  2. Male and female he created them,” says Genesis 1:27. Knowing Who I Am in Christ

Is it possible for you to realize how great your life in Christ is designed to be? This list shows the truth about who you were designed to be and how God intends for you to conduct your life! It is in Him that I find completeness, for He is the ruler and authority over all things—of every celestial and earthly power (Colossians 2:10). I have come to life in Christ (Ephesians 2:5). I am no longer bound by the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). I am far away from oppression, and I will not live in fear of anybody or anything (Isaiah 54:14).

  1. I am pure and blameless before Him, and I adore Him with all my heart (Ephesians 1:4;1 Peter 1:16).
  2. It is the serenity of God that exceeds all comprehension that I have experienced (Philippians 4:7).
  3. Through Jesus Christ, I have received abundant grace, the gift of righteousness, and the authority to rule and reign in my life (Romans 5:17).
  4. I have been given the power of the Holy Spirit, and He is able to do miracles through me as a result.
  5. I have been reborn in the knowledge of God and no longer desire to live according to my former ways or nature prior to accepting Christ (Colossians 3:9-10).
  6. God’s grace enables me to accomplish this, and He blesses my life as a result (Luke 6:36-38).
  7. All circumstances do not stand in the way of my confidence in God, which I use to extinguish all of the flaming darts (attacks) of the adversary (Ephesians 6:16).

I have been selected by God, who has called me out of the darkness of sin and into the light and life of Christ, in order that I may declare the perfection and glory of who He is to all people everywhere (1 Peter 2:9).

I am grateful (1 Peter 1:23).

I have been transformed into a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

My heart has been illuminated by the truth of God’s word, and I have gained understanding of redemption through Christ as a result (2 Corinthians 4:6).

I am a co-heir with Christ in the promise of eternal life (Romans 8:17).

Using the blood of the Lamb and the word of my witness, I have defeated the adversary of my soul (Revelation 12:11).

I serve as a representative of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20).

In Jesus Christ, I am declared to be the righteousness of God, and I am in good standing with Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

I am the head, not the tail, and the only way I can advance higher in life is by trusting and obeying God, not the other way around (Deuteronomy 28:13).

God has chosen me, and I have been forgiven and justified through Christ.

I have been redeemed—that is, I have been cleansed and forgiven of all my sins—by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 1:7).

Deuteronomy 28:15-68 and Galatians 3:13 tell me that I have been redeemed from the curse of sin, disease, and poverty.

Because of God’s grace, I am called to live a holy life and to proclaim His glory across the globe (Psalm 66:8;2 Timothy 1:9).

The mercy of God has rescued me, and I’ve been raised to the level of Christ and sat with Him in the celestial regions (Ephesians 2:5-6;Colossians 2:12).

Because of His mighty might, I am fortified with all of my force and ability (Colossians 1:11).

I strive to carry out God’s plan for my life on a daily basis because I want to satisfy Him with my life (Philippians 3:14).

I am not driven by fear because the Holy Spirit is within me and provides me with His power, love, and self-control via the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 1:7). Christ lives inside me, and I live my life in the light of my trust in Him and His love for me (Galatians 2:20).

Who am I in Christ?

QuestionAnswer “If anybody is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old has passed away, and the new has arrived!” says 2 Corinthians 5:17. It is possible to find two Greek terms in the Bible that are translated as “new.” The first term, neos, refers to anything that has only recently been created, although there are already many others that are similar to it in existence. The Greek word for “new” in this verse is kainos, which literally translates as “something that has just been created and is unlike everything else that exists.” In Christ, we are transformed into a completely new creature, just as God created the heavens and the earth from nothing at the beginning of time—He created them out of nothing, and God does the same with us.

  • In Christ, we are “partakers of the divine nature,” which means that we have a share in the divine essence (2 Peter 1:4 KJV).
  • Christ is in us, and we are in Christ.
  • The new nature has a close relationship with God, submits to His will, and is committed to His work.
  • The old nature is no longer alive in relation to the things of the Spirit and cannot be revived.
  • Christ bestows upon us a fully new and holy nature, as well as an incorruptible existence.

If we belong to Christ, we are united to Him and no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:5-6); we are made alive with Him (Ephesians 2:5); we are conformed to His image (Romans 8:29); we are free from condemnation and walking not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:1); and we are a member of the body of Christ, along with other believers (Ephesians 4:16).

  • In accordance with Ezekiel 11:19, the believer now has a new heart and has been blessed “with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 1:3).
  • We might wonder why we don’t live in the manner described so often, despite the fact that we have given our lives to Christ and are confident in our eternal salvation.
  • Although the old nature is no longer alive, the new nature still has to contend with the old “tent” in which it currently resides.
  • In Christ, we now have the ability to choose to resist sin, whereas the old nature was powerless to do so.
  • The choice is ours.
  • We are loved, forgiven, and secure because of Christ.

Because of Christ, we have triumphed, we have been filled with joy and peace, and we have been given true meaning in life. What a wonderful Savior we have in Jesus! Questions concerning the Christian Life (return to top of page) Who am I as a believer in Christ?

Who I am In Christ – knowing who you are in Christ is crucial

You must understand who you are in Christ in order to live your life in the way that God intended and to achieve your potential. With increasing agreement with God regarding your identity in Christ, the more your behavior will begin to reflect your GOD-GRANTED status in the eyes of other people. I encourage you to learn to view yourself in the same light as God does. God’s point of view is the only one that matters. Accept what God has to say about you, agree with Him that what He has to say about you is real, and grow into the spiritual person you were created to be.

  1. Knowing who you are in Christ is essential for living a successful Christian life and living a life with a sense of purpose.
  2. Your genuine identity is based on who God has declared you to be.
  3. Please stop living your life according to what other people think you should be and start living according to the reality of God’s word.
  4. You must know WHO you are in Christ in order to know WHAT to do, WHEN to do it, WHERE to go, and HOW to do it!

Who you are in Christ

Because you have placed your faith in Christ, each and every one of these truths applies to you.

  • I am cherished. I am approved according to 1 John 3:3. I am a child of God, according to Ephesians 1:6. I am Jesus’ buddy, according to John 1:12. John 15:14 tells me that I am a joint heir with Jesus, and that I share in His inheritance. I am one spirit with God, according to Romans 8:17
  • I am connected with God and one spirit with Him. I am a temple of God, according to 1 Corinthians 6:17. His Spirit and vitality have taken up residence in me. I am a member of Christ’s body, according to 1 Corinthians 6:19. I am a Saint, according to 1 Corinthians 12:27. I have been redeemed and pardoned, according to Ephesians 1:1. Colossians 1:14 says, “I have found completeness in Christ.” I am not under condemnation, according to Colossians 2:10a. Because I am in Christ, I am a new creation, according to Romans 8:1. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “I have been chosen by God, I am holy, and I am dearly loved.” I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God, according to Colossians 3:12. I do not have a spirit of fear, but one of love, strength, and a sound mind, as stated in 2 Corinthians 1:21. I am a co-laborer with God, according to 2 Timothy 1:7. 2 Corinthians 6:1 says that I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. I have direct connection to God, according to Ephesians 2:18
  • I have been chosen to bear fruit, according to Ephesians 2:6. 16
  • I am one of God’s living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual home, according to John 15:16. ‘I have been given extremely vast and valuable promises by God, by which I share His nature,’ says 1 Peter 2:5. I can constantly sense God’s presence since He never abandons me, according to 2 Peter 1:4. Scripture references include Hebrews 13:5 (God works in my life in order to assist me in doing the things He wants me to do) and Philippians 2:13 (I can ask God for knowledge and He will provide me with what I need). 1:5
  • James 1:5

It is just a matter of choosing to trust what God says about you. “How can two people walk together if they don’t agree?” 3:1 (Amos 3:3) Try reading the items on the above list every day for a month, ideally aloud, to yourself. The more your understanding of who you are in Christ, the more your actions and attitudes will reflect your true identity. In other words, “do not adapt yourself to this world, but be changed by the renewing of your mind.” Paul writes in Romans 12:2 that If you want to live a fruitful Christian life, you must first KNOW and BELIEVE who you are in Christ.

The most effective method of renewing your mind and experiencing inner transformation is to understand, believe, and say out loud who you are as a child of God.

Make yourself become the person you already are in Christ. Your life has more potential for God to work in it than you can fathom. Return to the top of the page In Christ, I am who I am. If you have found this article to be useful, please forward it to your friends as well.

13 Glorious Truths About Who We Are in Christ

Many secular websites encourage us to tell ourselves that we are great, that there is no one like us, that we should love ourselves, that we should be glad for ourselves, that we are unique, and that we are important. Alternatively, we should convince ourselves, in the words of Stuart Smalley, “I’m good enough, I’m clever enough, and doggone it, people like me.” Years ago, I heard a Christian instructor say something that was nearly the polar opposite. This implied to me that he considered himself “the worst of sinners.” “The word is trustworthy and deserving of complete acceptance,” he said, quoting the apostle Paul, “that Christ Jesus came into the world to redeem sinners, among which I am the foremost.” 1 Timothy 1:15 (New International Version) This instructor told himself on a regular basis, “I am the foremost of sinners,” in order to keep himself humble.

Are believers, on the other hand, expected to see themselves in this light?

The apostle Paul stated in the context of 1 Timothy 1:13-17 that, despite the fact that he had been a horrendous sinner, Jesus had been absolutely patient with him and had saved him.

Paul, on the other hand, was not claiming that his Christian character made him “the greatest of sinners.”

So who are we in Christ? How should we think of ourselves after Jesus saves us?

Should we consider ourselves to be “the greatest of sinners” or anything similar? Here are 13 ways in which the Bible outlines what it means to be a believer. Here are 13 “I am” statements that are true of all of us:

I am a new creation

As a result, anybody who believes in Christ is a brand new creature. The old has passed away, and the new has come to take its place. 2 Corinthians 5:17

I am reconciled to God

This is all from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation (see 2 Corinthians 5:18).

I am a child of God

Because you are all adopted sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 is a biblical passage. God has now taken on the role of my Father. I am a member of the God’s family. I no longer consider myself an outsider.

I am no longer a slave of sin

Because of this, we understand that our old self was crucified with him in order for the body of sin to be destroyed and for us to no longer be bound by sin. 6:6 (Romans 6:6)

I am forgiven of all my sins

Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving one another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive one another as well. Colossians 3:13 is a biblical passage.

I am washed, sanctified and justified

And this was the case for several of you. However, you have been washed, you have been cleansed, and you have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our Father. 1 Corinthians 6:11 (New International Version) As a result, because we have been justified by faith, we have been granted peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:1

I am the very righteousness of God

So that we could become the righteousness of God in him, he turned him into sin who had no knowledge of sin for our own benefit. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (New International Version) Because, just as many people were made sinners because of one man’s disobedience, many people will be made righteous because of one man’s faithfulness. Paul writes in Romans 5:19 that

I am at peace with God

As a result, because we have been justified by faith, we have been granted peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:1

I am being transformed into the likeness and glory of Christ

And as we all gaze upon the Lord’s glory with an open face, we are converted into the same image, progressing from one degree of splendor to another, as we are transformed into the same image. Because this comes from the Lord, who is also known as the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (New International Version)

I am a joint-heir with Christ

In addition, if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God as well as co heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order to be exalted with him as well. Romans 8:17 is a Bible verse that explains how to be a Christian.

I am chosen and loved by God

In order to be God’s chosen ones, holy and adored, we must put on hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 is a biblical passage.

I am gifted by God to serve others

As each of you has been given a gift, put it to good use by serving one another as good stewards of God’s abundant grace: 1:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10;

I am destined to look upon the face of Christ and someday be like him

We are God’s children right now, and we do not yet know what we will become; but, we know that when he emerges, we will be like him because we will see him for who he truly is. 1 3:2 (John 3:2)

Who I Am in Christ: 10 Life-Changing Bible Verses

Are you fed up with questioning your abilities or feeling like a failure? See the 10 “Who I Am in Christ”Bible texts for a fresh perspective on your identity! My kid told me a few weeks ago that a few guys were picking on him at recess, and I was shocked to hear it. They were apparently calling him names, which made him feel depressed. As his mother, I despise the fact that he has to go through this. But I also recognize that it is a normal part of growing up, and that it is my responsibility as his mother — not to remove all of the bullies from his life, but to educate him how to deal with them in a mature manner.

  1. “No…” “No!
  2. Just because someone says something does not imply that it is correct.
  3. And, I’m not sure about you, but I couldn’t care less about what cruel, bad, bullies have to say, could I?” Of course, as adults, it’s rather simple for us to see when other people are being bullies to us and when we shouldn’t pay attention to them.
  4. Remember that the MEANEST persons most women face these days are, according to my observations, themselves.
  5. Check read my post, How to Capture Every Thought (It’s Easier Than You Think!) for more information.
  6. I’m confident that you’ll identify some of those deceptions in your own life.
  7. The two most effective methods of accomplishing this are to form the habit of reading your Bible on a regular basis and to learn how to study your Bible for yourself.
  8. It’s because, as we all know, we don’t pay attention to cruel, unjust bullies–even when those bullies are ourselves.
  9. It is not important what the rest of the world thinks of us.
  10. Whenever I’m up against a bully, even if that bully is looking me in the eyes, I keep my attention on who I am as a child of God.

It’s important to gently (or more sternly if necessary!) remind myself that “I am who God has declared me to be.” And understanding who you are in Christ – truly knowing who you are – and discovering your identity in Christ? Everything changes as a result of this.

“No, through him who loved us, we are more than conquerors in all of these things,” says the author. — Romans 8:37 (NIV) You don’t believe you can accomplish it? God believes you are capable. The Bible says in Romans 8:37 that we are more than conquerors. Philippians 4:13 informs us that we can accomplish all we set our minds to through Christ who gives us power. In addition, 1 Corinthians 15:57 tells us that God grants us the triumph against our enemies. Whatever situations you are confronted with today are not beyond your ability to deal with.

You really should! You are a masterpiece created by God! He was the one who created you. Your Creator made you exactly the way He wanted you to be. He is madly in love with you! When He made you, He was completely aware of what He was doing!

8. In Christ, I am a Work in Progress (Philippians 1:6)

“Being certain of this, that he who started a good work in you will see it through to completion until the day of Christ Jesus,” says the apostle Paul. The Bible says in Philippians 1:16 that Of course, just because God created us does not imply that any of us are without flaws (which, regrettably, is the case.). However, the good news is that God is not finished with us yet! God does not just abandon us in our sins. He sanctifies us and elevates us to the status of saints (1 Corinthians 6:11).

As a result, if God looks for the birds and the flowers, shouldn’t He also look after the rest of His children? He provides us with victory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:57: No matter what you’re dealing with today — whether it’s the falsehoods on the inside or the difficult conditions on the outside — God and you are both capable of overcoming it. Bible Verses about Our Identity in Christ

Is there anything in the Bible that speaks to our sense of ourselves in Christ? – The Best Scripture Sayings The Bible teaches us that embracing Christ’s gift of everlasting life via faith is a necessary aspect of receiving His gift of eternal life. In order to vanquish death and sanctify those who believe in Him, Jesus sacrificed His life on the earth and rose from the tomb three times. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we relinquish our previous identities in this world and embrace our new identities in Christ.

He was present in the world, and the world was created as a result of his presence, yet the world was unaware of him.

The rights of children of God were given to those who accepted him and believed in his name, and who were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of mankind but from God’s will.
