to see Him. He has now been elevated to the Right Hand of God: Afterwards, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and seated at God’s right side. Mark 16:19 – Acts 2:30-33 (KJV) “Therefore, knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that He would raise up the Christ to sit on His throne from the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, 31 he foresaw this and spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, saying that His soul was not left in Hades, nor was His flesh corrupted.” 32 This Jesus God has brought up, and we are all witnesses to his resurrection. 33 Consequently, having been raised to the right hand of God and having received the Holy Spirit’s promise from the Father, He poured out that which you now see and hear. Jesus is seated at God’s right hand, where he holds the highest position possible: The apostle Peter writes in 1 Peter 3:22, “who has ascended into heaven and is seated at the right side of the Majesty on high, angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to Him.” “which He accomplished in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and sat Him at His right side in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is mentioned, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”

The current work of Christ, which He is upholding, is as follows: Paul writes in Hebrews 1:3 that Jesus’ superiority and uniqueness, as manifested in His divinity, are expressed in the author’s expression of His superiority and uniqueness. The author is expressing the superiority and uniqueness of Jesus, as manifested in His divinity, and upholding all things by the word of His power, after He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Jesus (the Word) was with God before the beginning of time and was God, according to the teachings of John 1. Nothing was created that did not originate with Him. Jesus, on the other hand, continues to exercise authority over His creation. He upholds the law. The Greek word meaning carry, bear, or bring forth means to carry, bear, or bring forth. A deist would tell us that God made this universe in the same way as an artisan puts a watch together, places it on a shelf, and waits for it to wind down. However, the fact is that the universe does not have a separate existence from the rest of the cosmos. The power of Jesus must be constantly replenished, so that it can function. If He were to abandon it for even a little minute, all visible creation would be destroyed
Even science is perplexed as to how the cosmos has managed to survive for so long. The general theory of relativity is the most comprehensive model we have for comprehending the nature of reality. As predicted by the general theory of relativity, the cosmos should not be able to maintain its cohesion. Stars should disintegrate in their orbits. Galaxies should be tearing apart. Scientists largely agree, then, that the cosmos is sustained by an unknown force that we are unable to define or quantify. Typically, they claim that dark matter is to blame, despite the fact that no one has ever observed or measured any of the stuff before. Personally, I have a strong suspicion that this amazing energy is nothing more than the word of Jesus’ strength
What is Jesus up to these days? In his hands, power is wielded on a cosmic and incomprehensible scale

He is Reigning: He continues to wield His authority over all things in His capacity as Our King. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All power has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18-20 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all countries, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to follow everything that I have commanded you
And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. The angels are under His authority. He is the spiritual leader of the church and is in charge of everything (Col. 1:18). 1. God’s revealed word continues to rule, and He is the head of the church (Eph 1:19-23). “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named,” says the Bible. 22 23 This church is His body, the fullness of him who fills all in everything
And He placed everything under His feet and appointed Him to be the head over everything in the universe.

B. He is Speaking –In his capacity as Our Prophet, He serves as God’s spokesperson today. The book of Hebrews (1:1-2) “God, who spoke to the fathers through the prophets at various times and in various ways in the past, has spoken to us in these last days through His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, and through whom He also created the worlds

He speaks today through the inspired words of His apostles contained in scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New International Version) Toutes les scriptures are given by inspiration of God and are useful for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, in order that the man of God may be full and completely equipped for every good job. C.He is acting as a mediator (interceding)

It is possible that there is a distinction between intercession and mediation –different words in Greek–in that, while there is only one who mediates for us (1 Tim 2:5–For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, to be testified to in due time
One mediator of the new covenant – Heb. 9:15), there are others who can intercede for us through prayer. Throughout the Bible, intercessory prayer is urged upon us. The writer of Hebrews claims that Jesus intercedes on our behalf – but this is always in connection with the blood He shed as a propitiation for us. Intercession is the act of contacting someone else on behalf of a third party. Mediation is the process of assisting two other parties in settling their issues – sometimes known as reconciliation.

Jesus is our advocate (intercessor) and points to the blood he shed as a propitiation for our sins in I John 2:1. As Our High Priest, He continues to mediate for us by shedding His own blood. “Who is he who condemns?” asks the apostle Paul in Romans 8:34. It is Christ who died and, more importantly, who has risen from the dead, who sits at the right side of the Father and who intercedes on our behalf.” The book of Hebrews (Hebrews 7:24-25) “However, He possesses an immutable priesthood since He is eternal and will continue to exist eternally.” Consequently, He is also capable of saving those who approach God through Him to the fullest extent possible, since He is constantly present to intercede on their behalf
He is capable of interceding because He gave the required element of atonement– His blood. The atoning force of Jesus’ blood is the source of the power that He wields on our behalf today. As Jesus said at His final Passover before ascending to the Father in Matthew 26:29,”For this is My blood of the new covenant, which has been spilt for many for the forgiveness of sins,” “Hebrews 9:11-13” is a biblical passage. Christ, on the other hand, came as the High Priest of the good things to come, bringing with him the bigger and more complete tabernacle, which was not constructed by human hands, and hence was not of this creation. 12 The blood of goats and calves was not used, but rather His own blood, which allowed Him to enter the Most Holy Place once and for all, obtaining eternal redemption. The apostle Paul describes the atoning value of Jesus’ sacrifice in Romans 3:23-26: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God set forth as a propitiation by his blood through faith to demonstrate His The apostle Paul goes on to discuss the ongoing impact of Jesus’ blood on behalf of His children. 5:9-11 (Romans 5:9) As a result of being justified by His blood, we will be spared from wrath through Him even more abundantly.” 10 Since we were once enemies, God was able to bring us back together via the death of His Son, and now that we have been reconciled, we will be rescued by His resurrection. It is not the imputation of Jesus’ perfect righteousness to us that is being referred to as “saving his life,” but rather the continual life of intercession on our behalf. He is not dead, but rather, he is alive and well for all time! This emphasizes the importance of being “in Christ.” Those who do not believe in Christ have no one to intercede for them

You trust in God, believe likewise in Me
Do not let your heart be tormented.”

Prophet, Priest, and King

In light of this great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and sin that clings to us so tightly, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at God’s right hand. (Hebrews 12:1–2, English Standard Version) As we New Testament Christians run with endurance the race that has been set before us, we are encouraged by a large cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and are now ruling with Christ in the presence of the Father.

Prophets, priests, and kings were among those who lived throughout the time of the Old Testament.
The prophets were responsible for communicating God’s message to the people, and they occasionally made divinely inspired prophecies about the future.
Kings were civil magistrates who administered civil law on God’s behalf, and they were the representatives of the people.
The book of Hebrews 12:2 is one of the few places in the New Testament where Christ’s participation in performing these three duties is explicitly stated: Prophet:Jesus is the originator and consummator of our religious religion.
King:Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God, in the position of King.

(Ephesians 1:21, ESV). Jesus Christ has now taken up residence at the right hand of the Father. He is the absolute ruler of the entire universe, and he reigns as such. There is absolutely nothing that is not within His control. What evidence do we have? We know this because the Bible says so!

So what is Jesus doing now?

However, just because Jesus is seated, does not mean that He is acting as a passive observer to what is taking place on the earth. As the victorious Son of God, He continues to carry out the functions of prophet, priest, and king in the world. Prior to His crucifixion, Jesus made a startling statement, according to the prophet. They simply did not understand:However, I tell you the truth:it is in your best interests that I leave, because if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you. If I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you.

(John 16:7, English Standard Version) How is it possible that this is true?
It was Jesus who explained that the Holy Ghost, also known as the Spirit of Truth, would be sent to guide His followers into complete and total truth.
The Holy Spirit would not be sent to them until after Christ had been exalted on the cross (John 7:39).
When the Holy Spirit was poured out on the believers on that particular day, they were filled with power.

The Holy Spirit directs believers into all truth, reminds them of Jesus’ words, and empowers them to serve others in the name of Jesus.
Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are examples of people who have been given spiritual gifts.

The Spirit has bestowed spiritual capacities on believers at various times throughout history (1 Corinthians 12:1–11), including gifts such as faith, healing, wisdom, special knowledge, miracles, prophecy, and the ability to speak in other languages.

All of these gifts are for the purpose of strengthening the Body of Christ so that we can carry out our mission on this planet.

So it’s no surprise that His absence was beneficial to us!

Because we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but rather one who has been tempted in every way we are, yet has come out unscathed.

(Hebrews 4:14–16, English Standard Version) We have the ability to receive mercy and find grace to assist others when they are in need.

We can relate to the God-man Jesus Christ because He has “been there and done that.” He understands the difficulties we face on a daily basis.

(Hebrews 7:25, English Standard Version) What could be more comforting than the knowledge that Jesus is interceding on our behalf?

Jesus is aware of the Father’s thoughts and feelings.

Christ is praying for each and every one of us individually, and we know that His prayers are always heard and answered!

A significant portion of His heavenly job description includes this.

The king was successful in ensuring the peace, prosperity, and well-being of his subjects.

When the prophet Daniel was given a vision, he had the privilege of witnessing the coronation of Jesus Christ as King hundreds of years in the future.

This is what Daniel saw and experienced: When I had night visions, I saw a man who looked like a son of man coming down from the clouds of heaven, and he went to the Ancient of Days and was presented to him.

And God gave him a kingdom that will not be destroyed.

He has complete control.

Using His throne, Jesus is appointing and deposing earthly emperors and monarchs.

His truth continues to march forward.

“How can you claim that Jesus is in control of this mess?” says the author.

Babylon, where Nebuchadnezzar was king, was a beautiful place to live, with everything running smoothly.

God, on the other hand, had a different perspective.

God intervened one day, just as Nebuchadnezzar was taking stock of his kingdom and patting himself on the back, and ended his reign.

While Babylon may have been in a state of turmoil during those years, it is possible that it was not.

God restored Nebuchadnezzar to his rightful place on the throne.

Unlike people, God looks deeper into a situation to determine its true significance.

Psalm 110:1 is the Old Testament verse that is most frequently quoted and referenced by the authors of the New Testament.

(Psalm 110:1, New King James Version) This psalm was written by David, who prophetically predicted that God the Father would invite the glorified Messiah (Jesus) to sit at His right hand until all enemies were subdued.

All of Christ’s adversaries will be subordinated to His will and authority.

Christ, as the Head, will work through His earthly body, the church, to accomplish the following objectives: Despite the fact that we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war in accordance with the flesh.

The arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God are destroyed, and we take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ.

Yes, He is actively bringing His adversaries to their knees before Him.

And He is accomplishing this through the church, which is His earthly body of believers. You and I are being used by God to accomplish this, as we share our stories with the world and demonstrate our changed lives, as well as our good deeds done in His name!

It all makes sense!

Do you have a grasp of what Jesus is accomplishing right now, in the name of Heaven? He has taught us His word, the gospel of salvation, in his roles as our heavenly prophet, priest, and king. It is via the Holy Spirit, who has been sent by Jesus, that we are reminded of His teachings and empowered to serve others, as well as given talents so we might wage battle against Christ’s adversaries. “Because the weapons of our fight are not of the flesh, but have supernatural ability to destroy strongholds,” the apostle Paul explains in Romans 12:2.

In the Lord’s prayer, we are expressing our hope that this will be the case.
