25.Ephesians 2:10 KJV

This is the thinking that was also in Christ Jesus, and it should be in you as well. The one who, although appearing in the form of God, did not consider it theft to be considered on an equal footing with the Almighty: In the meantime, he made himself no name for himself, assumed the guise of a servant, and was transformed into human form: Being recognized as a man, he humbled himself and became submissive unto death, even death on the cross; he was crucified.

Furthermore, dominion and glory were bestowed upon him, as well as a kingdom, in order that all people, countries, and languages may serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

Who is Jesus? What Scripture Says About Jesus

“All of them then exclaimed: ‘Are You indeed the Son of God?’ So He told them, “You are absolutely correct in your assessment of me.”” (See Luke 22:70.) In the midst of their discussion, Jesus appeared and said to them, “‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'” (Matthew 28:18; Mark 12:18). Because He not only violated the Sabbath, but also claimed that God was his Father, so elevating himself to the status of God, the Jews were even more determined to assassinate Him (John 5:17).

27 “My sheep recognize My voice, and I recognize them; therefore, they follow Me;28and I give them everlasting life, and they will never die; and no one will be able to take them from My hand because I have given them eternal life.

30 “I and the Father are one,” says the Son.

32Jesus responded, “I demonstrated to you many excellent deeds from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33The Jews said, “We do not stone You for doing a good deed; rather, we stone You for blasphemy; and we stone You because You, being a man, make yourself out to be God.” (See also John 10:27.) Keep in mind that, while a man claiming to be God is a radical notion, Jesus is the first leader of a world religion to have made such a claim – and to have provided evidence to support his claim as well.

How?

Jesus lived a sinless life

“In light of the fact that we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us keep our confession firm.” Indeed, we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but rather One who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet has come out unscathed. (See also Hebrews 4:1) God was able to accept His sacrifice since He did not commit any sin. “Christ likewise suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but raised to life by the Spirit,” according to 1 Peter 3:18, “that He may bring us to God.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 states that God caused Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, “so that we may become the righteousness of God by His death.”

Jesus said He is the one and only way to God

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one else can do these things for you. No one else can bring someone to the Father but through Me ” (John 14:6).

He had the power to forgive sins and provide everlasting life

“‘I am the resurrection and the life,’ Jesus declared to her in response to her question. Even if a person dies because of his or her faith in me, that person will live; and whomever lives and believes in me will never die ” (John 11:25). “”Friend, your sins are forgiven,” Jesus told them after noticing their confidence in Him. The Pharisees and the professors of the law started to wonder aloud, ‘Who is this man who talks blasphemy?’ they wondered. ‘Who else but God has the power to pardon sins?'” (See Luke 5:20.) As Jesus said, “For the will of my Father is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him will have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the final day” (John 6:40).

(See also John 6:47.)

Jesus predicted his own death and resurrection

“In an aside, Jesus informed the Twelve that they were about to ascend into Jerusalem, and that all that had been written about the Son of Man would be fulfilled. Eventually, he will be turned over to the Gentiles. They will make fun of him, taunt him, spit on him, flog him, and even murder him in the process. He will resurrect from the dead on the third day.'” (See Luke 18:31.)

He said He would come back

Matthew 24:27 (KJV) “As lightning strikes from the east and flashes to the west, so will the Son of Man’s arrival be heralded by the same pattern. It will be at that time that a sign from the Son of Man will come in the sky, and every nation on the face of the globe will weep. They will see the arrival of the Son of Man in the clouds of the sky, accompanied by tremendous power and glory.” 14:61 (Matthew 14:61) “‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ the high priest inquired once again of the man.

You will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of The Mighty One, descending on the clouds of heaven,’ says the prophet.” Clearly, Jesus recognized that He was the Lamb of God, the promised Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament.

When He arrives, He will judge the crimes of the entire world. with the exception of those who have previously confessed their wrongdoing, filed a plea of guilty, and sought His compassion by placing their faith in Jesus Christ.

  • Seeing their confusion, Jesus looked them in the eyes and said: “This is impossible for man, but not impossible for God, for with God all things are possible.” Keeping our gaze fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, is essential. As a result of the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of God’s throne. Then Jesus asked, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” (Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?) • We are one. His wounds were punctured as recompense for our sins, and he was crushed in our iniquities
  • The penalty that brought us peace was placed on him, and it was through his wounds that we were cured. Because there is no other name under heaven that has been given to mankind by which we must be saved, we can find salvation in no one else. For whenever two or three people get together in my name, I will be there with them
  • This is how God demonstrated his love for us: In order for us to live through him, he sent his one and only Son into the world
  • Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Nevertheless, praise be to God! He grants us victory through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. • May the Lord Jesus Christ be with all of God’s people. Amen
  • Because we are God’s creation, created in Christ Jesus to accomplish good works that God has prepared in advance for us to do
  • Certainly, Jesus took on our agony and experienced our suffering, but we saw him as having been chastised by God, struck down by him, and tortured by him. Allow the peace of Christ to prevail in your hearts, for you were called to peace as members of a one body when you were created. And remember to be grateful. In all seriousness, I say to you, whoever accepts anybody I send accepts me, and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me
  • For there is only one God, and there is only one mediator between God and humans, the man Christ Jesus

After all, just as each of us has a single body made up of a variety of members, none of which perform the same job, so in Christ, while we are numerous, we constitute one body in which each member is a part of all the others.

Who Is Jesus Christ?

In addition to being hailed as the greatest religious leader who has ever lived, Jesus is also hailed as the most influential person to have ever lived on our planet, and as being unlike anybody else to the point that no one can be compared to Him. However, accepting Jesus Christ just on the basis of His exemplary life and superior moral teaching will not be sufficient to eliminate the stumbling hurdles to Christianity that have been constructed by an unbelieving society. It is only by examining who He claimed to be and what He did during His brief career on our planet that one can truly determine what one thinks of Him.

When you read the Bible, the most prominent topic you will encounter is Jesus Christ and his person and activities.

He took on the form of a human being, died on the cross, and was buried.

He arose from the grave a second time. He is the one and only Savior of the world, and he is all-sufficient. He will return to this planet at some point. If something is taken away from the Scriptures, they are deprived of any cohesive meaning and continuity.

Jesus Christ is God:

The only explanation for all He was and did is that He was a divine being. (1) He existed prior to the Father’s creation. “It was the same with God at the beginning of time. Every item that was made was made by him, and there was nothing that was made that wasn’t made by him” (John 1:2, 3, KJV). (See also John 17:5 and Colossians 1:17 for more references.) • “And we believe and are certain that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,” Peter admitted (John 6:69, King James Version). “I and my Father are one,” Jesus declared (John 10:30, New International Version)

(3)He was sinless, as only God can be, as only God can be.

  • “Which among you persuades me that I am a sinner?” Jesus questioned His opponents. “Peter testified:” (John 8:46, King James Version). The Bible says that Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that we should follow: “who did no sin, nor was there any guile in his mouth” (1 Peter 2:21, 22 KJV)
  • Paul said: “For he made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin
  • That we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV)

(4) He forgives sins in a way that only God can do.

  • “Only God has the power to forgive sins,” the Scribes asserted. “But that you may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins,” Jesus declared in Mark 2:7, the King James Version. (Matthew 9:6, King James Version) (See also John 8:11 for more information.)
  • “Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, might live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed,” Peter said (1 Peter 2:24, King James Version).

(5)He was capable of performing miracles.

  • He cured the sick, according to the Scriptures (Matthew 8:9-13
  • Luke 4:31-44

His miraculous birth was predicted 800 years before His arrival: “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel” (Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel) (Isaiah 7:14, KJV). (2)The prophesy was carried out to the letter of the law. The angel said, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for thy prayer has been heard.

(Luke 1:30, KJV; Luke 1:30, KJV).

God’s Son drank from the well (John 19:28), ate at the table (Luke 24:40-43), expressed emotions (Mark 6:34), wept (John 11:35), understood what it was like to be tempted (Hebrews 4:15), and died (John 19:30).

Jesus Christ Accomplished the Works of His Father:

(1) He was crucified and died. This is the central subject of the Gospel of Matthew.

  • The truth of His death notwithstanding— The Passion and Resurrection of Jesus are the subject of one-fourth of the Gospels. (a)It was for this reason that He came into the world (John 12:27). In Isaiah 53:3-8, He foresaw His death hundreds of years before He arrived on the scene
  • The significance of His death. (a)It served as a payment for sin (Matthew 20:28
  • Romans 3:24
  • 1 Peter 1:18). (b)Its purpose was to pay the price for sin (Romans 3:24
  • 1 John 2:2
  • 4:10). Humanity has become the target of God’s anger as a result of disobedience and sin, yet God took the initiative in appeasing His wrath by sending His own Son to die on the cross. (3)It is a process of reconciliation. The hostility that was between us and God has been resolved (Romans 5:10), and we have been reconciled with God (2 Corinthians 5:18, 19). In a sense, it’s a substitution: He died instead of us (1 Peter 3:18
  • 2 Corinthians 5:21). Finally, the issue of sin has been fully addressed (1 Peter 2:24
  • Hebrews 9:26
  • Hebrews 10:12)
  • And

(2)He was risen from the dead: This is a unique and vital aspect of Christian belief and practice.

  • Jesus’ resurrection was a reality (John 20:1-10
  • 1 Corinthians 15:4), and his resurrection was credible (John 20:1-10
  • 1 Corinthians 15:4). (a)Jesus foretold it in Matthew 13:39-41 and Luke 24:1-7, respectively. In John 20:11-13, we read that the tomb was empty. There were several witnesses who saw Him alive, including the women (Luke 23:55, 56)
  • Mary Magdalene (John 20:1, 2, 11-18)
  • Peter and the other disciples (John 20:3-9, 19, 20, 24-31
  • 21:1-14)
  • And the disciples themselves (Luke 23:55, 56).

The Results of His Work:

(1) He climbed to the right hand of His Father (Luke 24:49-53; Acts 1:6-11). Secondly, he is our everlasting Mediator (see 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 8:6, and 1 John 2:1). (3)He is our Saviour: “Thou shalt call his name Jesus: because he shall rescue his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21; Luke 1:18). (Matthew 1:21, KJV). “With his right hand, God has exalted him to be a Prince and a Savior, in order to bring repentance to Israel and remission of sins” (Acts 5:31, KJV).

  • He is the only one who can save you. “There is salvation in no one other, because there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12, New International Version)
  • He is a complete Savior. “Therefore, because he always lives to make intercession for them,” according to Hebrews 7:25, “he is also able to save them to the uttermost who come unto God by him.” He is a personal Savior. It says, “If thou confess with thy lips the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ” Since man believes in righteousness with his heart, and confesses his faith in salvation with his lips” (Romans 10:9, 10, King James Version)

The Consummation of His Work:

(1)He will return to this planet at some point (Acts 1:11; Hebrews 10:37; John 14:3). Believers in Christ will be physically raised to begin a new, eternal existence at the end of time (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58). (3)He will reign as King of kings and Lord of lords over His new creation in the manner of the Old Testament (2 Peter 3:10-13; Revelation 22:3-5). 152-154 in The Billy Graham Christian Worker’s Handbook (Minneapolis, MN: World Wide Publications, 1984).

The Man Jesus Christ: 12 Bible verses showing how we can follow Jesus

Jesus Christ, the Son of God: Jesus, even though He was the Son of God, chose to come down to earth in the form of a human being, according to the Scriptures. His human nature and will were described as such in the Scriptures, yet He overcame them and never sinned as such. In part because of His victorious life, He was able to triumph over death, and now He sits at the right hand of His heavenly Father. This is extremely important to us as Christians, and we cannot stress it enough. It follows that, because He overcame as a man like us, we can also live the same life that He did while on earth.

It is entirely feasible to follow Christ in the fullness of truth! If we follow Him, we shall eventually be at the same place He is! The following are 12 Bible verses that demonstrate that Jesus was a man like us, and that we can learn from him.

Jesus was tempted in all points

The reason is because “we don’t have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our failings, but who was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15 is a verse from the book of Hebrews.

Jesus had His own will, which He denied

“Because we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but who was in all points tempted as we are, but without sin,” says Paul. In Hebrews 4:15, God says, “Behold, I am making you into a new creation.”

Jesus tells us to follow Him on the way of self-denial

Jesus then told His disciples, ‘If anybody wishes to follow Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.'” For whomever seeks to save his or her life will lose it, but whoever loses his or her life for My sake will get it.” Matthew 16:24-25 is a passage of scripture.

Jesus grew and developed spiritually

“And Jesus grew in knowledge and height, as well as in favor with God and with humanity,” it says. Luke 2:52 is an example of a parable.

The Spirit of God testifies that Jesus came in theflesh

According to the Scriptures, “By this you will recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has not come in the flesh is not of God.” 1 John 4:2–3 (KJV)

Jesus humbled Himself and came in the likeness of men

It is important that you have the same mindset as Jesus, who, while He was in the form of God, did not consider it theft to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation by taking the form of a bondservant and appearing in the likeness of mankind. And, having been discovered in human form, He humbled Himself and became submissive to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8 is a biblical passage.

The apostle Paul refers to “the Man Jesus Christ”

In Christ, I am not lying; I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying; I am a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” 1 Timothy 2:5-7 is a passage of scripture.

Jesus calls Himself a Man

In response, Jesus stated, “If you were Abraham’s offspring, you would do the acts of Abraham.” But now you want to assassinate Me, a man who has spoken the truth to you that I have received from God.” John 8:39-40 (KJV).

Jesus had to fight and obey to be saved from sin and death

He was a Son, but He learnt obedience by the things that He experienced throughout His fleshly days, when He had offered up pleas and supplications with passionate screams and tears to the One who was able to deliver Him from death, and had been heard because of His godly dread, Hebrews 5:7-9 is a passage of scripture.

Jesus is called our “forerunner”

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, and which enters the Presence behind the curtain, where the forerunner, even Jesus, has entered for us, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek,” the Apostle Paul writes. Hebrews 6:19-20 is a passage of Scripture.

Jesus was “made like His brethren”

“Inasmuch as the children have partake of flesh and blood, He Himself has partake of the same, in order that by death He would defeat him who held the power of death, namely, the devil, and free those who, out of fear of death, had been subjected to bondage during their existence.” Indeed, He does not provide assistance to angels, but He does provide assistance to the descendants of Abraham. As a result, He had to be made like his brothers and sisters in all respects in order to be a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters relating to God and to atone for the sins of the people.

Because He has suffered and been tempted, He is able to provide assistance to people who are tempted,” says the Bible. Hebrews 2:14-17 is a passage of scripture.

The Bible tells us to follow in Jesus’ steps

The apostle Paul writes, “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: ‘Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth’; who, when he was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges justly; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live 1 Peter 2:21–24 is a passage of scripture.

8 Verses that Show Jesus Christ Lives in You

In 2 Corinthians 13:5, the apostle Paul asks the Corinthian Christians a question: “Or do you not understand that Jesus Christ is in you?” (Or do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?) While writingJesus Christ is in you, Paul was not attempting to be lyrical or figurative in his writing. He was referring to the fact that Jesus Christ was practically residing within them. We Christians today, like the Corinthians, must come to terms with the truth that we are sinners in our own right. Christ does not exist outside of us as some kind of Helper who comes to our aid when we are in need; rather, He is a part of us and is with us all of the time.

For the sake of this piece, we’ll focus on just eight of these beautiful passages from the Bible.

1. Romans 8:10—“Christ is in you”

Although the body is dead as a result of sin, the spirit lives as a result of righteousness if Christ is in you. God created us with three different parts: a physical body, a spiritual soul, and a spiritual spirit. Our human spirit is the most fundamental aspect of ourselves, and it was formed with the potential to communicate with and receive the Spirit of God. When we accepted Jesus as our Savior, He entered our spirit and became our Lord and Savior. Now that He has taken up residence in us, our “spirit is life.”

2. Second Corinthians 4:6-7—“This treasure in earthen vessels”

“Because the God who said, ‘Out of darkness, light shall shine,’ is also the God who shone in our hearts, illuminating our understanding of the grandeur of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ” However, we have placed this treasure in clay containers so that the magnificence of the power may come from God rather than from us.” In verse 7, the apostle Paul refers to the believers as earthen containers that hold this priceless possession. What exactly is this buried treasure? In verse 6, we learn that the treasure is none other than Jesus Christ, whose face reflects the glory of God.

3. Galatians 1:15-16—“His Son in me”

“However, when it suited God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by His favor, to reveal His Son in me,” says the author. We may imagine that this passage should read, “It pleased God.to disclose His Sontome,” but that is not the case. However, in Greek, the original language of the New Testament, the preposition is unmistakablyin, and the phrase is translated as “to show His Soninme” (to expose His Son).

Rather than revealing Himself to us from without, God’s aim is to show Himself to us from within. God is glad to reveal more of the magnificent Person of Christ to us as He works within our hearts and minds.

4. Galatians 2:20—“It is Christ who lives in me”

The Bible says, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” The life that I now live in the body is based on faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me, says, “I have been crucified with Christ.” When Paul said “I live in a Christ-like manner,” he was not referring to the fact that he was glorifying Christ by his actions.

Rather than that, he stated, “Christ.lives in me,” plainly demonstrating that Christ lives in His believers.

5. Galatians 4:19—“Christ is formed in you”

“My children, with whom I am again in childbirth until Christ is created in you,” says the author. A woman goes through labor and birth to bring forth a baby, and Paul claimed he went through labor and birth in order to bring forth Christians in Galatia to be his spiritual offspring as his spiritual children. During his preaching of the gospel to them, he assisted them in being reborn with the life of God by accepting the Lord Jesus as their Savior. This was the beginning of his suffering. Later in this verse, Paul states that he continued to work on them in order for the Christ who had been received by them to become completely developed in them.

Each and every day, we must provide Him with the chance to develop and be shaped in our hearts and minds.

6. Ephesians 3:17—“Christ may make His home in your hearts”

That Christ, by faith, may build His home in your hearts, and that you, being rooted and based in love, may assist Him in doing so. Jesus Christ is alive and well in our hearts and minds. But, from there, He want to extend into the remainder of our interior being, which is to say, into the heart. Our heart is comprised of our thoughts, feelings, will, and conscience. The Lord does not desire to just pay us a visit in our hearts, as if we were guests at a hotel. He desires for our hearts to be His home, where He will be free to live and move as He pleases.

7. Colossians 1:27—“Christ in you”

Christ in you, the hope of glory, is “to whom God willed to reveal what are the riches of the glory of this secret among Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,” the Bible says. This verse demonstrates to us not only that Christ is present in us, but also that He is present in us as our source of hope for glory. Christ came to live in our spirits as a result of our belief in Him. He is already settling into our hearts and making them his permanent residence. When He returns in the future, He will even expand into our bodies, allowing God’s splendor to radiate through us from head to toe and from end to end.

8. Second Thessalonians 1:10—“Glorified in His saints”

“When He comes to be exalted in His saints and to be astonished at by those who have believed,” says the apostle Paul. The second coming of Christ will undoubtedly be a marvel. This passage also predicts that something amazing will occur: the glory of God will be displayed from inside His believers. A revelation from within us will show the Christ in us, who is living and working within and around us, who is forming His home in our hearts, and who is the source of our hope for glory. The fact that there are individuals on this planet who would choose to embrace Christ, allow Him to develop in them, and allow Him to be exalted in them for everyone to see is a source of great joy for God, wonder for mankind, and disgrace for the devil.

In the New Testament Recovery Version, each of these eight passages contains a number of helpful study notes that will assist you in understanding God’s Word even more fully.

By studying these eight passages and others like them, we might come to a firm understanding of the priceless reality that the Lord resides within each one of us.

A realization of this nature will strengthen our Christian life in a practical and everyday sense. Subscribe to get notifications about new posts.
