They convey love, but the love is more felt than seen in their portrayal. Like the 17-year-old artist and prodigy, the paintings arouse the imagination, conjuring up images of things bigger than those that may be found on the surface of the planet.

1. Akiane began drawing when she was four years old, and by the age of six, she was painting on canvas.
2. Despite the fact that her parents were atheists at the time, their little daughter’s drawings of Heaven and Jesus Christ, whom she referred to as “God,” left them both perplexed and fascinated.
