When I was between the ages of 10 and 14, which is the target audience for this book, I didn’t have a lot of Christian literature to read. In addition to using The World Encyclopedia collection (which is still on my father’s bookshelves now!) for our school studies, we were fortunate enough to have a wonderful set of Bible storybooks to read from.

But we didn’t have anything like this-the book Jesus Is by Judah Smith-at the time.
But, gosh, I see so much promise in this amazing book for helping me quickly grasp more about Jesus!
Jesus is the embodiment of grace.
And that’s simply the beginning of the story!

In this book, there’s a little section titled “What God Might Write in Your Yearbook,” which is one of my favorite parts. My children did this, and I won’t disclose which one of them did it, but I did come upon a piece of paper in our house that said “Yearbook Signature Practice Sheet.” And there were a lot of signatures on it. Consequently, I became enamored with this small piece of Judah’s book as a result of my experience as a mother, who witnessed firsthand how vital this is to pupils!

Who Is Jesus to You?

The beginning of Holy Week is marked by a great surge of bewilderment and a changing of allegiances to Jesus. A few days later, the vast and admiring throngs on Palm Sunday give place to the crowds who are calling for His execution. There are many different perspectives on who Jesus is now; nonetheless, the most crucial issue is: who is Jesus to you personally? Our response to that question will be remembered for all time.

Who Am I to You?

According to Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus takes a poll of His followers and inquires of them about precisely this issue. A couple loaves of bread and a few pieces of fish had just been served to the 4,000 people (after earlier serving the 5,000). The Pharisees and Sadducees then attempted to put Jesus to the test by obstinately demanding that He perform another sign for them. Jesus next moves from the mostly Jewish region of Galilee to the lovely and serene region of Caesarea Philippi, where he spends the rest of his time.

When Jesus narrates the parable about the yeast of the Pharisees while they are journeying there, the disciples appear to be perplexed and display their perplexity.

You still don’t get it, do you?

Even after seeing so many miracles, the disciples were still perplexed by His teachings and lacked trust in His abilities.

Who Do You Say I Am Scripture

When Jesus arrived in the region, he determined it was time to confront the disciples with the truth about His actual character. They knew Him as a kind and kind guy who was also an exceptional teacher, and they were aware of His capacity to cure and perform miracles. As a starting point, he inquires as to who they believe He is. “Some believe it is John the Baptist, some believe it is Elijah, and yet others believe it is Jeremiah or one of the prophets,” they responded. Matthew 16:14 (New International Version).

That isn’t all that unlike from the beliefs of Jesus in the present day.

Some believe He was a decent, moral teacher, while others believe He was a smart man endowed with supernatural talents.

It is Jesus who says that He is God, that He is the source of forgiveness of sins, and that He is the only road to eternal life.

For some people (both then and now), that is a significant stretch. As soon as Jesus has finished listening to the disciples’ responses, He confidently asks them the crucial question: “But what about you?” He inquired. “Can you tell me who you think I am?” v15.

You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God

“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” Peter responds on behalf of the entire group of disciples. v16. This was the watershed moment that Jesus had been looking forward to. Initially, the disciples followed Jesus as students, believing that He would prove to be the long-awaited Messiah. However, in this passage, Peter not only proclaims Him to be Messiah (also known as “Christ” or “anointed one”), but also to be the Son of the living God. They had received a revelation of Jesus’ divinity by the Holy Spirit, despite the fact that they did not completely comprehend His purpose.

God’s Son

In His loud affirmation, God the Father makes it known that He has done so.

John Baptizes Jesus

“As Jesus was rising up out of the water, he saw heaven being ripped open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove,” the Bible states. ‘You are my Son, whom I love; I am happy with you,’ said a voice from the throne of God. Mark 1:10-11 (New International Version). Not only was this a visual demonstration of the Trinity, but everyone could hear the voice of God the Father addressing Jesus as His loving Son.

Jesus is Transfigured

“.Jesus took Peter, James, and John with Him and brought them up a high mountain where they were all alone,” Mark writes about a second event. It was in that location that He was transfigured in front of them. His garments became brilliant white, whiter than any other person on the face of the planet could possibly bleach them. When a cloud formed and surrounded them, a voice spoke from the cloud saying, ‘This is my Son, whom I adore,’ and the cloud disappeared. ‘Pay attention to him!'” Mark 9:2, 3, and 7 (NIV).

For a little period, Jesus demonstrated that He is the genuine King of Glory.

The True Identity of Jesus

In His own words, Jesus made it quite plain who He was: “I am aware that Messiah is on his way,” the Samaritan lady at the well declared. When he arrives, he will go over everything in detail with us. “I am he,’ Jesus stated, referring to himself as “I who speak to you.” NIV translation of John 4:25-26. The Jews questioned Jesus about His actual identity for a long time, and he answered their questions. He informs them that “I have come from God and am presently here.” “My Father, whom you believe to be your God, is the one who exalts me and exalts you.

He declared himself to be God by asserting that he existed before Abraham and by addressing himself with God’s sacred name, “I AM.” Related Post: “He is the Great I AM,” he says “So that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” Jesus said of the healing of the paralyzed man after he had been healed.

He was demanding God’s authority and power for himself.

When the shepherds heard the news of His royal birth from the angels, Simeon and Anna recognized Him as the Messiah when they met Him one month after His birth.

Everyone, including the blind man who had been cured, the Centurion on the crucifixion, the robber who died next to Jesus, and even the demons themselves, understood who Jesus really was!

Who Is Jesus Christ?

It was clearly stated by Jesus that He was God himself, and that He was the only route to salvation and eternal life with Him. That distinguishes Him from all other religious traditions. If Jesus did not claim to be who He claimed to be, then He would have been the profane teacher about whom the Jews complained. For Hindus, he is only one of a plethora of deities. According to Islam, Jesus was a prophet and a great teacher, but not a divine being. Buddhists regard Jesus as just a knowledgeable teacher and a holy man, and they do not worship him.

They have read and examined the historical record of Jesus and have come to the conclusion that He is not God.

Our thoughts and decisions concerning Jesus are entirely personal.

We either believe in Him or don’t believe in Him.

And You Say…

So, who do you believe He to be? While visiting Lazarus’s grave, Jesus informed Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. I am the Son of God.” Those who put their faith in me will survive, regardless of whether or not they are killed. “Do you believe what I’m saying?” NIV translation of John 11:25-26. This is a claim that only God could make. Martha’s response was, “Yes, Lord, I believe.,” according to verse 27. I am convinced. It is in you that I place my faith, Jesus. This is the most important reality that we may ever realize in our lives.

Who do you consider to be the ruler of your life?

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved,” says Romans 10:10, “that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” The procedure involves more than merely reciting the words or agreeing with the facts that have been conveyed.

Who is Jesus in Your Life?

If we truly believe that Jesus is who He claims to be, our lives will bear witness to that belief. It will have an impact on our daily decision-making. It will demonstrate to others who He is. His words are directed specifically at individuals who just make a verbal declaration of faith: “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ yet do not perform what I command? I’ll demonstrate what it’s like to be the person who comes to meandhears my wordsandputs them into action. He is comparable to a man who is constructing a house and who has dug down deep and built the foundation on rock.

I want my spiritual life, which is anchored in Christ, to be a reflection of my everyday existence.
When my faith is shaken, I feel nervous and deviate from the path He has laid out for me, I want to depend on Him as my Rock and my Redeemer.

King of Kings

“King of Kings” is one of my favorite songs of praise and worship, and it’s one of my favorite praise and worship songs. Its words take us on a journey from Jesus’ departure from Heaven to the freedom we have today. Jesus, my King of Kings, I will give you praise forever and ever!

Who is Jesus Christ to you?

When I was younger, I was asked, “Who is Jesus Christ to you?” On the one hand, it’s a straightforward question. On the other hand, it’s a rather complicated situation. One’s response reveals a great deal about their perspective on Christianity, God, and their own faith. David Lose recently wrote that, because we believe in a God who we cannot see, our experiences in this world may ultimately shape our perception of God and the universe. For example, because we live in a violent world, we may perceive God as a violent God who is on a mission to eliminate and eradicate unfaithful individuals.

Who really is Jesus Christ in my eyes?
This is what I believed because it was what everyone told me.
I had been led to believe that the ultimate goal of life is to accept Jesus as my personal savior.
So, what do you do now?
What I’m discovering is that the novelty of “being saved” wears off after a while.
However, as time progresses, some of this fades away.
We come across Christians who have been around for a long time but appear to be passionless and tired.

“What exactly am I saved from?” we wonder when we’re in the midst of our storms, obstacles, and brokenness.

When we’re stuck in a spiritual rut, we may try to recreate the feeling we had when we first accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Summer retreats and winter retreats have traditionally been held in my family’s tradition.

Obviously, the kids would be disappointed if they “felt” as though they weren’t saved this time.

And, in my early years as a youth pastor, I was the one who attempted to create these kinds of moments at every retreat.

After all, it didn’t matter that Jae had accepted Jesus as his Savior for the fourth time.

One year our winter retreat was coming up and one of the regular kids hadn’t registered.

It dawned on me that my relationship had to be more than Rescuer and rescued.

And if Jesus is my Lord, I should focus my life on doing his bidding, and not try to have Jesus do mine and fit into my world.

Ideally, where Christ goes, I follow.

What Christ wants me to do, I do.

I can’t lie, I fight and resist.

Because Jesus is a Master full of love and full of grace.

He is the one who looks into my eyes and says, “Child, where are they?

… Then neither do I condemn you.” But he’s also the one who gently adds, “Go now, and leave your life of sin.” That’s why when we accept Jesus as our Savior, Lord and Master, we’re no longer the same.

We can’t remain the same when we start living for Jesus’ purpose and no longer our own.

The queries “What should I dress today?” “Where do you want to have dinner?” and “What do you want to watch on television?” are not the types of questions that we ask ourselves on a regular basis that have long-term significance in our lives. · Some of life’s questions are simply unanswerable, and this is one of them.

Consider the following questions, for example: “Will you marry me?” “What will we name the baby?” and “Doctor, what is my prognosis?” These are all questions that have lasting ramifications for the person who answers them.
The first inquiry is concerned with what other people have to say about Jesus.
The response they give to His first inquiry reveals whether or not they are in the kingdom of God.
The answer to this question will influence where you will spend the rest of your life.
· Jesus and His followers are said to be in the “city of Caesarea Philippi,” according to the Bible.
It is here that a spring emerges from Mount Hermon, which eventually becomes one of the tributaries of the Jordan River, which flows into the sea.
As a result of its historical significance as a seat of Baal worship, the city was formerly known as “Balinas.” Baal was the Phoenician deity of fertility and nature, and he was worshipped as such.
Pan was a half-goat, half-man deity who was revered as the protector of flocks and the protector of nature.
Each year, the people of this city were forced to enter this temple, sprinkle a pinch of incense on a blazing altar, and proclaim “Caesar is Lord!” The temple was located in the heart of the city.

Furthermore, it was at this place that Simon Peter realized for the first time that Jesus Christ was, in fact, the Son of God.

The Lord’s first question is this: “Whom do men say that I am?”

Jesus was well aware of what the public was saying about Him. He wasn’t paranoid, and He wasn’t looking for attention from others. To get the disciples to reflect about their own beliefs about who Jesus was, Jesus used the ideas of the people about His identity to provoke them to consider their own beliefs about who Jesus was. · When Jesus poses this inquiry, his men respond by telling him what they have been hearing from others. They said that some believe you are “John the Baptist,” while others believe you are “Elias,” and still others believe you are “one of the prophets.” Let’s take a moment to dissect their response in more detail.

It was a message of repentance and virtue that both men delivered.

Herod Antipas, of course, believed that Jesus was none other than John the Baptist, who had been risen from the grave, as recorded in Mark 6:14.

Others believed that Jesus was Elijah raised from the dead.

In light of the fact that both Jesus and Elijah conducted ministries that were defined by clear, compelling preaching and persuasive miracles, this makes a bit more sense.

Others believed that Jesus was “One of the prophets”.

The list was lengthy and included luminaries like Moses, Daniel, the prophet Isaiah, the prophet Jeremiah, the prophet Hosea, and others. Jesus proclaimed the Law of God in the same way that Moses did. Jesus, like the prophet Isaiah, talked about sacrifice and holiness. After all, he was “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with anguish,” according to Isaiah 53:3. The message of Jesus, like Daniel’s message, was a prophetic prophecy about a future King and His reign. The ministry of Jesus, like that of Jeremiah, was characterized by compassion as well as brokenness.

That’s what the people were saying, but other voices were also expressing their opinions about Jesus in that day.

The Pharisees and other religious elitists of Jesus’ day were as follows: 20And many of them replied, He is possessed by a devil and is insane; why do you listen to him? These were the Scribes, the persons who were regarded as renowned instructors of the Law: He has Beelzebub, and he casts devils out by the power of the ruler of devils, according to the scribes who came down from Jerusalem to witness this. The Sanhedrin, the governing body of the Jewish faith, is comprised of the following members: 65When the high priest saw this, he threw his robes on the ground and said, “He has spoken blasphemy; what further need do we have of witnesses?” As a result, you have now been exposed to his blasphemy.

They responded by declaring him to be guilty of death.

Even while Jesus hung on the cross, willing to give His life as a payment for sin, the religious establishment continued to demonstrate their hatred for the Savior and His sacrifice.

32 Allow Christ, the King of Israel, to descend from the cross at this time, so that we may witness and believe. And he was hated by others who were crucified with him.

Not every voice in that day was lifted against Jesus. Some people knew Who He was and proclaimed Him openly.

What are they saying about Him in our day?

Just as there were a variety of viewpoints on Who Jesus was and is now, there are a variety of viewpoints on Who He was and is today. The Muslim believes that Jesus was a prophet, but that He was not crucified on a cross as Christians believe. He will return, but he is not the God of the universe. According to Hinduism, Jesus is only one of millions of gods that exist simultaneously. Jewish tradition holds that Jesus was a great prophet and teacher, but that He is not the divine being that He claims to be.

Jesus was the first baby born to God in Heaven, according to Mormon belief.
Those who believe in Jesus as the Archangel Michael think that he was once the Archangel Michael prior to His advent into this world.
Because the atheist believes that God does not exist at all, he or she has no interest in Jesus or his teachings.
Despite popular belief, society believes that Jesus was a brilliant teacher and that He had some good ideas about loving your fellow man and being nice to others.
Despite the fact that the majority of people accept His existence, they do not recognize His authority or pay Him the reverence that He deserves.

What does God in Heaven have to say about this man called Jesus.

17 As I looked up, I heard a voice from heaven say, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well delighted. ”

When Jesus was transfigured, God the Father said:

If God the Father says that Jesus is His Son that is good enough for me!

After hearing what His followers have to say about what others have said, Jesus asks them for their thoughts. The public has spoken, and now he wants to hear their own viewpoints on the subject matter. Here it is, at long last, the decisive time! Everything Jesus has taught them and demonstrated to them has been building up to this point in time, they believe. The culmination of every miracle had led to this one precise point in time.

Every word of truth Jesus gave was a call to His followers to come to this great spiritual fork in the path. Their response to this question would provide Jesus with valuable information on the effectiveness of His personal ministry to these men.

Jesus simply asks, “But, Whom say ye that I am?”

Even though it is a basic question, the ramifications of the answer are profound. If one gives the proper response to the question, they will go to Heaven; if one gives the erroneous answer, they will go to Hell. Peter, as was customary, spoke on behalf of the entire group. “Thou art the Christ!” Peter said emphatically. He got it exactly correct! Matthew’s account of these events includes a quotation from Peter, who says, “Thou are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” Matthew 16:16.16 And Simon Peter said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,” and the rest is history.

Seeing Jesus, Peter realized that he was the Messiah, which is exactly what the term “Christ” implies.

John 6:44 states that this is true in every genuine conversion.
Those who are saved are those who have their spiritual eyes awakened by the Lord.

He was well aware of Jesus’ identity, and he freely confessed Him.

On that particular day, there was a guy by the name of Judas Iscariot there.

Judas died a lost cause, and according to Jesus’ own testimony, he was a “demon,” John 6:70.

No one has the authority to speak for you.

Finally, it doesn’t matter what anybody else has to say about Jesus; it all boils down to whether or not you think He is who He claims to be.

What you say in response to that question will influence where you will spend the rest of your life.

Perhaps you are like the agnostic in that you just do not think that anyone can be certain about such things in this life.

Take a look about you at the transformed lives and realize that individuals do not have the ability to bring about such drastic transformation; it is a God-given ability, 2 Cor.

Possibly, you subscribe to some of the erroneous teachings of cults and other faiths regarding Jesus’ divinity.

“Friend, this is the truth: The Bible says in John 3:16 that we are to love one another.

I said therefore to you that ye shall die in your sins: for if you do not believe that I am he, you shall die in your sins,” John 8:24.

Perhaps you consider Jesus to have been only a great teacher or a great leader of men.

That is the one thing we are not allowed to mention.

Either this man was and continues to be the Son of God, or he is a lunatic or something far worse.

However, we must refrain from referring to him as a wonderful human teacher in order to avoid appearing condescending.

The question for today is, what do you think about Jesus to be true?

What will the location be? Will you be a part of the heavenly kingdom? Alternatively, do you want to go to Hell?

Who is Jesus to you? Hear Who the Bible says He is:

Adam is known as the Advocate, the Anointed, the Apostle, the Author, the Amen, the Alpha, and the Ancient of Days. The Beginning, the Begotten, the Beloved, the Branch, the Bread, the Bridegroom, the Bright and Morning Star, the Bishop of our souls, and the Radiance of the Father’s splendor are all names for Jesus Christ. Christ is known as the Captain of our Salvation, the Consolation, the Chief Cornerstone, the Counselor, the Covenant, the Chosen of God, and the Christ. The Daysman, the Deliverer, the Dayspring, the Daystar, the Door, and the Desire of all nations are all names for the same person.

Finisher of our faith, Friend, Forerunner, First Fruits, Faithful Witness, Fountain of life are some of the terms used to describe Jesus.

Offspring of David, Omega, Only Begotten of God, Offering, and The Offerer are all names for those who are descended from David.

Righteousness, Rabbi, Ransom, Rest, Root of Jesse, Root of David, Refiner, Refuge, Resurrection, Rose of Sharon, Ruler, Rock of Ages, Regenerate Breath, Root of Jesse, Root of David, Refiner, Refuge, Resurrection, Regenerate Breath Stone, Shepherd, Son of God, Son of Man, Shield, Servant, Seed of the Woman, Surety, Sufferer, Saviour, Sinless Sacrifice, the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever.

Teacher, Truth, Tabernacle, Testator, Treasure, and Tree of Life are all biblical terms.

Whom Do Men Say that I am?

In verses 30 and 31, Jesus instructed His followers not to inform anybody. He did this since he didn’t have enough time. Were they to have gone across the country teaching that Jesus was the Messiah, it is likely that resistance would have developed to such a level that Jesus would have been unable to accomplish His task. His work has been fulfilled, and He has commanded us to tell the rest of the world about Him. That is exactly what I attempted to accomplish today. First and foremost, answer this question: “Who is Jesus to you?” Before you even begin to think about it, answer this question: What is your response to this question?

Is He your personal Savior? Is He your lord or your master? Is He a wonderful teacher and a great leader of men? Do you think so? Is He a good example to follow? Is He a myth or a reality? Is your life a reflection of the person you claim Jesus to be?

Who is Jesus to You?

When getting to know someone and learning about their spiritual journey, the most important question to ask is “who is Jesus to you?” The response to this question will reveal where they are in their relationship with God. Not only who the individual believes Jesus to be. but who he is in their eyes. Then pay attention for the response. Don’t make assumptions or place your own meaning on what they are saying; instead, pay attention. However, when you start talking about who Jesus is and what it means to be a Christian with them, you will find that their concept of him and what it means to be a Christian is radically different from your own.

He is the Son of the Living God, who existed with God before the beginning of time and the beginning of creation, and who is God.

It was to him that God the Father spoke in Psalm 110:1, “The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your adversaries a footstool for Your feet.”” He is the fulfillment of the promise made to Adam and Eve, having been born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23), the seed of a woman (Genesis 3:15), and having triumphed over death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57, Isaiah 25:8), as well as having crushed Satan under His feet (Matthew 1:23).

It is my belief that Jesus is who He claimed to be, both God and the Son of Man.

Not All who Claim to Be Christians Are

There are many people who believe that Jesus was a wonderful person, but not all of them acknowledge him as their Lord and Savior. There may even be individuals who claim to speak for him and to perform miracles in his name, but who do not consider themselves to be members of the body of Christ. This passage raises a lot of questions. Those who do the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter the kingdom of heaven, not everyone who calls out to Me in the name of ‘Lord, Lord.'” 21 “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name and cast out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?” 22 “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name and cast out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?” 23 And then I will say to them, ‘I never knew you; leave from Me, you who practice lawlessness,’ as if they were strangers.

(Matthew 7:21-23, New American Standard Bible) It doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. “If we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved,” the Bible says in Romans 10:9. It truly is that straightforward.

Who Jesus is to You

Jesus is my source of comfort.

Jesus is my last line of defense.

Jesus is my incomparable celestial buddy.

Jesus is my source of encouragement, and he helps me to stay on the right path in life.

Jesus is my first and most important love.

Jesus is the only way for me to enter the kingdom of God and to have eternal life.

As long as I continue to put my trust in Jesus, he will be my assurance.

Jesus is my healer, and it is through his stripes that I have been cured.

I am represented by Jesus as my high priest, who intercedes on my behalf before a holy God.

My intercessor is Jesus Christ.

Jesus is my king, and I choose to serve him out of my own free choice.

Jesus is my guide, and I am following in his footsteps.

In this corrupt society, Jesus is my only hope for maintaining my sanity.

Jesus is my lover, and he loves me for who I am, not what I do.

Jesus is my intercessor, and he intercedes on my behalf.

Jesus is the message I’m trying to get across.

Jesus is the small doorway that leads to life for me.

Jesus is the only way I know how to live – and it is the way I now love.

Jesus is the source of my conquering power.

Jesus is the object of my affection.

My pilot is none other than Jesus.

The potter and shaper of my life is none other than Jesus.

Jesus is my provider, who meets all of my needs by drawing from his treasuries.

Jesus is the cause for my existence.

Jesus serves as a constant reminder of God’s grace.

Jesus is my source of refreshment.

In Jesus, I have hope for a better future – the promise of eternal life.

My prize is in the person of Jesus.

Jesus is my resurrected and ascended master.

Jesus is the rose of Sharron in my life.

Jesus is my Savior, and he has saved me from the imminent vengeance of the Almighty.

Jesus provides me with protection from the sun and rain.

My refuge is found in Jesus.

When I’m feeling low, Jesus is my source of hope.

When I feel weak, Jesus is my source of strength.

Jesus is my refuge and strength.

Jesus is my supplier, and I do business with him under his name.

Jesus is the rock on which I can rely.

Jesus is my mentor and instructor.

Jesus is the source of my truth.

My ultimate objective is to be like Jesus, and he is the person I aspire to be like.
